Love to eat in here! Cozy convenience, friendly staffs, and nice food!! Plus, cold beer. It's just a fine restaurant.

My first time here, even though I've lived in the Quad cities my whole life. I read other reviews prior to coming, but my kids like it here, so we went. If you want a booth during their busy times, forget it. They only have four booths. We ended up at a round tall table with bar stools, not the most comfortable. Service was a bit slow, and my chicken Caesar salad looked good, but the garlic bread was almost warm, and the chicken was cut into small cubes, also not hot, which I didn't expect. The lettuce was wilted and not crunchy at all. My kids meals were ok, and they come with a scoop of ice cream. You can choose from vanilla or choc. chip. My kids chose the choc chip. Unfortunately, we were told that they were out of choc chip WHEN they brought it out! So they just poured chocolate syrup on it. NOT THE SAME!

Terrible. Some of the rudest staff I've ever encountered. My hotel recommended it because of their outdoor patio and even called to make sure it was open. They said absolutely come on up. When I arrived the staff did not want me to sit outside ml because they were busy. Not a terrible loss seeing it doesn't appear to have been renovated in thirty years. Not only by the looks but smell as well.

Although the food was good, service was horrible! Waited 20 minutes to get drinks, another hour for our food. My friend was late to his own birthday because of the poor service. The waitress only came a couple times to check on us throughout this hour and half... We all (party of 7) needed refills and of course hardly got them. Did I mention she lost our drink ticket to begin with? I won't go back.

Nachos are good, large portion and filling. Selection of on tap beer is comical...get with the times, add some variety. Not a single I.P.A., on tap or in a bottle. Weak pale ale selection too. Even the large beer glasses are outdated and somewhat cumbersome. Unless all you need is a bud light, which you can get cheaper someplace else, or a fat tire, dont expect too much. Thankfully they had peanuts and popcorn or it'd be a worthless stop.

It's a good place to grab a drink. I wouldn't purposefully pick this place for its food, but if you order, you get nothing special. Meh.. Like I wrote. A good place to grab a drink and then leave for somewhere else.

Anyone who gives the food good reviews was drunk when they ate it. It is a hole in the wall place that caters to their regular drinkers that are as rude to new comers as the staff. We waited 10 minutes for someone to wait on us and when she came to the table the waitress did not introduce herself or say hello she simply snapped at us and told us we have to move tables because it was reserved for parties of 4 or more. There was a total of about 25 customers in the place by the way there was plenty of room for us to sit by the window like we wanted. So we walked to the bar to sit down and someone called my husband the only black person in the bar a n****** and the bartender laughed. We looked at each other and around the bar and left. While we were waiting for a waitress we had time to look around and the place could use a good cleaning also. The table was sticky, dust on the windows, crumbs on the floor and the place smelled like grease. If you go I suggest you prepare for a rude atmosphere and a stomach pump later.

Sevice sucked, stood by a dirty table waiting for it to be cleaned so we could sit down. The waitress walked passed us twice with out a "Hi or "We will be right with you". When I say walked passed us, with in two feet of me. Place has really gone down hill. So we ate someplace else.

This place is close to work and I've been a handful of times and each time I leave there I realize that the fries are the best part of the meal. That's sad. I've had a burger, turkey Reuben and a wrap. But in each instance the fries were the best part. The 2nd time I was there I was with a large work group and I found a hair in my food....on the first bite. It was a freakin' long hair, one that I tried to subtly get out of my mouth and I felt like Lady and the Tramp w/ the spaghetti! The turkey Ruben is a specialty I have heard. Well, the turkey is cheap quality, like Oscar Meyer cheap. Yeah - upon reflection, the fries are delicious. Oh and the bartender Erin is great. The servers - not so much. The server who left the hair in my food ( had to be her, the kitchen help are men) was terrible - and that was before I found the hair. Not really sure why I went back after the hair incident. Probably b/c work folks go quite often.

A great lunch or dinner spot. Large menu with gray salads and sandwiches. We sat outside and enjoyed the patio. Food came out quickly and beers were on special for $2. Will definitely return!

Great place to grab some beers on the patio. I've always had pretty good luck with the food at Governors. Think twice about a fast lunch though. I've tried to go several times for lunch and it's taken 45 mins just to get our food. Overall I would recommend and I go pretty frequently.

If interested in just having some beers, this is the place! Do not order any food because even the hamburger taste like a frozen patty. PS: They rave about the nachos plate but you have to be drunk in order to enjoy.

This is a great American bar and grill! The atmosphere is the best around and my wife and I appreciate the free popcorn and peanuts while your there. We also love their monthly special calendar on every table. The food has never been bad but it is also not gourmet by any means; it's classic american diner/bar food. We have had a good time every time we visit.

Pretty good pub, menu, & service at a decent price. Nice casual patio with seating for about 40, with plastic seating & dining, and a few large potted plants. Inside is A/C'd well. I haven't been here on a Saturday night but I imagine it can get hoppin. My only complaint was that the buns on the burgers are quite weak, so ya gotta get your fingers a little messy. No biggie to me, tho.

The worst service in the area. 10 minutes before anyone acknowledge we had sat ourselves. This was 7:30pm on a Friday with the place emptying out. There were at least 5 waitress', yet the original waitress that took our drink order was replaced with another. The menu was simple, easy to make bar food & shortish. Yet when I ask for a variety of drink they had, I was informed no varieties other than plain. We ordered onion rings for appetizers & 10 minutes later the replaced server came to the table to put down silverware & taunt us by saying the onion rings would soon be ready. So instead of taking our entree orders [menus were down, i was even go thru a grocery flyer] she walked away from the table. I was over it....20 minutes for this. I could be half way finished thru a buffet...sushi even. We declined any more offerings & ask for the check, then split. You're better off going to Applebees, Bennigans or another burger joint. Heck, Village Inn is next door.

i loved the fried pickles, you can never go wrong with that! the bacon burger was sooo good, the bun wasnt soggy and floppy, the bacon was real and crispy and lots of it. the french fries were the best so far ive ever had. side was a bit small but overall was filling for under 20$ for two people.
