The chicken's good, but not I've been to better locations. The red beans and rice were sort of bland-ish. And the size of the pieces weren't all that. Flavor wise though, it's not bad. The one thing that was really on point? The biscuits. I really want to order seafood from the menu sometimes, but I stick to the chicken because I'm in the Midwest and I can get better quality seafood back home in Houston. It's in a decent spot. If I come here for lunch and sit facing the window, there is always something going on. You'll see an interesting bunch of people. I have to say, though, that it's weird that there's no public restroom.

DON'T EAT FROM HERE. This Popeyes served up some chicken strips that were undercooked and a bloody mess. Went back to the restaurant and talked with the manager, and then he told me that he would not offer a refund because I ate the two GOOD chicken strips that were in the order. A pic is attached of what they served me. Good news is I used my card to pay so I absolutely WILL be getting my money back, and I filed a complaint with the Health Department.

Same as Marcel.. It's Popeyes, it's in the loop, nothing special to see here.

This review is more about the service than the food and it should have been done months ago. My visit was 11-17. I was in a pinch. I needed something to bring to a work function and it was close to 9 p.m. After trying numerous places in and near the Loop, I remembered this spot. I called like 10 minutes before closing and the manager was very pleasant and accomodating. He told me to come and he'd be sure to have what I needed. I get there and true to his word, he is able to fill my somewhat large order. He and his staff were quite gracious about it. I try to never go anywhere when it's near closing time because never once did they give me verbal or body language about it. I really appreciated that. So thank you very much! I won't forget it!

I regret not looking up the reviews for this place before coming here. On their website it said that they had a 4.99 special for butterfly shrimp, fries and biscuit. I walked down here from school in the cold because I was craving for some sea food and didn't want to hurt my wallet as well. When I arrived, I was told by a worker, not sure if it was the manager due to him wearing a button down shirt, that the deal on their website does not apply to them because they are a "downtown" location. (huh?) I was explaining that I wanted something small that cost less than 6 bucks. Then he recommended to get something from their side menu. I was disappointed because what I was given was 2 dried up pieces of chicken and a stale biscuit. Not coming back here again!!

Beware they do not accept any coupons as of 2/16/2015. When I showed my coupon they just straight told me they don't take it. From what I understand it's up to the store that decide to take coupons or not, as the coupons printed valid at "participating" locations, implying this one is not participating in the promotion. Therefore, I wouldn't blame them as they don't like customers to pay less. I do get a lot of Popeyes coupons from the newspaper, and that is essentially why I eat at there, so I just move on and give my business to another Popeyes store that does take coupon, since there are plenty in Chicago.

Better than the other Popeye's in the loop. The staff was actually pretty nice to me, and the chicken was good. I didn't even get yelled at once.

When a place is open for business, that should mean it is fully open with all of its facilities and everything on the menu available. I arrived on a Thursday night, 45 minutes before closing time. I was told that I could not sit down and eat my meal, it had to be take-out. Then I was told that no spicy chicken was available, I would have to take mild. This is no way to run a business. Yes, I bought a meal, went outside, sat on the curb and ate it. But I learned my lesson. If you are in the Loop, go to the Popeye's in the Ogilvy Transportation Center, 500 West Madison. They are open until 10:30, 90 minutes longer than the semi-Popeye's on north Wabash, and there is always plenty of room to sit and enjoy the meal.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS POPEYES. Horrible customer service. Had a delivery order with 4 combos. They did not add the side or drink to one combo. We also ordered spicy strips, but they seemed to be mild and I specifically asked for sauce packets but they were not in the deliver, nor were napkins or silverware. Called to let them know only about the missing sides, and all they did was say "yes we did put the items in". Well it was not in the bag. This went on for sometime, there was no offer to replace the items or refund any money even though we did not get our side and drink! Then they talked about how they are sending me video footage of them packing the bag to me email.... um.. ok. What does it mean if I do not have them in my bag?!!! Also, how do you prove that was my order. Either way no video was emailed... and that's totally unprofessional. It's not even that much, but seriously those are the little things you look forward to with your meal. Never experienced worse customer service. Called corporate on his a** tho. Just do not go here.. There's probably another popeyes not too far from you anyways.

