Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for High Cholesterol

Keep your pizza intake to one slice to avoid high cholesterol intake while you dine at Pizza Hut. Skip Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice as it contains a high amount of fat and the sodium levels are also very high. Avoid the desserts section completely to limit the fat and sugar intake. You can also limit yourself from ordering non-veg pizza and skip adding sides or dressing on your orders to ensure that your cholesterol is in check while dining at Pizza Hut.

Food arrived on-time but cold and poorly made. I ordered two medium pizzas and one was OK but the second had half of the necessary cheese and sauce. There were huge patches of crust (in the center of the pizza) with no sauce or cheese. And considering it was one of the "lovers" pizzas, you would have thought it would have a decent amount of the other ingredients, but no, nothing. Back to Dominos I go....

I never expect amazing things from Pizza Hut, but I've always preferred them over Dominos. Thing is, almost every time I order the delivery gets here nearing the 30-minute mark. That's annoying sometimes when I'm hungry and waiting, and even worse considering I don't live that far away from the location. But like I said, it's not as if I expect amazing quality from a place like this.

My boyfriend ordered a BBQ Chick. Pizza from here & it was delicious. Im so pleased with the changes they have made.

Horrible I have been waiting two hours for my delivery and it has yet to arrive. I even called them and asked what happened with my delivery she stated that he was leaving out that was 30mins ago and I only live down the street. If I could give them 0 stars that would be wonderful!

They don't answer the phone and I all I wanted to know was why have a app and place an order and 3 hours later trying to call just to see it went through

Simply awful. I placed an order at 3:00. Called at 3:10 to confirm receipt of the order (it was there) and to make sure that the delivery driver would be informed that my front door buzzer was broken. I received a delivery estimate of 4:30 - perfectly reasonable. 4:30 came and passed. At 5:30 I attempted to call them in order to check up on my order - I was left on hold for what felt like forever. I kept calling back (this time, to cancel my order) but no one picked up. I even called the Pizza Hut order-placing line and explained to them what happened - they were very nice. They were unable to cancel my order but attempted to forward me through to the South Shore location.... who again, did not pick up their phone. Finally, the woman recommended just told me to refuse the pizza if it ever came. I didn't get through to them on the phone until 8:00 - FIVE hours after I placed my original order. The guy who picked up was unsurprised that I wanted to cancel my order and unapologetic. I don't see the point in yelling at people over the phone, and he clearly didn't get what the problem was, so I hung up. Order here at your own risk!

Yikes! I think the owner may have read these reviews and made some significant changes. I ordered two pizzas today (one from their "new recipes" menu). I conservatively ordered a standard pizza with a salted pretzel crust. I individually love pretzels and pizza - right? Why not have them make the sex? Maybe because its spawn's salt content was stroke inducing - seriously. After trying to scrape tiny bastard salt pellets off the crust for 20 minutes, which inevitably landed on the rest of the pizza and made it inedible, I phoned Pizza Hut just to let them know although, realistically, I expected little in return. The manager on duty was very pleasant. She listened and was appropriately responsive. I hung up the phone thoroughly satisfied with our exchange and I'll continue to order from the Stony Island store. On a high note, the cherry pepper bombshell pizza (sans the swine) is omg, high-fiving the angels good.

Look, I get that Pizza Hut isn't 5 star cuisine, but it'd be super if I even got a chance to eat it tonight. I'm hung up at my place with an injured foot and my boyfriend is helping pack, so I decided to order delivery. I ordered online and it said after it was placed that it would be 1.5 hours with delivery at 830pm. Ok, well that's a quite a wait for something two miles away, but I can't really get anywhere, so ok. 840 rolls around figure I'd check on the status. I was told the delivery driver was already out and would be there soon. Great, we're starving. 9pm rolls around. Nothing. Call again. Manager says they're out and should be there soon. Would apply a $10 credit to the next order. Uhhh ok, but how does this help me now? Fine. Would be nice just to know where this person is. 920 comes. We are pissed. Seriously, I could have walked there and back on my busted leg faster. Angry I got delivery now. Boyfriend calls for the 3rd time and tells them to forget it, don't bother anymore. This was after being on hold for over 5 minutes. 2.5 hours for one large pizza that never even arrived is actually so ridiculous I'd laugh if I wasn't so hungry at the moment. Get your game together at this location, guys. This was completely absurd. To all others: I'm sure there's a Dominos close by instead.

I ordered for delivery online around 4:30-5 pm yesterday. They say it'll be here around 8:30 pm. I was like that's a long time but I waited until 7 and called to see what happened to my order. They said they came and no one answered. First of all, they were supposed to call first, second they didn't come to my house cause I didn't here no doorbell or anything. They tell me they'll come back out in a few minutes so I said okay. I wait another hour and they said they should be on they way so I was like okay ummm it's not that far. Then I call a third time and someone different answers and said that it'll be a 3 hr wait cause it's one delivery driver but I ordered mine at 4 pm and it's almost 9!!! I told the to just cancel it cause there's no telling what they could've did with it by now. I was so disappointed. I'm ordering from a different one for now on. And the lady on the phone should've told me it's a 3 hour wait!!!

