Broccoli cheddar sundays Love the veggie! If you are looking for a quick and filling sub definately check out potbelly! Im commited to my veggie, no swiss extra american & broccoli cheddar....but my friends do say the italian and wreck are great. I feel like a fatty but i was geeked when they came out with the "big" sandwich. Ive been wanting to try a salad b/c they really do look appealing but ill have to come back and review that PS. only place i know that has a chocolate chip oatmeal cookie. YUM

I love toasted sandwiches. And Potbelly fills my need when I need it. This little strip mall opened up and Potbelly, Chipotle, Home Goods, David's Bridal found a new home. I was excited when it opened up. My favorite is the turkey with everything on it, including hot peppers. Love that extra kick! I normally do take out but the dining area always looks clean and the service is friendly. They did have a dart board if you were unsure of what sandwich you wanted. Throw the dart and whatever it landed on was what you got! Pretty sure that no longer is there. And too bad because I would have loved to have done that. But knowing my poor aim, I would probably hit a worker and not the board!

This place of corse just opened and I recently stopped in for a pick up order. I had the Roast Beef, and a chicken soup and it was very yummy. parking is not the greastest their since they have to share with 3 other store's it gets quite packed during a lunch rush.. over all its brand new service was great a meal was too..

I am admittedly putting very little effort into this review, since it's a well-known, much reviewed fast food chain. It's more a rave than review, actually. My first and last time eating Potbelly's was 9 or 10 years ago at the Webster location, back when there were very few locations in Chicago. I think they have...like...thousands in several states, now. I seem to recall not liking their toasted sandwiches. In my mind for all these years, they were a slightly higher-quality Quiznos. Been doing occasional weekday dinners from Panera across the street from here, so thought it was time for another shot. What a fantastic sandwich! I tried the turkey breast with Swiss on regular bread, thin-sliced bread. It was shockingly the best sandwich I've had in a long time. As for sides, the potato and macaroni salads are a bit of a rip-off for the quantity, but not bad. I tried a Dreamsicle shake for dessert, and it was excellent. Also, they sell Orange Crush in glass bottles! It's still not what it was in my youth, but I haven't seen it sold in glass in 30 years probably. So 4 stars. Yay, I'm a new fan. Will be back to try different sandwiches, but I'm almost afraid to since I found one I like so much!

First of all, I love the Farmhouse Salad, and not afraid to say we have eaten it three times in the last couple of weeks. It was our first time at this location however. Once we got home and went to eat our salad, the cup of dressing was "in the salad". That is a first! Who puts the unsanitary cup in with the salad? Secondly, 1/2 of the tiny cup of dressing does not cut it for this huge salad. At any other location, without asking, we have received two full cups of the dressing, not 1/2 of one cup. Therefore, this visit was a complete disaster and will not go back to this location.

Big Ass Ice Cream Sandwiches and Kick Ass Thick Milkshakes...Oh and their sandwiches are pretty dope too. Skip Subway and try this place out. That is all!

I got a chickpea vege salad and found out they raised prices and portions are smaller (new bowls are smaller and it wasn't full). And now the veg salad is just as expensive as salads with meat. No thanks, won't be returning.

This place is legit! The Wreck will change the way you think about a sandwich! Forget Subway and Quiznos. They are fairly priced and have a great selection of milkshakes and fresh baked cookies.

Ok , so now that I have had a few negative run-ins with this location, I decided to pass on my thoughts to HQ. Within an hour I received a nice response, along with a response from the general manager of this location. We're all squared away and best buds again. I must say that the swift arm of customer service from Potbelly's comes quickly. Nice work.

