Pizano’s Pizza Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Fast-food restaurants like Pizza Hut are not recommended to dine-in if you are diagnosed with high blood pressure. Most pizzas at Pizza Hut are high in sodium and hence you must stick to one or max. two slices of any regular size pizza to limit your sodium intake. Try out the salads as they are not only healthy but also keeps you full for a longer period. However, you must ensure that you don't order the salads without any extra dressing.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for High Cholesterol

Keep your pizza intake to one slice to avoid high cholesterol intake while you dine at Pizza Hut. Skip Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice as it contains a high amount of fat and the sodium levels are also very high. Avoid the desserts section completely to limit the fat and sugar intake. You can also limit yourself from ordering non-veg pizza and skip adding sides or dressing on your orders to ensure that your cholesterol is in check while dining at Pizza Hut.

I came here with some coworkers for lunch the week of Christmas, so I wasn't surprised that we were one of the only tables in the restaurant. We called ahead and preordered a thin crust vegetable pizza and wanted to order a salad to share. None of us eat meat, and the waitress was very helpful with helping us determine which salads we would be able to eat. We ended up getting the BBQ Salad, which we all enjoyed. The pizza was also really good. I love Lou Malnati's crust, and this may be a close second. Everything I had was delicious, but the wait time was a little long. We waited close to 45 minutes after arriving to get our pizza, even though we had called ahead and the restaurant was almost empty. The food was good enough that I will definitely go back again.

Had lunch at the bar and the place was fairly quiet. The service was mediocre, not very exuberant. My pasta was good, Pasta Vodka, but no bread was offered. No salad, nothing. Not impressed.

I ordered food for carry out. I was told my order would be ready in 35 minutes, it took 60 minutes and I was left standing around for 25 minutes in the Lobby. The place was empty at noon and not busy at all, which made the situation even more confusing and annoying. The appetizer we ordered sat in the carryout window and got cold in that 25 minutes and was not eatable. The pizza cooks and management were arguing in front of me as the cooks were complaining about the lack of staff at the restaurant. The manager on duty told me the place was a disaster that day. After all that, the pizza was terrible and so wet for some reason that it leaked through the bottom of the box. They didn't cut the pizza properly and it turned into a mess of slop. We called to tell the GM and received no call back. Clearly the people working at Pizanos have given up on the restaurant and are not evening attempting to make this a viable business. Chicago has way too much great pizza to waste your time or money. This place is an insult to the Malnatis name and is nothing like Lous or the downtown Pizanos locations. Skip this place and save your money.

This is a pretty good pizza place and one of the best in Glenview. If I'm ordering a thin crust pizza for dinner I almost always order from here. However, I'm not as big a fan of their deep dish; for that I go to Giordano's. The deep dish doesn't have a very good balance of sauce and cheese and it doesn't stay warm very long. I recommend the thin crust. That said, the ingredients are fresh and there is always a generous portion of them on every slice. The cheese is a good combination of flavors and melts wonderfully. The crust is nice and crispy though it is a little bit on the yeasty side and doesn't hold together very well on the edges. I've never eaten inside so I can't speak to the service or anything but the pizza.

We normally have a great experience at pizanos. From their valet, to atmosphere- which is why I'm giving 3 stars. I'm almost always satisfied here. However, Sunday night we had an odd waiter and our leftovers disappeared instead of being bagged. Awkward service, not warm like it usually is. Slow service. Food was decent, not as good as we've had in the past.

Had dinner with sister-in-law and nieces. Great fried ravioli and deep dish pizza. Service was great and the atmosphere was too!

Love this place! Homemade pasta, Chicago deep dish pizza and delicious appetizers. Tried the pasta vodka - it was al dante and the sauce was fantastic, had a half "brick house" (sausage/mushrooms) and half pepperoni deep dish - the crust ... amazing and our favorites, calamari & bruschetta - large portions and made to perfection. Our waitress was friendly, attentive and quick. The atmosphere reflects the homey feel of this family owned business.

Pizano's is our favorite for Chicago-style pizza. We like the sauce better than Malnati's, and the crust is just as good.

Some of the best thin crust pizza I've had. Sausage has a really good taste and they are not skimpy on the cheese. A little over priced however I will defiantly be going back. Make sure you don't go until the time they tell you for carry out as the pizza won't be done. They also have carryout frozen pizza as well.

I love Pizanos Pizza. But I doubt I would ever return to the Glenview location. We met there for a quick lunch. The place was packed with only one waiter. It was close to 45 minutes after we first sat down until our food was finally delivered to our table. At that point I was so disgusted I told them to take back, what was obviously reheated food. The Manager came over with one excuse after another. If he had only said, I am sorry what can I do to make it right? Instead it was someone called in sick, the kitchen was backed up, etc. Really? Is this MY problem? This guy needs to learn customer service. An added note. The Manager was thrilled to tell me he wasn't going to charge me for the meal I sent back. When I told him I wasn't going to pay for something not eaten, he made a comment about if you order it, it's yours. Another Really? Bye Pizano in Glenview. There are too many other places to eat in your area.

Good food, several big screen TVs and a wide selection of wines and beers. We ordered a medium meat lover's thin crust pizza and it was delicious! Once we were seated, we put our pizza order in with our drinks because we know that it would take a while(tip!). We also ordered a ceasar salad which was very fresh, loaded with crunchy croutons and light on delicious ceasar dressing. Another dish we had was the Angel Hair pasta with meat sauce and a side of Home made meatballs(2pcs for add'l $4.95). The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was light, fresh and delicious! Our meat lover's pizza was amazing! Thick layers of cheese and loaded with meat! The only comment I have is that when the pizza got a little cold, the crust got too crunchy for me. I like my crust still "chewy" even when it's not warm anymore. The service was fast, friendly, and efficient:)

Love this pizza place! Service is top notch and it's the best thin pizza I've ever had. Buttery, crisp crust on and thick cheese! Decent wine list. Casual room in the front bar area and white tablecloths in the more formal dining rooms. Priced reasonably.

Pizano's has delicious food. Love their half-off happy hour appetizers, pizza, chicken marsala, and meatball salad (a delicious side salad that comes w two meatballs.) Bartenders Dick and Robin are both extremely nice and the waitstaff is attentive.

We placed our order and within 30 minutes it was ready to be picked up. We love the location in Chicago and this was good too-not as great but still good. Very pleased with our deep dish spinach and the kids love their thin crust. Just the right amount of sauce.