Since my last review this place has really gotten their act together. Everything is always fresh and done on time and they never slack on the toppings! I'm not sure who is back there making the pizzas but they are doing a fantastic job not to mention they always have a deal.

I don't even want to give them 1 star. The worst experience ever. I have never experienced such an unprofessional business. I soly ordered 1 pizza and a dessert. After waiting a complete hour, I called and after being on hold for 5 minutes they said the driver is close. I then waited another 30 minuets and nothing. I called again and of course on hold another 5 minutes. They said my driver was supper close and will be here momentarily. Well another 30 minutes passed and nothing. I was so upset and finally my driver showed up. I took the pizza and it was stone cold!!!! Everything was cold as the winter day. I called with the driver at my door and was on hold 10mins outside freezing and they said I could have my money back but I have to give the food back too. Are you serious! They offered a credit. I demanded a discount immediately. The driver refused and had the worst attitude, he tried to take the food from me. Never will I order from there again! Horrible!

I've been here twice for pick up pizza, the first time..the cashier wasn't friendly was acting a little rude and obscene, to be honest. And when we took the pizza home, it tasted nothing like 'pizza hut' pizza. Highly disappointed. The second time, we ordered take out again, and this time it was a different cashier, very nice and friendly. This time the pizza was just the way it's suppose to be. Tasty! So i guess all in all its a hit or miss with this location! Or maybe try number 3 will do the trick. Who knows. Till i yelp again...

I don't like Pizza Hut pizza, has some kind of after taste. I specifically went in there to get some chicken wings. Ever since they merged with Wing Street they have some of the best Buffalo Wings I've ever tasted! Problem is they don't offer enough variety. Is it that difficult to offer salads and pasta? Just to round things out. But they get these 3 stars for the glorious wings!

Oh dear. Where to begin? First off, yes Pizza Hut is not great food, but I don't order it because it's great. I order it because I need a quick, inexpensive pizza. It is perfect if that is what you are looking for. This location has been consistently bad. I've ordered from them a dozen times over the past 2 years I'd say, and every time, there is something wrong with my order. Items are missing, the food is cold, or, frankly, it arrives looking like it got dropped several times. My experience on 10/31/14 takes the cake though. For starters, I expected that on Halloween night, pizza delivery would take a while, but I was prepared to wait. I ordered a pizza through the Pizza Hut website at about 6:50 p.m., got a delivery time of 9:50 p.m.. No big deal, really. The pizza arrived a little before 9:50 p.m., but when I got it back to my apartment, I discovered that I had been sent the wrong pizza. So, naturally, I called the store. I was on hold for 20 minutes before anyone picked up the phone. When they finally did, the line was so staticky that I could not hear the person, and that person hung up on me. I called back and spent another 15 minutes on hold. The first person I talked to had no idea how to help me, so she got the manager. The manager (whose name I didn't catch) was extremely nice, offered to send the correct pizza back out immediately, but said it would still probably be an hour, just because of how back up they were. I said that was fine. This was at about 10 p.m.. 12:40 a.m. rolled around and still no pizza. The store was closed at this point, but I did receive a call from the manager again that my order had gone out, but the delivery driver had been pulled over by the police and would not be delivering my pizza. She said to call back the next day (today, November 1) and my correct order would be sent out, no charge. So I called back today, and was again put on hold for 20 minutes before anyone picked up. I talked to three different people, but finally got my correct order placed. I was then put back on hold, where I will assume I was forgotten about because when someone finally picked up, they gave their opening "Thanks for choosing Pizza Hut" spiel. I told them who I was, and they said my order was put in. For pick up. I corrected the person, that no I was told it would be delivered, and she informed me that their delivery was so backed up that they weren't accepting delivery orders. This is unacceptable on a number of levels, and it sucks that they expect me to go to the trouble of driving to the store to pick up food that they were supposed to deliver. I finally talked to another manager who said it would be delivered, but the wait again was 2-3 hours. Bottom line: always expect to wait 20 minutes on hold if you call them, and 2-3 hours for your food to be delivered, no matter what time of day you order. This location is clearly understaffed, and as a result, under performs. I appreciate all the efforts of the manager to rectify the situation, but there are better places for cheap, fast pizza, and I will not be ordering from this location in the future.

I have been waiting on my small order for over 2 hours. I live exactly 2 minutes away. I will never order from this location again. Every time I call the cashier says "He's 5 min away". So upset right now.

I'd recommend eating something, perhaps a ham sandwich or a 4 course meal, immediately after ordering from this Pizza Hut because chances are you will have had time to savor and fully digest that meal before the pizza even arrives.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
