Chain alert! I hardly put in a review for a chain but occasionally I do for the location itself rather then the company. It's SBUX as you may already know, love and/or hate so I won't add any more than just to review this location. I find the staff to be quite friendly and helpful when it comes to suggestions which is great for someone like me who wants to try different things from time to time. Fellow patrons aren't so bad either albeit a couple of crazy ones but generally the vibe is A OK. So this Starbucks just got a makeover and it does look much nicer and modern. The best part of the new look is that they now have the Clover machine which has made my coffee enjoyment much better and will keep me coming back. Give it a shot if you are ever in a SBUX that has it but do know it costs a bit more.

They have remodeled this Starbucks and I really like the new layout/design. This is a great place to grab a drink and chill. When we first moved out here, we would hang out at this location to get some work done. When you are waiting for your furniture to arrive, these coffee shops are a great place to hang out. My go to drink is the Green Tea Latte.

Fast and friendly service. Atmosphere is hip and casual. It's brand new interior attracts a packed house. Every time I'm there I bump in to someone I'm meant to see!

Nice staff, fast reliable Google Fiber, outdoor seating, comfortable seating. Mostly. Blinding sunlight at the bar seating facing out on Berwyn. I'll add a star when they add blinds.

When did everyone that works here get so unfriendly?? I used to enjoy walking in and being greeted with a "hey how are you?" Now I'd be lucky to even get a smile before the broken record: "what can I get for you?" The remodel was nice but I'd take all the old employees that aren't here anymore and better service over a new paint job any day. Also, why are there six or seven people working and only one making drinks? Get it together Starbucks.

they have remodeled removing the comfortable places to sit and replacing them with a crowded bar area. I will look for a more inviting coffee shop

This used to be a nice Starbucks, friendly staff and cozy.....but now, the staff is friendly enough, but the place is a mess....and *COLD* in the winter. Dark atmosphere and poorly arranged furniture, either the fireplace is not working or it's not turned on. Dreary, low vibe. Not unique among Starbucks, but this one used to be the exception - now it has joined the ranks of the others. Poor feng shui. Have to negotiate around piles of boxes get to the restrooms which are bleak. Too much STUFF blocking pathways to the tables and chairs. One star for the comfy couches.

Great neighborhood, great coffee. Really nice location. Clark & Berwyn 10 min walk from Redline station. The staff is always friendly & joking around with everyone. They seem like a family behind the counter. Very knowledgable about coffee. You can tell they really enjoy what they do. Andersonville store was remodeled last year & it looks awesome. Fireplace & cozy chairs. I'm in here at least 3 times a week.

Standard Starbucks, except for when I went in they were not writing names on the cups, which leads to a lot of confusion when people are waiting and grab drinks out of order.

This is my neighborhood Starbucks and I have been coming here for the last 15 years. Fast friendly service and a fairly good size area to sit and relax. In the winter they have the fireplace going which is helpful when the door opens multiple times. The only draw back to the nice seating area is that some regulars think this is their home and act like it ie. take their shoes off, nap etc. They do offer may food options (hot & cold) as well as coffee by the pound.

I sometimes stop in to this Starbucks before work if I've run out of coffee at home. Like most Starbucks I've visited on the north side of Chicago, the baristas are friendly and efficient. Though, the regular customers sometimes spend too much time chatting with the baristas and hold up the line. It's always well-stocked with pastries and my order has never been forgotten. I can't comment on the seating area as I've only taken my orders to go.

One day I just woke up and decided I'd had enough of this location. From the constant upselling to the employees talking about inappropriate things while ordering I just get a bad vibe from this location. Fortunately there are Starbucks every 4 blocks in the city so I can go elsewhere.

