I want to say that I love their pizza and sandwiches. They are a bit pricey compared to fast pizza places in the area but it is worth it. I also want to add that they have OUTSTANDING customer service...my 12 yr old daughter and her friends ordered pizza and had to leave before they got it. Of course there was no receipt or anything so I went to the place to see if she could get her money back. We were offered a pizza with NO problems at all. A+

I'm from Homewood and this is my favorite pizza place. I usually get takeout or delivery, sometimes the service can be slow when you dine in.

Whenever I go to an Italian restaurant that I haven't been to before, I usually try the Spagetti with meatballs (Sausage on the side). If the spagetti is good,m then the next time, I can get more adventursome. Next time at this place - I will have the spagetti again - it was THE BEST!!!! The marinara sauce is flavorful without being over-spiced. The Meatballs had garlic, cheese, breadcrumbs. They were light, flavorful, just like cousin Ralphie used to make. The italian sausage was home made - my oh my, delish! The garlic bread had enough garlic to keep dracula away for a very long time - and it was very very good with the spagetti! My friend had Italian beef on garlic bread with fries. Enough fries for three - the beef was tender, no grisle, well seasoned without being overly salty or overly fenneled or overly oreganoed. Spot on with the au jus - but when I dipped my garlic brea in the au jus, I could not stop - it was so very tasty. They had seasonal Samual Adams - my friend had just had it in Boston last week - nice to know that this place keeps up. My iced coffee was delish - not too strong but also not too diluted either. We were going to grab ice cream from Mitchell's down/up the street so we weren't looking for dessert - not that we truly had any room. I had one scoop from Mitchell's and thought I was going to explode - I was so stuffed! and I "blame" Mama and Me - they fed me much to well. . .

I've been to Mama & Me's a couple of times, even before they moved down Dixie Highway. The pizza is fresh and the thin crust is still the better option. Expect to wait about 20-25 minutes for a pizza and it can get busy on the weekend. New location looks fantastic compared to the original. The pizza is delicious and always piping hot. Definitely a good option if you don't feel like waiting for Aurelio's.

I really like this pizza The pan version. Its not sweet like arrelio's or arerenello's so its a nice change of pace from what I usually get in Homewood.

The customer service is terrible at Mama and Me Pizzeria! I've been eating at this pizzeria for about 1 year. So I am a regular patron of this establishment. I only purchase pizzas on Mondays which is half price pizza day, and that is a good deal. The quality of the pizza is average. The crust lacks flavor, and they are skimpy on the cheese. That's why I always order extra cheese. I repeat, I only eat this card board on half price pizza day because the Family size is large enough to feed my family for 12 bucks. I would never pay full price for it. Unfortunately, I've been having some unpleasant experiences here over the last few months. Many of the cashiers are young teenagers/ young adults. They are inexperienced and they make a lot of errors. On 2 occasions I ordered a pizza and I gave them my name and phone number. When I arrived to get my pizza I discovered that they gave my pizza away to another person with the same last name! So I was left with a rejected pizza that had toppings on it that I did not want.....they didn't offer any discount or compensation. Hell I paid for a pizza that was not what I ordered, so they could have least gave me a discount! I was hungry so I took the pizza. I didn't have time to wait for another pizza to be made..... Yesterday, after a long day of work, I ordered a pizza and I gave the cashier my name and number. I had to repeat the number 5 times to her before she put it into the computer. So I picked my pizza up, and drove home. I live about 15 minutes away so it isn't a close drive. Anyhow, when I got home I was surprised. My pizza was burnt! It was missing 2 of my ingredients which were pepperonis and extra cheese. I paid extra for those ingredients. I was pissed, hungry and tired, and I called them right away to explain the situation. The manger got on the phone and was extremely defensive and had a bad attitude. She told me should would only remake the pizza if I brought the pizza back to her immediately. I explained to her that I was too tired and sick to drive back to the restaurant tonight and that I would bring the uneaten pizza and the receipt in the morning time on my way to work. She refused, and said I had to bring it back now, and she was hostile!!!!! So basically I lost my money since I was unable to drive back at night, and I was yelled at. I will not eat at a restaurant that does not guarantee their product fairly. (((Thanks a lot for continuously messing up my dinner ))))... Oh and guess what, the phone number was wrong on the receipt again....freaking screw ups!

We ordered pizza from Mama and Me last week, and we were pretty disappointed. The sauce was overwhelming and not particularly good (too tart) and the meat and cheese were too bland. The crust was thin but bready--neither a crisp-crust or a thick crust. Overall, the pizza was comparable to a low quality store-bought pizza, only 3X more expensive. With Aurelio's right in the same neighborhood, why waste your time?

This is really the best pizza for delivery in Homewood. They also have a dining room but it's nothing special. The pizza for home delivery is always spot-on delicious, and on-time every time.

So, we are new to the area and we thought we'd give this place a try out because they are literally right down the street. I called to ask them their hours, and the girl who answered the phone answered 10:30 as though she was confused about it. We checked their other reviews and found a very interesting review on DEX:http://www.dexknows.com/business_profiles/mama_and_me_pizza-b161375?mkt=62901. I printed out the review to bring along with me just to see what they had to say about it. When I showed it to our waitress she asked if she could have the print out because, "She told the owner that people would start complaining about that." Whooah! It's true?!?! OMG.. Moving on, once the staff was no longer confused about where to seat us (it took 3 of them), we ordered. It was my hubby, our pre-teen daughter, and my sister in law. My sister in law ordered an appetizer, cheese filled bread sticks... We were pretty hungry by the time they came, however we were quickly disappointed when we were served three small portioned bread sticks... I feel that since telling the waitress that it was our first time there she should have informed us that there were only three, and it would not be enough for the four of us. Our plates, napkins, and utensils came about ten minutes after our appetizers so we had to sit there kind of messy... The pizza came, and again disappointment. It wasn't enough for the four of us, it was just ok. They tasted like store bought frozen pizzas... I feel that we had to beg our waitress for refills... We were not paid any kind of attention to at all, and even my sister in law agreed that it was almost as though we were not welcome there. The live entertainment really ruined it for me. In addition to having to sit there unattended to and not be served... not really diggin' the food- we had to endure loud bad music... I won't go there again even if it is down the street- I'd rather make the 20 minute drive to Beggars.

I love Mama and Me's. Even though they changed locations, it's still pretty good. I have only gotten the thin crust, and the first time I had it (2002) it left an impression on me. But my family didn't really start ordering it until recently, an idea of my own. Tired of the chains delivering us not so delicious pizza and not liking Aurelio's too much, I started ordering for my family from here. I find the pizza to be perfectly cooked and pretty delicious. There are a lot of different toppings to choose from. Also, I disagree with others in that I think the crust is perfectly crisp and has never been too chewy for myself. The sauce is a nice blend of tomatoes and other spices and I enjoy the meat options. For delivery, I find that it never really takes that long for the pizza to come and it's really very good.

I use to go here every Monday for the half price pizza but they real disappointed me when I really need me. The big blizzard last year; this was the ONLY place open so I decided to have them deliver to me. It took abut 40 minutes but it was the worst pizza this place has ever made for me and I haven't been back since.

Yes, I would love something other than Aurelio's but this place is not that great. Go for the weekday specials. They should spruce up the dining room a bit. Wobbly tables, messes, etc. Oh well. The pizza can be as drab as the place, but .....
