This location is the closest to my job at the Sears (Willis) Tower. I went to this location for the first time today since my lunch from home took a plunge on the floor. There's NO WAY I'd consider a five second rule at my job. I figured with my lunch taking a tumble at 11:45am there would be a pretty handsome line snaking it's way down Adams St. so I opted to wait until about 1:00pm. When I arrived I had hardly made it in the door before I was welcomed to their establishment. Wow, wow, wow, first impressions are a very big deal to me so major score on their part. Next bonus: I chose a great time as there was no line and I was helped right away. The brigade was amazing. They were in sync, efficient and very friendly. I had ordered my bread wrong right off and corrected myself as he was preparing the bread I screwed up. His response, with a SMILE: "not a problem!" he grabbed the new bread and away we went. Yes, this is the way it is supposed to be but in today's lack-luster customer service world this made my day; no attitude, no huffing and puffing, just good service. I moved expeditiously down the line as my amazing 6" veggie on 9-grain wheat was getting all the good stuff. The ingredients were fresh, the bread had that fresh-baked softness and they were generous with everything between the buns. No issues, no communication break downs or anything of the sort. I was paying, out the door and back at my desk in no time flat. What sets this Subway apart from the rest is the quality and freshness of the ingredients (I'm turned off by any brown lettuce, tomatoes with stems attached and general carelessness). Additionally, the cleanliness of the store: excellent, the speed of service: amazing and most importantly the customer service: above and beyond. I recommend this Subway to everyone including my friends and family.

This is your typical Subway. I went for lunch on a Sunday, there was no line. There was nothing special or especially bad about this Subway. Got exactly what I expected.

What is wrong with the people who work here? Are they hard of hearing? Or are they just missing a few chromosomes? I have yet to place an order that did not involve me wildly gesticulating and screaming at the "sandwich artist" preparing my meal telling them I did not want cheese or mayo. Every.single.time. My breakfasts have been a disaster. "What kind of cheese?" "No cheese." "OK. American." "What? I said NO CHEESE!" "Swiss" "NO CHEESE!!! None! Just leave it off!" "OK" "Pepper and onion?" "No thank you." "OK. How much?" "NO. PEPPER. OR. ONION!" It's 8am. I do not need that kind of interchange every single time I want a simple breakfast sandwich. Seriously. Listen! Just because you want there to be cheese on there doesn't mean I want cheese to be on there. And its not just breakfast, these people f*ck up my lunches too. If I actually want Subway, I walk 3 blocks out of my way to a different one. I haven't been back here in weeks. Just awful.

This is the Subway nearest me.. I like the people there. They work hard and I usually get exactly what I come for. Sometimes when people are still learning the rhythm of the sandwich making there is confusion but more often than not, I have no issues. It is hard for communication (at most Subways) due solely to the glass barrier between customer and Subway employee. It's exactly at mouth level for most people. This makes it harder for the workers to understand the customer (just an observation). **This has nothing to do with the workers being unintelligent and whoever writes otherwise is a damn fool. Like most lunch/bfast places in the loop, it gets busy at peak times. If someone is new, give them a break. You have a daunting line in front of you and 10 people all giving orders so I would imagine it's kind of hard to hear. And getting overwhelmed is a daily occurrence. My advice, make strong eye contact with whomever is making your sandwich as well as making your voice heard. Keep up the good work and the delish COOKIES! Best deal ever for tasty cookies I've seen in the loop**

This subway sucks. And once I redeem my 10th free sub, I won't be returning. Yea yea, why'd I go 9 other times? Because once I get a punch card I HAVE TO KEEP GOING. I'm pretty sure this location saves tens of thousands of dollars a year by skimping on every single veggie topping. It'll be the saddest little sub you see. And I'm pretty sure it's not because they're worried about the health effects of an extra handful of lettuce. I finally asked for extra-olives yesterday... they gave me 6. No joke.

There is a subway on every corner in Chicago but this was my favorite because 1) I never ran into my coworkers there 2) the staff wasn't annoying, 3) the corner table by the window was always free and 4) they LOADED vegetables on my sub. Why...WHY did the entire staff change? Now the place just irritates me and the one hour of my day that I could find solace at a corner table eating something healthy is ruined.

This is a brand new Subway, literally a block away from another one, bur really close to the Qunicy brown line stop. It's very clean and has quick service. It also has a granite bar!! It's fun to sit here and watch people walk by as it's slightly below street level. It's like a free freak show with your lunch!
