I rather like this Starbucks because it's centrally located close to most of the shops and surrounding restaurants. On Saturdays, this is the place to meet with a friend and do some people watching because of all the foot traffic along Diversy Parkway. The only time I've seen it get really crowded is during early morning hours before 10am. The staff that work here are very friendly and get to know you after a few visits. For some reason, I think the Ice Coffee gives me more of a pickup than their regular blonde brand. I will try to come back again on weekends.

what a joke! I am a regular at many Starbucks locations as they are reliable ( usually ) and easy to find, and we know what we are getting. NOT the case here! I walk in and order my venti black iced tea, no sugar, light ice. I enjoy it a little stronger than Starbucks makes it. So, I am waiting for the drink and the dude calls it out and places it on the counter and proceeds to make the next customers drink, fine. I look at it and thought it belonged to somebody else as it looked like green tea. I politely wait until the next barista is not busy and point out I ordered iced black tea. The barista that made it stops what he is doing and walks over... '' is there a problem with the drink?'' Yes, this is green tea I ordered black.'' With rude sarcasm ( not in a good way ) he picks it up and looks at it like it is a science tube on a lab, with close examination of the cup...'' miss, it is black tea''. and puts it down. I told him I ordered black with light ice, and this was such a weak tea not only because it was literally filled to the top with ice, but it just seemed to be a weak batch. I ask him to please make another drink, LIGHT ice... Okay miss, no prob. The new drink hits the counter ... the same way as the first one !!!!!!!!! I just grabbed it and walked out, clearly this was a challenge of ego, or maybe he is just an asshole all the time. I wont ever know because I will never go to this location again. screw you, and your attitude. Jerk!

It's Starbucks. It's coffee. You know what to expect in the caw-fee department. This location usually has a decent selection of pastry. The barista's are friendly and chatty. Parking is usually easy on Paulina or Diversey, and free, too! Good people watching here.

Ok, I wouldn't normally review a Starbucks but this one is sort of hilarious. 1. The people watching. Oh my. It's just too much. The cross section between "West Lakeview" trixies and chads after a hard night out mixed with mommy-yoga-daddy-baby groups is just too much. Little do the c's and t's know that they are glancing not only into their overpriced latte, but into the future...Cubs hats don't go out of style, they just get less hair underneath them, bros. 2. The barristas here are crazy good. I know it sounds weird. But, really. The Italian looking guy that is always slinging drinks should get a raise. The dude is unreal. If it weren't Starbucks, I'd think he was the owner. He's on top of shit. People like him. Trixies and Mommies alike. Everyone loves him. He calls out your name and your drink and you leap from your seat and embrace it with all its joy and happiness. He makes this happen. He's an asset. 3. There is a semi-secluded area to the right (if you are at the counter) which is a bit removed from all the ordering/making madness so its a bit quieter. There are a few tables. With outlets. Combined with the free wifi, this can make a very decent place to work or study. Just get out of the way if I need the table, ok? Kidding, I don't live here anymore. Go ahead. 4. There is a great nail salon next door. 5. They leave out water for all the dogs that get tied up while their "parents" get lattes (see point 1). This is nice of them. What would be nicer of their owners would be to not tie them up outside to get all tangly and barky. Perhaps just leave the dog at home, swing back and get him once you are done chatting up the barristas, the trixies and the baby yoga mommies, brohan guy? So, as you can see....between the effervescent staff, the wonderfully hilarious cross-section crowd, the dog-owners and the study or work from home people...this place is just buzzing with all sorts of activity. And ya know, they make the super crazy huge lattes with a million flavors so you barely have to think you are even drinking coffee. What's not to looooooove!? Chain bang. Sorry, had to do it. Ps. Do not park in the no parking zones to run in and get your latte, there's a meter maid that is on to y'all that waits around the corner.

This is by far the best Starbucks I have been to. I love the fact that it is never crowded. I've gone there with a friend a couple times and we always find a good seat and never have much interruption. As a matter fact, the Starbucks isn't even in my neighborhood but it's totally worth the trip for a good meeting or to catch up with a friend.

I love starbucks. I drink it several times a week but this location will never see any of my business. I had just gotten my nails done at the salon next door and was looking to continue a very relaxing day with a nice iced coffee beverage... Well that didn't happen. I stood at the register waiting to order for almost 5 minutes while the two employees behind the counter discussed needing venti cups. No one said hello, no one said they would be right with me, so I left empty handed and un-caffinated. I will never return to this location. VERY poor customer service.

Two years after my initial review, I still love this Starbucks. I usually go in the mornings when Johnny is working...dude knows exactly what I'm getting. The rest of the baristas are great too. One negative: sometimes it turns into a Romper Room in there with the LP mothers and nannies clogging it up with their MAMMOTH strollers and letting their kids run rampant.

Starbucks is Starbucks. But i did enjoy listening to the baristas argue while having my coffee.

I love this place. The workers are friendly, call me by name, and never get a drink wrong. Clearly the best of the best! Plus, the people that frequent it are all awesome!

Starbucks can suck it. I went here out of desperation, and I am embarrassed to even write this. I hate you Starbucks, but you weren't total shit, so you get 2 stars. My coffee, was.....coffee, and it was overpriced and had a slightly burnt taste to it. I know my review means nothing to your corporate ass, but you guys can shove it. SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESS.

Updating my last review. They've removed the signs stating that a $250 fine will be imposed if you tie up a dog that barks, so I've added it back to my weekend dog route when taking my dogs for their morning walk. It's been great to run in to old friends and new and the service is still great. They even remembered my drink! I appreciate that they had a talk with their neighbor about interacting with their clients.

The baristas that work at the other Starbucks should take weekend lessons from this location.
