    Cute place. I've heard so many good things about their pizza, but my husband and I sat in and decided to try the beef sandwich. Food portions are huge here, and service was great. We both thoroughly enjoyed the sandwich. There was enough to take home for lunch the next day, too. The only downside was the fact that the place is really small inside. If it's busy, you may be waiting a long time to get a table. It might just be better to take the food to-go. Next time, we will be trying the pizza.

    Was excited to try their pizza. We ordered 14"sausage and green pepper, thin crust. Delivery The good : crust is great Cons: way too many peppers. And they were sweet peppers you usually get on Italian beef. Wouldn't get that topping ever again. Bland sauce and sausage. Also skimpy of the sausage. Too much cheese Big Con- delivery driver totally tilted the pizza when he removed it from the carrier. Shifting the cheese. He also didn't have a pen. I'm sure we will give it one more chance. But there is way better pizza in the area. Especially Sals in Lombard and Angelos in Downers Grove.

    Excellent lunch over the weekend! I was in the mood for something new so I decided on Armand's Victory Tap. It's located on the edge of the Yorktown Mall in Lombard. I walked in with my husband shortly after they opened. There were a few groups that walked in at the same time but we still had great service. Our server (Staci) did a fantastic job!! She welcomed us right away and brought us a list of drink and food specials. We were able to take our time before placing our drink and good orders. Armand's is known for their pizza but we both ordered sandwiches--great choice. I ordered the Beef Marc Antony sandwich--filled with a large portion of Italian beef. I could not believe the portion size--great value. The sandwich had a great flavor. My advice would be to make it a fork and knife sandwich! Our server boxed up the rest of our meal and promptly cleared our table. I will be back soon to try the pizza or another sandwich...next time I'm saving room for a homemade cannoli!!

    Love, Love Love this place!!! I had been going to the Elmwood Park location with my parents as far back as I can remember. Once they opened their Arlington Heights location, we were stoked. I recently moved to Lombard and was THRILLED to see that this location was open. Hands down the best thin crust cheese and sausage pizza anywhere...even better than their AHTS and Elmhurst location. My mom says its just like the old Elmwood Park location. Whenever we go, we split the antipasto salad and a sausage pizza. I have ordered the baked ziti and meatballs, and that was outstanding as well, but the smell of the pizza made me miss not getting a pizza too! I'm here typically once a week, whether it's carry out or dining in. I just wish the restaurant was bigger, you need to get there early, it fills up fast! Understandably so! Keep it up Armand's!

    Loved this place - dined in on Thursday. It was busy but not overcrowded. Enjoyed my waitress - she had a different name, I think it was something Nelly. Super nice and super attentive. She offered recommendations for appetizers such as the caprese salad and the fried calamari. We took her up on this offer. I very much enjoyed the caprese salad and my stepdad enjoyed the lightly breaded fried calamari. The pizza was also great - very thin but crisp crust. We got half spinach half sausage and it was awesome! :) Will return!

    Armand's is by far my favorite thin crust pizza - we've been eating at Armand's since I was a little girl at the Grand Ave. location in Elmwood Park...I'm not even sure if that one is there anymore. After visiting the Elmhurst location for many years, we recently discovered a new Armand's in Yorktown Center - whooo hooo - what a find! The place is small but so cute - it looks like a tavern you might see in the 40's-50's with pictures of movie stars on the wall. The menu has all the signature Armand's specialties...the Stuffed Artichoke being one of our favorites. I really liked their extensive drink menu and tried the Bourbon Grapefruit and Basil cocktail and really enjoyed it. The pizza is delightfully thin and ridiculously crisp, topped with fresh ingredients and the perfect amount of cheese. You can feel and taste the cornmeal on the bottom of the crust - which is what sets Armand's pizza apart from the others. This might be the one place where I could eat an entire pizza all by myself! Aside from the very sparse outdoor seating area - there is nothing lacking at this newest outlet of a suburban Chicago institution. They should do very well in this location, I know we will be regulars.

