Service can be a little slow but the food is decent. I've only been here for breakfast so that's all I can review. I always get two eggs sunny side up, greek toast, bacon, and home fries. I love there home fries and its hard to mess up eggs. I would give it more stars but sometimes you are waiting a while for your food.

Stopped in on a recent Sunday morning. The place was busy but not all tables filled yet so we were seated right away. Greeted promptly by our waitress (Emily) and had coffee on our table in no time. Food arrived prompt and hot. Waitress continued regular random checks and even a visit from a manager to be sure everything was in order. All in all a good visit and enjoyable breakfast. We'll be back.

By far the worst service I have ever had in a restaurant. I walked in by myself and sat at the counter where there were about 6 seats. One woman was at the first seat and I took the last seat. The waitress in front of me was washing dishes and NEVER turned around to welcome me or ask to give me a menu or acknowledge me.She continued to wash dishes. I looked at the other waitress behind the counter, with her back to me as well, and asked if it was ok to sit there so she would quickly come over and give me a menu. She continued to make fresh coffee. I turned around and asked the waiter on the floor if it was ok to move to the booth in back of me and he said yes. He never came to take my order let alone give me a menu. FINALLY, i moved back to the counter and they all ignored me and continued to do their cleaning duties. I finally hailed him down and ordered a bowl of soup. It came without napkins, and there were no napkins on the table, and he put it down and got lost. This was the first time I had ever been in Bob Evans. I WILL NEVER ENTER THAT PLACE AGAIN. What horroble service. I guess they hire waiters and waitresses that don't have to ask you what you would like. You just get up and go and find a server and ask if you can order. I will be sure to pass the word around since I am in the hospitality business and people do mention going there for breakfast. I guess they enjoy being abused. Marina C.

Do not go here, if you are expecting quick service. This is my 2nd experience in 2 weeks since I recently moved into town. First meal was grilled chicken tenders. Meal was a small portion, and the protein looked "frail". Waitress was not around very much. Manager was sitting at a table in the back... this was a sunday... Second visit... sat at the same table. Had a different meal, that was much better then the last. Again... Waitress was sparce to be around until the end of the meal. Actually had two other waitresses come over to assist when we had discovered a cold baked potato. Just too long of a wait for food. I really don't want to go back. Other food establishments do better. Both times, it wasn't that crowded... no wait to be seated... just slooooowww service.

Am new to the area so I wanted to try a restaurant that's new to me. I choose this place but likely won't be returning. I ordered the turkey dinner and it took over 45 minutes for it to arrive. Other parties came in, ate, and left before my food arrived. I was told the hold up was due to the mashed potatoes. Really? When they did finally come they were cold. One top of the long wait the staff needs a review of good hosting skills. My booth was near the front of the restaurant and I frequently heard the staff yelling to each other down the isles with customers on both sides of them. The waitresses were also joking and arguing with the kitchen staff. A few times comments were made about the day staff that should never be made publically. Overall a very bad experience.

Dog food! That's what this reminds me of. Omg this was THE worst restaurant experience in recent memory. At least for me. On the way home i thought it would be nice to grab a family meal from here. I opted for the meatloaf with green beans and mashed potatoes. The green beans were fine, and the young lady at the counter was very polite. That's where the good points end. The meatloaf was so salty and mushed in your mouth. I couldn't handle more than one bite. It was so repulsive. The mashed potatoes had some weird film above the top when I pulled the lid off. The rolls were as stale as ever. Couldn't stand it. The cherry dessert was hard and the icing fell off as it was picked up. It was like plastic coating. Never again. I did write to them on the website to announce my disappointment. Oh mylanta!

Service was friendly and quick! The food was all great accept I would have to give my hash-browns a failing grade. I loved the environment and the chocolate milk was delish! I wish they gave more bacon, but I am a bacon lover!

I ate at this restaurant on April 27, 2014. When I entered the restaurant there were four females, I assume all waitresses, in a huddle behind the counter talking. After I kept moving around one of them happened to notice me and came over and seated me. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and a BOWL of vegetable soup. The waitress brought me a CUP of vegetable soup. The waitresses kept talking to each other constantly. When my grilled cheese sandwich was ready the waitress picked it up and held it and just kept talking to another waitress. Finally she brought it over to me. These waitresses constantly talk to each other. They don't have time to work for talking. HORRIBLE SERVICE.

Really really wanted to like this place. It was so homey & cute inside customer service was about as good as you can expect later in the evening. Loved that the menu also had healthy selections so I decided on the savor size apple, cranberry, walnut & chicken spinach salad. The salad arrived much smaller than I expected plus it just smelt bad. I mustered up one bite after picking away wilted spinach and had to send it back; majority of the spinach was old & wilted, there was no chicken & all in all it was severely disappointing & downright gross. I ended up ordering a breakfast to go because I didn't want to sit around & wait but was willing to give them one more chance. Breakfast was meh! Unimpressive, with the menu selections the only thing I can think of is the cook just wasn't into it. Oh well I'm hoping that just this location wasnt up to par. I would pass on this place, to be honest I've had better breakfast selections at dunkin donuts.

I don't know why I am writing a review about a Bob Evans in Joliet, but here I am doing it. Service was good, the restaurant and bathrooms were clean and well-lit. Standard breakfast fare. Probably the best place we have found to eat breakfast, when we have had the ill fortune to need to eat breakfast in Joliet.

This was one of the best overall breakfast experiences I've had in a while. The price was super cheap for the amount of food I had and the service was great. The food was exactly what I wanted and cooked exactly how I wanted it. I had gone to another place the day before for biscuits and gravy and it just wasn't done as well as it should have. This was perfection! Everyone I was with had great food as well. All in all I'm glad we went and may have to hit another bob Evans in the morning.

I'm surprised by all these poor reviews about food time to table. I've never had to wait that long and today's service was actually really fast. My server was delightful and quick to assist with a smile. As for the food you can't really go wrong with biscuits and gravy. They are one of my all time favorites. I did however get some pretty gross hash browns which is knocking down the rating a peg. Otherwise great meal and some good cappuccino. This was. 4 star until I went to take care of my bill. The girl at the desk completely disregarded me and just held her hand out for my check. No hello, how was your meal, nothing. She then says the price and holds out her hand for my card, then tells me to sign. The whole time also chatting with other staff at the front. It's not only bad customer service but just rude.

DO NOT EVER EAT AT THIS LOCATION! My family just ate at this bob evans for my grandma's birthday. We accidentally left cards for her on the table, when we went back to get them, the staff had taken the money and gift card out! They said no one took it and didn't do anything to try and get it back. I am so disgusted by this behavior. They steal from people!

Personally I love Bob Evans and will always continue to go because of their Biscuits and Gravy; they have the best. However, this location is poorly ran and the staff seems unhappy and unwilling to help. I find this to be true given the last three times we have went we have ran into a problem. Poor service, food sat in the window for so long it was dry and cool yet the plates were flaming hot. The managers seem unwilling to assist the busy servers and rarely do table visits. I love Bob Evans but am disappointed that this is the location near our home.

Seniors, don't go for a discount. I was told if I wanted a senior price ,that I should order from the senior menu. All that gets you is a smaller serving for a slightly smaller price.

Holy shit! 20 minutes for an egg sandwich to go? The breakfast was great for $6. The wait was not. Don't go there if you are in a hurry!

Again very reasonably priced for families. Not exquisite but not meant to be. I love the sausage gravy and biscuits here
