Diabetics at Village Inn

Village Inn is a tough place for diabetics, and you must be extra cautious while ordering food at the Village Inn, especially if you're a diabetic. The food items low in sodium are high in sugar or cholesterol at Village Inn which makes it difficult for diabetics to choose the right food at the diner.

Foods to Avoid at Village Inn for Diabetics

Village Inn offers very few items edible for diabetics without any threat. You can avoid sandwiches and burgers at Village Inn and try the light breakfast items on the menu. You must also skip the shakes as well as other juices from the beverage menu. Almost all the dinner items on the menu are high in sodium except Grilled Tilapia and 6 oz. Top Sirloin & Toast. Avoid Soup bowls and opt for cups instead at Village Inn.

Very disappointing to a true Napolitano pizza fan. The sauce was sweet and the crust had butter in it.

Large servings with great prices for Italian! Hubby and I had Valantines Day weekend in and choose to order something for the first time by grubhub.com . Of course had to Yelp a few places, and Villa Palermo won for large portions. Under $35, got the Minestrone Soup ( he has not tried it yet), the Chicken Marsala Dinner ( he said it was great!), a Thin Crust Pizza Slice ( Good and homemade, in a good way), and the Chicken Parmigiana with Spaghetti ( great, chicken was juicy and flavorful with the cheese and sauces providing the perfect dish!) The food was really good, but even better were the servings. Wow! One dinner could serve three people easy. While we wish we would have known that, we have lunch and dinner for tomorrow, so who can really complain? Speaking of complaing...Fast service and good customer service over the phone. My only improvement would be for the delivery man. After he called to say he was down stairs, I put on some clothes and came from the top floor. He had issue, complaining after coming out of his running car that 'its cold outside' and said some other choice words...Umm, a) I know that's why I asked for delivery and b) that's why your in your running car! You were not ever standing outside! I almost did not give him a tip, but I did. He did not take away from the food or star ranking, but do not complain to do your job. It's not cool. Overall, great food and I would come here again. Maybe we will pick up or dine in.

Now that I have moved back into Rogers Park, this is my "go-to" delivery place for pizza and sandwiches. For the money - the portions are huge and everything on the menu I've tried so far has been really good. It's a pretty extensive menu too, so odds are they have what you're looking for. I would recommend any of their beef (with cheese) sandwiches or the thin crust pizza. The beef is awesome, fills almost an entire take-out tray, and it's around $5. Without asking, they routinely apply whatever coupons they have and almost always throw a free RC liter of cola in with your order too. You might find a pizza / beef place that you prefer, but I doubt that Villa Palermo will let you down. And I promise you'll be full...

Ordered on GrubHub and food came crazy fast -- 2 star for that The portions were nice, not huge but not scrawny and the food was pretty tasty-- 2 star for that Gastrointestinal trauma within an hour of eating -- -4 stars for that (I can't give 0 stars) Holy cow I'm dying here. My wife had the fettucini alfredo and I had the baked lasagna. We only have one bathroom and I'm waiting for my wife to get out. I like to only write reviews for places I really like, but this one gets a review because I have to take my mind off of clenching. I really wish I were being silly or goofy, but I'm not. Oh no Edit at the request of my wife: She was in the bathroom taking a bath.

Ok so I haven't even tasted my order yet, but I feel it's important for people to know that this is the only place I could find in the Lincoln Square area that delivers ICE CREAM!!! This is an amazing discovery and they even had 3 kinds to choose from. I will update after receiving my order but I stuck with the basic cheese sticks and I'm hoping those are good since they aren't too hard to mess up!

First time ordering from VP. Ordered via Grub Hub. Excellent experience. would be 5 stars but I haven't tried their pizza yet. (I stress yet) I ordered the 1/2 rib tips dinner with salad and spaghetti sides and a Brownie. The portion was Enormous. The tips were in the right amount of sauce. Someone else said they were Mammoth tips. I believe it. Big in size and very little waste. The BBQ sauce wasnt anything special but it was good enough. The salad was ok.. Decent Creamy Garlic dressing and crisp lettuce smooshed into a styrofoam cup.. I only took 2 bites of the pasta because by that time I was pretty full. oh yeah i have about half the tips left for tomorrow along with the spaghetti. I used Grubhub so I didn't have to deal with calling in and talking to someone. (I prefer it that way.) The delivery man called when he was 2 minutes away. And he was 2 minutes away. Never have had a delivery guy call before unless they got lost or they didn't have something i ordered. While I tipped on Paypal, He got an extra buck from me because he was 12 minutes eary, the food was packed well and seperated ..Cold with cold, hot with hot. Nothing worse then getting luke warm Salad.ewww. I will be ordering again. I want to try the pizza or the calzone next time. and the giant Brownie for $2 is a great price. Its huge like 4x4 hunk of lovely chocolate goodness.

Wow! Villa Palermo just delivered two steaming hot thin crust pizzas to my house--with over three feet of snow piled up all over the place-- and plenty of unpaved side streets and allies. Way to go Villa Palermo! Our favorite pizza in Rogers Park!!!

Had pizza, one side garlic. It rocked. I could smell and taste the garlic. The sauce had flavor too. Good job. Please be consistent and keep it up.

This family-owned business has been around almost as long as I have, although they moved from a full-service sit down restaurant further west on Devon to what is largely a take-out and delivery joint about 20 years ago. It's one of the few places where you can still get a meal-worthy slice (with free soda) for less than $5. Haven't tried much else on the menu in years, but fondly recall their chicken breast salad, chicken parmigiana and chicken fingers.

Calzone - Calzone - Calzone. I only ever ordered 2 things from Villa Palermo, Pepperoni Calzone & Pepperoni thin crust. I've heard they have other good things - but the end all be all for me was the Calzone. It's huge and delicious. They were shut down for a few weeks over some health code violations, but they fixed them and are up and running. I'm sad I don't live in the neighborhood anymore, haven't found a good calzone around me now. The pizza is ok. I've not found truly good thin crust here in Chicago, but there's deep dish so guess you can't have both. It's better than Pizza Hut and Dominos. The service was in and out. If you had the guy who owned it he was always cheerful and would talk to you for a second. But some people behind the counter are a little cold and dismissive - largely I suspect due to being busy, because I've seen them all be very nice. I'll stand by my 3 star rating, but it feels better than what it is - so maybe that's all that counts.