Me and the wife got the pepperoni and garlic deep dish and it was to die for. The minestrone was really good as well. Super friendly and great customer service.

Last time we went there horrible service and overcooked calamari. The pizza has a lot less toppings than when they first opened. Still good pizza, but overpriced for what you get.

Pizza was great, servicw good. Loving their thin crust sausage & giardiniera peppers. They also make a great chopped salad.

I've only been here the one time, and I will have to check out their thin crust pizza the next time so my rating is based on what I think is over-priced food. The service was fine and I like that they have so many televisions so you can watch almost any sport you want. But I ordered the homemade squash ravioli which was very tasty, but that is all I got was 5 pieces of ravioli for $14.95. It is served with Italian bread and butter. Nothing else! No salad or soup. My husband wasn't hungry so ordered a bowl of tortellini soup for $6 and it was a small bowl at that. The only thing worth ordering was the chopped salad where you get ample amounts of meat (chicken) mixed with a good salad. Just sayin...

I guess if you just come here for a work function and have ONLY the thin crust pizza, I could see someone being duped into giving this place a 3/4 star rating,.....but cmon folks.. If they didn't take so long for a simple 3 topping large thin crust pizza (no, not an issue for deep dish pies...as they should take long) and if their price point wasn't about 3-4 bucks north of where comparable pizzas can be had,(24.50 for a 3 topping Lg.) I might persuaded to completely ignore the MEDIOCRE deep dish pizza these guys (AND LOU'S BTW) produce and give Paisano's a 3-4 star rating.... But Alas, I am not a 70 yr old lifelong suburbanite who pays extra for the luxury of eating in a affluent suburb bc I am afraid of Wheeling or Des Plaines or the city, and who despite probably being loaded seemingly hasn't ever eaten well in places like the N.E., S.F. and/or Vegas. Seriously, there are reviews on here for this place that don't devote 1 word to the actual food/pricing.....is that insanity or is it just me? The pizza looked like a large medium, was priced like an expensive large and was decent. The deep dish has like half the sauce anyone with a reasonable palate would want....and the crust is inferior to Gino's East's...oh, and you need to assume a 40+ minute wait for a pizza at even off-peak times. Yes, even a thin crust which probably takes 11 mins to bake. My friend had a pasta dish and it looked ok, but AGAIN the portion was about half of what I would have expected from the pricing. Cliff's: Stick to the thin crust. Expect to pay about 20% more than a strip mall place for the same thing. If you like sauce stay away from the Deep dish at all costs If you just have to eat in Glenview, like thin crust pizzas and don't care about paying a premium (i.e. You work/live right here and have money to waste/workplace is paying), it's not a bad location to go to.

Even though they have messed up a few of our orders before.....today they redeemed themselves by making the perfect thin crust pizza with easy sauce to accommodate my hectic day which included not having time to make dinner for the family.....thank you pizanos!

Decent pizza place in the burbs. Ok pizza crust, great wings, great salads, and decent beer selection. Staff is fast and friendly. Would of liked the crust to be tastier but everyone else liked. If you're around here, def worth trying.

  • Pam D.

We both ordered pasta. It was good, but rather pricey. We had to ask for bread and it does not come with salad or soup. If I was in the area, I might stop in to try their pizza. I will skip the pasta next time.

Best thin crust pizza in glenview BY FAR, deep dish here isn't up to its claim as best in town. I love the hot mamas pasta with cut up sausage and the BBQ chicken salad is the only salad I will gladly eat. Also, do NOT forget to order the cookie ice cream desert , it is kinda the best thing about this place, and the friendly waiting staff! Minus one star because of the not terrific deep dish pizza, but the thin crust is what's good here, so it's boarder line 5 star for me.

Never had anything here but their thin crust pizza, but if thats what you are looking for don't hesitate. It's awesome.

This is the house that Malnati's kids built. Well, one of them after a huge falling out. A large group of us showed up for lunch and so we got to eat a whole lot of stuff. Calamari was pretty good, the wings were surprisingly good but you come here for the pizza. The pizza is good. Their deep dish reminds me a lot like Lou's but slightly doughier so if you like a good stuffed pie I think it might edge out my beloved LM's-although nothing beats a good butter crust. Service wise, it can be a little weird. We were seated at the bar area where we were the only table a bartender was sitting at a stool because no one drinks during the day in Glenview and our server had to deal with a whole other half of a restaurant. However, if you show up with a smaller group I think it should be better.

I have been a regular customer of Pizano's in Glenview for a few years now and I just have to wonder about "Barry M" and his interesting visit to Pizano's. If an owner wants to serve his food in a certain way, does he not have the option to do so? If peppers or no peppers was such an issue, why didn't he just order a build your own pizza and enjoy the best pizza I have ever had, and I have tried pizza in many many places. Pizano's is a neighborhood treasure. Everyone there from the manager to the bus guys are friendly and interesting. Give this place a try and you won't be sorry.

Yuck! A salad made so many hours earlier that there is a half inch of water in the bowl. Salty salty salty. Pizza, nothing good to say!

Pizanos is everything I love about Lou Malnattis but even better. To me the difference comes in the sauce as I always struggle with the whole tomatoes at Malnattis. Both their thin crust and pan are great and if your worried about being hungry, start with their cheese garlic bread, it awesome. I have had great experiences and great service whether it be for dine in or delivery.

We go here at least a couple times a month, usually on Sunday evening. Food is great especially the pizzas, great pasta dishes and our teenage daughter loves the burger & fries. Great, friendly staff and very cozy atmosphere. Plenty of tv's in the bar room to catch some sports if need be.

  • Dominick M.

This is a 3.5. I have only had great experiences while dining in, but carry-out and delivery have been just alright. Recommendation: do not stray from the italian side of the menu. If I am rating just the pizza, Pizano's is a 5. With that being said, their thin crust is THE best in Chicago. Very unique, crispy, sturdy but not too thin crust with fresh and hearty ingredients. Deep dish is also great (better than Lou's). The pasta dishes are under-ratedly good, especially the stuffed chicken marsala (although they lack that true authentic italian feel for what you're paying for). Appetizers like the calamari and cheesy garlic bread are always go-tos. The atmosphere and decor is a perfect blend between classic italian restaurant and a Chicago sports bar. I have never had a problem with the service.

Used to be a fan of their linguinie in clam sauce....didn't even mind the price because it was that good! Seems there is a different cook now because what I ordered was disappointing. Needless to say, I won't be ordering it again. Thankfully they know how to do pizza still.