Well it seems the folks at Potbelly corporate take customer feedback fairly seriously. Their attention coupled with Jimmie John's and Subway sort of sucking has moved them back to the top of my "need a quick sandwich from a national chain" batting order. Now to be honest privately owned sandwich places and even local chains are my preference but Potbelly is now in the mix even though it's sort of like bragging about being the smart kid in the dumb row when you're merely better than the other major sandwich chains. After my Yelp review and the feedback form sent to us since we ordered on line we were contacted by several members of the Chicago management team. They were polite and apologetic. They asked for some details to verify we actually had ordered what we claimed and weren't just professional malcontents trolling for restitution. After we were vetted they told us they would do their best to ensure our terrible experience wasn't repeated. In a few days we received a generous package of coupons to have another meal at Potbelly. We took them up on it... although this time we went ahead and picked it up. I have to say the food is pretty good. I love that massive pickle and the sandwich is a solid not bad sans the massive amount of spite mayonnaise that was applied to my first sandwich. They also gave us a couple of free milkshakes which I hadn't tried before. And just like Vincent Vega, I have to say that's a pretty good fuckin' milkshake. I don't know if it's worth five dollars but it's pretty fucking good.

Potbelly makes great sandwiches and I had yet to be disappointed until my most recent trip. HOWEVER, This is a rare instance where a restaurant went out of its way to make it right. Ordered a sandwich to go with many toppings. Opened it at the house.... only tomatoes. I was not happy since that potbelly is about 20 minutes away with traffic. Called up to simply inform they messed up my order and the manager immediately asked what I was supposed to get and drove over my now correct sandwich himself at no charge. Customer service at its finest!

We stopped in while out shopping. Had a quick lunch. The sandwiches were fine and the soup I brought home for mom was good too. I used to go to Potbelly many years ago when they opened the first shop. I was in love with the sandwiches back then. Times and tastes change. I'm not in love anymore, but I still like them from time to time.

I ordered a pizza sandwich with no meat. Unwrapping, I was very dismayed to see it was heavy with MUSHROOMS, the worst of all "vegetables" (did you know it's a FUNGUS?) In a huff I brought it back. (Who the f*ck eats mushrooms? Bleh. Stop!) The guy politely obliged to make me another without mushrooms, though at first seemed confused. After a few moments of smugly waiting I realized I was a complete idiot and mushrooms were on the menu. I apologized profusely and the girl who was also working thanked me for acknowledging it. We had a good laugh about how stupid customers can be and all was well. They made me a sandwich, were nice about it after I was *kind* of a dick, and even managed to thank ME. So, while I'm rarely impressed by Potbelly's, their sub-par vegetarian option food went down with a smile. 5 stars for service!

Love this place and the food.....but today I had a very unpleasant experience with one member of the staff - a mid aged male with a bald head and small goatee. He rushed me through the checkout and was rude to me. I almost lost it and eventually had to ask someone else to check me out. Real bummer!

Its hard to truly find a good decent spot for a good sub bite... well if you ever come across a Potbellys you should definitely step inside. The service is always quick and the food is always fresh and delicious. If you want something nice and filling with good meats - try either the wreck or italian and you will not be disappointed!

Ok so I loooooooooooooooove the Pizza Sub and am happy they finally include it with Pepperoni instead of making us pay for it. The employees were super nice and kept pickin on me, cracking jokes. I had fun in line. The only thing is damn, $7.50 for a sanwich and iced tea? A little too pricey for me...

The food here is good but no better that any other Potbellys. They are so slow slow. I came in and ordered a sandwich and a shake and they were so slow. The cashier had to ask 2 or 3 tines about the oreo shake I had ordered she finnaly had to walk over and get it or who knows how long I would have waited.

great staff, always makes me laugh and veeeery seldom gets my order wrong, and if they do they treat it as if i was the president himself and fix it ASAP!! lol love this place

this potbelly's is close to me and it has parking so i decided to go to this 1 instead of my usual at webster, i always get the smoked ham, it just didn't taste good to me. i was quite sad to see that they no longer carry iced tea and they have a new fountain drink station. it has certainly changed. the only thing that remains good is the chocolate shakes.