By now, most people know what to expect at Starbucks, so there's not too much to say about the "experience" itself. However, after the recent remodeling of this store, I'm compelled to weigh in with my disappointment with some of the changes that I've noticed. The staff is kind of a mixed bag here. Most have been pleasant, or at least efficient. But a couple of the guys are rather snarky, especially if you voice a concern about something. Not the best approach to customer service... I don't generally get coffee there to drink on site. I almost always take it to go, which is kind of necessary, anyway, as there are usually so many people already in the place who are camped out, plugged in, and using the shop as an office. With the recent remodeling, they did add a few seats but it still seems undersized for the volume of business (and campers). Nevertheless, my real gripe is that they now refuse to do a "pour-over" now that they have a "Clover" machine. All I usually want is a quick cup of half-caf to go, which used to be great because, if they didn't have the decaf already brewed, they'd do a quick pour-over and I was on my way in a couple minutes. Now, this Clover thing takes a lot longer, it seems far more labor-intensive, and of course they charge more for it. Seems like s sleazy way to wring a little extra cash out of a loyal customer while making him wait considerably longer for the drink. Also, the new La Boulange stuff is generally smaller, more expensive and not as good as their prior offerings. All in all, I'm rethinking my loyalty to Starbucks. With Kopi and Coffee Studio just up the street, perhaps Starbucks should rethink some of their improvements.

It's a Starbucks, it's about what you'd expect. However, I had to write a review for two reasons: the ridiculously slow wi-fi (at 1pm on a Monday, I'm getting time-outs, really?) and the deeeeliiiicious Finca Nuevo Mexico. I'm not normally a huge coffee snob, though I do prefer indie places. That said, I tried the Finca Nuevo on a whim and fell in love. Fix the wi-fi and I'd come here more often, not just when it's the "free" option because I forgot I had cash on my SBUX card.

Nice place, it's pretty big plenty of seats, tables. Cozy feeling kind of place. Location is right in the corner so you can enjoy people watching when you drink your cup of Joe. Staff was friendly even late night orders of a cup of tea. I would only go back if I'm in the area.

When it comes to Starbucks, you know what you're getting. The menus at each franchise are just about identical, but there are distinct differences that make some branches more favorable than others. This review is meant to reflect what makes this Starbucks unique more so than the company as a whole. This location has lots of great casual work space. Though it always seems busy, I can always find a place to sit. The baristas are pros, and on the few occasions that someone has messed up one of my unnecessarily difficult drink orders, they have taken responsibility and fixed it. That being said, Kopi Cafe across the street and The Coffee Studio a few blocks North offer more personality and equally impressive service. For frequent coffee drinkers, I also strongly recommend pursuing a Starbucks Gold Card if you do not already have one. By simply reloading and reusing a gift card, you can easily reach Gold status. By doing so you get free flavors, free soy milk, and a free drink after every 15.

I think this starbucks is great. Who doesn't love Andersonville?! Starbucks is consistant and you know what you are getting for your money. I've been a GOLD MEMBER for a year now.... pretty sweet get drinks and stuff free every once and a while! Starbucks started with one goal in mind: GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, I would say this starbucks has it covered! I also wait for the bus in front of this starbucks 4 days a week, so it also protects me from the outdoor elements, so I feel I must give back to the cause :) Stormy D needs to simmer down about the whole GAY THING... I don't see what that has to do with your coffee at all sir... if your a "suburbanite" stay away, I think you have starbucks up there with your breeder friends. SO CHILL ALREADY. How OFFENSIVE. thank you.

Poor service for an iced coffee. I ordered my iced coffee before a rush of people came and I was one of the last people to get my drink. This is after four people, two of which had lattes. I watched the barrista pour my drink together and it took seconds to do all that. Will I go back to that particular Starbucks? Not a chance, if you can't get it together for something you just pour into a cup I can't trust you with anything more complicated.

Nice staff but Starbucks does not turn on the heat in their cafes in cold weather. This practice saves them money. It also prevents customers from sticking around for too long, or if they do, they have to buy multiple beverages to maintain a reasonable body temperature. It doesn't matter that the huge, uninsulated wrap-around windows contribute to the heat-loss in the room because they also provide good marketing views from the street. Plus, allowing natural light in saves them electricity costs. At four dollars per beverage, a customer ought to be able to drink it in relative comfort. Boo, corporation.