Just finished a work event here with about 40 people. The staff was very helpful in setting this event up, and very accommodating of our needs. Food was amazing and the event went very smoothly. The thin crust pizza is delicious. Would definitely use them for future events.

Just a sidebar ... we were in the restaurant at the same as "lived on North Shore for 8 years," and I'm a bit puzzled. The valet parking is amazingly efficient, the greeting at the door always warm, the wait-staff uniformly friendly and efficient, and the pizza is excellent. It is possibly one of the best thin crust pizzas in the city. All I can think is that either my wife and I have been at "Pizano's in an alternate universe for the last year," or North Shore was having a bad night. I think the latter. This is a wonderful place, filled with good people and good food. The same families come week after week, year after year. If you haven't been to Pizano's go. You will enjoy the experience.

Ordered gnocchi with pesto and was presented with overcooked gnocchi served in a mixing bowl of what looked like a quart of Costco quality Alfredo sauce. When I sent if back bothered the manager and waitress said it was in fact pesto. When I pointed out that pesto has 4 ingredients: crushed garlic, basil, pine nuts and parmesan reggiano blended in evoo, the waitress said she knew what pesto is and that this was their version of pesto. Okey-dokey.

Stopped in for what I thought would be a quick dinner with my mom. My food was okay, nothing special. My mom had the mushroom risotto and said it was the worst she ever had. While our waiter was polite, the service was lacking. We gave our order and 15 minutes later were asked if we wanted bread. Another 20 minutes pass and our food is finally brought out. My dish was also $1 more on the check versus what the menu said. If you're going to update prices but not update it on the menu, there should be a note somewhere to reflect that.

The only things that keep Pizano's from knocking Lou Malnati's off the top of my favorites list is that they don't put a layer of sausage on the pizza. If you're going to do deep dish, the wheel of sausage is a must. Also, Pizano's salads aren't anywhere as good as Lou's. Yes, I know that salads aren't the main reason to go to a place like this but I like to have a salad beforehand. Otherwise, Pizano's runs a close second on my favorite pizzerias list.

As I've mentioned in reviews past, I love giving out 5 stars to places I like. I wish there was a 6th star, Capella, if you will. Pizano's deserves all the stars in the cosmos. I've only had one pizza that rivals their thin crust, and that is Pat's Pizza in Lincoln Park. The two are very different, but they are best thin crust pies in the city (in my opinion). I hate it when people state opinions as fact. Start your dinner with Wally's Famous Slow Pitch Salad (named after my ex-girlfriend's dad, no big deal). If you have any room left after your pizza, a Pizzookie is the perfect way to round out your night. I've been to three of the four locations (sorry Dearborn and Chicago). Madison Ave is my favorite, even though you get whiffs of "the city" every now and then. Tourists should make Pizano's their go to spot after walking around Millennium Park.

This place is over rated. The locals give it high marks but I do not think it stacks up to many other Chicago establishments. I ordered the pizza since the server recommended their pizza. I am not implying this is not a good selection but it does not live up to many of the ratings. The pasta dishes are really the way to go here. The service was very slow but pleasant. The restaurant lacks atmosphere. Poor price/value relationship.

The "Best Deep Dish" debate is constant, and while Pizano's is solid, their thin crust pizza really shines. Consistently crisp, I've yet to be disappointed. At the restaurant, the service tends to be nice. The bartenders are very cool. Carry-out typically runs 5-10 minutes longer than the time they give you over the phone, but it could be worse. The only major ding is that, more than one occasion, the management, or whoever is at the front of the restaurant, has gotten visibly or audibly upset at their workers, which is not only strange, but very uncomfortable... when waiting for your pickup, this can be a bit unnerving... Overall, certainly a must try.

"Can I get a large deep dish with pepperoni, please hold the hair?" Apparently, they didn't hear the hair part... Yup, after nearly finishing the first slice, I saw three small hairs on my plate, and upon further examination, there was hair in the crust. Yummy... The waitress apologized and took it off our bill. It was a bummer because we were visiting Chicago again and I wanted to try a new deep dish spot outside of Giordano's and Lou Malnati's. We immediately went to Lou's after. As far as the pizza itself, outside of the special topping, it was too cheesy. It was like eating cheese bread with a little sauce and lesser pepperoni. I should have known something was wrong with the place when it was a ghost town in there during lunch.

Delicious. We already loved the food at his brother's place (Lou Malnatti's), and now we love this place (Rudy Malnatti) as well. This place has a lot more room, which was a pleasure. The servie was excellent. One in our group was in an electric scooter and they quickly, efficiently, sensitively accommodated that as well. Their salad was ok, not as good as Lou's - but their calamari was better. Pizza was tops. Went there once while a Hawks game was on and sat in the area to the right of the entrance - great ability to watch TV while eating.

We had the Deep Dish at another establishment but Chicago locals raved about this spot named Pizano and how good their thin pizza pies were. Well we gave it a try. Wow we were impressed!!! The hostess was super nice and very pleasant towards our kids. The restaurant was very clean and well decorated. Family friendly and really roomy! We had the thin pizza pie with just cheese and the server told us that the it takes 30 minutes to cook the pizza pie. We ordered the fried ravioli as an appetizer and it was really good!! Now to the pie......they don't cut it in traditional slices, they cut it like a grid!!! The cheese was melted just right and it tasted so good! 2 thumbs up!!! We will be going back if we ever get back to Chicago. Next time I want to try the location in the city.

Pizano's in 3 words: hearty thin crust! Pizano's in 28 words: Expect a lively atmosphere and a spacious interior. The thin crust pizza is surprisingly filling. I likey. And why did it take me so long to come here?!

I've been coming to the Glenview location for 5 years, and absolutely love their thin crust! It's in a bit of an odd location, almost attached to a car wash, but don't let that fool you. The crust is crunchy and buttery, everything is fresh (my favorite combo is tomatoes and spinach), and take out is easy, they have a separate entrance for that. Sometimes the suburban outpost of a city restaurant isn't quite as good, and I've never been to the ones in the city, but once this one is not to be missed, and definitely the best option in the North suburbs.

So nothing is really special about Pizano's compared to other Chicago pizza competitors other than they have the "carmelized crust," which I just don't really get. To me, it's just a semi-burnt crust, but that's all a matter of opinion because I know others who love it. The deep dish and thin crust are both good, but not great. I would still prefer some other chains for the price. The service at this location is always very fast, though, and I've never had any problems when I've done take-out here.