Caution! please be aware Of the delivery guys I ordered from Villa a while back and I was waiting for that delivery and looking out of the window the guy pulled up and got out of the car he urinated in the street on the side of the car and proceeded to get my pizza out of his car with his hands he was touching himself with so yes I did refuse the order I called Villa and complain and told them how disgusting it was for someone to do that they said that they were going to terminate that guy and to this day he still delivers for Villa I do not take delivery order from anyone else after that...... Villa gets a big thumb down for the way they handle the situation and keeping someone on staff that is that disgusting.

I wanted so bad to like it. All my boys said it was great, and I love their rotating pizza oven. I ordered a Deep Dish and a Thin Crust, and they both underwhelmed. If I may, I think something was wrong with the dough? The Deep Dish was "stuffed" style, in that it had a top layer of dough. And the layer of sauce on top of that was tomato-paste based and of poor quality. The Thin Crust lacked the requisite crunch. I asked the guy how hot the oven was, he said 400 ... that's too low. Maybe I caught them on an off night... I'm sorry to nitpick so much, but serving pizza in Chicago, you gotta bring your A-game every night.

this has been our go to joint for many years.fried chicken dinner, shrimp dinner, eggplant and chicken parmigiana, ribs all good.palermo beef is the bomb.pizza is good.the villa Palermo special pan pizza is my favorite.a ton of food for cheap.sometimes I wonder how they can make money when I look at how big the portions are.delivery is hit or miss but mostly hit.check out the daily specials.keep in mind this is not fine dining but filling and affordable.

First off, thank you for being open on New Year's Day--like all places should be. Thanks also for delivering to the Double Bubble. Also, thanks for the free Pepsi even though I don't drink regular soda. The pan-style pizza is THICK. The same thickness as many "Chicago-style" or "deep-dish" or "stuffed" pizzas around town. Oops. Well, a large fed the three of us plus leftovers. Pretty solid pizza with a good balance of toppings, cheese, and sauce, but somewhat too doughy. And the cannolis! Wow, they are the best or second-best that I've had in quite some time.

Villa's is some of the best pizza you can get at a pizzeria in Chicago to me. I've been a customer since 1996 and even when I come back home (after moving to Seattle) I still stop to get a slice of cheese with a Sierra Mist all for under 3 bucks! You can't go wrong at this place. They have daily specials with favors you'll love. If you haven't been to Villa's you must go you won't be upset. I guarantee it!

Thank you VP, for feeding my lazy ass (and my wife's fine ass) at least once a week. No, we don't cook. We heat things up and sometimes we don't even want to do that. That's where VP comes in. A quick call and they know what I want (thin crust - half cheese & tomatoes and half pepperoni, pie cut) before I have to ask. In 30-40 minutes a large pizza is at my door. Hot, cheap, and with a liter of pop. The crust is soft and crispy in the right places and the cheese is melted perfectly. The sauce is the kicker. Tomatoey but a bit spicy too. I've never eaten at the location but we've had at least 20 pizzas delivered and it's been consistently good every time. Is it the best pizza in the city? Probably not. But for those in West Rogers Park, it's a quick, tasty and nicely-priced option if you want to stay home, not cook, and watch Celebrity Apprentice or some shizz. Cooking is for suckers anyway... right?

This pizza sucks, and these people on the north side have never tasted what good pizza is supposed to taste like...poor things! The only good thing about this place is the cheap pizza slice and small soda for about $3 that my 8 year-old likes when I'm too lazy to cook dinner. They must be nasty too because the health department shut them down last year for awhile. Yuck!!!

I ordered delivery from here the other night. Got baked mostaccoli for a solid price of 5.80. Delivery was on time (tho the estimated time was over an hour :/ The food is fine. I don't think its anything I would ever crave, but for the price its not too shabby. You MUST get a giant brownie thats for sure. It is from bakery that I totally am blanking on the name of but it was killer. Super super delicious. I would recommend Villa Palermo if you are guarding your pocketbook, but its nothing too terribly special.

I grew up in the Park and remember when they were a sit down restaurant. You can eat inside, but you better bring a AK-47 with you at night. One of Chicago's best Italian beef sandwiches. Order it juicy with peppers. Open late...leave the motor running!

I've eaten Pizza in every nook of the US! They have the BEST pizza in the US! This is coming from a pizza fanatic. I'm a sucker for the typical cheese pizza and Villa is the best. Crust, sauce, cheeses is just excellent

We've been ordering from Villa Palermo for over ten years. The pizza and salads are great. The salads especially go on forever. Everything else on the menu has taken a downturn though. The pastas are obviously frozen and nuked in the microwave. But yes we keep coming back for the salads and pizza. The garlic dressing is to die for. Also...um...best to get delivery. The place is really filthy. Best not to look. I'm also wondering why the menu is not available on line. You can find several versions that are truncated with most of the prices left out. Their catering menu is available. But the complete delivery menu is only available at the restaraunt.

I must say this place is amazing, the prices are great and the food is good. I usually get the Palermo Beef sandwich and Shrimp fettuccine and it is the best. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because the Pizza I thought was OK but everything else on the menu tastes great, so you cant go wrong.

This was my north side delivery spot for years and years! Let me break this down a little more. When I was a lot younger, my mom would order from here. Also, my friends' families would order from here for a pizza night. When I was in high school, I would order from here for my mom and me almost whenever we wanted something delivered. When I graduated high school and was working long hours, I would order late into the night from Villa and even got to know the delivery guys. Villa Palermo is not only a place that fed me over and over again through the years, but it is also home to some of my favorite Chicago comfort food. Stuffed Pizza with sausage and mushroom - Amazing Chicago Thin Crust Pizza (sausage beats pepperoni & it depends on if the cook/person taking orders knows what you're talking about, but double dough can be beautiful) - Amazing Palermo Beef - Amazing Rib Tips (which are pictured) - Amazing Fried mushrooms with BBQ sauce for dipping - Amazing Meatball Dinner - Amazing (There are plenty more things on the menu to rave about, but try for yourself!) Now, I'm not saying that what you're going to get here is going to please your Yoga instructor or personal trainer, but damn is it some stick-to-your-ribs goodness! I salute you Villa Palermo. Sorry for moving so far away, but thank you for filling my belly over the years with your delicious grub.

I have been looking for an alternative to JB Alberto's forever and finally found someone. Ordered through Grub Hub and the delivery came almost to the minute of the estimated time. They did a nice ob of packing everything up for delivery adequately avoiding the crush factor. The eggplant parm and sausage parm were excellent. The salads were a little small and the fried mushrooms are mostly breading and probably not worth it. The portions were great and the prices reasonable. We order again....

