We (my fiancee and I) were so excited to get to Chicago that we forgot to eat.... 2:30pm rolls around and we are starving. Luckily we saw this Subway off of Hwy 41. Parking was plentiful in this little strip mall. There was one other individual dining at the time of our visit. There was one employee working, and he spoke English but I had a hard time understanding him. This may have been due to my excitement to get to downtown, the fact I had been in a car for a while, or that he just was difficult to understand. The world will never know... Anyway, unlike the Subways back in Milwaukee, this one features $3 subs of the day (6") and a $6 foot-long sub of the month. We opted for the Sub of the Month, which was a bbq grilled chicken. It was make quickly and tasted fresh. One of the peppers on the sub looked questionable so we pulled it off. I would agree with other reviewers that he was stingy with the veggies compared to other Subways I have visited. Usually they don't care if they give you 4 cucumber slices or 8. Overall, it saved us from starvation and tasted good. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this location but if you are traveling across Hwy 41 it is convenient.

The newest Subway Sandwich shopped opened this month. It took over from "another" sandwich shop. That was over priced and rude. Glad to have a Subway close to my gym. (Going for that Jared look). This shop has the average Subway fare. It gains an extra star for friendly people and how they stack the meat inside of the sandwiches. They bring me back to when they were called "Sandwich Artist" not just slap the meat on the bread and keep on moving. Plus they started carrying different flavors of Baked! chips. FINALLY!!

I've been to many subways but never to one that had a bad of a service as this one. When asking for a certain ingredient, ie onions, she puts in literally two slivers. When asking for some more, the worker rolls her eyes and adds two more slivers. The more frustrating part is that she stands there with a smirk on her face asking me to hurry up when she doesn't do anything.

DO NOT come to this subway. They are very stingy on what they put on your sandwiches. You ask for extra olives they toss on two. You can say a lot they put on four. I don't like that but it's close to my house so I figured not too bad when I'm hungry. Today, I got a cup of broccoli and cheddar soup on the side. When I got home, I started to dig in. The soup looked watery and oddly a light yellow. I've loved subway's broccoli and cheddar soup. I've gotten it many times and figured all places are a bit different. But this soup was sour! It's freaking sour! I can't even describe the ramcidness of this soup. I called back immediately and explained. The owner took the phone from the girl who scooped me the soup and he apologized and said she's new and he knows it's bad. He said she's new and gave me the wrong one. If it's bad, why is it on the counter for serving?!?! She should have been notified and should have been tossed out! He's probably hoping to save some more pennies and serve it hopefully customers won't notice. He said come back I'll give you another one. Well hell no. Because it's close, I'll be coming by for my money since I want him to profit off of nothing. This is disgusting and I can't imagine what else they try to save from earlier days in the week. Spoiled beyond my belief. DON'T GO here if you don't want to die from spoiled soup that tastes like I squeezed a lime into it. Would give a zero if i could. UPDATE: I went back same day to get a refund and requested for a corporate or higher manager's number. The guy named Yogi says no one like that exists and tells me to go to subway.com . I tell him I know you have someone above the owner who was also there that I'd like to speak to to report this. He scrawls down a phone number and I call as soon as I sit down into my car. I was directed to a voicemail to a guy named Yogi. I stormed back in saying I requested corporate and was given his phone number instead. It was highly unprofessional and they obviously wanted to hide this because I'm sure it did not happen just this once. They lied and gave me a fake number! Who does that in a company this big?! Don't go to subway. Better off somewhere else especially because of locations this.

I feel like I review Subways a little too often. Maybe I go to Subways a little too often. Either way it makes me a self-proclaimed subway customer expert. Allow me to tell you rule number one to never, ever violate in my Subway book. Do not put out a drink fountain with a large sign reading "Sorry, No Refills". This is beyond a no-no. Anyone with any sense knows that the drinks are the big money makers for chain restaraunts. It cost pennies to make and you can charge a couple bucks for a combo and make a nice little profit margin. If I want an extra 7 ounces of Diet coke and will help myself - let me do it. Dont make me feel shame for doing so or restrict me from doing so. End of story. In conclusion I will never return here. Sorry guys.