Ahhhhhhh yes- Pizano's. The home of one of the best vegetable and sausage deep dish pizzas in Chicago. Only Pizzeria Uno/Due makes a better vegetable and sausage deep dish pizza. And also home to one of the best thin crust sausage pizzas in America. Pizano's thin crust actually outsells their deep dish by a 3:1 margin, so it's a must to order both a deep dish and a thin crust. This review is for the suburban Glenview location, but as far as the pizza is concerned, this review can be applied to their other locations as well, for their quality control is excellent at all of their locations. Service: Their service is always very good, and every time I've dined in with my family, the service has been excellent. The manager usually stops by to ask us how our dinner is going, and they are always very kid friendly which is definitely much appreciated. Pizano's also offers a rewards card for loyal customers which can be redeemed for desserts, appetizers, a free large pizza with two (2) toppings, and a gift card depending on how many points you accrue. History: Pizano's is the brainchild of Rudy Malnati, Jr., the younger son of Rudy Malnati, Sr., who was the original bar tender (and later co-owner on a handshake, but not officially on paper) and manager at the legendary Pizzeria Uno back in 1943. Rudy, Sr.'s other son, the equally famous Lou Malnati, was the former manager of Pizzeria Uno's second location down the block, Pizzeria Due, for 22 years before he went off on his own and founded Lou Malnati's in Lincolnwood, IL back in 1971. While Ike Sewell and Ric Riccardo were the official owners of Pizzeria Uno, someone very close to the "old days" has always adamantly and consistently claimed that Rudy Malnati, Sr. was the brains behind the original deep dish recipe at Uno's back in 1943. We're talking Chicago pizza royalty here, and Rudy Malnati, Sr.'s culinary abilities have clearly been successfully passed down to Rudy, Jr. at Pizano's. Pizza: If you are use to the heavily sauced deep dish pizzas at Uno's, Due, Gino's East, and Lou Malnati's, then Pizano's will be a whole new experience. Pizano's deep dish pizza is not as thick as everybody else, and the tomato sauce is used very sparingly. It does not cover the entire pizza like everybody else. It's fresh and lightly seasoned with various Italian seasonings. It's good, but not as good as Lou Malnati's, Pizzeria Uno/Due, and Louisa's in Crestwood which all feature that signature wine like flavor made famous originally at Uno's, and mastered at Lou Malnati's and Louisa's. Similarly, unlike everybody else (Uno's, Due, Lou Malnati's, Gino's East), the sausage does not cover the entire pizza. But the sausage that they use is the best in the business because their homemade, proprietary garlic sausage blend is supplied by the legendary Anichini Brothers here in Chicago. While Anichini Brothers supplies other famous deep dish pizza places here in Chicago (i.e. Uno's/Due, Gino's East), Pizano's proprietary garlic sausage is heavier on the Italian seasonings. Whatever they use, their seasonings give off an almost woody/pine like taste, in addition to the heavy garlic, small amount of fennel, and the cracked black pepper. It's excellent in every way. When it comes to cheese, Pizano's uses a fresh whole milk mozzarella, which is very rich and far better than the standard commercial mozzarella used everywhere else. And when it comes to crust, the buttercrust recipe used at Pizano's was handed down from Rudy Malnati, Sr. to Rudy Malnati, Jr's, mother, Donna Marie Malnati. She's somewhere in the area of 85 or 86 years old, and she represents the last remaining link to the "old days" of deep dish pizza here in Chicago. If you're ordering the thin crust, the buttercrust comes automatically with the pizza. The buttercrust on the thin crust is the best thin crust pizza crust anywhere in America. However, if you're ordering the deep dish, you have to order it separately because Pizano's regular deep dish crust uses corn oil and olive oil. Pizano's deep dish buttercrust is crunchier and more sturdy than their family competition over at Lou Malnati's, but not quite as tasty as Lou Malnati's. My usual order- the deep dish Rudy's Special, consists of their whole milk mozz, some of the best sausage anywhere, finely cut onions, mushrooms, and green peppers. BOTTOM LINE: Pizano's makes one of the best vegetable and sausage deep dish pizzas in Chicago, and one of the best thin crust pizzas in Chicago. And their Annette's Peanut Butter Cookie dessert is the perfect ending to a nice family pizza night.

This is one of our family favorites. My wife says it's her favorite (other than that little pizza place off of the Piazza di Spagna in Rome.) We like pizza and eat it often. Nice location with free valet parking. Reservations can be necessary. No dress code. When we come we are usually with grandparents to grandchildren but you'll see couples on a date. The sports bar area is the place to sit. Lots of big television with all the top games on from baseball and football to tennis and golf. It's not too loud and definitely kid friendly but it's no kiddie place either. We start with the calamari appetizer. It's always done just right. Some of the best I've had. We always get the pizza so I can't tell you about the other dinner items. It's a thin butter crust with raised crusty edges and a perfect amount of cheese and sauce. We usually get a couple of pizzas to satisfy the different tastes in our crew. I always get onions and pepperoni here. The onions are diced not sliced but I still like them. My girls get the plain cheese pizza or the pepperoni and love it. We finish with the cookie ice cream dessert. It takes a while so order it early. Save room for it. You'll like it. Service is always good and efficient. The servers are usually kids so don't expect too much and you wont have to complain. The manager always stops by and is very accommodating and friendly. Price is a little high but you are paying for the atmosphere and it's worth it. We'll be back soon. Grandpa or my wife will see to it.

You know, for the price, this place was not all that great. The place was not terribly busy, but the servers all had other things to be doing besides helping us. The pizza was not bad, but it felt (and tasted) dialed-in. Had this been a regular pizza shop, at a regular price, it would have been pretty much the run-of-the-mill experience: dialed-in pizza, and dialed-in service. But this place claims to be, and certainly charges, a cut above the rest. They fail to meet that standard, and have not managed, at all, to convince me that I should return.

I usually don't write negative reviews. It's too easy to pick on a restaurant but I have to say my recent order at Pizano's in Glenview was mediocre at best. The wait for pick up was out the door...15 mins for pick up? The pizza was a small deep dish cheese/pepperoni...cold, the cheesy garlic bread was pretty bad & the house salad..sad. All this for $30. Definitely not a good deal especially in a town with so many good pizza houses. Pizano's stop "dialing it in" otherwise one day you could find the lines for pick up not there anymore!