This location is always overcrowded. There is never room to seat. The bandwidth is horrible because there are so many people on mobile devices. It is extremely difficult to connect to wifi. Its best to order and leave.

You know - its a Starbucks. Would anyone really make a decision to visit a Starbucks based on a Yelp review or Yelp score? I would hope not. I have been here several times, they make the same drinks as other Starbucks. The place does fill up rather quickly with people. I really just writing this review because Yelp keeps pestering me to do so. Cheers!

I have been coming to this starbucks ever since I moved to Andersonville over a year ago. From the first few visits, I knew this was a great starbucks with happy regulars and an incredible staff. The coffee is always fresh and delicious here- for some reason, the coffee at other starbucks just doesn't taste this consistently good. I always come around 8:20 during the rush and they get through the lines super fast and are so nice to everyone even when it is busy. The best part are the individuals who work here- the manager must have taken his time to hire the best because these guys (and gals) are great. They are genuine when they ask how you are doing which has got to be hard when you deal with customers all day long.

  • Britta D.

Absolutely love all the employees here. They are so friendly and always know my order. They go out of their way to be courteous and many times it makes my morning start off on a great note. The reason I gave them a 4 out of 5 is because the homeless people lingering by the doors every single day is a bit ridiculous. There are the same 3 guys standing/sitting right next to door almost every single time I go there and it's annoying to be constantly asked for money everyday.

Reviewing a Starbucks takes a certain amount of dedication. I actually had not been in a Starbucks for a very long time. I use to go a lot, but then I discovered french press coffee at home. But a few days ago I went in for a medium latte and mango/orange smoothie for my guest. Retail coffee needs to rock to get my attention, and this Starbucks rocks. Grab a starbucky drink, walk and shop in andersonville, and you will be happy you did!

Do I really need to review this establishment.........I consider them the McDonalds of coffee houses...........(sorry Carol, no offense), but in a good way. Consistent, consistent, consistent. Plenty of seating and for Andersonville it is a central location for folks to meet up, study, surf the web or just plain people watching. But for me the internet access is the hidden gem here.....T-Mobile is Starbucks provider and will charge you to access, but Ranalli's Pizza is one the same block on Berwyn, so if you stay in the chairs closer to the register against the window on Berwyn, you can pick up the signal and surf for free. DISCLAIMER: I patronize Ranalli's at least once a month (GREAT PIZZA!!!!!), so I usually don't access during dinner hence noting this here.

This place provided a really nice location for a business meeting a couple of weekends ago. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. My drink tasted great in the heat (had a mint mocha frappuccino). Free wifi as usual and just a nice ambience!

Ah-ha-ha! I figured out the perfect time to stop in here and get a place to sit and write! Wheee! And now they've introduced these new fruity coffee refresher drinks that are absolutely delish. It's Starbucks, but the prices are certainly better than Ch'ava.

I'm not the huge coffee drinker I used to be back in the day. And to be honest, I'd rather frequent Coffee Studio. But I'll spare you the details about how great it is since this isn't a review for them. So. This particular Starbucks, even though there's always a line no matter what day or what time, is always efficient and FRIENDLY. I don't know what's in the water/expresso machine there, but I appreciate the service. I like smiles and acknowledgment and in general have yet to encounter someone on the brink of either a breakdown or suicide. Thank you for being reliable and steadfast and oh, one block away.