    What a nice surprise! I wasn't sure what to expect, but I wasn't expecting the food to be as good as it was. First, the margarita pizza is delicious. Thin yummy perfectly crispy crust, olive oil bottom, not greasy, fresh basil, fresh mozzarella, fresh tomato. So easy to keep going until you're about ready to burst. Tried the chicken Parmesan - very good! Couldn't help but notice the tempting looking entrees others ordered. Everything looks very, very tasty. What's nice, is their prices are low for the quality of the menu items. We also had a huge portion of tiramisu that was just delightful! For $30 we had a 10 inch pizza, an order of chicken Parm, iced teas and dessert. Servers are sweet and friendly and very helpful! A great choice if you're in the Lombard/Yorktown area and hungry. The place was packed for an early dinner and the noise level was loud, but not too loud.

    Getting better? Before our food came, my wife said "we're never coming here again". Then the food came and it was very good. before then? Hair on the plate, lipstick on the water glass, ten minutes to get water after we were seated. It took about an hour for us to get our food. manager swaying from table to table, slurring his words--clearly buzzed. I smell the son of an owner if I ever met one--albeit well in to his 50's.

    I'd never been to the Armand's in Elmhurst, but I was really glad to see a sit-down pizza place open at Yorktown. It's outside at the Shops on Butterfield, next to Tom & Eddie's. It's not a big space, neatly divided with about 10 tables on one side and a bar and high tops on the other. Black and white tile, Edison bulbs, pictures of 50s movie stars, a big chalkboard with the specials on it. Looks very nice. I think they're going for more of a classic Italian restaurant vibe, which I appreciate, but ... here's my first nitpick -- there aren't really appetizers, per se. There are "small plates" and salads. The small plates include clams, bruschetta, a fresh mozzarella plate, calamari, and then things that are basically small entrees -- ribs, sausage, even chicken parmesan. I mean, I have no problem with this, but I feel like there should be a few more appetizery things, mozzarella sticks, fried zucchini, maybe some toasted ravioli? In any case we started with the ricotta and crostini plate and there goes another nitpick -- it was a generous portion of whipped ricotta with four weenie little toasts. Now, they did serve us all the complimentary warm bread we wanted, so that filled out the plate, but why would you serve a large portion of spreadable cheese meant to be eaten with bread and then only put four little toasts on the plate? Surely the toast is the inexpensive part? But the ricotta was delicious, and the bread was pretty tasty too. So there is that. We also got a 14" thin crust with pepperoni, and it was delicious. The crust was crunchy-crispy and the cheese was nicely browned in spots, which I dig. All in all a very tasty pizza. Service was reasonably good. We stuck with water this time but they do have a full bar and decent beer list. Guys, if you add toasted ravioli or similar starters, or even just put more bread with the ricotta, we're likely to be back. And I'm sure there will be some carryout in our future.

    We've eaten at Armand's twice before and I fell in love with the Barrata salad. We ordered several small plates to share and it was excellent. The food didn't taste like I was at a restaurant at the mall - more like I was in Little Italy in the city! The eggplant parmesan dish was my fave. We stopped by again over this past weekend. Much to the chagrin of my husband, I'm not much of a pizza lover. I have to REALLY LOVE the pizza or I don't even want to order it. The place was really busy and we walked by a table that had a deep dish (or do they call it 'pan'? I can't remember) but it was the thick kind. I told my husband we were ordering that. He was thrilled! Turns out it tasted as good as it looked! We ordered a huge one so that we would have leftovers. I just had the last piece for BREAKFAST this morning, which prompted me to take the time to write a review. Thanks, Victory Tap, for making my husband love me more now that we found a place where we can order pizza together as a REAL couple. The only thing I have a problem with is that I eat way too much because I still have to order the eggplant parm and the salad and I go home way too full.

    It's simple: if you like a nice crispy crust with some corneal to give it crunch, fresh ingredients and fast delivery, this is the place for you. Downside? Calamari was tougher to chew through than my Spanx. Never been inside the restaurant- only had delivery, but yeah. LOVE the pizza.

