Americanized Chinese Fast Food You come here expecting greasy, fried, mediocre Chinese food and that's what you get. Unfortunately, it's something you crave and vowing never to come back ... it's the orange chicken. While every other lunch joint in the area is packed at during the weekdays, you'll rarely find a line here - this location is clean and service is fast. I guess if you're short on time or just craving miserable Chinese food - here's the place to come.

You get what you pay for. Panda is my fall back option when I'm indecisive about a quick weekday lunch. I always get the same thing and it's a safe option - tofu and veggie bowl. Moral of the story, don't hate.

Although I agree that this is Americanized Chinese food, I like some of their dishes. Their restaurants are usually clean and spotless and the food if pretty consistent. The only complaint I have is that if you go during the slow period, they tend to not monitor what dishes are running low. It seems like every time I go in to order Beijing Beef I have to wait 10mins for them to whip up a batch simply because they ran out. I suppose its better than being served food that's been sitting under the warmer for a while, but I believe this is one of their more popular selection so it doesn't sit very long.

If you like Americanized, homogenous food, go to Panda Express. Indulge yourself in the fake Chinese food that's been sitting under heat lamps for hours and hours. I don't understand how people can frequent this place when there's a pretty good Thai place up the street and strong lunch sushi/Asian offerings nearby. I went here during Thanksgiving week when there was little foot traffic. The meal was so forgettable that I forget that I ate here. The food was downright deplorable-the fried rice wasn't flavorful and tasted dull. I ordered an eggroll and it was burnt and not remotely delicious. My lunch companion's chicken looked like a sticky nightmare and loaded with chemicals. This place works in a pinch if you want Chinese food with no taste and heartburn later. I'll stick to my other offerings nearby where I'm guaranteed quality.

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city.