I've been here many times and the pizza and salads are excellent along with the service. Can't speak to the rest of the menu because I just can't get past the pizza. They have it nailed down pretty good here. I get thin pizza. It has a great crunchy crust that I love. I like the pan at other pizza joints more than here but it's still 4 stars in my book. I like that they open the huge windows / doors when the weather permits. Free valet parking. Great big bar with friendly and attentive bartenders. Call before you go for lunch as they have been playing around with the hours. I believe at this time lunch is only on Friday and the weekends.

I don't typically write negative reviews but my experience here warrants one. For starters our order was quite simple -- one pizza, two salads and the Italian beef. Instead of the italian beef, an Italian sausage sandwich was brought to the table and then when our waitress brought back the correct sandwich it came out cold. After waiting five minutes the waitress returned with the pizza. More than ten minutes after that the salads came, and at this point the rest of our party had basically finished their meals. This was the worst service I've ever experienced. This place is terrible!

This place is great! We've been here a few times since moving to the burbs and have enjoyed the food each time. Both times we've dined here have been with kids, and none of said kids have left hungry...and neither have I. The garlic cheese bread is a....mazing. I could probably come just for some salad and that bread alone. But who am I kidding- that won't ever happen. While I'm not a fan of deep dish pizza (I'm sorry, I'm not from Chicago, it's not engrained in my soul), theirs is quite good. But I very much like their thin crust much more. While being kid-friendly isn't always a selling point for a restaurant, in this case, it's pretty welcome. Looking forward to the next visit back!

The first time at Pizano's was last summer with a large party. We ordered several thin crust pizzas which were over the top in flavor and texture. My wife and I went back a few months later. I had pasta with meat sauce but it had a strong off-putting flavor. After talking to the manager we decided it had an over abundance of rosemary. The manager was very nice and even gave me a coupon for a free pasta. We returned a few weeks ago and I decided to return to the pizza. I ordered the Rudy's Special : cheese, sausage, mushroom, onion, & green pepper. However when my pizza was served it was not the one I ordered. Again the manager was very nice but I was unwilling to wait for a replacement. While they took the incorrect pizza off my bill, two problems in three visits is not a very good record. It's unlikely we will return.

Stick with the thin sausage. So good! I think it's the crunchy buttery crust That's why I give them 4 stars for that pizza alone Other non meat ingredients on the thin seemed to get soggy. And the pepperoni doesn't compare to their sausage. Both deep dish experiences had nothing really going for them. The lady did like the spinach/tomato deep. Not so much on my part We had one bad dine in experience. Living a block away we prefer the take out option and to collect the pizza coupons.

Just like at Lou Mal Nati's, the crust was over proofed and had a taste of yeast to it. I ordered sausage and basil pizza. There was enough sausage to cover the entire pizza! Although it was mild sausage so it didn't overpower as much it was a little too much sausage. I thought the crust rather good besides the slight yeast taste and I thought the sauce was really good. We had young servers and the service was excellent! Some of the best I've had.

My first time at this joint. I've driven by many times, so we decided to stop in for lunch on a Sunday early afternoon. We were like the 2nd customer to get seated. It was practically empty since they had just opened at 11am. We were greeted nicely by our server who seated us immediately. Going straight into the food: 1. Artichoke dip was in a little cup with about 10 small pieces of toasted bread. The artichoke dip was so thick and did not have much flavor. We almost wanted to send it back to see if we can get it to thin out a bit but I figured, what more can they do? It was almost like they put a ton of mayo with some cheese and a few chunks of artichokes and spinach. I just don't understand... that was not worth $8! 2. Chicken Parmesan: The chicken was actually very moist and that was the only good thing about our meal. The spaghetti was way over cooked! I thought this place was Italian... don't they know how to cook Al dente noodles? 3.Thin crust pizza was supposedly their famous pizza. We had the thin crust with sliced tomatoes and garlic. It was just okay. The crust was a rip off of Lou Malnati's thin crust. ( we had to order a medium because they didn't offer a small) Our server was very nice and attentive but I wouldn't be back due to the quality of food. Will NOT be back again.

I had the Italian Beef which was pretty good. The bread was nice and soft, but was disappointed that I was charged $0.75 for hot peppers. Overall I thought the food was a little pricey. I'd come back to try the pizza because from reading other reviews... that must be the dish to try.

Love the atmosphere. The service has always been good. Love the guy who comes up and talks to our table each time I've been here. It's not just "how's your meal" but it's an authentic conversation. Love that. Pizza is good, dishes are good. but as I have said before, in the realm of Italian cuisine in Chicago, it's tough competition and although I like this place and have gone back, there are some super duper favorites that stand above. Wear what you like to this place...I always feel comfortable in a hoodie and jeans here. Closer to home, this is a good thing. I'll be back.

Thin crust pizzas are good. We did not try to deep dish. However, prices are absurd ($18 for a "large" pepperoni pizza (medium size as best I can tell; wait staff agreed). The pizzas at Fig Restaurant in Boston (Todd English), one of the best and most creative pizza restaurants in the country are cheaper than here.

Great pizza, Great pastas & GREAT BEEF SANDWICHES. This is one of my go-to places in my neighborhood. It's a great place to take the family for dinner or to just sit at the bar & watch the game. The staff is fast & friendly. They also offer takeout & delivery service.

I love Pizano's. They have awesome deep dish. I had been to locations downtown many times but went to this place for the first time a couple weeks ago. Service was good and the pizza was awesome as usual. Will definitely be back when I am in the area.

When we lived in the city, we went to the Pizano's there a few times and it was really good. I was assured that the one out here is the same people. If it is, then my memory of the city one must be hazy. Or maybe things have just gone downhill. In any event, we came in for some pizza on a rainy Saturday night. It was still somewhat early and the place wasn't crowded. That being the case, I'm not sure why my husband had to wait eons for a refill of his Coke. You know what's hard to eat without soda? Pizza. No water was brought in addition to our beverages so that didn't help matters. Although this was the only major service problem, the service was lacking in attitude as well. Both the waiter and the food runner who served us were dull, humorless, lifeless and seemingly depressed. Now I realize this isn't the best gig in the world, but I also realize that waitresses at Denny's and IHOP are often in better spirits. As for the pizza, we had a thin crust one and it was just ok. The crust was really interesting, but that's about it. Much like the help, it was dull and flavorless. If I'm going to consume a huge number of calories, I want to at least enjoy the experience. As for the nonexistent ambiance, it was extremely drafty and cold in there. Accustomed to being cold in restaurants, I always come prepared with a sweater or jacket to toss on. But even wearing one, I was cold. How much charm can a pizza place have you ask? How about the Chicago D'Agostino's on Addison & Southport? How about hole in the wall in a strip mall La Gondola on Ashland? How about, for that matter, the tourist trap Gino's East at Ontario & Wells? To sum up, we won't be back.