    The Armand's crust is amazing! Had a sausage/pepperoni and ordered it well done/crispy and it was outstanding. My wife had the Sausage Giambata and loved it . . .as did I. The only problem was that I had to eat inside on a 70 degree August day. Need more outdoor seating! Definitely a great pie and look forward to exploring the rest of the menu.

    My husband introduced me to Armand's. Upon hearing I'd never tried it, his jaw dropped. "You've never had a thin-crust Armands or a stuffed artichoke? We HAVE to go." We came in for lunch a few months ago and I was instantly hooked on the crispy, crunchy thin crust. I ordered the lunch special pizza w/ roasted red peppers and sausage. It also came with a salad. We also ordered the clams and artichokes as an appetizer. Like I said before, their pizza is great. If you enjoy thin crust, then I definitely recommend giving them a try. The lunch special is the way to go as it's a pretty decent sized individual pizza and you also get the salad to go along. I will also make a side note not to come here if you're on any time of time restraints. We'd arrived at 11:15 and didn't make it back to work until almost 12:45. There was a party of 10 that got here well after we did, but their pizzas were all put into the oven before ours. I ended up being late back to work. We gave them another try this past weekend when the Armand's in Wheaton was closed. (Side note, the one in Lombard *IS* open on Sundays, as opposed to the Wheaton location which stays closed all day.) My husband's family came over so I left the ordering up to him, but we ended up spending $70 for two pizzas and a salad. It turns out that you're charged for each topping an astronomical amount of money. They have "recommended" pizza listings but if you order a 14 inch 1856 pizza, you'll end up spending $8.25 on toppings alone (+$15 for the pizza) and $10 for a 16 inch (+17 for the pizza.) I definitely understand charging a surcharge for toppings as opposed to a cheese pizza ,but I think these prices are way too high. I think it would be nice if they put prices next to the "recommended pizza" to make it more clear. Also, I actually the simple pizzas were better anyway. Try the Uncle Mikes! It's my fave. The artichoke is all that and worth every penny. I love them. However, I wouldn't order the family style $14 Armand's salad again. I thought it'd be a huge salad, but it wasn't anything special and not all that big for the money. I give Armand's a 3 star based on taste and value. The taste of the pizza is great, but be advised that you'll probably end up spending more than you normally would on pizza.

    Okay, its Mothers Day. It wasnt busy at the time we were eating. The bread basket had some crouton foccacia pieces in it. Had to ask for more regular sized pieces. My dad ordered a house salad and we ordered a pizza. Salad never came. Pizza was over cooked and burned. My mom was never asked if she would like another glass of wine. I begged for some more iced tea. No servers to be found. One busboy wandering around. We got our check and was not offered anything for the missed salad. This busboy started stacking dishes on our table in front of us and grabbing my iced tea! I had not finished. Can you possibly wait until we pay the bill until you clear everything off? Note to Armands...get a restaurant manager! I cant believe this can be the same restaurant family owners from Elmwood Park when their grandmother was cooking in the kitchen. This service/food would never fly there.

    I. So happy they are at Yorktown. Their pizza is selfish and what we usually order. We went without the kids and ordered what we wanted. I had eggplant Parmesan and the hubs had spaghetti and meatballs. Their salad is yummy too, it had fontinella, artichoke hearts and roasted red peppers. Our waiter was really great too. Super friendly and helpful.

    I have been here a couple of times and been able to sample a good chunk of the menu. The eggplant parm (whether appetizer or sandwich) is outstanding. The Burrata salad is unique and one of my favorites salads anywhere. The pizza is outstanding as well. The only know against the place is that the service can sometimes be a bit slow. On a Friday night, our server was struggling a bit to stay caught up, but he was very polite and apologetic about the delay.

    2nd time back and ended up with the same server/bartender Sam. Sam recommend the Chicken Marsala.... Both food and service was amazing. Sam knows his food and how to treat a customer. . You feel like you are eating in his home... Will be back...