Been going to Villa Palermo for 30 years! (Growing up, my Parents always took me there when they had a formal dining restaurant on Devon & Campbell (I think that's the corner they were on). Anyway, here's my favorites: -Thin Crust & Pan Pizza (Try a Medium Thin Crust Italian Beef & Giardiniera...any size bigger will be too soggy from the beef) -Baked Chicken Alfredo (Best alfredo sauce) -HUGE order of Chicken Fingers with either Marinara Sauce, Honey Mustard or Ranch (Real Chicken Breast) BEST VALUE! -Palermo Beef Sandwich (OMG, I just become starving after I typed that) -HUGE Rib Tip dinners (Plenty of Tips to share) -Chicken Parmigiana Dinner...a Q.P. Pick (Quite Possibly, the best Chicken Parmigiana I ever ate!) -Awesome Meatball sandwich! (Add sweet pepper too) -Veal Parmigiana Dinner (Another QP Pick) -Brolied Chicken Dinner You get a lot of food from this place! Another BEST VALUE! -American Sub (Difficult to pick up this huge sandwich, but not if you slice it lengthwise, stack it, then cut it in half!) -Chicken Caesar Salad Their Caesar dressing is incredible with this salad!!!

I have lived here on the north side of Chicago for over thirty years and I have tried most if not all the Pizza places in and around the Rogers Park and Edgewater area. I have been a fan of Villa Palermo for most of my life. There thin crust pizza is always consistent and wonderful. If I am in the mood for a thin crust pizza I always order Palermo's. I would go to their Devon and Campbell location every other Sunday and get a Spinach & garlic, easy on the cheese thin crust and it was always sublime. Now I get it from their carry out place further East of there original location and still it's the same pizza I remember as a kid. There sauce is not acidic and the crust is not gummy. I even got my wife loving the Spinach & Garlic. I have never really had a problem ordering from Palermo's, as they always seem to get it right maybe once in a blue moon they screw a large order up but it's rare. I still love their pizza bread and the roasted chicken. Their sandwiches are not to bad either, and there pan pizza is good but not what they are known for. Most importantly when I ask for a request like Do Not Cut my Pizza they don't. As many pizza aficionados' know it's better to cut the pizza at home so the sauce does not destroy the consistency of the crust.

I might've been there the wrong time of the wrong night of the week or something, but the mushrooms on my sandwich were NOT tasty. They tasted like can, or canny water, or beefy smoke, or meaty hand. I don't know why, but maybe if you go here stay away from things that have mushrooms on them. I don't like to waste food but I ended up throwing out part of my sandwich because I couldn't think of a way to redeem it or reconstitute it later. Villa palermo's got a good prison-diner bar counter and the staff is nice, and you can see straight into the kitchen they've got nothing to hide. Just something was up with the mushrooms that day.

Good stuffed sausage pizza. Sauce was a bit too sweet for me, but it was really fresh, with tons of cheese and a well-made crust. I'm normally able to snarf down any pizza in two sittings, but this thing was a monster for as thin as it looked from the outside. It seriously took me three days to finish, and weighed several pounds. I also got two entrees, one of which was a perch dinner with spaghetti, and the other of which was a bbq chicken dinner with fries. The 4 pc chicken tasted fine, but was missing most of its parakeet-sized leg, which unfortunately happens to be my favorite part, (couldn't tell if there was a processing accident, or the poor little bird was just deformed) and the fries were limp, crinkle-cut blobs that reminded me of a grade school cafeteria lunch. 2 stars for the chicken dinner. Perch smelled a bit fishy, but tasted fine, and the spaghetti side was exactly as expected. 3 stars for the perch dinner. Oh yeah, and there were two soggy side salads, which came already dressed, smooshed into tiny styrofoam cups. Honestly, if I were just basing this review on the entrees, it would probably be 2.5 or 3 stars at most, but the pizza was better than average and the order taker was really nice and friendly, plus they came a long way to deliver it (with a free soda), and it arrived within the time frame stated, so I rounded up.

Me: Hey, I want a Cheese pizza, you guys in? Friend: Of course! Let's get Gino's East, I love the cheese there! Other Friend: No way man! Lou Malnati's is where its at. Have you had their sauce? Third Friend: Hey, calm down. Golden Crust it is. After all, they have a golden crust. Me Again: Listen, guys guys. A cheese pizza only has three ingredients. How 'bout we get 'em all right? VILLA PALERMO. SAVIOR of the CHICAGO THIN CRUST!!! That might be a bit contrived and dramatic. However, I see no other way to convey to you the unholy goodness that is Villa Palermo thin crust. It's perfect! I like my pizza a particular way. I like a thin, firm yet tender butter crust. I like a sauce with good consistency and tasty spices. And I like a cheese with a thin yet not particularly overwhelming layer of delicious oils on top. Also, if you're as picky as I am about pizza and like that ring of exposed baked pizza sauce around the edge where the cheese doesn't quite touch the edge of the crust, but the sauce does, you'll dig this pizza. It's so good, their delivery radius is a major consideration anytime I move. Note to the Cajuns: Villa Palermo pizza is best served with Louisiana Hot Sauce. Note to the Italians: The baked cheese ravioli is also good. Note to the Vegetarians: I think the marinara sauce they give you with mozzarella sticks has meat in it.

Expectation: Unspectacular but tasty red sauce Italian comfort food, delivered to my doorstep. Greater than: Ranalli's...maybe? Less than: Panino's, I Monelli, La Gondola, etc, etc Why: While I never expect this kind of Italian delivery joint to turn out amazing food, I do at least expect it to rise to the level of "edible". Villa Palermo does not meet that standard, at least when preparing anything other than pizza and calzones. It's taken some time, but I've finally found a delivery place that's as bad as Ranalli's. Villa Palermo makes Bucca di Beppo look like Spiaggia. To be sure, they supersize the portions. The Chicken Cacciatore platter I ordered was literally filled to the brim. With what, you ask? With a genuinely nauseating, greasy, vaguely tomato-ish sauce with blobs of uncooked vegetables and overcooked chicken actually FLOATING around inside. My wife's lasagna was mostly gummy cheese drown in a sauce infused with flavorless, gristly ground beef. If you want to try this establishment, get something specifically recommended by a previous reviewer, like pizza or calzones. If you hazard another selection, you've been warned.

