Visited Chicago and finally made a trip to WC. I must admit, I'm a fan. The sliders are unlike anything you can get at any other fast food joint. The beef ones were delicious, but the chicken ones are my favorite. I tried the bacon cheddar chicken slider and it was love at first bite. If you're feeling brave, try the Sriracha and jalapeño chicken slider... talk about a kick! What I love the most is that you can have 4 out 5 of those suckers and you'll still only be spending about $6 or $7. I'm just glad I don't live in the area, because it'd be hard to resist going there every chance I get. The only thing in nor a fan of is the slow service. Going through the drive thru will not save you any time. Also, placing the order online before you get there does not make the slightest difference because they don't start putting it together until you get there. Next time you're in the Midwest, skip McD's and teary yourself to a WC slider, or two, or five. You'll see what all the fuss is about.

Used to meet here with the guys every Saturday morning before playing basketball in St. Vitaor's gym. We'd leave our cars here and pile into Carl's station wagon and head to the gym. We'd play for about 2 or 3 hours and then head back to this White Castle location and each get our sack of 10 to go and say "later." It was a tradition that I miss now that my knees say no to basketball, but my mouth says yes to alcohol. No, though I don't think there's any relevance there, it is true!

I know I am going to be sick tonight, unless the food catches up with me tomorrow. White castle food usually does bad things to my insides if I don't stick to the hamburgers. I typically go to the location on Harlem, but my mother was driving through the west side and I decided to place an order online for her to pick up. The last time, Harlem jacked up my order so I'm not overly fond of them. Today I ordered a bunch of Ultimate jalapeno cheese burgers and Ultimate Sriracha chicken sandwiches. Big mistake. I ordered the burgers with extra onion, and both the burgers and chicken sandwiches with extra chipotle mayo. You have to order extra, otherwise you won't get any mayo at all, and even with extra you only get a drop. One of my chicken sandwiches didn't have a single thing on it. The other sandwiches had the ingredients haphazardly thrown on, the cheese was all crooked, the mayo half off, and there was a small scattering of onions on the burgers. I guess the word extra doesn't mean much. Each sandwich, besides the lone naked one, had about 10 large jalapenos on them. If you have seen the tiny sandwiches, you know how ridiculous all those peppers look. I had to take most of them off because they were bigger than the meat. Is it meat? I wonder. I guess horses and zebras are considered meat. I set the order to be picked up at 5:28 PM, and at 5:45; it still wasn't ready. For shame White Castle on North Avenue.

The inside of this White Castle is in need of a good cleaning! Floors were sticky, pop was watered down, tables were dirty. The employees are ok not too friendly but they weren't rude either. But seriously CLEAN UP!

Typical White Castle. Drive by and the smell will draw you in. Caution! Caution! Caution! If you live in the suburbs or you are from out of town you need to understand that this is not the nicest area in the City. Get it?

To me many of the fast food chains that have been around for a very long time have gone down and this White Castle isn't any different! I know that the white castle burger is small it always has been, but I didn't know the meat could get any thinner than it once was in the past. Tthey surprised me because it can and it was a sheet thin piece of meat that is over priced and just plain unappetizing now! All I tasted was bread and pickle...yuck! These little burgers aren't what I crave anymore and just like other chains from the past they need to reach back to the basics and remember what made them so good in the first place! I wouldn't go back for the burger but I do still like the Chocolate Shake, The onion rings, and their chili they introduced last year....so its not all bad!(this is for any white castle) The staff was just there, What I mean by that is they weren't friendly and they weren't rude...basically they could have been a robot taking my order! It also wasn't the cleanest White Castle in the world! I wouldn't run back to this or any other White Castle for that matter any time soon!

My btother swears these are the best burgers in the world. He can eat 15 of them. I don't know how, one was enough for me. I ordered two cheese burgers and two of the new ones with bacon. I felt sorry for the bacon. It reminded me of why I don't eat fast food very often.

I wish I could give this a -1 star. Those who know me best know how much I love sliders mozzarella sticks, and chicken rings from White Castle. Well, on November 11, 2010, I went to the White Castle location on North and Central for a small bite to eat. I had to wait one minute at the order box before my order could be taken, and after more than 10 minutes of waiting in the drive-thru, I still did not have my order, with only 3 cars ahead of me. I wrote to complain, and on November 23, their Vice President of Restaurant Operations sent a letter apologizing and promising me a "complimentary meal of [my] choice." Well, on December 9, 2010, I took the letter to the same restaurant as before to give them another chance. Even though there was only one car ahead of me and very few people inside, it took five minutes before I could drive up to the window for my food. I ordered the #1 Sack with cheese, and onion rings instead of fries. When I gave Latrice, the crew manager, the letter, she said that I could not substitute fries for onion rings. Even though I believe that "of my choice" means "of my choice," I did not want to argue, so I said "Fine." But then she said I could not have cheese! I politely showed her that the letter said complimentary and of my choice, but she said that the coupon was for Sack #1, which did not come with cheese or onion rings. She then became very rude and disrespectful, refusing to give me exactly what I ordered--which was reasonable. After all, I could have asked for a bigger meal. I politely retrieved the letter, asked for her name, and left. I'll take this letter to another location, but I will never visit that Austin location again. And if you don't like waiting forever for a fast-food meal and dealing with ghetto-style disrespect and ignorance, don't go to the White Castle Location at North and Central!
