Best deal on twarog in town! So far, anyway... This little place is similar to the many other Eastern European joints in this neck of the woods. It has a proper mix of a little everything, including prepared foods cold and hot. It's definitely a bit more Ukrainian than the others around the area. Less Polski. More Ukrainska. The staff was kind and the place was rather well organized. Only thing lacking is a booze selection. My babcia might not be thrilled that I would give my money to Ukrainians, but a good deal is a good deal, and she ought to respect that. Either way, I'm always glad to know that there is yet another place that I can drop in and find a way to further inject my body full of hearty fats while knowing that my bloodline is perfectly capable of surviving off a diet of starch and bacon lard.

I'm gonna give them five stars for their awesome potato pastry. However, I took off three for poor customer service. I bought some ayran (yogurt drink) in a bottle and right as I'm about to open it I heard air come out of the bottle- usually a sign that it's gone bad. It tasted very spoiled and carbonated, how yogurt gets when it goes bad. I came back trying to return it and the owners tried to convince me that that's how it supposed to taste and that they just got a new shipment. Threw it in the trash as soon as I got out. Uncool dude.

MMM Picked up more goodies on the urban hike for our Ukrainian breakfast. Sprats, pickled shrooms, blood sausage cake and dessert wine, yes for breakfast. Ha I love the Ukraine. The server was super nice and helpful with the wine selections and seemed pleased I took the last blood sausage which by the way was delish. A trip to the Ukraine without the airfare.

A fantastic selection of items which, to an American, seem really quite bizarre and wonderful. And please don't go into a place called "Ukraina" and complain about the service; it goes with the territory.

I recently visited family in Ukraine, and I can't stop smiling knowing that there is a little tiny piece of it here where I live. I let my husband do all the talking- even though I know the ladies that work there are bilingual, it's more fun to pretend I'm back there, hearing nothing in english. Anyway, I like their selection, and everything I've bought there I've thoroughly enjoyed. This is a good place to go and just pretend for a second you are on the other side of the world.

C'mon! How do you NOT like a truly genuine Ukrainian Deli?? This is such a great addition to our neighborhood. They've got good sausages, cheeses, salamis, dry goods and fruit juices. AND... now, even a fine selection of funky foreign beers. The have home cooked deli items that are super good...their customer service is excellent. Although I am not from The Ukrain, it feels like home going in there. When you go, you have to try the Chocolate ice cream sandwich, Ukie style!!

i wish there were 0 stars, because that's what i would give ukraina deli. they have great food, but terrible, terrible customer service. today was not the first time i went in there and was treated poorly, but it will be the last. i went in and back to the counter to order some food to take with me, and the counter attendant immediately asked me what i wanted and i asked if i could please have a moment to decide. 2 more people came back to the counter and the clerk returned, ignoring me, and asked the man next to me what he wanted. the man told her i was there first and to help me and she acted annoyed. i told the man thank you and the clerk no thanks, i was no longer interested. then i left. i'm sorry you don't want my business ukraina deli, but now you won't get mine or any of my friends, i'm more than happy to patronize rich's on the same block as you, where they are not rude to me. i'll also make sure my other friends in the neighborhood don't give you their business either. thanks for the memories