I mean, I've always been impressed with Potbellys sandwiches the same way I'm impressed with Quiznos sandwiches or toasted Subway sandwiches. They are tasty and will fill me up in a lunch-time kind of way, but aren't anything spectacular. Most of you already know the types and quality of food to expect at this establishment, so I won't go into the gratuitous details (probably incorrect word choice) but this review is mostly about THIS Potbellys Sandwich shop. I went in here last Saturday after my hair cut (I was looking really good) and after I finally batted away the last of the women offering me their phone numbers, I made my way into Potbellys for a quick bite to eat. Now, I've always been impressed with the energy in most Potbellys sandwich creators. No matter which restaurant I go in, they always seem to have this above-average infatuation with sandwich meat. It's kind of weird, but it's something I enjoy when going to a Potbellys restaurant. This restaurant had a serious lack of sandwich meat infatuation. Don't get me wrong, they were fine but they were talking behind the counter for most of the ordering process and, with me being the only person in line, I would have thought they would have used team effort to get me in and out of the door. I ended up waiting a little longer than usual for my sandwich (which tasted as I expected). All in all, the food quality was satisfying, but the service and overall experience could use a little sumthin' sumthin'. Might have just been a slow Saturday. Who knows.

First, let me say that I love Potbelly. I ordered a meatball sub today, and it was delicious. My reason for giving a lower review is because the three people at the checkout were all focused on making one ice cream sandwich. None of them greeted us, acknowledged us, not even looked at us. The place was moderately busy, and the food prep line was clearly in action. There was no excuse for poorly handling the last impression a customer will have of the restaurant. Now, I am sure it was just a fluke which is why I will still continue to eat here. I also recommend Potbelly to others. I just wish that the staff will recognize the need for a tighter grip on professionalism.

Dearest Potbelly, I'm trying not to hate. I'm really not. I mean, my girlfriend likes you, and I like a good malt shake once in a while, but I just can't understand why anyone would want to eat your nasty food. Maybe this is a vegetarian issue. You have one veggie sandwich and it tastes like death. Or at least it makes me want to die when I eat it. Really, it's just processed cheese and half warmed mushrooms. Is that all you can do for me? I kind of feel sick every time I eat one of these, but I eat them anyway because that's the only option you have for me, and I tend to bend to my beloved's whim on nights she wants a tuna sandwich and a cream soda, even though I know I'll be saddened by my dining experience. Oh, well. At least you listen when I say I want extra malt powder. Your employees try, Potbelly. It's just that corporate doesn't. I mean, you have 800 different veggies, couldn't there be at least two sandwiches I could eat on the menu. You know you're doing pretty poorly when I'd choose subway over you 90% of the time. They only have two veggie options, but at least they don't feel slimy going down. I assume we'll meet again sometime in the future, Potbelly. You have sandwiches, and I have a girlfriend who likes them. I guess that means I'm stuck with you. Too bad.

Does it seem like there's a Potbelly or Chipotle within a four-block radius no matter where you are on Chicago's north side? Yeah, there is. And there's a Chipotle next door to this Potbelly. Decisions, decisions. Ah, but the Potbelly sandwiches here are great. Nice location in a strip mall with a few other interesting restaurants and shops.

This was my first visit to this particular location, but I have always been a fan of Potbelly's. I always get a turkey sub on wheat. The veggies are fresh and the sandwiches are made to order. The oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are amazing and are always fresh. Sometimes they are fresh out of the oven and still warm. Many locations also have live music on Saturday afternoons.

I love potbellys especially their chicken salad sandwich. Today I stopped by for a quick bite and I was disappointed at how my sandwich was made. The girl literally globbed on the mayo which threw my sandwich way off! Not sure what was going on with the workers today but I didn't even get a receipt. Not sure I will be back to this location .