My wife and I have been big fans of Villa Palermo for over 25 years. Her favorite is the Baked Mostaccioli with a Side of Sausage and I love the Breaded Boneless Catfish Dinner. Both are very hearty portions and always well prepared. We recently had a small issue with an order and Villa Palermo really stepped up to make it right in a big way, earning even greater loyalty from us both. Villa Palermo is a class act and we just wanted to sing their praise, because they are most deserving!

The place is small and dirty. The guys that work there take up the seats there so its almost impossible to dine in. They stare at you like freaking perverts while you eat. the pizza is good but damn the people need to go.

This is my spot for pizza. Or at least was because I moved, but i have driven to pick it up. Sausage, mushrooms, jalapenos that's my set up. If you want greasy pizza this is the spot. I recommend it for anyone living in the North-side. They would deliver to my spot on Albany park. Now I cant find a place that compares to this spot. Witting this makes me want to go pick up a pizza right now. This is the kind of pizza you want to have for fight night, game night, or just plane hungry. Simply the best.

Been eating out at Villa since the mid 2000s. My fav is the pasta, pizza, and garlic sticks. Never been my place to dine at because its kinda filthy, too small which means everytime the door opens and if its cold out you will feel a draft. On top of that the place attracts very shady characters at night. The pizza is good.... at times. VP has its days where they make really good pizza then days where it taste very bland and dry. The pasta use to be real good, but lately I haven't been impressed. However, its a much cheaper alternative to Pete's on Granville in which I feel is VERY overpriced for what they serve. VP pricing is good for what their menu serve and delivery is ultra fast. No question they have the best customer service in West Ridge, Rogers Park and Edgewater. It's not Calo or Giordanos.... But most def a few notches above J.B Alberto, Vinces Pizza, and Maria's. And wayyy faster delivery too.

Please people call 311 and report this place ASAP. I'm not lying this place is dirty. I ate in one day and notice how filthy the blinds were. UGH! Then the cooks look raggedly, dirty, and tacky. People need to be cautious and careful where they eat and this is one place that should be shut-down. BOOM CLOSED FOR GOOD!

All I can say is: WOW! I was very pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem of a place. We were looking for a someone to cater our engagement party at a decent price so we stumbled upon Villa Palermo. We visited there. The place is not much to look at and they did not have a public restroom (had to use the restroom at the Mexican restaurant down the street). At any rate we tried their food and found it to be good so we placed our order for the engagement party. Well, the big day arrived and I must say that we were very pleased with not just the quantity of the food but the quality as well. Our guests really enjoyed the food. The Italian beef and cheese ravioli were phenomenal! I tell ya, the restaurant isn't much to look at but the food is out of this world! I would definitely recommending using them as a caterer; excellent food and excellent service.

I remember when it was a nice place to sit down and eat, now it's just for carry out and delivery but the food is still good.Like someone else said, the ribs and chicken are good- liked the barbaque sauce. I liked the lasagna- good size portion. The beefs are ok. Pizza is good, for neighborhood pizza (not like Gino's East or Lou's though)The fried mushrooms are good there (juicy and lots of 'em, and they have "The best" fried cauliflower (which I am always on the look out for)- not a dry breading but tender and they give you a big basketful.

So I thought you guys were exaggerating about the size of the calzone here. Surely this thing would fit on MY dinner plate. So, uh, I went to go take it out of the delivery guy's hand and I dropped it. seriously. The thing is the size of a steering wheeland as heavy as a coffee table. DEE-LICCCC-IOOUSS. Comes with one topping, but I added a couple more. I was absolutely starving and still could only eat half. The best calzone I 've had in the city yet. I wish they gave pizza sauce instead of marinara sauce, but I'll know what to ask next time. They've been accommodating in the past when I've stopped for a slice. The pasta has been a weaker choice, so now I just stick with pizza and pizza-like products. Bonus points for the free pop. That always wins brownie points for me. Delivery was well within time frame given and everything was hot. I'm ready to order from them again.

Ordered pizza from here on New Years day. It was OK. A little one the greasy side. Delivery was quick though and it was fairly priced. I agree with some of the other reviews that the telephone manner of the girl who takes the orders leave a lot to be desired. Maybe they were busy? I felt like she couldn't get me off the phone quick enough.

    (2)
  • Dan T.

The girl who took my delivery order was very rude. When I said I wanted a cheese pizza, she jumped in with "What size, SIR!?" before I could get the whole word pizza out of my mouth. She then asked for my credit card #, slamming the phone down the second she got the expiration date. So, after shaking it off, I realize she never found out what kind of crust I wanted. I call back within 10 seconds and get her back on the line. "You can't have a pan, I charged you for a thin." "Well, can you change the order?" "No, it's already in the oven." "I called less than 5 minutes ago and you can't change it? I just called." "What the hell am I supposed to do with this pizza if I let you change it?" Despite the fact that I immediately come up with a perfect thing she can do with that pizza, I bite my tongue. She promises pizza within the hour. Trying to keep from exploding, I calmly end the call. I mean, if ever there is a pet peeve I have with customer service it's those moments where I'm totally calm and looking for a chill, uneventful transaction, and I get some malcontent slinging barbs at me. And we're still looking for a pizza place to become our go-to at our new-ish condo. So we call up, giddy that we're ordering in on a night we didn't expect to, hoping to make ourselves eager return customers for this place, and the mood is just killed. This better be damn good thin crust, I think aloud. I don't like thin, and here I am being bullied into taking it. Cut to 90 minutes later. I wonder how long this pizza was in the oven, assuming of course that the girl was lying now and she made up the "already in the oven" excuse so she wouldn't have to void a credit card purchase. The pizza arrives, and the driver tells me the last two deliveries he tried to make, there was nobody home. Maybe you were delivering them something they didn't order too, my wife and I tell the guy. We still tip him decently, and sit down. It's pretty boring thin crust. You could get this anywhere. If we were to rate this place on yummy-per-dollar, we're talking an easy 4+ stars. But the service left a bilous taste in my mouth. And maybe we caught the staff on a particularly rough night. But I was still disgusted with my experience, and found myself wishing doom on the whole business. Perhaps I'll try to order a pan crust sometime, but if that same girl picks up the phone, I'll probably just hang up. Not one of my dollars belongs in her pocket.

An outstanding pizzeria where one can expect to get the great pizza that Chicago has long been famous for. Excellent pizza with lots of mozzarella cheese and a wonderful variety of classic and not so classic toppings! Villa Palermo has great ribs and chicken too! A very eclectic mix of delivery personnel from all over the world! Daily specials! A great, authentic Chicago find!