So this was "my" Starbucks. I used to go to this one every Sunday morning, super early...like 6 am, and the staff was upbeat and friendly. They must have been dipping into their espresso reserves to make themselves that perky at that hour of the day. A Venti Caramel Macchiato, and a Chicago Trib. I'd take it back to my back steps and do the crossword puzzle, and sip my huge, disgustingly large coffee until I finished the puzzle. If I was lucky, the Israeli boys that hated to wear clothes would come out on to their back porch and play touch football. Nothing starts a Sunday off right like half naked Israeli men with Calvin Klein square cute boxer trunks, coffee, and the paper. These were the same guys who would knock on my door in their underwear to ask for a trash bag, or some sugar. Pure hotness. But this Starbucks is nice. A cozy fireplace, big cushy couches, and lots of street side viewing. And of course, the bathrooms are clean. You have to ask for the key, and we all know what coffee can do to a body. There has never been a time when I didn't have to wait for the key. Even though it was next door to my apartment, I often found I had to pee while I was there. Though I have to say, judging from the lack of Glade potpourri spray, that is not what the last person in the bathroom did. I've heard this place is kindof meat markety, but I wouldn't know that being the chaste, pure-as-snow sort. Always good people watching at this place, and they've yet to screw up an order for me. People say all Starbucks are the same, I'd have to disagree. This one has adapted well to its neighborhood - and while they have not hung Swedish flags, or started serving some Lingenberry flavored coffee, they fit in well. I've had Starbucks downtown several times, and they don't remember you. It is the recognition of frequent customers that makes this place great. If you're in Andyville, check this place out. And go pee while you are there.

I really like this starbucks and that says alot because I just don't like starbucks to begin with. I like my coffee with just cream, not crack a.k.a. sugar. Me and my cousin went in here to kill time before the FEAR show and I was surpised at how much room this location had. Inside, they even had a long banquet style table that offered plenty of space for work/studying; i'm talking seating for five comfortably on each side. Also, the guys in here are really nice and friendly. There was an older gentleman 70/80+ years that seemed to be a regular and the barista/cashiers were joking with him is such a playful manner but yet mature. For example, talking about going to see the "ladies" at the strip club and keeping the hands off. :D

I'm surprised to see such a range of reviews for all the Starbucks across the city. They're always kind of one in the same for me. I frequent this location most often, and it's always very busy. However, it's also very efficient. I'm usually in and out of there in no time. I appreciate that in my coffee shops. The staff is generally friendly, and they know their regulars. I agree with other reviewers that they seem to enjoy their job and their coworkers. I also like that in my coffee shops. While some people consider Starbucks to be an evil empire, I think it's just fine. I do prefer to patronize my local coffee shops, but sometimes I just NEED a frappucino like only Starbucks can create.

Why am I at Starbucks? My evil enemy for years, because it was father's day and my roommate called the shots for the day. Before church we went to grab a drink and light breakfast and to my surprise I loved it! I won't be ordering coffee or making daily trips like an addict but I tried a Strawberry Soy Frappuccino and bagel with cream cheese that was awesome. The service was delightful and I loved the huge wood table. It's always good to try something new.

The redesign is not designed well in my opinion. I've been coming to this Starbucks for five years now. This used to be a neighborhood Starbucks and the new design has taken away from that. Granted it needed work done but this design does not represent the neighborhood as Starbucks supposedly has been trying to do. What I like first is the space which is a little more open looking and it is warmer. They have a new fireplace which also is nice. Now the negative. This is not designed as a communal Starbucks like the old. There are a lot of individual seats and tables which have one person sitting at them. It is designed very much so no one has to speak to each other. The modern industrial look is something that is better off in a different neighborhood, not Andersonville. Places around Andersonville don't put modern/futuristic chairs. The new track lighting is way too bright. There's a corner where you can hide from everyone that's behind the counter/bar. Don't forget about the metal barstools/chairs. For those regulars, you'll know immediately when you walk in what I mean about that no one is talking. Personally the Coffee Studio is more of a place I would go now with friends people to enjoy a coffee. If I just need a quick cup and go about my business then I'll go to this Starbucks. Too bad.

I LIVE on CAFFEINE. Really, truly and no joke. This means that I get to know all of the coffee spots around places frequent, and know them well. This Starbucks is no exception. The setup is kind of off. John B. is right, you do block the display while you are in line (similar to many in the loop, except here people actually purchase beans so it is a problem). They also have a communal work table- great concept, poor location- that frequently is a problem for foot traffic when people have bags etc. What this Starbucks does have is a nice outdoor area and a great staff. There is enough space that you can normally grab a seat somewhere and sip and talk. This is a plus for city Starbucks!!

