It's OK... pricey for the portion of food. The Homewood location seems to always be busy with lines and waiting but overall, their as much better options for this type of food with better portions.

Glenwood/Homewood has long needed this restaurant. If you go during lunchtime save yourself 20 minutes of wait and order online or through the app. This location is unusually packed. Chipotle is by far my favorite fast food restaurant. It's actually healthy, or can be if you get the bowl with no rice in terms of carbs. I find the salsa, beans, meat etc.. consistantly fresh. A big bonus for me when I consider the chain as a whole is their Food with Integrity Policy. The animals they use for their meat are naturally raised without hormones and are given space to walk around and engage in their natural behaviors. Veggies are organic as well. Not something you can usually say about a big corporation: Chipotle has heart.

This location is really nice & clean. As always the line is long but it moved pretty quickly. The staff were nice & cheerful and seemed to enjoy working there which i like. The food was fresh and good as always. I will definetly come back to this location again. Hopefully it will stay this way.

They still suck!!! One person working the food line and three people standing around doing absolutely nothing.... I swore I wasn't coming back - I meant it this time for real for real!

The reason for two stars is because of the service. The food is still good, I pre-ordered for pick-up. Once I arrived and went inside I was told the order was never received, then I had to wait an additional 20 minutes for my order to be made.

This restaurant has the longest line ever. They are always running out of stuff too. The entire staff almost always seems so unprofessional. I have stopped going to this location & now I go to the location in Munster, Indiana or Matteson, Il. I prefer them much better!

I love Chipotle and was so excited when they opened shop in Homewood. That's where the excitement ended. Since they've been open I've visited a dozen times or more. Each time I was met with very long lines, understandable of a popular business, but these never seemed to move anywhere. I kept hoping that as the restaurant staff grew more comfortable and experienced with their jobs, they would be able to get through the crowds with more ease. Not the case. The wait time is still incredibly long and slow. And they have plenty of staff! I am used to going to another Chipotle in Rosemont during lunchtime and the lines are always out the door. But the staff move you through the place with such ease, you'd never know it. I was hoping this would be the case eventually in Homewood, too. Not so. To add insult to injury, after finally getting my food and diving in, I nearly gagged. The chicken was so disgustingly fatty and gristly, I couldn't eat it. Nail in the coffin. I will not eat here again.

Today is the LAST time I go to this chipotle. I live all of 2 minutes away but if it's not one thing it's another. Long story short I was in line for over 30 minutes.. Once I get to the end of the line to pay I ask for a shopping bag and she holds my food to the side like she's about to throw a baseball to say " I can't give you a bag for one Bowl". Fine! I was already irritated to that point. Once I get home all my food is on one side of the bowl thanks to the cashier, my rice was hard as rocks, the mild salsa (tomatoes) was mushy... Just horrible. I'll make the trip and go to the one in Indiana on Calumet.. At least I know I will get MORE for my money.

The experience at this chipotle has been consistently poor. The staff is slow and overwhelmed. In slow period the food is still not ready. There dining area was shockingly dirty. Jose the "manager" seemed disengaged and irritated. He never helped his staff, took initiative nor did he receive the app and fax orders, they walked out upset. Upsetting that the represent this community. They should be rock stars, this location damages the brand.

Still very consistent after all this time! The line still gets long if you come during their lunch rush. They seemed to be getting better with preparing the on-line pickup orders. I came here for lunch one time and after paying, i dropped my burrito bowl on the floor. They were very nice and made me a new bowl. I would have been so sad if they didn't. The staff is always friendly and generous with the portions. Love coming here for lunch! Always hits the spot!

Stopped by this location for a Burrito Bowl to go and the corn wasn't up yet so the server asked if she could finish up my order and put the corn on the side when it came up and I said 'sure.' We'll when I got home (I'm only 15 minutes away) the corn was FROZEN!!!! Now I admit it is cold outside however, the inside of my car was a toasty 73 degrees. I'm going to think twice before I stop here again.

Awesome food, close to home. I love that they are honest about where they obtain their food. It is great to know that they get their product from cruelty-free vendors. The people who work here are friendly and professional.

Awful, awful, awful customer service. Shockingly mismanaged. The employees are so oblivious and incompetent that it makes me sad. The quality of food is good...because it's Chipotle, and the corporation has standards, but it's unfortunate that the same cannot be said for the employees. It's very clear that they would rather be anywhere else but at their jobs. The portions are skimpy despite how much they cost. The line is always out the door and moves at a snail's pace. Someone please come in and save this location because Chipotle is awesome and it deserves better than this.

I love the food at Chipotle, but at this particular location, the question is always "What will they be out of this time?" The answer can vary, but there is almost always something-lettuce, salad dressing or yesterday's clincher-forks!! I am not sure how they expected me to eat my salad there with only spoons and knives available. It would have been nice if they had mentioned it when I was ordering. This location definitely needs to get more organized!

Glad to have a Chipotle in the neighborhood - I don't have to go downtown anymore to get my fix. Don't be put off by the often crazy line of people waiting to get their burrito on - service is fast, the food is fresh and the staff are friendly. While it is a little pricier than other fast food joints, you definitely get what you pay for. I love the burrito bowl (barbacoa is awesome) and the guac is too good to pass up.

Chipotle chipotle chipotle. Sigh, I've tried to like your imitation tacos and can't seem to make myself do it. So today, for teacher appreciation day, I stopped by today after work for the buy one get one free deal. I heard about the deal from a fellow staff member at school. My friend however forgot to tell me that the deal began at 4pm. In line at 3:47 to be exact I attempted to order my burrito bowl plus one. The girl at food prep didn't know what I was talking about when I asked for the teacher appreciation deal, strike one. Don't you discuss these specials with your staff during the team meeting?? Then once I pointed to the sign and asked her about it she said she would check with her manager about me getting the deal a few minutes early (time now 3:49). The manager was not impressed, so it was a no go. Fair enough. Attempting to compromise I asked to place my order and pay at 4pm. Still not impressed (time now 3:50). With ten minutes to go I was told I would have to wait. So I left. Overall I think it's very PETTY that your store wouldn't honor the deal due to a thirteen (ten minutes if you count the time we spent bantering) minute difference. I understand what time the deal started however, when you're supposed to be "honoring" teachers for all of the hard work that they do and then not accommodating them when they show up a few minutes early is ridiculous. I've worked in retail before. I know there are rules but I also know that there are exceptions to every rule. Giving me the special a few minutes early was not hurting anyone. In the grand scheme of things will my $6.25 make a difference? I doubt it. But I feel better knowing that I didn't spend my money at a place that pretends to appreciate their customers...just as long as they aren't thirteen minutes early.

There's always a long line when I come here. That's either good or bad depending on your thinking. The food is good, typical Chipotle grub. Staff is indifferent and not very outgoing. Inside is clean and gotta love the freak music always playing. I'll be back.

This is my favorite chipotle! Matteson, Naperville, Schaumburg, Orland Park can't compare! For some reason the team here is always on point. No wonder it's always packed, but well worth the wait unless Antwon is working. Then the food is thrown around, the line is dirty, the people working the rice is stingy and gives smart remarks, meat is not prepped, and he is the only one that doesn't wear gloves!

I honestly did not expect to be in there as long as I was. First, the issue was that they had run out of white rice. So, I waited, waited, waited. After the rice arrived, the two people preparing food seemed to be moving in SLOW MOTION. Omg. The restaurant seemed short staffed as well. The man grilling chicken eventually got on the serving line to finish preparing my burrito. I guess he realized how unsanitary it was to have various orders sitting in the open for so long. This place disappointed me & spoiled the good Chipotle name we all know & love.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
