The margaritas were good and not too sweet or strong. I had the steak taco dinner and it was also good. They give you two salsas, one spicy and one sweeter & warm. Both were good, but I preferred the spicy. My husband got two steak tacos & also said they were good. The waitress was very nice as well.

First time here food is ok, but couple things that I didn't like cooks were loud and badmouthed , when i asked for a to go menu the waitress /cashier/hostess /manager, said that the owners doesn't care. Bathrooms were dirty so it makes me wonder about how clean isnthe kitchen, this could be a good place but seems that the owners stop caring about this place.

Food was ok, Margaritas had an odd off taste and were served in plastic glasses. Service was slow. The restrooms were dirty and moldy, out of paper towels,no hand dryer and toilet tissue was sitting in water on the sink.

Do not even waste your time with this establishment! Drive to Woodstock and experience a real Mexican restaurant! They tried to rip me off for only about $6 and I'm sorry but this isn't the way you do business! I called, placed an order for a pick up. Then called back 5 minutes later asking them to change it to 2 taco dinners instead of 6 total tacos. They said they would put the rice and beans on the side, I was fine with that. I got there and then they rang me up for everything separately instead of honoring the taco dinner price! I told them to forget it and they said fine. A real business wouldn't treat their customers like that! My girls really wanted tacos and I will drive 10 miles out of my way before I ever step foot in this place again! Raunchy waitress had a real bad attitude! Yuck!

One of the better Mexican restaurants I have been to in the area. Everything is made to order and fresh. The salsa can be very hot some days. I love the carnitas tacos and steak chimichanga.

Absolutely horrible service. It was so bad we left after our waitress rudely served our food. We asked for the owner and the waitress (with an extremely bad attitude) said she is the "daughter". The so called "daughter" (dark long hair) refused to give us the owners number and refused to tell us when they would be in. I'm sure this is not the first time this has happened to customers. Too bad they do not care about their customers, we went there every week. Needless to say we will never go back there and nether will anybody else we know.

Food is decent. Been there for a late lunch twice when the place was empty so service was quick and friendly. Chips and salsa were very good. Food presentation is very bad looks like the food was just thrown on the plate. This is not bad Mexican food for marengo during lunch. If you stick to the basics tacos, burritos you will be fine. You might be better off crossing the street and going to subway if your stomach is sensitive to greasy food.

Food is good, tacos can be greasy though. I hate having to pay $1.50 for a can of pop though! Edit 03/27/13: I have been back here twice since this review and have to say it's gone downhill. The service is so slow, if you go in plan on spending at least 1 hour there. They bring you chips so at least you're not starving by the time your food gets there. I ordered the chicken burrito and they forgot to place the order! I was with a group of people and everyone else got their food but me, the waitress tried to tell me I didn't order but everyone at the table heard me. So about 20 minutes later it finally came out. This used to be a nice little place so I'm not sure what happened to them. I hope they see this and reevaluate their staff.

Great small town Mexican food. Very generous with the portions. I never walk away hungry.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
