I really like this Subway. It might actually be my favorite Subway I've ever been to. The staff here are really nice (I mean, REALLY nice, one lady came in and realized she forgot her wallet and stayed to chat anyway--the staff were really nice to her and still provided service to the others in line). If I come here, it's usually right after I get off the train from work and I am already too hungry to wait to get home to eat. It happens, and it's a rather terrifying, desperate experience when it does. However, I am usually the only customer walking into a Subway at dinner time and the staff are happy to help me and fill my order. And then my boyfriend's, too, who gets EVERY THING THEY HAVE on a sandwich. If I were a sandwich maker I would be thinking REALLY?? but they are quite nice about it here. So far, it's always been clean and nothing has been "weird" with my order or any of the ingredients on it. It's a Subway, but it's a good Subway and I will be back the next time I delude myself into thinking having a light lunch is a good idea.

Wow. I am so impressed by this Subway. It's clean, comfortable and in a great location. The staff I've dealt with have been incredibly friendly and patient. The ingredients actually look better than those I've seen at other subways. My sandwich was seriously toasted to perfection last night. I can't get over it. After many terrible experiences at the Belmont/Clark location this places may just renew my faith in the chain.

Easily the stingiest Subway there is. I come here out of desperation sometimes on my way to iO. My veggie sandwich always consists of about 80% lettuce, 10% tomatoes, then 10% everything else I order. Every single time I order spinach, and every time she gives me exactly three leaves of spinach. If I ask for more she gives me one more leaf. I get about 4 pieces of black olive. Only two small pieces of cheese, but then she drowns it in honey mustard when I ask for "Just a little bit". Come on, guys. I'm not paying for a lettuce sandwich. Maybe next time I will try to use reversed psychology and see if that helps.

Best Subway in the City of Chicago. It's conveniently located directly under the El & there's never anyone here. I had to pick up dry cleaning, but I was really thirsty so I came over to get a bottle of water. It's too cold out so I thought I'd sit in here and drink and type. It was funny, because when I walked in the young lady put on her gloves and said "6 inch tuna on wheat with all the veggies right!?!" Uh, no. I told her I had already eaten, and just wanted a bottle of water, and that I was in a huge hurry. I walked in and completed the transaction in 38 seconds. They've got a young energetic crew who seems to know me better than I know them. How's that for an ego boost to close out the week? Special Note: Don't be surprised to see this one go out of business. This location, despite being across the street from Wrigley Field, is a graveyard for Food establishments. Over the past 5 years I've seen just as many places come and go. Enjoy this location now while it lasts. I'm setting the over/under at December 1, 2010. At least this is the healthiest option I've seen here to date. That Jared sure is one hell of a salesmen.

This Subway SUUCCKKSS. I rarely review chain restaurants but I'm sorry this Subway deserves 0 stars. First off, when we walked in 45 minutes before close the only guy working was in his Blue tooth talking to whoever not acknowledging us. Sorry dude, this is still a service industry where you need to be slightly accommodating. They didn't have normal Italian bread so whatever no big deal. We ordered a sandwich that 9/10 times gets toasted but he told us the toaster was off . We asked "Can you turn it back on " which he replied "No, it's close to closing"... Well if I'm not mistaken it is only 12:20 am which means you don't close for another 40 minutes. He just shrugged his shoulders and said something to someone still on his Bluetooth. We straight up walked out in the middle of making our sandwich. I'm sure someone a little bit more humbling who would appreciate that job more than some asshole whos family probably runs the place.

These guys are rude and don't clean their hands. This is a bacteria trap, do not eat there!!

The only time I ever see this outpost crowded is on game days, but there's always one or two people grabbing sandwiches to go. A very convenient location with a speedy crew, it's hard to beat picking up sandwiches just after getting off the El and being able to eat as soon as I get home. I also prefer this location infinitely over the 24-hour Belmont location. Sometimes you need to give props for non-surly employees and sandwiches that taste like you would expect.
