This is your perfect, small neighborhood bar. The always clean and casual decor is welcoming whether in the mood for a meal or just a few drinks. The staff is always friendly, and the outside patio is prime location for some people watching along Wells.I love catching their $5 Long Island drink special, although after just 2 those, I should probably be done for the night!

I can't believe this place is only a few blocks away from me and I've never tried it until today. I was craving a greasy lunch today so we headed to Old Town Pub where I've heard only the best about their pizza. I tried the margarita basil pizza and it was exactly the way I like it...thin crust and very good! My one complaint was that it took a while to cook, but most pizza places are like that. My friends tried the paninis as well and said they were great. It wasn't crowded at all and we were seated immediately...they also had plenty of TVs around to watch basketball games.

Great pkace to get a drink and cheap food and people watch in Old Town! Smaller patio but they always have specials and the servers and bartenders are really nice!

I was here during a bulls game & this bartender Lesley was so nice!! She was so nice and fun and the food was amazing!!! I highly recommend this bar any night of the week.... They have comedy one night as well as karaoke another. Had a blast!

It's your friendly neighborhood pub that greatly outshines the other area choices (Corcorans, Wells, McGinnys). If you are in the Old Town area and are craving a burger or pizza and a beer walk straight down Wells to Old Town. Ignore the rest of the bars that may try and sway you from your quest to OTP. You won't be disappointed.

Today being one of the first warm days of the year, the only thing on my mind was a decent meal consumed on a patio. Old Town Pub was uncrowded and looked cheap, which seemed like possible plusses. The waitress was unfriendly, but we ordered a couple of Long Islands right when we sat down... which never came. She brought me a diet soda instead of regular, a huge pet peeve of mine. We only saw her about once every 10 minutes despite the fact that there were only 3 tables with patrons and they were all on the patio. The dessert came out first--a cold, solid "molten chocolate cake" which was about 2 inches in diameter and cost $7. Then came the food, which was less than noteworthy, and the only thing we had to look forward to was the long wait for the check. Several groups of potential patrons gave up before ever seeing the server, and at least one other table almost left but was helped just as they were about to leave. Worst of all, the waitress seemed uninterested and unapologetic for the long waits and poor service. With all the other positive reviews, I might give this place a second chance on another day. Next time I'll stick to drinks.

This place is really nothing special. Just another bar with a decent bar-food menu. That being said I have just had a good experience each time I've been there. The service is always friendly, it's pretty quiet in there, and the food is good. They have tater tots, which I love. I just like coming here, it's comfortable, laid back and friendly.

Do not go here. I needed to kill some time while they were working on my bike at Village Cycle, so I had lunch here and it was fine. Fast forward about three weeks. I'm looking at my credit card statement and I realize that they overcharged my credit card by about $15. There's absolutely no excuse for that crap. And to think, I gave the guy at the bar a pretty decent tip.

Good place to go and chill. Staff is prompt and friendly. Good food specials. Free wi-fi, and a lot of TVs. I sat inside to get some shade on a warm day, but the outdoor patio seems perfect for people watching.

After working a 13 hour day at the Chicago autoshow, a little worn down, me and my boyfriend stopped in here around 11:00pm on a Thursday to grab a drink and some yummy food.(This is a great pub option for anyone who hasn't had the time to put on your finest "night-out" outfit and doesn't want to look like a fish out of water. Weekend's may be a little less casual.) There was a great crowd-a mix of couples sharing drinks and dinner and smaller groups getting together to drink and watch some fabulosity on the ice (winter olympics-men's figure skating-way to go USA!). Someone even had their cute dog hanging out in the bar! This is definately a sweet neighborhood joint that you can feel comfortable either going dressed up or dressed casual if you want to grab a quick drink. The crowd here is good looking but not pretentious. There was an extra drink made at the bar which our waitress gave to us for free! My favorite little pub!

Good low key place to grab a beer in the summer. The pizza and food is fine, definitely nothing special.

In the mood for great hamburgers (with a side of tater-tots)? In the mood for friendly atmosphere? Like a nice place to sit outside and people watch? Then this place has it. Ranks in my top 3 hamburger places in the city. Staff (Tina) very friendly and welcoming. You'll likely see also the red-shirted staff from Village Cycle (next door) wander in or maybe a customer of Village Cycle waiting for their bike to be fixed. I have been here several times and quality is consistently above average. I'm a fan!

