The Shack is definitely a "Local Flavor" experience. I had and omelet, hash browns, biscuits & gravy and coffee, all for about $8. The waitress was very efficient, friendly and she kept our coffee cups full. The lunch menu looks inviting.

This restaurant has been around for a long time. I love their pizza burgers. I believe I have tried about everything on their menu. Its like going back in time with a 50s coke theme. The staff are extremely friendly. They offer take out as well. Handmade milk shakes are to die for. I highly recommend this place.

LOVED IT! Greasy goodness with a side of Green River soda. Need more? I think not. Good service, comfortable atmosphere. I would go again.

Best burger joint in town. Good service. Just wish their kid's menu had a pbj sandwich.

We were absolutely delighted to have found such a great place to eat. It is very much like a diner when it comes to the food selection, by they are VERY clean inside. I was only in Clinton over the weekend, bu I'm eager to return to The Shack the next time I am in town.

I love The Shack. It is never really so busy that I can't get a table and the food never lets me down. It is your standard small town diner. Greasy food, good service, friendly people, and cheap. It is very kid friendly so we eat there quite often with our two little ones. It is a great alternative to the horrendous service at a fast food place and a great way to support local small business. The only thing holding it back from a 5 star rating is that I love a different local restaurant in Clinton even more.

I ordered their bacon and cheese omelet and it was a bit over done but bacon not quite done enough. Hash browns are to die for- order them crispy! Worst biscuits and gravy I have tried. My husband ordered the pork tenderloin horseshoe and it was Terrific. Their cheese sauce was flavorful and not like a velvet or processed cheese. Quaint place for breakfast.

I enjoyed the Shack. It's a basic, tiny little joint where the kitchen is in view the whole time. Our server was friendly and attentive, and kind enough to check with the kitchen if we could have breakfast after the lunch service had started. They allowed us breakfast, so we had some simple American breakfast stuff. It was good, nothing spectacular, but it was the breakfast we were looking for. The coffee was good. I wouldn't mind visiting the Shack again if I'm ever in Clinton. The prices are very reasonable. The place has a cozy vibe with lots of old-school nostalgia. I would like to try this Green River they speak of. Little did we know that we had stumbled into Clinton during the raucous Apple & Pork Festival until our waitress let us in on what the commotion in town was all about!

The Italian beef covered in gravy is amazing. Excellent service and fast. Prices are very reasonable. We will be back!

They practically give the food away, the prices are so low. We ate there on a Monday at noon, and had our food faster than if we had ordered from McDonalds. It was good, not great, low priced and cooked to order. We were one of the few tables not using either an oxygen bottle or a hearing aid. But in a town where everyone knows your name, they treated us outsiders like we were welcome guests. The burger was hand pressed on a griddle, the slaw was tasty and healthy, and the service was prompt and friendly.

Service, 5 stars, atmosphere, 3 stars, food 2.5 stars. I had a burger and fries. Not bad, but nothing special.

Great lunch for 2 with cheese curds, shrimp dinner, bowl of potato bacon soup, and chocolate malt around $20. You seat yourself and staff was cheerful/helpful bringing fresh hot, delicious food quickly.

Two words: Pizza Burger! Oh my goodness was this good. I'm a little sad I didn't order it myself (I only had a few bites of my bf's burger). There's nothing diet about it though. Come and enjoy it, worry about the calories later.

Got the Shak Shoe and it was honestly as big as Shaq Oneals shoe. The name makes sence now. If you want a large breakfast this one is sure to please. Check out the picture I took of this pile of goodness.

The Shack to me always reminds me of my first "Green River". The last time I was in town, we came here for breakfast which was a first for me (and I guess they had just started). The food was pretty good and the prices were very cheap. It was really busy and it didn't seem like the waitresses were able to keep up but overall it was worth the price :)

If you're looking for a little "hole in the wall", "greasy spoon", this is your place! Has a 1950's dinner theme. Their cheeseburgers are good. They serve Green River sodas and shakes! Delicious!
