Another "Mom and Pop" place in our small town that really delivers great pizza! If you go expecting outstanding services and a fancy restaurant, you will be disappointed. If you go and expect great pizza, you will leave with a smile on your face. :-) Personally, my favorite quality about Joe's Pizza is the amount of cheese that they provide you with! I have never once opened that cardboard box and been disappointed with the cheese quantity. Yes, the place is old. Yes, their delivery days have confused me over the years. But, man, they have good pizza!

Real brick oven like above. Used to buy pizza there in the 1970's. I now am living in Dixon and thought I would try it again. We ordered two pizzas. One with sausage and cheese and the special that had many toppings. The pizza toppings looked liked they chopped all the various ingredients in small pieces. Then scooped some out as needed. Certainly not the pizza with everything that I remember. The special pizza was by far the worse creation I have ever encountered. And the dough was pretty tough to bite into. I tried the sausage and cheese which was by far tastier than the special. Very disappointed in the quality. And probably will never give joes a second try. I u dear stand each to his own. I ordered carry out and ended up waiting an extra 15 minutes or so until the pizza was done.

My husband and I moved away from the area about five years ago and Joe's is one of the places that we insist on stopped by every visit home. I have to say that we never actually order the pizza, but the lasagna, Italian beef, and ravioli are very good and at very reasonable prices. We happily recommend this little low key restaurant to any friends visiting the area and look forward to a visit every time we come home.

The pizza is descent for a small town shop. The stuffed pizza uses a little too much dough for the bottom crust. Since they cook the pizza sauce on a stuffed pizza right at the start of the cooking process (instead of cooking the stuffed pizza without sauce first, and then in the last 10 minutes adding the sauce on top so it can come up to temp), sometimes the top crust doesn't get all the way done. Customer service can be concerning. Once, I tried to compensate for the top not getting done all the way and asked for a stuffed pizza, but wanted the pizza sauce on the side. What I ended up getting was a stuffed pizza without any sauce, and a $4 container of spaghetti sauce on the side. When I called to complain, the gentlemen was very rude and said I should have been more clear in my order. No apology, no offer to fix it. How could I have been more clear? Did you need a flow chart explaining it? I wanted the stuffed pizza, but instead of getting the sauce on the pizza, I wanted it on the side. That implies I want the pizza sauce on the side, not an order of spaghetti sauce. How about putting 2 and 2 together.... I've had the pizza a few times, but I won't be returning from here on out.

The pizza was good. Our waitress was a little rude. She took awhile to refill our drinks. I would return.