Villa Palermo was so great when it had a restaurant. Now it's pretty much carry-out and delivery. Their pizzas always have super-fresh vegetables, it's very reasonable, and if there is a big eater in your group, dare her or him to eat an entire PALERMO BEEF in one sitting (Italian beef sandwich smothered in melted mozzerella and mushrooms.) After we moved closer to Lawrence, we started ordering from Pete's. But my mom still orders from there all the time. I wonder what happened though, there was always this velvet-voiced woman who would answer the phone "VillaPalermopickupordeeLIVereeeeeeee" and she's gone now.

Good food, delivered earlier than estimated time. The servings are ENORMOUS! Chicken alfredo was enough for 3 people. Chicken parm. sandwich was enormous, about 3 full chicken breasts. Fries were soggy from delivery as expected,

I used to love VP when it was further west on Devon. It was our fave for munchies back in the day. Great pizza, thick or thin, depending on your mood. Food was always very good as well. I no longer live nearby, but have very fond,if not fuzzy memories of Villa Palermo!

I can't believe that this wasn't the first place I reviewed. I've been eating at VP for years. Their prices are very reasonable, their deliveries are prompt, and the food is very good. At this point I think I've had everything on their menu and I haven't been disappointed. Their stuffed pizzas and their Palermo Beefs are highly recommended.

West past Ridge on Devon, this place would be probably the only choice for a slice. I have to say despite very humid and grungy decor the slice is good. They sell warm liter Pepsi bottles, cheese, sausage and peperoni slices [which is just the tip of their deep dinner and catering menu]. The pizza has a bulky and healthy thin crust; doughy and chewy because of the extra cheese; the sausage slice is tasty. I had to wait because they make don't keep the slices ready to dish out which was fine but the restaurant was as humid and warm as the many men in the kitchen. Bilingual: which is a plus, and a thrift store, Indian restaurants, and a healer hospital are in the neighborhood. Good place for a cheap slice for lunch. There was one guy in the kitchen with a very hairy chest. 3 buttons unbuttoned on his shirt revealed the gray and black hair he scratched on his sternum. Villa Palermo seemed to be a popular lunch spot, attracting many types of people to eat their varied menu, but I had the slice and although I remember the hairy man in the kitchen, the heat, and the grungy walk up and seating area: the slice was three stars. I bet delivery is great.

As with any place you order from on a regular basis you are going to catch them on their off day's. so to the people who didn't have a positive experience here I'm sorry and I hope you give it another try. But on the reviewing note... the pizza here is fantastic. The ingredients are fresh and they cook the pizza till its nice and crisp. Their calzones are also a favorite of mine. They deliver pop standard with their pizza's and they will still let you use the coupons on the back of the menu for some dollar amount off, which usually comes to about the cost of the delivery, so tip the delivery guy well. Oh and the monday night rib tip special is the shizzzznit. I will order from this place FOREVER!!!!!

I love Villa Palermo! Tony and his sister had introduced me to this place in 2004 and I've been hooked ever since. The only setback is that we are out of their proximity for home delivery. =( Their prices are always reasonable. They are always happy to help suggest things to order if you're new there. Last weekend we had ordered: Large cheese thin slice pizza, Family size villa palermo special thin slice pizza (very generous with their toppings), rib tips, and fried mushroom (do not hesitate to use their $3 off coupon on their take out menu). All of this came out to be a little over $40. Brought it all home 25 mins later and the pizza was still hot and oozing with cheese. Everyone in my family was so pleased with the food. It's always busy at this place. Don't come and expect the place to look great. Their food and service is awesome, that's all that matters.

  • Gabrielle N.

Great Pizza! Their thin crust pizza actually has flavor. And their ingredients are super fresh. It is not expensive and their portions are very reasonable. I also love their fried calamari. Try their rib tips as well; we often get them when we have people over and they've been a hit. Two thumbs up!

  • Melanie K.

My husband and I have been ordering from Villa Palermo for about 10 years. We usually have pizza delivered once a month. Their pizza and most all of the items on the menu are pretty good. What keeps us coming back is that this is one of the few places that gives you a ton of food for a small sum of money. The prices are super reasonable, the food is good, what more can you ask for. In fact, one of my friends moved from Chicago to Michigan, and when I visit her and her husband in Michigan, I have to bring them a double cheese thin crust from here every time. So for good food, hearty portions, and easy on the wallet, this is the place to order from. Also, the delivery is usually very quick.

The pizza and Italian dishes are good. They used to be located a mile or so west and had a nicer looking location, but many loyal customers followed them up to this spot for the"za".

    (4)
  • Todd L.

The restaurant itself is not much. Definitely more of a delivery/pickup joint than dine-in. But THE FOOD!!! Gotta have the Palermo Beef sandwich: it's a riff on an Italian Beef, but with the au jus on the side, and it's topped with mushrooms and melted mozzarella cheese. If you get it on garlic bread (for a small up charge), it takes an already amazing sandwich into the stratosphere. And that uniquely Chicago dish: chicken vesuvio --- the best in the city. Period. Seriously amazing. Also, the thin-crust pizza is great. So are all the pastas. OH! The meatball sandwich!!! The hell with it... try everything there. It's ALL good.

This has forever been a go to for pizza and sides for many years for my friends and family... Unfortunately their service has turned for the worse. I don't think these owners understand how important it is to have quality customer service... I would normally give them 4 stars but the last 3 times I ordered from them my order was wrong... And not just a little wrong but majorly wrong... Pizza and sides!! We called back to let them know and were given attitude and the manager was on the defense as opposed to apologizing and trying to help the customer. My favorite place has just gone to $h*t!! I guess it's time to send my business somewhere else... Oh yea and they gave us $5 off our next order and then sent my some burnt food that I originally ordered. It's a damn shame that I have to do this... I hope that they get it together as it would be a shame for this place to go out of business.

I really love this place, the pizza is consistently good. My family has ordered from this place for years. I recently moved to a somewhat questionable neighborhood that they "won't" deliver to. However, they delivered to us because I pleaded that my family has ordered from them for years and they agreed. I tried to order again from them today and some woman picked up the phone with very poor customer service. She flat out said no and was very rude. I also told her that they've delivered to us before but she said her boss said no and hung up. I love the pizza but I don't ever want to deal with this person again.