My wife and I have lived on the North Shore for 8 years and had passed by Pizano's on Waukegan Road many times but had never stopped in until this week. Based on the unpleasant experience of our first visit, it will most certainly be our last. First inconvenience was the parking. Very small parking lot and although there is valet parking offered, for those on a casual outing with articles in the car we did not want to leave unsecured, this was not an option. After finally securing a parking space, we walked in only to be "greeted," and I use the word loosely, by a gentleman who was far from welcoming (he appeared annoyed that he had to even greet us and show us to a table) and did not even try to force a smile on his face as we told him "two for dinner." The dining room is dated with very basis furnishings, however if they placed the tables any closer we would have been sitting right next to the several families sitting beside us at the surrounding tables. A reasonably pleasant waitress took our drink orders, two beers on tap, which were served at a lukewarm temperature in glasses which were not chilled. Not overly refreshing. Since we had gone in for pizza we reviewed the menu options which include a variety of specialty pizza's and then a plain cheese which you can then build your own with a variety of ingredients. We settled upon the specialty vegetarian pizza which comes with cheese, mushrooms, onions and green peppers but since one of us has an aversion to green peppers asked the waitress whether anything could be substituted, which we were told it could not. This we could understand, however, when we asked for the green peppers to be placed on only half of the pizza, we were told that this could not be done. Since this did not seem to us to be an unreasonable request (as we would be paying the same price for half of one ingredient and were not making any substitutions in ingredients) we asked the waitress what was the reason why this could not be done. The waitress said that this was something "the owner decided." The waitress was very apologetic and indicated that others had asked the same question and appeared to agree that this management decision made no sense but that she had no leeway. We then asked if the peppers could just be deleted and an extra ingredient added, we were again told "no substitutions" even though all we wanted to do was add another ingredient, not substitute one for another. The only way we could get the pizza we wanted was to purchase it as a cheese pizza and add ingredients individually for $2.20 each, however, using this option we were told that whether an individual ingredient was on the whole pizza or only half, we would be charged the full $2.20 per ingredient price. Again, this made no sense since if only one half of the ingredient was being furnished, why would the full price have to be paid. We finally decided to forgo dinner and just finish our beers and leave, but this too was not possible as the manager then came over to try to explain why a veggie pizza could not be made with green peppers on only one half. We were again told this was a management decision and when we asked the manager what the logic behind it was, there was no response other than we "don't do it and no one else does." We told the manager we had been at many places that make pies with different ingredients on each half and which charge accordingly (1/2 the whole price). When we asked the manager to leave us so we could enjoy our beers and then leave, he stood over us and continued to try to convince us that there was some logic to the restaurant policy. We again asked him politely to leave us be so we could enjoy our beers and when he continued to stand over us and continued to jabber on, we said to him more forcefully, "please leave us alone." At that point he said, why don't you leave, and asked us to get up and leave our ¼ finished beers which we were happy to do and departed. We had heard of another pizza restaurant in the area, North Branch Pizza, so decided to give it a try. Wow, what a difference. A hostess with a pleasant welcome, a waiter who was extremely attentive and management which will accommodate the customer in almost any way. We ordered a specialty veggie pizza (the "Mama Deluso pizza - tomatos, green peppers, mushrooms, onions, spinach) pepper on half the pie and an extra ingredient (sausage) on half which was charged at half the whole pie ingredient price. Not a novel concept....making the pizza as the customer wants and charging for the ingredients that are ordered...full price for an ingredient on the full pie, 1/2 price for ingredients on only a half of the pie! Aside from the pizza being delicious, the service, environment and whole customer experience were excellent. Skip Pizano's and go to North Branch. You will not regret it!

We like this place and would go back on our next visit to Chicago. The pizza is pretty good. Our friends didn't like the deep dish so we stuck with the thin crust. I'm pretty sure I can eat a whole large my myself though... The pasta is pretty good and comes in big portions. We got the linguine in white clam sauce and everyone liked it, kids and all. It looks spendy at $14 but the portion size made it a good value. We ended up going back the same week for a quick lunch and the lunch menu is a pretty good one. For about $7 bucks if I remember right you get a dinner sized portion of pasta (we got spaghetti), a drink and dessert. We were expecting a small lunch portion but it was the same size as the linguine we had the night before. The only thing is that it can be pretty slow here. Both lunch and dinner service seemed that way.

Pizano's in Glenview is okay. It's nothing special, but okay. It won't blow your mind like Tuscany on Taylor. I had Pizano's for lunch at a work meeting yesterday. Like Pad Thai or Khee Mao can be the "testing dishes" for a Thai restaurant, I test Italian restaurants with Chicken Parmasan. Pizano's wasn't too shabby. The chicken was nicely breaded and tender, But the sauce was (a) too acidic (it probably needed a pinch of sugar while simmering), and (b) there wasn't enough of it (which I guess didn't matter due to its acidity). I've only had P's pizza downtown, and it's pretty good. I see Pizano's as the average untalented twin of D'Agostino's, i.e., two locations in the city and one in Glenview, except Pizano's doesn't hold a torch to the quality and flavors that D'Ag's offers. It's not bad by any means, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back. Sorry, P's!

Thin crust pizza is good. Decor is good. Lots of TVs. Good location, near the Glen but outside the Glen's traffic/parking melee. Their crust is just like Lou Malnati's - guess a Malnati founded this rstrt. Lou's has better sausage. Overall I find it expensive for 14" pizza. But if you go here and like garlic, get a garlic pizza - it's very good. Service was good except for at the very end, there was some hijinx with our check. We can add it to the "tried that one" list, but we're starting to think that we're just gonna have Lou Malnati's pan pizza when we want pizza out. It's our very favorite. And so many pizza places are pushing the envelope with the prices of pizza these days. The other thing I don't like is when the largest thin pizza you can get is 14". They know that means lots of people will have to get 2 pizzas, running the bill up even more excessively.