Typical Popeyes but they filled my cup to the top with ice. I had the spicy chicken and was thirsty. I had a sip and ran out; refills are$.95. Really? I'd pay for the drink with a little ice, but not a cup of frozen water.

A greedy popeyes, $1 for refills, everyone else has free refills besides the worst tasting popeyes chicken around. Go elsewhere,

First legit time having popeyes. It was typical chain, greasy fried chicken - nothing special about it. We had a coupon from online we used and they honored it with no problem. They also explained to us what the coupon entails. filling lunch for $9 between 2 people. Small space - it's combined with a hot dog joint.

Nothing has changed about this place. The manager is not only rude but a fat lair as well.

The chicken was fine, but the employees were quite rude. I didn't catch their names, but for my first Popeye's experience, they didn't have to act like I was an idiot for not being aware of what sauces came with their chicken, or whether or not they had iced tea! I was under the impression they served Louisiana Iced Tea, but apparently not, and -clearly- it was my fault for not already knowing that. It wasn't even rush hour, but they were trying to get me to rush my order as though they had something better to do.

Employes were rude, gave my order to some else and made me wait even longer! As I waited the chatted on the phone, and with each other. It's fast food. Just fry my chicken. Never coming back to this location. I am giving this place a one star, and that being kind.

Ugh. Every once in a blue, blue moon I need some chicken nuggets from popeyes for lunch. Paired with red beans and rice and a biscuit is just fine when the craving hits, thank you very much. But this one disappoints me every single time I walk in the door. 1) Its busy. Cramped in with Gold Coast Dogs, and lots of loop folks on their lunch break like me, its busy. And MAN do I feel rushed all the time. 2) Its Dirty. I just feel like everything in this place is grimy as hell. Seriously- I don't know why, but I always want to touch as little as possible and get a squirt of hand sanitizer on the way out. I need to buy a mini bottle of that stuff. 3) BAIT AND SWITCH. So, this has happened to me not once, not twice, but 3 times- I order the 6 piece nugget meal. It's $5.29, according to the board. It always rings up as $5.99. (the 9 piece nugget meal) Today, I alerted the manager to the problem. I have this funny feeling that this is not going to change, though. Check your receipts here, guys. 4) I took my order to go today. Got back to the office- no napkins. No spork for the beans/rice. No butter or honey for the biscuit. (I asked) BOO. And they always fold the bag in at the top? huh? I will come back- I have to. It's the closest Popeyes in the loop to my office. And when a girl needs chicken, a girl needs chicken. But I couldn't suffer this on a regular basis. Buyer beware...

Well I love Popeye's Red Beans & Rice but this location has horrible food. the red beans and rice was running and had an acidic smell and taste. the fries were dried up, burnt and possibly refried after sitting out for a while. the only good thing was the new chicken... i will wait til i get back to the southside over to 35th & king drive or 47th & cottage to order popeyes...

This is not a good Popeye's. Or maybe Popeye's in general sucks. But the chicken was dry and the tenders were so tough that it hurt my teeth. It's like a dog chewing on a treat. I'm sorry, but I wouldn't even give this to a homeless guy. Go find a KFC instead or just don't do it at all.

It's a popeyes that's neither worse of better than any other popeye's I've been to, save for the pricing, which is a tad on the high side. Fairly good chicken, but if you want great chicken, check out Micky's on Clark for some bitchin chicken fingers and wings and the Harold's near Columbia for everything else chicken-related. There's also a JJ Fish and Chicken on Adams.

The Chicken here is always hot and fresh. Much better than the other locations I been to. Plus they're in the same spot as a Hot Dog place!

It's the Popeye's in the Loop that stays open latest, and always has a lot of traffic. They don't accept newspaper coupons - the cashier pointed to an obscure posting on the wall stating that they stopped accepting them as of February 2011.

It's the only Popeye's in the loop that is easy to (illegally) park next to and is open semi-late (8:30PM, by loop standards). The chicken had meat and was crispy. So, that was good. I've been to other Popeye's with all skin chicken, no meat. It shared space with Gold Coast Hotdogs. I'll go back again when we need some cajun cravings... better than fried chicken at dominick's or KFC.
