Rachel, Sarah, Jennifer, and all the other employees at this location have been kind and courteous to me every time I've gone here, which is very often. No matter how long the line is, if I see Rachel and Sarah working the espresso machine, I know the line will go very quickly. I've had bad experiences at other Starbucks in this neighborhood, so I go out of my way to go here when I need my fix.

I cannot believe this hasn't yet been reviewed! This place is open 23 (or 24?) hours a day! Oh no - I might have just ruined it for everyone that works and goes to school here.

This is the only Starbucks I visit because I never feel like I'm inconveniencing the people that work there, can't say that for other Starbucks. It's inside Northwestern Hospital so the lines can get pretty long. They move pretty fast and they are always nice.

This Starbucks kiosk is conveniently hidden inside the south east corner of the NU Med school building at 251 E Huron. Sure, it's only starbucks, but it's a fantastic find for the undercaffeinated mba student who's sick of the burnt "Cafe Kellogg" coffee.

A very efficient Starbucks! During the morning rush, you tell your order to a guy with a headset, before you even reach the counter. Runs very smoothly.

I don't really review places like Starbucks, people are going to go there regardless of what I say. But I felt like I should really let people know how nice, quick and attentive the people who work here are. My boyfriend stopped in to get us coffee one morning and while pouring the coffee the barista spilled scalding hot coffee on her arm in some freak accident. She didn't utter a peep, smiled on through it and wiped it off and rang him up, (I hope she's OK!) But who in the hell is nice to a customer after seriously getting hurt? That girl is. Seriously though, weeks later, I hope she's OK! I've also dealt with the older gentleman who works there and he's really awesome. Unlike Maya P.'s experience, I gave him my card and he rang it up with ease, no problem, was super nice, quick and didn't have a problem hearing or answering my questions about free refills with a registered Starbucks Card. In my experience as a customer (not a barista, I don't have the social or emotional capacity for that) sometimes it's not always the person behind the counter that has a problem sometimes it's the customer. We all have off days, suggesting someone be assigned new tasks because you *feel" like they had one is a bit outrageous. Not to pick on anyone but I REALLY like that guy, and seeing him being called out for "being elderly" or having some "elderly induced ailment" like hearing loss while also stating that they didn't ask for a receipt or card balance and just stood there really miffs me, especially considering how great he was.

So, being a college student, I have many nights where I need to stay up late. Starbucks is always one of my first choices outside university libraries. This location is great because its relatively quiet and peaceful, and open 24/7. I didn't think I'd ever write a review for a Starbucks, but feel I that the outstanding service calls for it Ryan, one of the baristas and cashiers recommended a coffee brewed by a machine (I believe it to be called the "Clover"). What it does is brew their specialty coffee in a cup sized serving. I recommend trying a regular coffee (or iced) using the other specialty roasts. When I asked for something delicious with a good amount of caffeine, he recommended the blonde roast ( my recent favorite). I had a Iced (blonde roast) coffee, sweetened, with soy milk. Best coffee I've had in a while! Ryan's enthusiasm in his recommendation made my Gf and I's experience pleasant, and he even made us laugh a few times. Thanks Again!

This is a 24 hour Starbucks, and the closest one to my place. Because this is located on the ground floor of Northwestern Memorial, the people watching is pretty interesting - lots of dudes frantically running around in scrubs. I don't like that there aren't very many outlets for laptops here, though. And when I was here at 10 p.m., it was almost totally deserted... and I much prefer the atmosphere at the Rush/Walton Starbucks, which is packed and energetic at 10 p.m. This place just makes me feel sleeeepy.. I wasn't able to find a Starbucks wireless network here, but I was able to connect for free to the "NMHGUEST" network instead.

Starbucks 24/7. Enough said. Just tried their new tiramisu latte and I wasn't disappointed. Of course my favorite still and will always be white chocolate mocha. Location is great here because of the hospital, keeps options open with so many locations to get coffee in this huge hospital.