My first visit here! Now, I will admit, that I passed over Cheep Chicken Monday yesterday at my place of employment to visit Villa Palermo, which I was hoping would be a nice, little gem of a place that I had discovered in Rogers Park yet once again. And, I must admit, as I was walking down the block I had high hopes because the smells/aromas were wafting down the street and smelled really good, and I went in to Villa Palermo thinking Happy Thoughts of a really good dinner after a long day at work where I was burnt out.. So, I picked up dinner stuff and took it home and was really looking forward to sitting down and having my dinner, however I was highly disappointed with what I found. Now, I ordered a Veal Cutlet Dinner because okay, I love Veal Cutlets like once a year and many restaurants do not carry this menu item. And, I went to Villa Palermo mainly because I checked out the menu on line and saw that they had this dinner! Boy, was I sad when I saw that my special Veal Cutlet Dinner was way over cooked, and looked almost black in color. Now, I will admit that I was given a big cup of red/meat sauce for this dinner, my guess is it was to cover up this Veal Dinner from Hell And, okay, yes, I also ordered 1 piece of Sausage Pan Pizza just because and that Sucker was burnt too! Other facts about this place, It's most definitely a take out/carry out Operation, however, they do have 2 tables inside for your dining pleasure/displeasure And, yes, there were a bunch of guys standing right outside who when I started taking Pics gave me looks like they were part of the Godfather's Posse, Okay, Camera off! Seriously. I very rarely give Negative Reviews, but everything I ordered was beyond extra crispy, it was just Nasty for the most part! However, Props to the Nicest Girl/Woman Person who took my order and brought me my burnt food, I liked her! Liked her, hated the food! So, Villa Palermo unfortunately my first visit will probably be my last and I so hate to see that happen. I almost wish I would have opted for Cheep Chicken Monday! And, to me, thats a shame!

Called on Saturday for a relatively small catering order, pasta, chicken, salad and meat balls. I needed it for a get together Sunday afternoon. Realizing it wasn't enough time I was preparing a plan-b. Plus, they had no one around on Sunday for a catering order. They made my food, picked it up by 3, Sunday, my guests loved it and my little get together was a hit. The garden salad was great. The chicken and baked penne was flavorful and the meatballs were a hit. We usually get pizza from VP and decided to try their catered dishes. I highly recommend you give it a try. Delivery or carryout. Yum. Yum.

This review is very bias since I grew up in this neighborhood. I always remember paying $3.00 as a kid and the slices were huge. Coming back as an adult has not changed things. The price has not changed and the slices are just as good as I remember. Again maybe it's because of old memories, but it never gets old biting into a slice. The cheese is still gooey and greasy and the sausage is still flavorful. I will always be back!

A late night go-to staple. When we have the munchies but spent all our dough, this is where we go to. The ribs are almost always on point. The beef is to be devoured, although not the best but they deliver it right up near my door almost until midnight, so that's awesome . There are a few items that are always hits even though it seems that different prep cooks prep in different ways. Don't expect consistency but you can expect a bang for your buck. I finally ordered pizza. It was top heavy, but fine by me. Villa always uses fresh ingredients - that's why i give them a higher rating even though they might not be consistent - and they are customer friendly and aim to please. Order a Chef's salad, a rib or chicken dinner and you'll be eating decent leftovers for lunch.

We have used Villa Palermo for catering at-home parties a couple times. The service has been consistently good; the orders delivered accurately and on time. The food is good and the menu is varied. Most recently, we ordered the lemon chicken. In the past, we have had chicken Marsala and chicken with artichokes. All have been good. The pasta in marrinara is a little mushy but still tasty. The caesar salad has lots of dressing, croutons, and cheese but no anchovies. For delivery, they included a ton of rolls, butter, serving pieces and even some unordered Pepsi products. The serving sizes are ample and good bargain for the price.

First let's go over my order. A cheeseburger with raw onions, grilled onions, lettuce and tomato. Onion rings and a brownie. I will go over the food first. The ONLY good. The onion rings. Bit soggy but were still decent. Not great but decent. Edible to say the least. NOWWWWWWWW let's move in to this atrocious thing they call a cheeseburger. First off I had no raw onions. The bread was soggy from them putting the TOMATO on the bottom of the bread with the wet lettuce and a wet nasty ass pickle. The grilled onions were old. I could taste it. It was slimy and yuck. *shivers*. The burger was awful! It was cold and it tasted as if they cooked it and had it sitting around. Not to mention it took a very short amount of time to delivery which makes me think my stuff was not cooked fresh. When it bit into that burger it was like biting into cooked rubber. The burger was bland and the cheese you could also see was old. It was just frigging awful. The whole burger was awful and should be arrested. Now the brownie. I'm allergic to peanuts and I feel that you should have a little note under brownie like they do for other dishes that says "has walnuts". So I spent two dollars on a brownie which I was told was awful. I mean it had a star by burger, which means its a darn favorite. NOT! AWFUL JUST AWFUL. It took less than 30mins to get my food to me and the place is like 15mins away from my house. Do the math dudes. No. That was not fresh. I ordered from this place before and had the same problem and another so I decided to give it a try again. No longer will I order from here. Very sad. I didn't eat the burger. Couldn't eat the brownie and was stuck with sub onion rings. That's the only reason they got one star.

I love the pizza here!!! This has been a spot for me and my friends for many, many years I can't believe I forgot to write them a review until now. The interior of the place is terrible, as many years as I've been coming here I've never even thought of dining inside. The service has been good almost everytime I've been here. I love the mushroom and sausage pizza, it's one of the best I've ever had especially late night! My friends have had the Italian beef and loved it, I've never tried it cause I always have to have their pizza, it's an addiction! Their fried mushrooms were also very good and I'm picky with my fried mushrooms. This place delivers just be prepared to wait a while til you get it. But this place has been a long time favorite of mine and always will!

If you're looking for ginormous portions, look no further. On Mondays, you can get 1/2 rib tip platter for $6.05 or full for $9.35. About a dollar off the regular menu. Sometimes I wonder if these rib tips came out of a woolly mammoth. As far as quality, yes, I have had better pizza and rib tips. But, these portions allow me to take a break from hunting and gathering for at least another 2 days. Carry out is so simple, even a caveman can do it. Also, Villa Palermo is very animal friendly. How do I know? Because 3 days before the Yelp Halloween bash, I entered the establishment in my skunk outfit, and they did not refuse to serve me.

