Super nice and considerate. The drinks are great, extremely close to where I live and there are a lot of tables and chairs available! Which makes it nice to meet up with people. And hey have a drive thru! Very clean and everyone is very friendly.

I usually go through the drive-thru at this Starbucks location a lot. I'm giving them at least one star because I usually have good encounters when going through the drive-thru. My brother and I recently started studying here seeing that we take summer classes at the community college. I have to say how disappointed I am as a customer in this place. They seem to not care at all about the people physically inside their store. It's so rude to ignore your customers. I understand that the drive-thru people may be in a hurry, but the people in the store are actually the people you interact with directly. My brother and I are both gold card holders, meaning we get free refills on iced coffee or tea during the same visit. We actually stay there and study! On two occasions has my brother gone up for a refill and been charged the full amount even upon showing his card. Also, I order a passion tea with apple juice all the time - in fact, an employee there recommended it to me and never have I been charged extra ANYWHERE. There is one employee there who constantly charges me an extra dollar for the apple juice! I am done going to this Starbucks.

The Starbucks itself is fine -- standard Starbucks offerings and service. The driveway and drive-thru are treacherous and not well designed.

A longtime Starbucks loyalist, this is my local favorite. The quality of service and coffee is consistent. What really sets this place apart, however, is the staff. I've been going so long, it's like my family. Very friendly. Quick service. No complaints here.

Slowest Starbucks I've ever been to. Their flavors are very bland too. They have fallen far from Starbucks standards

Very slow drive through. Also, I've been coming here nearly every work day for 3 years and this location has never wowed me with any service interaction. They have never asked my name, and they still mess up my drink order now and then. Giving them credit though for fixing those crazy potholes they had leftover from the polar vortex.

The drive through is absolutely awful. The service is way too slow. No complaints as far as my drink orders go, though.

I'm a fan of the blonde roast myself. it's not nearly as burnt tasting and offers a different flavor. When I tried to order this, they told me it wasn't on tap but they could make me a pour over cup. As if I knew what that meant. Whatever. Five minutes later, I had my blonde roast, custom made just for moi. I met a friend here and we talked for an hour or so without getting a bum rush out the door. However, as the sun went down, I felt like there wasn't a place in there that didn't have some kind of searing glare. It fit the bill, but I most likely won't go back because the ambiance at this former Wendy's has changed much since its fast food days.

This location offers the standard Starbucks fare of over-roasted beans, semi-stale sandwiches, and overpriced frozen concoctions. Interestingly this location is housed in a former Wendy's hamburger building so the lay-out is a bit odd. Overall, I believe most folks pay for Starbucks coffee so they can be part of the "cool kid club" and feel affluent. If I need a cup of joe on the go, I would much rather have a tasty cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee down the street----half the cost and all the pretentiousness is left at the door!

i gotta say that this location is one of the worst ive ever dealt with ... the employees at this location seem to have a 'i dont care' type of attitude and seem to lack an urgency to help you....... very strange i must say i hate the drive thru here also, seems like they take longer than the other starbucks locations.... wonder why... though..... ughh poor employees here make starbucks look bad.....

I often come here as it's closest one for me, but honestly, I think service needs a lot of work on. I know these are kids (compared to me) and have loads of learning to do, but sometimes, simple courtesy of dispensing food and drinks with a little enthusiasm seems a lot for some of them.

A new suburban location in a not very walker/biker friendly area so it serves as a drive-thru as well. The inside is large and never crowded. Of course, the prices are outrageous and tips are encouraged despite the ready-made nature of most products. Panera and Caribou are the only other coffee shops in the area..I'd recommend Panera but if you're in a hurry/lazy use this drive-thru as it's always very fast.

3 stars only because of the internet and items. The internet went down at my office and I didn't feel like going home to work. So I came here hoping the internet would be back up in a few hours. Previously I had only been thru the drive up, and it was ok, nothing great nothing bad. I ordered coffee and a lemon loaf. I don't typically do the prissy latte double mochachino frappe light with 15.5 pumps of no sugar syrup (pretty sure that's not a thing but that's what all the silliness seems like sometimes). Strong coffee that is made well is what I require. And they delivered. Coffee was great! Additionally the lemon loaf was excellent. I had been to Starbucks a few months back and got what I was told was lemon loaf and got some weird mini loaf with icing all soaked in and sticky. It was nasty not what I thought was lemon loaf. Well the old one is back apparently and it is fantastic as always! They had internet. Free wifi. Again exactly what I needed since I was there to work. I guess my only problem was the service. The girl at the register was not friendly or courteous. I felt like I was bothering her for even placing my order. I received a "here you go" for my lemon loaf not once a thank you. Additionally I went up to get a refill and asked if they did them (prepare to pay for another if not-wallet in hand) and I got the response "for what?" I could have understood "oh yes for brewed coffee only" or a simple "yes" since it was the same girl tho took my original order but no. I just thought the service overall just sucked, not friendly or inviting at all, and certainly not courteous. Practically lived at Starbucks in Chicago when in college and the one by my place in Libertyville is super friendly and nice (albeit they have some awesome completion from Hansa up the street) so I'm no stranger to Starbucks. Just don't feel this place offers the nice service most do.

Average and typical Starbucks experience, the staff was friendly, the service was fast, but nothing was very impressive by an means. I'll definitely meet a client here again, the seating was comfortable.

The Manager Heather here really needs an attitude adjustment. Sorry, Heather you have to work here but treating the customers like trash is not acceptable. I usually frequent this location at least 10 times a week and after being treated like trash by this Manager, this will be my last. Why should I pay for a high price drink and get someone with a bad attitude. I will pray for you, Heather.

Slow drive through, drinks are always wrong and the service is terrible. I'll wait for twenty minutes for a latte - being the only customer in the store. I would drive the extra mile down grand for an exceptional Starbucks!