This place is going to get me through med school... open 24 hours! For those 4am caffeine cravings. The only catch is that if you want to study there, the lights go dim at 9pm, making it hard to stay awake. Oh and if you can, avoid the peak times of 8, 9 and 10am. Or you'll be greeted with a looooong line,

Do not go to this Starbucks. Never seem such disrespect shown by an employee before... my gf walked in ordering a coffee. When asked what her name was (usual protocol) the barista said, "you don't look like a Jessica." My gf is Chinese/Mexican.... he then proceeded with, "you look more like a Ming or a Ling.. or a Ming-Ling".... visibly upset, my gf silently waited for her coffee (already paid) the barista further demonstrated his utter ignorance, "don't be upset, I'm just stereotyping." Seriously Starbucks, classy employees you have there... If I could give it 0 stars.. I would. This place has forever kept me from your beverages. I will be taking my patronage elsewhere.

It's the only 24-hr Starbucks remotely in vicinity, and the coffee and espresso drinks are very well-crafted (like most downtown Starbucks). And there is an academic vibe, with med students studying for boards and hospital employees frequenting the location (though occasionally homeless people hanging out). My only other contention is that sometimes some of the employees can be rude. Unlike most downtown Chicago Starbucks, where the employees are ridiculously nice.

My favorite pick me upper morning and afternoon. Service is always quick and friendly!

The workers here are some of the nicest I've ever come across at a Starbucks. They have always been upbeat when I've gone through at all times of the morning, afternoon and night. The fact that they are open from 4:30a.m to 3:00a.m is amazeBALLS and extremely smart from a business perspective. I mean think about how much money this location brings in from family & friends visiting loved ones overnight, employees from all different departments of the hospital working the night shift, students pulling all-nighters and neighborhood dwellers like me who randomly need their Starbucks fix at odd hours. Definitely a fan and I plan on becoming the Duke of this Starbucks! LOL :-)

Starbucks is starbucks, but the extended hours and friendly service at this location definitely makes it stand out. Even when they're super busy in the morning, I find that they're pretty well organized and I never have to wait too long for my drink. The caffeine is absolutely necessary to help me power through med school.

I went in at night and maybe the 2 people working were tired, or simply hated life. They were slow, rude and seemed irritated to be waiting on me. I ordered the blackberry mojito shaken ice tea. I noticed that advertisement said it had lemonade in it. I asked the guy if there was a lot of lemonade because I didn't care for to much. He just sorta stared at me and after a minute said "yeah there is lemonade in it" I repeated my question and he acted like he was just stupid? For lack of a better word. I told him I wanted a grande and when he started ringing in my order he repeated it back "ice peach green tea, venti". I said NO I ordered the blackberry mojito and a grande. The girl making it clearly was just as unpleasant. She offered no communication and when my drink was done she put it in the counter...no calling my name, the name of the drink....nothing. If I ever find myself needing/wanting a Starbucks this late again I will Pass before I go back to this location

Ugh! I love Starbucks but this location is the worst! The line is always long and the staff are rude and snobby. Get over yourself, you work at a coffee shop!! Also, I have never waited less than 7 minutes to get my drink. They have about a 50% accuracy rate on making it correctly too. I like the convenience of having this right here at work, but this is poorly run.

One of the best Starbucks locations ! The staff are super friendly and already have your order ready when getting to the counter . Makes for a great way to start your day !

Sometimes all you need to get through a rough 12 hour shift is that caffeine pick-me-up and a sympathetic Starbucks employee to make it for you! The drinks are very consistent, and the service is prompt. Shout out to Sid for comic relief every time I visit!

24/7 Caffeination!!! If you're like me, then I stop in for a 3am hot cocoa break, followed by a post-work congratulatory cocoa for surviving through the night. There's usually a fairly decent line in the a.m. as you place an order through someone wearing a drive-thru-esque headpiece. You know deadlines/exams are coming up when there are people scattered nearby diligently studying. It gets a little too dim for my liking at 3am, but decent if you are in need of a quiet place at odd hours.

Horrible service every time I go. Always forgetting my order. I always seem to be asking if they can check on my order. I work at nmh so it's convenient, but c'mon, nmh has some standards to uphold. This place is a joke.

