At here for the first time. Was greeted immediately when I walked in and although the location is small, it was a very comfortable place. Food was great, I had the Gyro and Horchata to drink. The Gyro was very filling and came with fries. The sauce was very good too.

Not a bad little hot dog place over by the DMV. They actually serve breakfast, and one Saturday morning we were doing laundry and decided to get something. We had egg and cheese on a croissant with hash browns. The hash browns could have been a little more crispy, but the sandwich was awesome. There was plenty of cheese, and the croissant was so fresh. Also, the price was right at only $7.00 for both of us. I'd like to try them for lunch or dinner sometime. They have your standard hot dog stand fare (dogs, beef sandwiches, burgers, etc). It's a bit tucked away, so I hope they can do a decent business in their location.

While waiting for my boyfriend to finish at the DMV, I decided to check out Georgie's. Originally I just was going to grab a drink, but not knowing how long the DMV would take and having no desire to go back there, I decided to check out breakfast. I ordered the 2 egg cheese & bacon crossaint and french fries. I was very glad to be able to get fries at 10 AM since the other reviews were great for the fries. Those reviews didn't lie, all the food was perfect. It was actually too much food, so I was greatful when my boyfriend got done quickly (well quick for the DMV) and was able to help me finish the food. I don't anticipate being in the area again any time soon, but if I am I'll definitely stop by to try the lunchtime food. Also in response to previous reviews without any signage, they must've got the memo Bc theres now a big sign out front and great window signage.

I'm not sure why this place had so many stars. When I went there for lunch the man at the counter was more into a card he was reading than to notice I was waiting. When I got my burger there was nothing special about it. In fact it could have used more seasoning.

Always satisfied with this place. Staff is always courteous and accommodating. The food is always good and very reasonably priced. The delivery is always fast and never messed up either. This is a great little red hots stop!

Their gyro is the best deal in town The sandwich is huge, well-dressed and delicious. I actually remove some of the meat and save it for later since it's so much food, especially when I order fries. Georgie's also serves deep fried candy bars, (Snickers, Reese's, etc.) I don't think it's on the menu, but just ask.

Very nice small community spot with good food. What impressed me about the place is how clean the kitchen is. Everything looked brand new back there which gives me a warm fuzzy I'll definitely be back!

Georgie porgies pudding and pie sorry but you really made me sigh ! I got your Hot dog "n" fries to go and sadly I was not satisfied with the food. For one the hot dog was like rubber and the bun had no poppy seeds and was wet "Gross" The fries where to slim soggy and glued greased together. Not up to the standards of a good Hot Dog & Fries. I just tell it like it really is.I not going to lie or sugar coat nothing.

I had just got my renewal tag at the dmv and was hungry and I'm like, this place could be interesting. You know how it is with places with a Vienna beef sign in the window, it could be pretty good or cafeteria awful. I decided to press my luck cuz i was in a hurry, I walk in and was pleasantly surprised that it was well lit and looked nice for this kinda place. Ordered a Gryo meal and it was 8 bucks with fries and a drink which isn't bad at all. My food was up within a few minutes and i was on my way back to work. At the first light I reach in to grab a fry and am pleasantly surprised by fresh cut fries that were cooked perfectly and delicious. I spent the next 5 mins driving back to my office wondering if the gyros will be as good as the fries. Plop down at my desk and hot dang, this is easily in the top 3 best gyros ive ever had. I literally had 5 co-workers ask me if it was my food that smelled so good. So yeah.. this place is a gem.

I'm usually running around and I happened to be in the area and decided to give Georgie's a try. I must say it was a very clean restaurant and the food was fresh! Oscar was very friendly and brought up my grilled chicken combo very quickly. They also offer delivery which is a huge plus. I had the grilled chicken breast with the fresh cut fries! I will definitely be back! Thanks guys

A special thanks goes out to Yelper Dave S for tipping me off about this place. Within a few days of receiving a tip that there was a fairly newly opened hot dog joint near the DMV in Lombard just off of Myers road I decided to head out there and take a look for myself. There was no Yelp listing for it, or anything else I could find online, and with a little bit of searching through a mostly empty shopping center I finally found the place I was looking for Georgie's Red Hots. In doing this review I thought about writing the entire thing (and may have written an entire exceedingly difficult to read draft) in the phonetic style of a British Geordie accent since the place is called Georgie's. But rather than create another gimmicky review I decided to go for something a bit more basic and add that to my bag of tricks for the future. The first thing to notice is that this place is actually hard to find. There's no sign above the business itself, just signage in the window, and at night I had to circle the parking lot to actually find it. Once I found it I walked in to find a clean, small, hot dog joint. After looking over the paper menu I decided to order a hot dog with everything and a cup for water and waited patiently for my order while I added the business to Yelp. Very quickly thereafter my food was ready. The hot dog here comes on a regular non-poppy seed bun. The bun was not dry, but was a little firmer than I'd like and probably could have used a steaming. The frank here is a skinless natural casing dog and had a nice snap when I bit in. The pickle spear used was a little thicker than I'd prefer and not quite as long as the hot dog itself but wasn't so thick to overpower the other flavors. The mustard, relish and onion were well applied as well. There were a pair of sport peppers that were a nice compliment, but not long enough to get sport pepper in every bite. The tomato slice here was a bit on the thick and watery side but tasted fine. Overall the service here was friendly, the price was fair and this despite its flaws was a well above average quality Chicago style hot dog. I am going to give Georgie's four stars and recommend it if you're in the area and looking for a solid Chicago style hot dog at a fair price.