Have been a Loyal customer since 2001! best food and best service! The pan pizza is AMAZING and not to mention the cheapest in town! and I have had all of the traditional pizza places in Chicago (lou's, Ginos, Gios,) and this place surpasses all of them! truly a gem on a really crappy street

Had a craving for ribs and fried chicken so I ordered a combo meal from Villa through Grub Hub. Decided to also get a small cheese pizza to get the most mileage out of the delivery charge. The food arrived a little before schedule - but most of it was barely warm. In fact, I should have reheated it but I was too hungry. I first dug into the small portion of coleslaw - and it was very good. The fried chicken was good, too -- but seemed a little old. Still, it was edible. The ribs were quite tasty -- great sauce, well cooked and tender. The small cheese pizza was almost cold and could have used more cheese. As a side, they offer spaghetti, so I decided to get that instead of fries or a baked potato with the ribs. I'm saving that for later. Took a taste - and it was good - though I would have liked a bit more sauce. Ordered an additional side of meatballs to both put in with the spaghetti and make a meatball sandwich with the nice, soft bread that came along with the meal. Got a free litre of RC (they say Pepsi but actually deliver RC - makes no difference to me, but it might for some). I do wish they would let you get diet if you want - but there is no choice. Thus, you get the sugar. I often mix it with some soda water or a diet soda to avoid so much sugar. All in all, a lot of decent food for the money - I will get numerous meals out of this. In fact, the chicken and pizza will wind up in the freezer! They did not deliver any napkins - which was annoying since I did need them. The utensils are made for tiny people . . . just wish the food was actually hot. I'm not that far away from the place so it is realistic that it could have been delivered hot. Other than that - no complaints!

This great neighborhood Italian restaurant/pizza place has been a decades-long favorite, but tonight I found 2 new items that go to the top of my list: 1) The Lemon Chicken is a fantastically flavorful dish with a HUGE portion that is unique among traditional Italian joints; 2) Instead of getting Spaghetti then adding a Side of Meatballs like every other place, they offer a Meatball Dinner that you can add Spaghetti, Mostaccioli or another side and the ratio is much better at a great price. In addition there's a 5% discount for online ordering at VillaPalermoPizzeria.com . Eccezionale!

Definitely my go to spot when I am in the mood for good pizza fast. I am also a real fan of their fettuccine Alfredo with some garlic bread. Ive done delivery, pick up, and ate in and what makes every experience worth it is the food nothing else. so moral of the story is great pizza and Alfredo but there is no need to say anything about the service, neither good nor bad on that aspect of the business.

What an awful, AWFUL excuse for a restaurant. The reviews of "great food" and "ordering for 20 years" surprise me, though I guess anything is gourmet if you have no taste. I ordered a very simple order through GrubHub. The low prices were very tempting and the $1 coupon sealed the deal. Sadly, with Villa Palermo, you get what you pay for. Fried ravioli, Spaghetti with a side of meatballs, and an order of French fries. The order was placed around 12:40AM. It wasn't until 20 minutes after I contacted GrubHub did my food arrive...at 2:30AM! Not only did the delivery guy not read the instructions on my order (I told him which apartment to buzz as I am new to the building and not in the directory yet), but when he arrived, he delivered the food and asked, "did you pay yet?". Seriously? The food arrived in a mess, marinara sauce all over the containers. The serving sizes were decent. The fries were already cold, beside the fact that they tasted like cardboard, and the spaghetti was AWFUL. The meatballs had a weird aftertaste and texture, and the red sauce was pathetic. I've had better canned spaghetti! The ravioli was underwhelming and definitely bland. The only good that came out of this was the awesome customer service from GrubHub. Not only did they give me a full refund of the meal, they issued a credit for the same amount ($17) and also gave me a $5 coupon.

I tried this pizza on the insistence of a good friend and I'm glad for it. So far I've just had the cheese pizza on thin crust but I love it. It's my go-to cheesy, late night food crush. I'll definitely expand my horizons and try their other menu items and toppings. I do have to point out the couple times I've chosen to have it delivered, it seems rather slow and the pizza has been pretty lukewarm- so maybe stick with carryout. Still great, that's my only beef.

I don't want to knock this place too much. I used to order here late-night, or stopped by for their pizza special that keeps going up in price, but not too much. I stopped by the other week and partly out of nostalgia but mostly out of hunger I parked nearby and walked in. There was a rowdy bunch of people in the small dining room that I think might be delivery drivers but they could have been something else-since there were no less than 3 police cars out there. I put my order in for two slices of sausage and sat there to wait for my slices to finish baking and the guy behind the counter and I struck up a conversation with me. He was friendly and it helped pass the time while my two giant slices came out of their oven. I didn't want to wait to eat so I pulled open one of the boxes and the cheese basically slid off while I bit into it. The pizza was okay, but the ordeal it became to eat it, pick up the cheese and drive on Devon late at night was stressful.

You know, they could make life so much easier if they were open Christmas Day. Two years in a row we order from another restaurant and for two years straight the food SUCKED. If Villa were open it would have been an easy large pizza, rib tip dinner and chicken tenders. But they ARE NOT open Christmas Day. I have never had anything bad from them and we've been ordering from them for 20 years. Love you. Love your pizza. Rib tips are the husband's fave. And p.s. the tenders are Real chicken, not a patty.

My cousin Feeg found the yelp reviews for this place and reading them brought back waves of nostalgia. In our formative pre-teen years my cousins and I would beg and plead for a a few dollars to go get "hot cheetohs" or something from a nearby dollar store. But in reality, our bad*sspreteen selves walked several blocks further then we were allowed too; just to sneak over to Villa Palermo. With $3 or $4 odd dollars we ate like the undisputed kings of Devon St we knew ourselves to be. The slices were huge, and the cheese was melted enough to be stringy, but not soo much that it all fell off at once (looking at you Pizza Hut). Just the right amount of oily shine and more Parmesan cheese and crushed red peppers (on the side) then my cousin Adee could ever eat. The larger pizza's have quality toppings and are the same experience of the slices. They always made you a fresh giant slice rather then heating one up, which was great. Palermo's has insane customer loyalty, and its been around for a very long time (probably since the late Paleolithic Period) for good reason. It's no 4 Seasons hotel, but its some of the best pizza and food you can get, all at 'old school' prices. My family and I have since domesticated and moved to the suburbs, but we come back whenever we can. Over time the food has remained excellent, and equally as importantly, we still feel like bad*ss teenagers when we return. This place is a gem and its DT approved.