In my recent review of Pizano's in th loop, I said that I wished that they'd open one in the NW burbs. I didn't realize it at the time, but my wish had already been granted. They have one in Glenview. Last Thursday, 1/21/10, my Thursday lunch buddy, his girlfriend and I decided to go there for lunch. We usually have lunch after the noon rush so the place was not crowded at all. In fact we were able to park right in front of the door. We were seated in the bar section, which was pretty nice. It must be kind of crazy when there is a sports game televised. I think they had about 8 large-screen TVs mounted up on the walls. All of them were operating, but with the sound off. The waiter arrived at our table just a minute or two after we were seated, and we ordered a medium pepperoni, mushroom and green pepper pan pizza. (we had come to agreement on what kind to order while we were driving there.) The pizza took a while longer than most places, to be brought to our table, but it was definitely worth the wait. It was delicious. In our discussion, comparing the pizza to other places, we pretty much agreed that it was better than Lou Malnati's, which was pretty much our previous first choice. I thought it was far better than Gino's East, and the service was far better that any Gino's East location, which in my experience generally have crappy service. The medium pizza pretty much over-filled us, and there was a bit left over, but not enough to make it worth-while to ask for a take-home container. While Pizano's is now in the burbs, it still is not close-by, so lunch there is definitely going to require advance planning, rather than our usual impromptu decisions on where to go for lunch. However, we will definitely be back. Some other reviews of this location were negative with respect to items other than pizza, but if I have a craving for Italian food, there are closer places, so my review is based on PIZZA!

What can we say but that it is excellent, we go on Friday's and split an Antipasto Salad and then order a Thin Crust Sausage Pizza. We sit at the bar and watch sports and love it. We highly recommend everyone trying this pizza.

Once I heard that one of the Malnati brothers opened this place I had to give it a try. This is also Oprah's favorite pizza place, whatever that means. We tried the Mark's Special in deep dish. It has tomatoes, garlic and basil. The go nuts with the garlic, which I love, but might be a little intense for some. I am not sure if it was the garlic or the crust but the pizza was very similar to that from Guillivers in Rogers Park. The curst is actually a mix between Gullivers and Lou Malnati's. The place is put together pretty similar to a Lou Malnati's where they have sports memorabilia everywhere. They also have rooms dedicated to each of the Chicago sports teams with enough room for about 12. We got to sit in the Blackhawks room and it gave us that private party feel, though it was a little odd seeing the Savard jersey on the wall the day he got fired. There are flat screens everywhere too. A random thing was that you have to vallet your car. It is free, but I still felt like a baller. Another weird thing is that the menu prices for the pizza are actually a little cheaper than the ones listed online. Shhhh, I won't tell if you don't. This place is definitely worth a try. If you are still unsure after reading this, then search some of the Chicago radio websites and you should be able to find a $50 gift card to here for $25 (like $28 after shipping). That should seal the deal for you.

While the pizza here is wonderful, the host was incredibly rude and belligerent when we walked in. His demeanor was condescending and rude, and he actually raised his voice to my entire group of 16 patrons. We had asked the wait staff to rearrange the tables for us so that we could sit family style, and instead of discussing it with the waitress he stormed into the room and began berating my entire family for moving furniture around. Once the situation was rectified, he actually came back in and reiterated his dislike for what we had done. While he did apologize and send us free desert, we were all incredibly turned off by what had happened. Needless to say, I'll never eat here again.

One of the worst lunch experiences our company ever had. First, we called and wanted to order the advertised lunch specials that were on their website. They said they will NOT HONOR the special because they were supposed to update the website and didnt and they DO NOT HAVE TO HONOR ANYTHING! The general manager tried to strong arm me on the phone with a harsh voice. When I said that this is not the way to do business, they relented and let us order the lunch special. Our mistake When we got the food.....It looked TERRIBLE!!! Super greasy food, the lunch special. pizza has 4 slices the size of quarters. It is smaller than anything we have ever seen. They were supposed to come with salads and none did. The calamari was soggy and nasty, the sausage and peppers was SWIMMING in grease. NASTY!!! This place stinks. First I got yelled at by the manager for wanting to order something clearly posted on their website, then when we got the food, it was NASTY! I can understand why this place is not open for lunch except weekends and can see why they really dont have any business! CAUTION. DONT BELIEVE ANYTHING YOU READ ON THEIR WEBSITE!

Thought this would be a great find since I love Malnati's pizza and wanted a dine-in experience in the suburbs. Thin crust is just okay. Ice tea was pretty bad. And the "deep dish" was NON-EXISTENT. Their so-called "deep dish" was honestly the same thickness as the thin crust. It looked and tasted overcooked. Very disappointing. When we spoke to the manager, he had the gall to say "That's our special deep-dish" and that it is a "lighter version" of deep dish. Are you kidding me?? Oh, and it doesn't look remotely like their images on their menus because "that's a stock photo." All of this was done with a smirk on his face. Do not order deep dish here. A little overpriced for just okay taste. Also they had us and a number of other groups waiting even though they had a whole room completely empty.

We had food poisoning there last weekend and we will not be back. We took another out of town relative to visit and luckily he did not get sick. My mother and I were mildly sick. My husband was violently ill and missed two days of work.

i tried...really tired to like this place, bu every time i've gone there...DISASTER. BAD WAIT STAFF, ITALIAN ENTREES WITH UNDERCOOKED AND SEMI-FROZEN VEGATABLES. LOW QUALITY, BUT EXPENSIVE WINES & COCKTAILS. AND THEY DON'T EVEN SEEM TO CARE...WHY SHOULD I?

Wish I could give this zero stars. We ordered baked pasta with meat sauce and an Italian sausage sandwich. The pasta was boiled with some tasteless cheese melted on it and little meat in the sauce. The sausage was boiled on a cold bun dipped in spaghetti sauce. We were offered neither bread nor water. Our sodas were not refilled. We did complain to the manager who decided not to charge us.

Went here this past weekend. Found the service to be very friendly and helpful. Not sure if it was the manager or owner, but he came by to check in on us and offer us a suggestion for adding hot sauce with our calamari. Had a thick crust pizza, which was very good. But what topped everything off for me was that this same manager/owner(?) shook my hand when we left and thanked me for coming. Nice touch! I will come back just because he did that, and the pizza was good too.

