Dear Southport Starbucks, thx to the blizzard you've enjoyed my patronage three times this week while i unfortunately, have been unimpressed with your service. Three days three lattes three screw ups. All three were filled leaving more than an inch of empty coffee loving space left. All three were devoid of whip cream (standard with this drink order). Two were the wrong drink. Im not enjoying my morning jolt as much as I should be and I'm not heading back to this location.

I just started trying different Starbucks in my area because the internet is mad slow at the one on diversey & Sheffield. I really like this one. They are always giving some kind of drink or pastry away. Today it was Oprah's new chai drink. They have about 6 tables at a long bench and a long table. They have outdoor patio seating on the front and side. It's a really nice spacious Starbucks and the internet isn't slow. No comfy soft chairs tho.

Courtney, the barista with the attitude. Sorry, I am literally hard of hearing and when I ordered 3 drinks and asked if one was the non-fat latte', I really did not appreciate your smart asz comment of "That's what I said it is, right?" with your tone of voice dripping with condescension and the rolling of the eyes to match If you are that miserable in your job where a simple question, asked with no attitude, elicits such a completely non-customer service response, perhaps you should go work for the DMV. I am truly sorry if this job is not your dream job. Guess what, I cleaned toilets after college. I made no money for years, but put my head down and took advantages of what life offered me. Courtney, I hope you find some place you are happy. But in the meantime, please don't make the rest of us paying $5 for coffee have to deal with your piss poor attitude.

I tried this Starbucks today and won't come back. The internet was crazy slow-so slow I couldn't pull up a simple website. I hate paying $4 for a drink, sitting down, and finding out I won't be able to get any work done. The barista at the front was totally unhelpful about resolving the issue-couldn't even tell me if one place was better to sit than another. Left after 20 wasted minutes trying to connect.

Lots of tables and they have a little bar to sit at too. Friendly staff. Good location. Idk why they have bad reviews. So much sitting area!

Like most Starbucks, this one gets busy during the morning rush, but it shouldn't take 10-15 minutes to make one simple latte! There are usually six employees behind the counter, yet orders still take forever. It may be more efficient to have someone take food orders when people get up to the display, which I've seen at other locations. The layout stinks as well, especially for the large crowd of zombies that forms while waiting for drinks!

I was excited for the new move across the street to a bigger space at 3400 N Southport. However, the space is COMPLETELY underutilized and poorly designed. There is one large table which works well but also 6-7 two tops, which generally have ONE person sitting at them. I'm emailing them and trying to get them to make a change because this is ridiculous.

I hate this Starbucks location. I really do. It is small, cramped, loud, and the service is incredibly slow. Neighborhood moms seem to think that this Starbucks is a giant play pen for their screaming children. What really irks me, though, is the fact that they never get my order correct. Ever. I order a vanilla latte, I get charged for a vanilla latte, but I get a plain latte. I've taken to checking out what they write on my cup, as it is usually not even close to what I order. And that is if I ever get my drink, at all. Today really made it clear that I should never return to this location again. In fact, today's treatment is what dropped this location from 2 stars down to one in my book. Today, I ordered an iced tea, unsweetened. Easy, right? Apparently not. I waited for 15 minutes, while people in line behind me got their complicated foamy, flavored drinks. One of the baristas finally asked what I was waiting for. I pointed to the empty cup with my name and order written on it sitting right in front of her and repeated my order. Tall, iced black tea, unsweetened. What I got was a load of sugary syrup and just a tiny bit of tea over ice. When I pointed out that I had ordered my tea unsweetened, I was told I was wrong. I explained again I had ordered it unsweetened, and that I would like to get the drink I ordered. The barista insisted that I had ordered it sweetened and told me if I want one unsweetened, then I needed to pay for a second drink. If this happened at my usual Starbucks location (it did, once), the barista would have just apologized and made me the drink I actually ordered. At this location, I left empty handed (I left the sugary bomb of an iced tea sitting on the counter) and angry that I had just spent money on a drink that I never got.

Pretty standard Starbucks but what makes this one only 3 stars is the small interior, the fact that 50% of the time I'm lucky to get syrup in my vanilla lattes and the very average feeling I get from the staff. They seem nice enough and are typically pretty damn busy in the mornings. It's a tough balance making fast drinks and making time for genuinely enjoyable banter so I don't doubt that they're doing their best. Anyway, pretty standard. I've heard they have a good amount of outside seating but haven't gone there or seen it. Oh, and beware of baby strollers...and not the small kind....they could hurt you. Which reminds me...local people...why? There's no room for the stroller! Maybe rethink your morning routine and strategy with your mini-me...? Many of us would appreciate it and we'd be able to focus on how damn cute they are rather than on how pissed we are at getting run over when we haven't had our morning jacked-up-juice. ;)

Service and staff were friendly and fast for a busy Saturday afternoon. They got my order right which is obviously very important. This location is very small so if you want to hang out, it would be very hard. Other than that, this Starbucks is great!

The slowest Starbucks in the city of Chicago. My bf lives right around the corner so I run here on my way to the train. I know now that unless my train is more than 10min away, I cannot stop; all I ever get is either hot or iced coffee. That's pretty bad. Stupid slow. No Multitasking. Cannot prioritize orders. My simple black coffee should not get placed last in a line behind 4 crazy foamy triple grandes.....

Do you enjoy relaxing with a friend and a cope of joe? What about reading a book with some iced tea? Or even getting some work done between sips of that latte? If this is you, this is NOT your Starbucks. Although somewhat beyond the control of the store and baristas, this place is a zoo with uncontrolled kids screaming and yelling. I stopped in here to catch up on some email and get a few things done but could not concentrate due to all the whacky, loud, and often obnoxious kids in this place. Every parent came in with at least one rug rat. Strollers used up precious space and it was just too many people and kids bumping into each other. I will try to work somewhere else...

I used to think "If you've been to one starbucks, you've been to them all." Boy was I wrong. The staff here is just super friendly and theres always parents kicking it with their little kids. Sometimes its the little things that make a difference.

This Starbucks is definitely not the best in the city. I only go to it since it is one block from my house and usually only on Saturday/Sunday since I stop at a different Starbucks on my drive to work Maybe it is just the employees on the weekend, but almost every time I go there, they serve the drinks out of order. I know it is Starbucks' policy to serve customers in the order they are placed. Also, I have had a lukewarm latte a few times. Staff is always friendly and really seems to know everyone in the neighborhood.

They moved to a bigger location so I thought things would finally go better here when I stop for the occasional morning latte. Nope! This has to be the slowest Starbucks I have ever had to deal with. So lucky that this is my neighborhood location! Ugh! They always have a ton of employees behind the counter, but they're typically slow as molasses or are doing other tasks besides helping customers. Good sir, messing around in the safe under the cash register as 15 customers are in line behind the movie theater like rope could probably wait until a later time. Just a thought!