  • Sarah B.

Atmospheric, low-key little place with friendly (but quirky) servers. Seemed like only one lady was working the whole joint so we waited awhile for our pitcher of beer and bar food (sliders, jalapeno poppers, spinach dip, etc.). Perhaps we should have tried the pizza, but everything we had was just alright. Can't say I would seek this place out again -- not the best but certainly not the worst.

If you could give half stars I'd give it a 3.5. This is a nice casual neighborhood place. I wouldn't necessarily make this a destination if I didn't live within walking distance, but its a nice place to relax with a cold beer and some tasty food. The specialty pizzas are really good ,but I'd probably skip the calamari (more breading than calamari). The prices are pretty average, and there are decent specials during the week. Bar tenders and servers are friendly, but a a little slow at times. This is my go-to place during the week.

The pizza was quite good, the atmosphere was really cozy, and I liked the assortment of things you can get on the menu (they even have a cheese fondue appetizer). They also have excellent daily specials.. Wednesdays is $2 Coronas. Service was spotty, but the food and atmosphere were enough to make up for that.

Noise... smoke... gross looking food. Sweet barmaids named Ashley full of life and conversation... Service can make up for lots of things!

The food selection wasn't vast but what they had was really good. It's small and a good place to go to watch a game on tv and kill time with friends.

If you live in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in here on any random night. First of all, all weeknights have specials on beer and food, so you're bound to get a deal. Secondly, it's a friendly little place with nice big booths and lots of beer. Their food is always reliable, my favorite of all being the cheese fries from hell. I'm not a fan of cheese fries but these things are addicting. Top that off with their thin crust pizza, and you've got a heart attack waiting to happen. But it's a delicious heart attack, and you've washed it down with a pint, so its ok. :)

What started off as waiting for a female friend to finish her photoshoot turned into a night of drinking, eating, and FREE stand-up comedy. The beer was good, and the grilled chicken salad was crazy good. It was like a party in my mouth and everyone was invited. They also had good deals on canned beers like Cobra, Natty Light, ... you know, the classy beers. Although, I was drinking Rogue and everyone else seems to be drinking wine or mixed drinks. The people housing the cheap canned beer were the different comedians before and after their set. It was two shots and a brew all night long. I can understand, since it takes a lot of courage (and in some cases the liquid form) to stand up in front of strangers and try to make them laugh. Resilience and self-deprecation need to come as naturally as breathing to these guys. So, if you're in Old Town on a Monday at around 8:30pm, then stop in for a bite. They are funny, the staff is very friendly, and it's FREE. Heck, if you're an aspiring comedian, then maybe this is a place that might let you get a set in to try out your material and hone your chops. Mind you, these were professional comedians and it was not an open-mic sort of thing, so if mgmt does agree, then you're probably looking at pro bono work. But hey, you have to start somewhere. p.s. the person next to me got the thin crust pizza and said it was very good. Also, I heard the sliders are good, but I didn't try them.

great place, totally unpretentious, and good food to boot. Try the old town pub pizza -- no disappointments. Wait staff has always been great!

Our waitress was a bit out of it and kept on darting off when we would ask something from her. I don't think I would normally seek out this type of place but it met our "too hungry to find a better place" needs. I will say that their cheese fries are probably the best that I've ever had. Also there was an older couple ballroom dancing to thuggish B96 jams like it was nobodys business. I've never seen the elderly move like that, they were swaying to the jay-z and justin timberlake, talk about sexy back!

I rolled up to the OTP this weekend and the place was rocking out to tune of Fast Car, by Tracy Chapman. Seriously? In a bar? Nothing against Tracy, but that's not the kind of music that makes me want to drink beer. We didn't stay because it was way too crowded and smoky, but it actually seemed like a pretty cool spot for another day.

My friend and I picked up pizza here last night. It was your typical thin crust pizza. The annoying thing is that they told me it would be ready within 30 minutes and 50 minutes later it still wasn't ready. I could understand if it was a busy night for them, but there were a total of 4 people in the whole restaurant. I do like the chill atmosphere here, but the waiters need to stop acting so chill.

My sister took me here for lunch when I was visiting a few weeks ago. I had friends visiting me this past weekend (now that I moved to Chicago) and I took them here for pizza. The pizza is awesome and it's a really cool place because there are so many TVs. I've now asked them on 2 occasions to turn on the Miami Heat game and they do so immediately. Great place!

