Solid Potbelly. The people are friendly and run it efficiently. I haven't had my order messed up yet. It's a small store so don't expect to find much seating. And just saying it to get it out there: Be ready to be hit up by a homeless man outside asking you for help for lunch. If you give him a sandwhich, he'll thank you, watch you walk away, and then put it in a grocery bag that he keeps all the other sandwiches other people gave him. Usually it's quite a few and he's there every single day. Just saying.

Think of this one like a Potbelly's express. There are a few tables, but its best for takeout. These guys are super efficient during the lunch rush, and these pros don't need any fancy handheld computer order taker. There's no room for it, but don't be discouraged as the line moves quickly. PS those sugar cookies are addictive, proceed with caution. Entrance on S Franklin. Side-step the "Workin' on lunch here, guys" Streetwise vendor.

I am not sure what all the hype is about this place. People were telling me how delicious their sandwiches were. Talk about disappointment when I picked up my extra meat sandwich and it was not even close to a deli sized portion. In my mind its only one step above a Subway. The sandwiches are skimpy and the meat is all processed. Their only saving grace is the friendly service, the "Big" dill pickle, shakes, and the loaded baked potato soup. I don't think I'll be heading back here anytime soon unless I have a hankering for a shake.

This slender rectangular highrise by the firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill gets attention for its attractive stretch of stained glass wall along the street level of its Franklin Street facade. It has the look of a large version of a Frank Lloyd Wright window. Potbelly's makes a great "wreck" sandwich, but eat it when it's fresh and toasty.

I like having a shake here, but I say that only because there's little that can be said that is different from the other locations. Potbelly is sweeping the country with its inexpensive brand of tasty sanwiches, relaxed atmosphere, etc.

Great sandwiches (including vegetarian options), fair prices, and friendly staff.

This is the closest Potbelly's to my work and where I go almost every day to pick up a sandwich for my boss or myself. My boss must love their tuna or something because he eats here literally 4 days a week sometimes 5. I personally enjoy their turkey or Italian variety. The staff is always super friendly and whenever I call in a phone order its always hot and waiting for me when I get there 5 minutes later. It can get pretty packed around lunch time so I highly recommend the phoning ahead option.

Potbelly's is my favorite chain sandwich shop. Enough said!

We arrived and there was a line out the door, but seating available inside once you ordered so we went anyway. The line moved very quickly and we got seats (apparently a lot of business people grab theirs to go). I ordered the BBQ sandwich on white sub bread. This BBQ was very very spicy, and I would not recommend getting a sandwich for a kid. It burned my mouth and my stomach but BOY was it good. It was so good that I went back another time before we left Chicago. This is a must try for cheap eats and there are plenty of them around Chicago.

Pretty decent sandwich shop. It's a local chain. My sandwich was made quickly but was disappointingly small in comparison to most other sub shops. Good quality ingredients though

The people here are friendly and fast. The dream bars are great and the sandwhich ingredients aren't bad. For a chain sub place its pretty good, however, most of their stuff is really plain jane so why pay 7 dollars for something you can make at home? I shed tears knowing people pay 7 bucks for a pb&j...

What can I say? I'm a fan. A dedicated fan of Potbelly's Sandwich Shop. Solid sandwiches every time. This particular location is faster than average I think. I work right next door and I'm in and out within 10 mins during the lunch hour rush. The only thing that holds up the line are the newbies that have never been to a Potbelly's before; they should be banned entry until they've completed some sort of online course teaching them how to order. Pros: -Fast service -Neatly made sandwiches -Service with a smile -Organized -Clean Cons: -Small venue -Lines tend to be out the door due to size of location (sucks during the winter)

This place is SMALL! I recommend not going to this location unless you are getting food on the go! There are only about four or five places to sit. The line is alway long, but the move it through quickly. If you don't want to wait, order ahead by phone or online. The best part - They always serve you a consistent product. You know what you are going to get when you go here to eat. GOOD FOOD.

I stopped here to try a sandwich and I got the chicken and cheddar on white. It was toasty and tender and tasty and delicious. No sides or anything and it was a solid lunch. Def go back.

This potbelly's is great. The line moves extra fast and if it's near the door, they take orders on their tablets for a faster process. 5 stars for that qt 3.14 with tats that works the register Also, that homeless guy outside is ANNOYING. Dude go away, you've been there for the last 3 years, every day.

Turkey with Swiss on White, oil, Italian seasoning, lettuce, tomato, onion, hot peppers. Low Fat Strawberry and Banana Smoothie. Life is good! I've have so many bad sandwiches at other places, when you consistently get a great one you become sandwich obsessed. If you've not been to Potbelly your missing out on a great experience!

I used to LOVE Potbelly's. It was what I most looked forward to when going back home to Chicago (in addition to my mom's home cooking). But lately I've been trying to eat better and while Potbelly's does have some somewhat healthier options, most of their food is pretty bad for you. That being said, I still love it. :) I went there for lunch yesterday and got the original-sized Wreck without cheese and with whole wheat bread which probably made it 2% healthier than what I would have gotten in the past (large Wreck with cheese and white bun).