I shoulda had a pizza because my meal was horrible. After all this is a Malnati's restaurant and I LOVE their pizza but I came there with a taste for pasta. What I got was shameful. I ordered bAked mostacholi and what I got was boiled pasta with a glop of spaghetti sauce on it. They put it in a big bowl slopped on some cheese and put the whole thing under a heat lamp for a few minutes and called it baked! There was no bread, no salad, no water glasses, and they didn't refill our sodas. For $12 I wasn't expecting 5 star cuisine but I expected at least some iceberg lettuce, some bread,my pasta to be made as advertised and attentive service. I complained and the waitress brought the manager over who informed us that they only serve bread with chicken dishes and none of their entrees include salad. Then when I questioned him about the pasta dish itself, he conceded that it was probably not what I was expected. In fact, I got the impression that he was less than proud. He was very nice and comped our meal and gave us his card for a return visit. Perhaps we might go back for pizza because it is Malnati's after all; however, I was so turned off by all the corners they were cutting and how they were trying to get by on their good pizza reputation. Times are hard these days and it's expensive to run a restaurant so in difference to us all--serve what you can afford to serve and don't try to fool the customers! We know Malnati's can do things right but they're not doing it at Pizano's in Glenview. I hope they change because it's a beautiful restaurant.

First impression was very good. The layout and decor are very well excecuted. We were on lunch so we stuck to ordering simple entrees instead of the pizza (but we were advised we could pre-order pizza for faster service upon arrival) My entree was excellent but my coworker was served extremely oderis sprimp in her pasta. It was so bad that I could smell it across the table. I was a bit shocked that nobody noticed this in the kitchen. It was extremely potent. We quickly called someone over and they took it away, offering fresh shrimp instead. My coworker declined but ordered something else from the menu. They were quick to get her new order out and even threw in a complimentary dessert the size of my head! While very disappointed in the shrimp fiasco, I think they recovered nicely. For now, I will give them three stars and hope that should I return, they can wow me into uping my rating.

This is pretty flippin' amazing pizza! It takes 30 minutes to make, so plan ahead. Ellen just ordered the whole audience pizza from this place, and Oprah says this is her favorite. I would really recommend the thin crust pizza. The veggie pizza is great as is the one with the basil and tomato slice pizza. The only reason they get a star off is because of their prices. They are a little steep, but the pizza itself is amazing.

Pizano's pizza is fairly good with an ok butter crust. The crust was not what I hoped for but it was delicious. Is thier pizza the best thin crust in chicago? Absolutely not. Is it worth eating? I don't see why not.

I have never been a huge fan of really thin crust pizza until I found Pizano's. I don't care for sweet sauce..so if you do you won't like this place. The pizza isn't greasy and all the ingredients are well balanced. Can't believe I like a pizza place in the suburbs!

As a true Chicagoan, I love our Pizza. Most Pizza outside Chicago disappoints compared to here. Pizano's makes both an excellent dish and thin crust pizza. The staff is very friendly. On my wife's birthday, they provided us with two free deserts for a party of ten for my wife's birthday. The salads are also very good. For those that don't like Pizza, they have an extensive menu of entrees and pasta. The only down side is that this location does not deliver yet.

Holy Spumoni! What a mistake...you try to do something nice and take a couple co-workers out for thier birthday and where does that get you??? 2 days of feeling like you want to puke after eating what they dare to call food! Man this place SUCKS. Im serious... you can not even smell food cooking in this place... im surprised we didnt keep hearing the f**** microwave dinging in the back everytime an order was up - do yourself a favor DONT GO HERE.

Absolutely love the thin crust pizza here...especially Mark's Special. Would definitely recommend it if you're a garlic lover. It can get kinda noisy in the main dining room...we usually try to eat in one of the smaller rooms or wait til a little later when the kiddies have gone home.

Have been here twice for lunch and have been satisfied both times. I love their deep dish b/c it's very similar to Lou Malnati's (I think the owner of Pizano's is related to Lou). I definitely don't get a good vibe from the lady that have seated me both times but otherwise the service wasn't bad. It's a nice place with plenty of TVs, sports memorabilia, and even a piano I'm assuming they use during the evenings so I'm wondering if it's trying to be more of upscale sports venue. The parking lot is small and they offer valet service but I'd be worried to pass my keys over to little Johnnie who just got his license.

Yum! My husband tried the Pizano's in the loop and said I had to try the pizza. I have high standards for pizza and Pizano's didn't let me down. We ordered a thin crust with sausage and mushrooms and an order of cheesy garlic bread to start. The garlic bread was yummy and it was a large portion. The pizza was great. Well flavored with the right amount of toppings and a great crust which I can't describe. It was crisp, had substance and was really perfect. Usually thin crust pizza makes me sick, but several hours later I am feeling just great! One of our friends had the pesto tortellini. It was yummy but had a bit more sauce than I would like. Our waiter was great. He refilled the drinks and had a good attitude. The owner was awesome. He came by and made sure we were happy and treated us as if we had been coming there for years. After my experience with the jack ass at La Gondola, this is a welcome change! I will definitely be going back. I have some left overs for tomorrow which will be a great lunch.

Fantastic food and atmosphere. I feel like I am getting to be a regular. Love the deep dish and the chopped salad. My kids love going there and the staff are so friendly. I even like going into the bar for a good draft beer and to catch a game. Pizanos is definitely my go-to pizza in the north suburbs.

Brand new, just opened. Probably one of the top 3 pizza's in Chicago. It's one of the Malnati's. Very nice bar area, good service, friendly staff. Valet parking. Large sausage pizza was 17 bucks, typical for the area, but the butter crust is awesome.

I have been here two times since it recently opened. The first time I went was to eat and the second time was to apply for a Bartending job. The first impression you get in this restaurant is awful. My mother and I went and I must say the pizza is decent, but that is the only reason Pizanos is getting one star. We both noticed how rude the woman was at the front of the restaurant almost immediately. It almost felt as thought they wanted us in and out. The service was slow and our waitress didn't seem to concerned with our overall happiness. All in all the dining experience was one I could easily forget. When I went in to fill out an application for a bartending job I almost walked out as quickly as I walked in. I made sure to walk in at around 3pm on a Monday figuring it wouldnt be busy and I could talk to the manager. The woman at the front was there to "greet" me again and she informed me they were accepting applications. I am a college student looking for some work and I figured this would be a great opportunity. The woman handed me an application and I politely asked her for a pen, and she literally blew up on me! She informed me not having my own pen to fill out an application is one of the worst first impressions you can give to an employer. After I stood there in disbelief she reluctantly gave me a pen and made me sit on the waiting bench and fill out my application on a plastic menu she handed me!!! There was literally no one in the restaurant and she wouldnt even let me sit at a table!!!! I walked out knowing I was never going to work there or give them my business again. Overall a very rude greeting and one I never want to see again!!!!!!!