This place is great. It's just a laid back pizza joint/bar where you can have a great time with a bunch of friends. I would definitely suggest going with a lot of people, or else you could get bored.

I agree with Andrea's review of Old Town Pub. I've eaten here many times and it's one of my favorite places for pizza in Chicago. I don't know a single person who doesn't love Old Town Pub!

My friends and I came here after work and I'm so glad we did! The atmosphere is totally laid back,it was not crowded at all and our waiter was amazing! My friends and I ordered the Mac n cheese, burger and Greek salad. *Greek salad with chicken amazing! Give great portions and chicken is so tender *Burger. ..also amazing and huge! If you're not a fan of cheese ask for little cheese or no cheese because it is piled on Definitely will come back!

Food was decent but the terrible service is what warrants this rating. Upon walking in the bartender and seemingly only person in there didn't greet us for about 2 minutes. Not even a hello. Our drinks were empty for the majority of our meal, never offered refills and spent 90% of her time talking to friends at the bar counter. My guess is this place is probably great for the bar atmosphere...but it is terrible for having a quick bite of lunch at a service table.

Hubs and I are visiting Chicago - flew in last Wednesday and ended up napping after we got to our AirBNB place, so we needed a late night dinner option nearby. And thus we found OTP. The pub was pretty empty (not too surprising for a Wednesday night), so we got our drinks and food really fast. Yay! Wait staff was pleasant, too. The ambiance was decent - a tad divey, but clean and well-lit. We ordered a Greek salad and were pleased to see it came with kalamata olives instead of canned "black" olives. Nice. Also ordered one of the premium pizzas - only complaint was they put so much topping on, it kept falling off the pizza. But hey, that's better than having too few toppings! So even that was kind of a win. It ended up being karaoke night, too. Well played, Universe - that's one of our not-so-guilty pleasures. We sang a few songs with the locals before heading back to our AirBNB. Would come here again if we lived here.

After a night of holiday activities we searched everywhere for a place to grab a bite and a drink with open tables. Old town pub had a table in the back near a large tv so it worked perfectly. We ordered a pitcher of draft beer (great taste and cold) and ordered dinner. I had the stromboli. It was very cheesy and filled with great ingredients. The outside was a bit plain but tasted really good when dipped in the sauce. My boyfriend ordered a buffalo chicken wrap and said it was pretty tasty. The other couple in our group had the pizza. They said it was pretty good but not far above what you'd expect anywhere else in chicago. The place itself was very pub-like (obviously) but could have much better bathrooms. There was a wood slab missing from the bathroom door or what we called... a peephole. Not cool. Other than that it was alright, nothing too fancy by any means but a good place to pop in for a drink and food when no where else is open.

I went here on a Thursday, and the blackhawks were playing and the place was still empty. I swear the back of the bar was just me and the friend I was with. It made it kind of nice because we could hear each other and talk, but at the same time you didn't get that feeling you get when you're cheering for your team in a crowded bar with everyone else cheering for your team! So that's a matter of opinion, what isn't is that they didn't have Miller lite in a bottle. Only had it in a can. Not a fan of can Miller lite. Also the waiter came by like once to see if we needed anything. Which being that both our beers were empty we did. We probably would've drank at least one additional round in the time it took for the waiter to appear. Decent enough place. Id say it'd be a quick stop if you're bar hopping. Nothing overly exciting

I ordered the blackened chicken wrap. When ordering, I asked, "is there mayo on this?" I was told no. Great! The wrap comes out... and guess what? The sauce that is used on the chicken is MAYO-BASED. Umm, that would have been REALLY helpful to know. I was with work colleagues, and in a hurry, so I managed to eat it.. but really - if it's mayo-based, and I ask if there is mayo... please tell me! Thankfully, I really liked the tater tots, and was able to fill up on those. The Diet Coke, however, didn't taste like proper Diet Coke. Either flat or a non-branded version, not sure. What I did like is that there were ample TVs showing the World Cup matches. The service was super attentive - perhaps a little too attentive - but I'd rather have that than non-existent. I'm still annoyed about the mayo.