This Starbucks seems to have a big stick up their butt!! I have been a Starbucks customer for a long time and I even used to work at Starbucks. It shouldn't matter how I'm dressed or whether I have make up on or not to get good service. If I'm in my work out clothes I'm going to look like crap and I just want to get my coffee without attitude....not the case at this at this place..... ****** Totally changed my mind.....I admit I was having a really bad day.....love this Starbuck ' s and ALL the batistas. Customer service is excellent. I chalk up my earlier review to me being judgemental and lack of coffee. Hey we all have bad days. But I will say as wonderful as the staff is, this place gets REALLY busy so come early or late otherwise really long lines.

Great group of people working at this brand new location in Edgewater. I love that it's one of the first Starbucks with a walk up, drive through & seat down outside. Every time I walk up and order everyone there is very polite, smiling, positive & has great energy. I must say it's always a quite delightful experience at this Starbucks location. I recommend the Cookie crumble frappuccino drink!!!!

Beautiful location. Ho hum service. As can be expected with Starbucks nowadays. The sterile personalities of the male baristas working at this location can be done away with.

I go to Starbucks a lot and I have to say the Wilmette Starbucks on Greenbay Road does win for cleanest bathroom but this place wins for most engaging staff. They are so friendly and really seem to care about people or really all of their patrons. These are people of the community and know people who come in and they talk to them and also treat people like me who are once a weekers like friends too. The workers are a part of the store where some *$ you just grab your coffee and forget the people here you remember how they treated you. They could always clean a bit more but yea 5*.

I have to give these guys some props! With a barista career under my belt, I can sympathize with the difficulties you face day to day behind the coffee counter and I am pleasantly surprised at the cheeriness of this staff :) My coworker and I take turns making the coffee run and we are always greeted with a smile and often our drinks are already being made before we order. It's the little things that can make a day great and this 'bucks is a great way to start!

It's a Starbucks. What else can you say? WHen it's not filled with gay men pretending to work/study who are actually on Grindr, it's got the cell phone toting, stroller pushing mommie types. Go to the Coffee Studio at Clark and Olive. Much better place.

Supposedly, the Starbucks at Oak and Rush is Chicago's flagship store, maybe they should reconsider making it this location. The difference is the people. You get the feeling that the people who work here actually like each other and enjoy their jobs. I feel like they are actually glad to see me. My complaint is that the place is too small. They really need to consider moving into the recently vacated auto parts store two doors down. It can get really crowded here, especially on the weekends. This place gets way too busy for such a small location, but the employees are very adept at handling the crush of customers. I have never grown impatient in line here (and I can be very impatient). This is actually the best coffee shop in the neighborhood. It's ironic that the only coffee shop in Andersonville that feels like a cozy neighborhood hangout is run by a big corporation.

Many thanks to Ann and the customer or employee that found my Blackberry and turned it in. I considered it gone when I realized it was missing... but good people came to my rescue. I sat here for most of the day earlier and had quite an enjoyable time cozying up to the fire while working on my laptop. The service is always friendly and fast.

Unlike most people in my peer group, I like Starbucks. I like it the way that a crack addict likes his dealer. The coffee snobs can have their specialty shops and the language they've borrowed from Wine Spectator. I don't care at all about fruitiness or chocolatiness or a cup of coffee with hints of blackberry and sage. I like strong, black coffee that assault my brain immediately. In fact, the more bitter, the better. It reminds me that I'm drinking coffee, not cabernet. Having said that, this particular Starbucks makes me crazy. I'm not sure what it is, but it's difficult to get quick service at this location. Why is it that when I'm 3rd in line it sometimes takes 10 minutes to be on my way with a cup of joe? It's gotten to the point that if I look in the door and see more than 6 people in line, I simply don't go in. It shouldn't be this way. Many years ago, when I worked downtown, I used to frequent the Starbucks at State and Ohio. In the mornings, there would sometimes be 20-30 people in line. It never took more than 3 minutes to be served because the manager, I think his name was Russ, ran the joint like a Marine mess hall. In fact, usually, he would have my coffee in my hand before I even reached the register. Sigh...oh well. Perhaps it's just me. The people at this location are all very friendly and my order is always correct, but I do wish they could be a wee bit speedier.