Fast & convenient.... and very close to my inlaw's condo...... They are always busy, and keep the line moving.... They carry just about all the the pastry goods... except for anything that needs to be heated up! (Please get one of those ovens soon, I was dying for one of those great egg sandwiches yesterday morning!) They also are open for 24/7 for the medical staff there at Northwestern Hospital.... and for those in the are just needing a cup of Joe! I am happy I found them not so long ago.... (But get one of those ovens!)

This new man they hired is in his 70s. I'm not discriminating but he can't hear so maybe he should have a job other than cashier. Also, he doesn't party attention. I paid with a gift card my friend gave me, she didn't know how much was on it.,I waited for the guy to offer me a receipt or just give me an ok on the card. I stood there like an idiot but he already switched to someone else. Then people in the line called me back and I went back like an idiot after he loudly announced that there wad no money on the card. Everyone looked at me like I was trying to get away with not paying. he should pay more attention and not just get away with stuff because he is old.

Worst Starbucks I've ever been to. Even though its the most convenient place for me to get coffee, and I went there almost every day for several months, I've just stopped going to this starbucks because of the terrible service, and instead visit au bon pain for coffee in a pinch ,or go a few blocks away to the Starbucks on Ontario. Sometimes, the employees put out a few drinks and don't call out what they are, and if you ask if one of them is your drink, they will either legitimately YELL at you, or completely ignore you. I've gotten the wrong drink three times because of this, and when I tried to tell them, they were extremely rude about giving me the drink i'd ordered. A couple of times, they ran out of an ingredient, but didn't say so before charging me for a drink (I can't tell you how many times I've ordered a blonde roast or bold coffee and paid for it, only for them to tell me they don't have it). Also FYI, they don't have a toaster, so don't expect a toasted bagel.

I work here. I love this Starbucks. Friendly, sweet, and smiling. I've been coming here for the last 10 years. I love that it's open 24 hours a day (I work all sorts of shifts including overnights), and these guys are the most efficient team in the hospital. :)

Fast convenient service despite long lines. Hey, other people like their coffee the same times I enjoy my coffee too. The staff keep the line moving so don't be discouraged. They also have clover machine brewed coffee! They are single cup brewed with exotic and rarer single origin beans. Go for the Jamaican Blue Mountain or exotic Sumatra if you like it hot and heavy! It's the aged prime double cut porterhouse of coffees. These make my usual bold red-eyes (bold blend plus an espresso shot) taste bland, 'cause yes, I like it hot and heavy. Yes, it costs more but you'll know where your money went- wasn't that from Pulp Fiction?

Like many hardcore Yelpers, I love great coffee at quirky, locally owned coffee shops. Absent that, this Starbucks meets THREE of my road warrior requirements: (1) It's open 24 hours; (2) It has plenty of room to spread out and plug in, if you need a workspace to get something done before you head to your next appointment (or flight); (3) It stocks Starbucks' full food menu, so you can get a decent lunch or snack And it's easy to hail a cab because it's within a couple blocks of Michigan Avenue.

This is easily the smallest Starbucks I have ever been to. It's almost like a hallway and there's usually an incredibly long line. The line's long so it takes forever. No good. There's barely any food selection - just a few different pastries, etc. As mentioned, the line is long and it blocks the coffee making station (cream, sugar, etc.). Not good. This city has Starbucks everywhere - I'd suggest going to another one.

I absolutely love this Starbucks location! It was kind of tricky getting in since my friend and I couldn't find the main entrance but sure enough it is the main entrance of the hospital. The staff is so nice and boy, they know how to make good drinks even at 2 a.m.! My friend tried their tiramisu latte, and he absolutely loved it! I just got my dark black coffee. I like how you can use your Starbucks card here but be aware, they don't follow any of the promos! So sad. If you are looking for a good spot to study, this location is the perfect place! It has free wifi, good drinks, comfy seats as well as counter seats! It has such an academic vibe to it that it just makes it perfect! I definitely recommend this Starbucks.