For the vegetarians out there try the "Vegetarian" sandwich. Not to be confused with the "Mediterranean Veggie" sandwich. Yes, they are two different sandwiches but only one is actually shown on the menu. Confusing I know but just trust me. The vegetarian is filled with veggies and hot peppers, so good! The staff is nice and the sandwiches are tasty!

I want to start this with I love Potbelly's. That being said, I hate hate hate this location. The staff is extremely rude. I get that you guys are busy but take that as a good sign and put a damn smile on your face. They rush you through, without giving you a few seconds to look at the menu. Maybe I want to try something different? I think I heard, "is that it? You want something else?" in a jersey-like tine like 5 times in the first 2 minutes I was there. I was like damnn give me a sec. When I ordered my sandwich, I got to the girl who puts all the condiments on it and I said I want everything but peppers and mayo. I paid and went out to my car to eat since this place only has like 5 tables total and they were all full. When I bit in I felt the burn of the peppers.....From this one bite I had the worst acid reflux for the entire day. I have an extremely sensitive stomach when it comes to spicy things. When I brought the sandwich inside to have it remade I was promptly turned down because the girl said I asked for everything and they didn't have time to make another because they were busy. So not only did I not eat lunch, I felt like vomiting and had heart burn all day because of my sandwich.

I like this location, I'm a creature of habit I always order the Italian, I like it without mortadella, and I ask them to leave it off and give me extra salami instead. At this location it's never been a problem, they happily take my order and make me a sandwich just the way I want it. Thanks, great transaction. When I've gone to other locations, it seems to be a difficult request to process, they respond with, we can leave off the mortadella, but can't double the salami or some combination of a snarky expression and audible sigh as if I requested some type of gourmet meal requiring Alinea talent. What confuses me about the whole thing is that on one side of the counter, it can't be done, while just steps away there's a board with about a dozen fixing which you chose from. I guess working that side must be several pay grades up? In any event, at least I know I can get what I want.

Not bad.. A bit on the mediocre side as far as flavoring of food tastes...A bit on the pricey side for me..

I have to say, that it takes a lot for me to give a sandwich shop five stars, but their customer service deserves it. I come here with some regularity and they are always so kind, so helpful, and serve a damn good sandwich! I'm going to find out the names of the particularly helpful folks and give an update, but between the delicious sandwiches and the good service, I would recommend this location without hesitation.

  • Steve M.

The only issue with this location is the parking lot which can get really crowded during lunch time and on the weekends. The line is usually not that long and the sandwiches are just like all the other potbellys.

    (3)
  • Tom D.

Oh hush you guys, this one is just as good as any other Potbelly's.

    (4)
  • Julia C.

Pretty quick, and you know exactly what you're getting. No surprises here. Don't even attempt the parking lot - you'll circle for at least 10 minutes, give up and just park on the street a half block down. Aim for the street parking off the bat, and you'll cut your time here in half!

    (3)
  • Claudia L.

good sandwiches, fast service, love that there's a parking lot. Sat here for a couple hours doing some work and the place stayed pretty quiet and no one bothered me. All in all, a good stop for dinner when you're feeling lazy.

We like going here for a quick bite when out running errands. It's fast, it's consistent, the toppings are customizable and it's pretty tasty. I enjoy the toasted Italian sub. I wish they had oil and vinegar for it, but it's definitely a step up from Subway. Great for kids, convenient and affordable. We like dining in when they have the acoustic musician playing too! Nice touch. I keep meaning to try the salads because they look really good, but then I smell the sandwiches and I change my mind.

  • Brian M.

Wreck, Italian, and Turkey sandwich are all pretty good at Potbellys and make for a good quick, cheap meal. I recently tried the new grilled chicken and cheddar sandwich, definitely worth getting, it's a good plain sandwich if you are looking for chicken. One thing that Potbellys have going for them over the other fast food sandwich chains, is their hot peppers and pickles stand above the rest, even though I recommend getting the peppers on the side so the oil doesn't drench your sandwich, they are damn good and one reason I continue to go here on a regular basis.