    Armands has been my favorite pizza for the last 35+ years. Used to frequent the one on Grand Avenue that has been closed for several years. Then we would go to the one in Elmhurst that is also great and now this one in Yorktown which is also awesome. Never disappointed

    My girlfriend ordered a pizza for pickup for the two of us this evening. She placed the order in person, left her phone number to be called when it was ready. She was given a 30 minute estimate. I met her at the beer house and we waited for a call. Just after the 30 minutes passed, I walked over to pick up the pizza or wait until it was done. When I got to the pickup counter, the girl working behind the counter was busy sending the delivery guy out with a few orders. That was when I overheard, "You have to take this to the beer house. The bitch gave me the wrong phone number." I'm not sure if Armand's thinks talking inappropriately about customers in front of other customers is acceptable, but I certainly do not. Any thoughts, management staff?

    Went there with some friends to have a few drinks and pizza. Service was fine, but the white clam pizza was fantastic. Could have used more outside seating as we wanted to sit outside, but the few tables they have were full.

    Tried it last night for the first time. We sat at.a high top in the bar. We started with the Buratta salad with arugula and stuffed artichoke. The artichoke was way over done and drowned in oil. We ordered a thin crust and a Sicilian pizza. The Sicilian we had to take home because we didn't realize it had meat in the sauce and it was good Friday. As for the thin crust, Ive had frozen pizza that tasted better unfortunately. Service was over solicitous and a little bothersome. Also more expensive than you would expect for this kind of food.

    Well, we were really excited to try this pizza, because we haven't found alot of good super thin crust pizza joints yet in our area. We ordered the house salad with their house dressing and a 14" sausage, green pepper and onion pizza . First problem - way too much stuff on the pizza. I don't want skimpy toppings, but the amount of green peppers and onions was excessive, but the amount of sausage was not enough. And there wasn't enough sauce. Good thing was that the end pieces were nice and thin and crispy like we wanted, but the middle seemed soggy and under-cooked. The salad was good and I really liked their house dressing. It was a red wine vinaigrette, but it had a creamy consistency. The salad was fresh and plentiful. Service was good and she did a good job at refilling our drinks. The inside of the restaurant isn't super big and I kind of wondered if when they get really busy if you are sharing a table with others - not sure. We will give it another try so we can try a small thin crust pizza with only sausage, extra sauce and possibly try their pasta. But if their food isn't good, it would be the last time we would be back.

    I like Armand's enough to give them repeat business as the quality of the food, the friendliness of the waitstaff, and the atmosphere were all top notch. The only qualm I had is with the pizza itself. While the crust was great and the ingredients fresh, the pie itself was bland. If the sausage was more flavorful and a few more spices used, this pizza would be near perfect.

    Went in last night with my fiancé. Our waiter was Greg who was awesome. I grew up around the Armand's in Elmwood Park so it's exciting to go to the other locations. The location is fun, the food is never disappointing & the mini patio gives it that city touch. Our waiter was extremely personable & great service over all. We will return:)

    Took my wife and mom here for a pizza night. Tried their sausage and a hawaiin. Both pizzas were undercooked, and the dough was very soft an inch or so in from the crust. This made it pretty hard to eat as you couldn't really pick the pieces up. But the god news is they were so delicious it was only a minor inconvenience! Probably the best hawaiin I've ever had. The ham was crispy and so yummy, it's saltiness set off perfectly by the pineapples sweetness. Service was really good. Perhaps a bit too good for my mom's taste as we had 3 diffrent people swooping in every couple minutes clearing plates, refilling sodas (without being asked) bringing bread. The extra bread came in handy to use with the ricotta spread we got as as an appetizer as it really didn't come with enough crustini. But yea that was pretty good too and there was plenty of it. Smalllish seating area , expect wait times during peak hours. Prices were reasonable. Reccomended!

    Armand's has the most delicious burratta on the planet. It has more density than most burrattas, but still retains the delicious creaminess that medium rare mozzarella should. Their burratta salad has perfect dressing, sweet and juicy cherry tomatoes and fresh crisp arugula. This delicious salad was served to me by Greg, who was personable, professional and a phenomenal server! Three cheers!