I got wrong drink, when i called the manager promised replacement drink and free drink coupon but only received the replacement drink ... Was told manager didn't put it on the list ... Sounds minor but my normal local Starbucks wouldn't let this happen !! Will not be returning to this location !!!!

This is a pretty nice and large Starbucks location located near Six Flags. The staff was relatively friendly and quick. The line for the drive-thru was long so we went inside. They made our double espressos the way we liked them. No issues. I would stop by here again if in the area.

Friendly staff and super fast in the mornings. I stayed at the Hampton Inn across the street this week (M-Th) and came here every morning (T-Th). The first day I walked inside to grab the usual Pike Place roast along with a berry coffee cake for breakfast, then also grabbed a water and espresso shot for the afternoon (not my favorite [don't like all the added sugar], but necessary. The next two mornings I went through the drive-through, which - even though there was a long line - was surprisingly fast! Friendly customer service, and very efficient. To all the Starbucks haters - sure, I too prefer Blue Bottle, Sightglass, etc. etc., but we're not in San Francisco. We're in Gurnee, IL. ;-) And to any new market entrants, I'd love to see a local roastery and coffee shop succeed, and welcome suggestions, should you have any!

Got a chance to try their almond croissant this morning! It was pretty good. A little on the pricey side but I can deal with that lol. I'm a huge almond croissant fan. Although Panera's "bear claw" isn't bad, it lacks the nice almond filling taste that Starbucks has.

Tried the drive thru today. Oh my gosh. I almost pulled out of the line and drove away. A customer in front of us was taking forever. I wondered -- is this because the customer ordered something ridiculous or are they having issues inside. Well, I won't leave you in suspense. The team was AWFUL. When we finally did make it to the window, they handed me an iced chai. Didn't ask for an iced chai. They took the order wrong. So we had to wait while they remade the drink. The staff didn't see terribly concerned that it was wrong. Perhaps because it happens so often? Just speculation on my part. What I'm not speculating about? I won't be returning to this Starbucks.

We are from the great state of Washington, you know, the place that invented coffee. While here for the weekend for a wedding, we needed to find some real coffee, which means "where is the nearest Starbucks?" This location was near our hotel, but a "real Starbucks" not one that is located in some store. Easy to find and plenty of parking. At the cashier, I asked if they had a clover. The response: "what's that?" Oh dear, Dorothy, we ain't in Kansas. We ordered the two drinks we have on most days, usually 365 times a year. Nonfat caramel macchiato and whole milk vanilla lattes. Looked around for a place to sit. There are a lot of those tall chairs, the ones that we all grew out of as babies, a bunch of tables, but also five big, sink-in, go-to-sleep type chairs. Five? Does the manager have the sixth one in her apartment? Now for the coffee. This is knock-your-socks-off coffee! We maybe invented it, but this location put the flavor of espresso back in those lattes. Maybe this is how Chicagoans like their coffee.

I have to hand it to Starbucks which took a former Wendy's drive-thru and turned it into a stylish coffee shop. You would hope there would be more outlets to plug in a laptop of tablet, but sadly that's not the case, the music seemed louder for the employees benefit than for background noise which had the customers talking louder than you'd normally hear at other Starbucks. But you'll probably want to avoid this location unless you're a fan of poor customer service. After buying a venti Frappuccino and sitting down for a little work, I finished my beverage and went back looking for a regular black coffee refill, as a Starbucks Gold card holder, coffee refills are free as long as you stay in the location. This was new to these employees and said that the $6.00+ Frappuccino didn't count for this reward. Even after a call to Starbucks corporate to make sure this wasn't the case and pointing it out on their online FAQ, the employees there didn't want to budge, but I was welcome to talk to their boss. At this point I didn't want the coffee, nor to talk with their boss after dealing with the snippy employee response. If I have the craving for caffeine in this neck of Gurnee, I probably won't be visiting this location anytime soon, there's a McDonalds about 100 yards south of this Starbucks, maybe after this review is posted and the district manager includes some retraining I'll stop by again, but don't count on it.

This is honestly the slowest Starbucks in the state of illinois if your in a rush go get coffee from McDonald's down the street. It took them 25 minutes to make my one drink and they even got it wrong.

I'm sorry but this is seriously the slooowest starbucks I have ever been to! It doesn't matter what time of day it is, their drive-thru is ridiculously slow. I was just there on Monday, there was no one in the drive-thru line so I thought yes, this will be quick! Nope, wrong.. still 9 minutes to get my drink. I don't know where it fell apart but before I knew it the drive thru line behind me was around the building as usual. i know they're on a busy intersection but they definitely have to get a better flow system. this is insane...The only reason I go to this one - because it is conveniently located by the entrance to the tollway.

First of all, I can't believe the stuff they sell passes for coffee. Drinking it is like sucking on a match head. And when did we finally decide it was a good idea to pay five bucks for a cup of coffee? How unsustainable is that? We just heard this morning that Starbucks has decided to limit the amount of dairy in their Lattes to save money. So, evidently the only thing that made them drinkable is now going to be cut from the recipe--interesting choice. Tea drinkers: the staff knows nothing about tea. I once asked them what their black tea was and they looked at me perplexed and said: "Um, its black." When I said "I know that--but is it Assam? Ceylon? Orange Pekoe-what?" They looked at me in amazement. Isn't it a more sustainable business practice to know something about the tiny selection of tea youre selling? It would take like five minutes to learn about all of them. I know there are no good cafes up here in Lake county. All we have is Starbucks and its grotesque faux-alaskan counter-part, Caribou. When we need a cafe fix we drive all the way down to Metropolis in Andersonville, otherwise we make our coffee at home. I think, generally speaking Starbucks is a bad idea.