As I stumbled in there last Saturday for a quad grande carmel macchiato (I was really sleepy even though it was 3 pm), I couldn't help look around and all the people just chillin' chatting or surfing. It was a totally happening place. I haven't been to this location in years and was reminded of a younger me when coffee wasn't just for the quick buzz but a chance to sit and chat with an old friend or watch the world go by while sipping a latte.

I'm a fan of the Starbucks chain, nothing really compares to my skinny vanilla latte with an extra shot and two spends. I love the fact that there is always a sense of consistency at this Starbucks mainly because I usually see the same baristas there. Usually its a sassy bunch of coffee makers, but as of late the staff has seemed a bit more cheery than the usual, must be because they're extra excited about pumpkin spiced latte season. I waited for my coffee and the barista was chummy asking my about my day, even complimenting me about my scarf, which kind of made me feel special, then he asked the girl right next to me the same thing, and complimented her sweater. I caught on to this guy and his liberal handout of compliments. I took my coffee and per-oozed around in hopes of finding a place to sit and jam out this seemingly eternal paper I had for class. I finally found a spot next to some guy on the main table, if you go, you'll know what I am talking about. No one was particularly helpful or moved any of their stuff for me to get through...RUDE but I managed. I tuned out the usual bunch of loonies that frequent the place and usually hang by the bathroom however the baristas seem to be totally chill with these wackes because they give them free coffee and talk to them. Now, I'm all for helping the less fortunate/mentally ill, but come on now the lady speaking to the window in unknown tongues, yeah, she's kind of a distraction. Overall an enjoyable 2 hours of paper writing. The fireplace reminds me of warm and cozy winters I spent with the fam up in Vermont, however the music was a little too loud for my liking kinda made me want to jam out instead of paper write. Overall: ehhh for paper writing/studying. Good to chill at with friends if you manage to fid seating.

This is my favorite Starbucks. I'm a very loyal customer and go there almost daily. This location and Wilton Manors, Fl are very similar. I would have given this location 5 stars but, someone recently brought to my attention that I should have been getting refills for $0.50. This upset me a little that the last 7 years I have been paying full price for refills. I would recommend that staff be trained to mention this to loyal customers.

This is just me bitching about this particular Starbucks. If you're not interested, move on to the next review. Starbucks is Starbucks. There's nothing I can tell you that you don't already know. In general, this one is probably a cut about the rest because of their staff. But what I HATE about this Starbucks is the layout. Their whole bean display is in the middle of a bottleneck between the front seating area and where you order. So there's no way to shop for whole bean coffee without being in everybody's way. On one end, you're in the middle of people waiting for their drinks. On either side, you're in the middle of a narrow aisle people have to walk through to order. There are even tables on one side, you if you're looking at coffees on the lower shelves -- a distinct possibility, since the top of the display is maybe chest-high -- you are literally shoving your butt into the faces of people sitting at the windows. As Borat would say, Niiiiice. This might be a tad less annoying if it wasn't for the fact that there's a whole wall of shelves full of coffee mugs, brewing supplies, and games at the end of the store, completely out of the way. How's about moving the coffee beans over here, Einstein?