Took me awhile but finally came back here after a very bad experience a year ago. Only revisited because owner reached out after last review. Although he asked me to tell him when I came back, I did not want any "special" treatment. Happy to say it was definitely a very different experience! 1 - Service was fast and friendly - despite being fairly busy (at least in the area I was sitting), I did not have to wait long for service. May have helped that they had more staff there and it was not as crowded as last time. 2 - Had a burger and it was done well and very tasty. Coleslaw is different - but I really liked it. Some people near me had the chicken tacos and raved about them. 3 - Saw from my visit that there are quite a few regulars here - but I still felt welcome (not like an interloper at all). A good basic pub with laid back crowd. 4 - Prices were VERY reasonable. My overall take - This is not a fancy place but the warm and welcoming atmosphere as well as good prices really made it a good experience. Glad I gave it another try.

Randomly stopped in here one Saturday afternoon to escape the heat and glad we did. Sat at the bar and tossed back a few pints of Anti-Hero and chatted with some local regulars. It's the kind of place that you kinda miss from the old days where people went to a bar to socialize with strangers and not just stare a big screen TV's and ignore everyone (although they do have TV's as well). Staff was very friendly and we met some colorful characters who we could actually see spending more time with. Heck, they even bought us a round and we only knew each other for less than 2 hours. This block of Wells seems to be well on it's way to gentrification but amidst that is a neighborhood gem that I hope can fight back the coffee bars and upscale organic markets that are starting to invade. Stay strong Old Town Pub! We'll be back!

I could easily see myself falling in love with this place. The food isn't great, but it isn't terrible. Haven't tried the pizza though. It's a breath of fresh air from all the snooty places in the neighborhood. Props to the bartender, she was the only person there and she was waiting on the entire place. I will be back!!!

old town pub should be a great bar and an alternative to some of the fancier places in the area, unfortunately it's not. the place is broken in, but it goes a little farther and becomes a bit old/tired. please note i am not referencing the cleanliness, everything seemed okay as that goes. the food was average, not bad, not great. bartenders were cool, but the waitresses not as friendly. walk down a small flight of stairs and the bar is immediately on the left. just a ledge opposite the bar. beyond the bar is a mix of seating. the bar top is a perfectly worn wooden surface with a classic wide rail. perfect for forearms. wooden stools with back support. the bar back is a mix of shelves, bottles, & hdtvs. nothing special or decorative. stamped tile ceiling. an outdoor patio that is good on the warm days & for smokers. other patrons are a mix, but most likely you'll be drinking with someone that's spent some time in a bar. easy conversation. atmosphere is usually more subdued. can get louder for a short time if certain crowds come thru or if a chicago team is playing.

Went here last night and was completely insulted. When I walked in, it was a Sunday night at 10 PM. Not exactly a happening night, there were a small group of people at the bar. The bartender nodded at me, not really saying hello or smiling, walked away, came back with shots for the group. Went to the back. I was still waiting after just that half-greeting. I walked out. I know I'm just one guy. But I'm one guy that has Irish in him and would have spent a decent amount on drinks. If you have more than one person in your group, it might be ok. But if you're just out on town looking for a quick drink (s), forget this bar and it's phony bartender.

Wow, for a place that gets looked over too easily they have some surprisingly tasty pizza! Perfect crust and sauce balance with whatever chosen ingredients. Their beer list isn't the most extensive, but can easily satisfy all tastes as a whole. For all the douchefest bars down the street on Wells, this is a great place to enjoy a decent brew and cozy conversation on a weekend night!

I have never done a review on places ive been then again i have never been so dissatisfied. I even registered to sites ill never use again just to write this review.. The absolute worse food i have eaten. My wife got calamari and it was so over cooked you couldnt chew it..I had a pizza that i believe was made with expired ingredients i ate one slice and felt like throwing it back up on the plate.. Walked blocks back to my hotel and still feel it..i do not recommend this place for any one who likes food and keeping it down.

Not to be confused with Old Town Pour House (chad/trixie) or Old Town Ale House (hippies/hipsters), Old Town Pub is a sleepy little space to go to kick back a few beers and eat some good pub food. I've never seen this place more than 3/4 full, and I prefer it that way. Plenty of TVs, decent beers on tap, and decent food make this the type of place you go to catch up with a friend while wearing sweatpants and no makeup. And no one will judge you for it.

  • Liz L.