First let me tell you my history with Villa Palermo. I've been a loyal customer for over 10 YEARS. I eat there almost every other week and I've never had any problems, not with the delivery ,not with the employees or the food. In fact, I get along very well with everyone...until today. For some reason one of the Managers, or Owner,s decided to make a snide remark about me as I walked into their establishment, this after so many years of perfect service. Why? Who knows why, but if you're going to run a business you'd think you'd have enough common sense to understand that your loyal customers are what keeps you in business, and attacking them with derogatory remarks does not help you at all. As you can see, I've lowered my ratings from 5 to 1 and I'd go to 0 if I could. If you're a Manager from there and you read this, or if you're one of the Owners perhaps you'd like to explain why you just ran out a guy who spends about $50 a month at your place and tips, on average, about 40%(and you can ask your delivery men if that's correct). I'll be taking my business to your competition, you know, the ones on both sides of your establishment for now on. I'm sure they'll be thanking your idiocy all the way to the bank. Sincerely, a loyal follower who you just stabbed in the back.

Beaut pizza in town. While growing up in Rogers park, I mainly had Alberto's pizza but villa Palermo was truely the king if pizza. If you are looking for a well prepared pizza at a very affordable price, villa is your spot. You must try their pan pizza at least once but don't stop there. Their thin slice is how I mainly go and is great because you only pay around 3-5 dollars for a decent size slice of pizza and a drink.

I ordered food from this restaurant, nothing fancy. I Ordered a burger (medium well) and fries and some cheese sticks for my friend. Well, my fries were cold, my burger was well done border line burnt and the cheese sticks were salty. My friend and I were starving so we just ate it and it took them 53 minutes to deliver the food.

although, this place is not as good as it used to be, it is still good, i like their pizza a lot, mostly European people like their pizza, they used have some of the best Italian Beef sandwiches, but i think quality of their beef went way down. Really good and fast delivery!

The Chicken Parmesan sandwich on garlic bread with crispy crinkle cut fries alone makes this a five star dump, there I said it! Out of curiosity I checked out the 38 reviews and there wasn't one mention of the Chicken Parmesan sandwich, a travesty in my opinion. Simply put, GO HERE FOR THE CHICKEN PARMESAN SANDWICH ON GARLIC BREAD. Just do it!

Villa Palermo has the best Italian Beef. Their au jus has a little kick to it and if you get a Palermo Beef on garlic bread, it is almost sinful. They have other great stuff, plus always a daily specials which are great for saving money. Delivery is prompt and courteous.

So, I am ONLY giving this place 1 star, and if I could it would be 0 stars!!!! I have been religiously ordering pizza's from this place almost 3 times a month, so I should be considered a pretty loyal customer. I noticed there was a Groupon for a 14" pizza with 1 topping for $8...what a steal right!!!??? Well, I do not have a car, and can only have pizza's delivered. I made sure to read ALL FINE PRINT, before I bought it, because I can only have it delivered, and wanted to make sure that it wasnt "dine in only" or "Carryout only," because I didnt want to waste my money. So after reading all fine print, I said Awesome...I will take it!!!! I go to call, and a young guy answers. I tell him I would like to use my groupon for delivery. He laughs and says..you cant do that only for pickup. So I go through my lecture about how I read ALL the fine print, and NOWHERE on he groupon or in the fine print, does it say Pick Up only....I went on to say that this is false advertising, and I am very upset since I have been a loyal customer that you will not honor this. The young kid dismisses anything I had to say, and says hold-on. A few seconds later, an older man gets on the phone, and this is when I get pissed! I had to explain the whole thing all over again, he even tells me that he knows it is not right, and they have been telling Groupon to fix it!!!!!!!?????? I say, well, they didnt and this is false advertising......you by law, have to honor this. He absolutely refused, told me I had to talk to the owner. So, as I am going to say ok, well, I still need to order food....he just hung up on me!!!!!!!!!!!! What???!!!! Is this a joke????!!!!!!! He literally hung up on me....this man that should be managing the business, and should be skilled in customer service, hung up on a customer...UNACCEPTABLE!!!! I will NEVER order from this place again...I am sure that the new pizza place will be thrilled to get my 100-130/month, because OBVIOUSLY Villa Palermo could care less about loyalty or how to treat their regular customers that have been ordering from there 20+ years.

Well, now I recommend this place as a good piazza place because now they really have a good customer service that make me feel like they appreciate doing busyness with people, the guy that pick up the phone when I call them for place and order is really kind and the pizza is good, I so glad that they changed the old lady receptionist, because she always was like in a dogs mood, and I was always afraid of call because she will yelled at me and answer really "RUDE" but now is great and lovely service, thanks guys from villa Palermo for change they lady, and good job hiring this new guy!

From birth, I been eating Villa Palermo. I've known their number by heart since I was 10 years old, that's how often we ordered there. Amazing food. Chicken fingers are not expensive and so good. Small cheese pizza? Great pizza. Baked Mostacholi? $5.50 and comes with bread and is good as hell. Just order there. It's good. You won't regret it. They give you coupons with every delivery you can rack up and once you get to twenty you get a free extra large pizza. Words can't express the love I have for Villa Palermos food.

The food is super affordable and delicious to boot. My fianceè and I have been frequenting this establishment for about a year, and we have become nearly dependent on Villa Palermo to feed us when we're too lazy to cook. Our favorite menu item would the spicy wings: They're savory, about the average size of other establishments and are pretty affordable at a cost of 4 dollars and some odd cents for half a dozen. We love the wings so much that the presence of a single wing is valid enough to enact battle rules between us. While to food is affordable and plentiful, it does seem as if Villa Palermo often takes a while to get the food out. A group order (Veggi Lasagna, Chicken dinner special and a tub of calamari) from Loyola University took nearly over an hour to arrive. However, there are times when you receive a pleasant surprise along with your food that make the experience much more worthwhile: A complementary pop or a few dollars off the tab. All in all, Villa Palermo is a delightful place and will continue to be our go to for take out American-Italian. There aren't a lot of places in Chicago that can subside my hearty appetite, but Villa Palermo does an excellent job at fulling me up with delicious food.

I live on the same block as Villa so eating or rather ordering from there is very convenient (I've never had a sit in meal there). I till date have never been disappointed by there pizza, specially the thin crust. The cheese is gooey, and crust just the right amount of crispy some of the best pizza around! Though I have had many misses with the other items on their menu. Aside from the pizza I quite like their ravioli, not the best but good. Though some how the garlic bread they serve I'd always strange, borderline disgusting. Not in appearance but taste. But at least it's a side and your not paying for it. Anyhow, can not go wrong with their pizza. Another great thing is the coupons they have anything over $10 you get a $1 off, $15 then a $1.5 off, and so on! Great place for no hassle pizza, and they are open till late!