It pains me to do so, but I must knock the rating on this place down. They've recently remodeled the seating area. Instead of round tables, they now have square ones. And they've added a seating counter along the big window with a row of high chairs. These may seem like small things, but they've pretty much destroyed the atmosphere that came with sitting in the place. The square tables force you to face one direction instead of being able to position yourself to get a panoramic view of the entire space, which I really didn't appreciate until it was gone. Also, instead of everyone sitting at the same level and getting a nice view of passersby on the street, the only view is of the backs of the heads of the people sitting at the new counter. Also, while they are still trying hard to deliver a great product, I can tell the baristas are not enjoying themselves as much as they used to, and some aspects of the store (like cleanliness) are falling by the wayside. I lay this directly at the feet of Starbucks Corporation and their recent cutbacks in staffing. I'll still go here occasionally, but something's definitely missing from the Starbucks experience I used to enjoy.

This is by far my favorite Starbuck's. I stumbled on it as I began my Swedish language immersion, and wish it was closer to my house. Or perhaps the employees could just transfer to the Starbuck's near my house. The people who work there are all really, really nice and you don't have to remind them when you order a non-fat no-sugar drink to not put whip on it. That is just plain common sense. What really constitutes the 5 stars is the fact I heard the guy working telling a customer how they save all of their milk caps and donate them to one of the area schools to help send them on a trip every year. How cool is that? Nice and they give back to the community. Definitely the best Starbuck's in the city.

all the baristas at this starbucks are always so :). it's a fairly busy starbucks, but i always manage to snag a seat. when the weather's great and i'm lucky, i like to sit outside on their small patio. during the summer, they really turn the thermostat down. be sure to bring a sweater! [washroom isn't always clean--this is definitely one of the most high traffic volume starbucks i've been to...]

I'm not a particular fan of Starbucks, I'd much rather hit a local coffee spot. Compounded by the fact that I'm more of a tea drinker than a coffee drinker. I didn't pick the place for today's meeting. That being said, the place was packed inside and out on a beautiful, sunny and breezy day. My iced tea was good, the staff was nice enough. The place did feel a little worn and in disarray.

I have long thought about writing this review. Every time I sat down to write it, the review turned into a steamy, hot romance novel complete with Fabio on the cover. The barista would touch my creamy thighs. I would stroke his bare chest. And then we would live happily ever after in a bed of coffee beans and whipped cream. but, but, but - I don't think my Starbuck's Fabio works there anymore! Tragic day in the life of Mary. I still like this Starbuck's. They *usually* get my order correct without me saying anything. I won't say what that order is for fear that my Starbuck's Fabio wants to get married tomorrow or just have babies or something hot like that. The lines sometimes move incredibly slow, especially on weekday mornings between 7 and 9 a.m. I really cannot blame the baristas. It's mostly dumb customers who don't know how to work a gift card or have never heard of a latte. And sometimes, just sometimes, the baristas are annoyingly friendly. I know they don't REALLY care how my day is. I realize it's their job to fake it. I should shut my trap and be grateful for good service. For the most part, I am. I just wish my Fabio barista would come back and rescue me. My iced tea drinking would be so much more erotic that way.

I ordered a specialty drink during a low costumer volume time and they completely forgot to give it to me. Took me fifteen minutes to realize they were standing around cracking jokes while I stood there waiting. BUT, they apologized upon realizing the mistake and upgraded my drink.

Starbucks is Starbucks. But there are much better run and operated Starbucks that I have experienced than others. This one falls into the non-smoothly, non-effectively running type of Starbucks. I have waited in line for a long while before remotely being waited on or helped. The priority has fallen on talking to the guest in front of me at length about weekend plans, or a priority in conversation with a fellow coworker than in assisting me to get my drink and be in and out. I've gone Saturday mornings, Tuesday afternoons, Sunday evenings, Monday late afternoons, Thursday night. It's always the same. I have waited at length for my drink to be made by the barista, only to find that my drink was never started to begin with. I think this has happened to me at least 5 times, which becomes more annoying than anything else. So, why do I keep going?! I agree with the other posts that it becomes habit and solely out of laziness. Coffee Studio is in the 'hood now and Kopi has always been here, and both are fully capable of making a customer happy and retaining great business.