    Waited over an hour for thin crust pizza. Only 8 people in the whole place. They made the pizza wrong and offered us a free small cheese. We declined because we wanted to leave after waiting so long for our food. We ate the pizza that they made wrong and it was awful. The cornmeal crust was so thick and hard to chew it hurt our teeth. The sauce was plain and had no flavor or spices. The cheese was very scarce and the only good thing on the pizza was the sausage. How could they mess up our pizza when there was only two other tables having a pizza? Did I mention that they first brought us the other tables pizza and then took it away and said "yours is coming out soon" Then 20 minutes later ours arrived made wrong and tasting awful. Sorry do not waste your time here. We will not be back again.

    We got introduced to Armand's pizza in Elmwoid Park back in the late 70's and occasionally visit the Elmhurst location. We stopped in today at about 5:30 today (Sunday) and were seated promptly. Mike was our server. We ordered drinks and a cheese and sausage thin crust pizza, they were out of the bottled beer I had ordered so I ordered something different. Shortly after the drinks were served the bartender came to the table and appologized for being out, never have had that happen before..ever. The pizza was what we expected, crust a bit thinner than I remembered but I am not complaining. Alcohol was fairly priced. Service was outstanding. Apparently they have a pizza BOGO on Tuesday nights and half price wine on Wednesdays. If there is a downside it is the additional taxes the Village of Lombard has levied on Yorktown, a higher sales tax and alcohol tax. That is not Armand's fault.

    Writing this review off of a first impression on a "Hump Day." I'll first say that I'll be going back to try it again and that it has potential and room to grow. The food was tasty if you're looking outside commercial delivery, not that there's anything wrong with that. I'll move on to the food. We ordered the 1956 Supreme (sausage, pepp, shrooms, green peps and onions). Great taste, crunchy crust, and a proper amount of even toppings. We also ordered the Signature Nova (artichoke, Fontinella cheese, roasted red peps, and basil). A refreshing za, olive oil based sauce instead of tomato. You also get complimentary bread and oil. Nice. A few things that I could do without, the pricing for the Signature Pizza suggestions are great suggestions but the prices are not included. We got a bit caught off guard when we ordered the 1956 Supreme and were charged the pizza plus all of the ingredients. It'd be nice to have the price included ahead of time. Also charged an alcohol tax. The second comment is in regards to the service. Overall, good service and nice folks. With this being a new establishment, it's somewhat expected to have a wait staff with not as much experience as others. However, they are very willing to make sure you have a nice visit. There seemed to be more staff than customers which was kind of strange. Finally, "Victory Tap" is in the name, but not sure if they actually had Victory beer, although it could have another meaning. But good beer selection and a nice big bar. A beer menu would be a good thing to include. Smile when you order!

    We wandered in here after a few beers at Beer House on Friday. Nice looking place and a decent crowd. Service was very good. We had the shrimp appetizer which was excellent. Ordered the pizza with green pepper, onion, and sausage. Crust was light and crispy. Very tasty. Definitely will go back.

    Armand's Victory Tap was a pleasant surprise and has made my "go to" short list of casual places in the Western 'burbs. Kind of small and noisy but that's ok. It looked like all the set ups were for tables of 4. Large groups may have some challenges. Has the look and feel of a classic Little Italy joint, just nicer and cleaner. Once you are seated you almost forget this is at a mall and really seems like a Chicago style storefront restaurant. Sausage & peppers as a start was very good. We also had a cheese & sausage pizza that was also very good. It featured a cornmeal bed on the plate which is a great old school presentation. The crust was crunchy on the edges and bottom but still a little chewy off the bottom. This is the way I like my pizza and they nailed it. My daughter had the cheese ravioli and she enjoyed it as well. Portioned well so she had some to take home for lunch tomorrow. Service was good with only a slight mix up in the sequence of app, pizza & entree. I would say it is certainly worth checking out. We will be back!