The service here was terrible. My 75 year old mother and I waited an hour for a lukewarm pizza and never got the beer I ordered. I get things happen and waitresses/waiters are people too, however, ours was standing in the corner with her boyfriend up until the people at the table next to us asked their waitress to come over and help us because they noticed how long we had been sitting there . Matter of fact, they sat down after us, ate and paid before we were even served. When our tip reflected the service, our waitress stopped us to ask iwhy her tip was so small (I actually left her 7%). When I explained, she got irritated and in my face. Needless to say that was about the worst thing she could have done. I'll spare you the details. Bottomline, terrible experience.

I'm a firm believer in setting the correct expectations before you step into a place. This place is one of those neighborhood bars that just happens to serve food. It's NOT a 5-star restaurant who just happens to serve alcohol. Let's be clear about that right from the beginning. While some have referred to this as a high-end sports bar - it's not. It's a neighborhood bar. NOW - the neighborhood just happens to be in the up-coming and mid-to-high pricey neighborhood of Old Town, so you shouldn't expect $1 draft night. As long as you're good going in with spending a bit higher than an average price for "bar" experience (NOT club, but BAR), then I think you'll have the right attitude going in. Service? Well, to give you some context, it was mid-day on a monday in the middle of winter when we walked in. SURPRISE! We were the only ones in there. And the single person behind the bar looked busy stocking and prepping for the up-coming Monday Night Football impending rush. No problem, we're just two people. How bad could it be. Well, although we were steps from the bar, getting attention and service was a constant chore. To top it off, I unwrapped the silverware and there was chunks of nastiness on the knife. I chased down the employee and he quickly corrected the situation by giving me another fresh wrap of silverware - WITH ANOTHER BIG CHUNK OF STUFF ON IT! (are you kidding me). Okay, now this is starting to get concerning. So again I chase mister enthusiasm down and he brings me another, but this time (properly) waits to see the drumroll process of wrapping this one. ALL GOOD. Phew, okay, maybe now we can eat! Now. The food. I took a picture of the pizza that I ordered. As I normally do, I throw a bit of hybrid together of a couple of "stock" menu items so I can get a good idea of how things taste. The pizza had sausage on it. Stay away from that if you're not into liquidy/greasy stuff. These honkin' chunks of sausage exploded with grease. However, once removed, everything else was fantastic. My wife had a sandwich that was similar - once her sausage was removed, all good. So in all the food wasn't bad for bar food. I'd definitely change the sausage supplier, but all in all, good grub. Atmosphere is cool as it's kind of a brownstone basement kind of vibe. There are some cool aspects to the decor and walls, plenty of TVs, small enough to hang with friends without having to scream, and bathrooms were clean. The service was the real issue here and I chalk that up to no one being there and this one guy trying to use this time to do other things. The food was overall very much as expected for this kind of establishment. So that would have been 4 out 5 had it not been for the liquid sausage. Have fun!

If there was a NO STAR rating that is what I would give this place. Walked in last Saturday and their were two female waitresses that were beyond rude. This place is full of TRAILER trash it's always this way when I go in. Sad because I love across the street and it is easy to access. This place doesn't not fit in, in old town and needs to relocate to Logan square

Old Town Pub is located right on Wells street in Old Town, convenient for me since I live down the street. I have been here a few times and its your typical no frills pub. They have great daily specials and a nice al fresco spot to have some drinks/food outside during the warmer months. I particularly like sitting inside and watching tv but both are good. The spinach artichoke dip is unreal...... literally amazing. I also tried the fire tots which were basically the smallest portion of tots topped with nacho cheese sauce and some salsa mixture. It was a pretty small portion for $6 but what can you do. We bought a restaurant.com gift cert while we were there and saved $15 off our total bill, not bad at all. I'll def be back here again.

I made it into this place for a scheduled social networking event. We had a lot of people, yet it was very comfortable. This is a cozy neighborhood bar with friendly, welcoming staff. What more could you ask for? I used to live in the neighborhood - but never made it in. Now this is just one more reason that I'm sad I don't live around there anymore. But I'll definitely stop in when I'm around there - because it is the kind of place where everybody knows your name. Or at least, they treat you like they do. And that is all that counts. Cheers!

Came here to catch up with a friend, but was the first to arrive. With the decent weather fading, I asked to be seated outside ~ despite the fact that no one else was sitting outside (meaning a server would have to make the extra trip out to my table). They happily obliged and Lesley was my/our server. Lesley made countless trips back and forth to take care of us. She took my water order, then upon her return took my drink order (oops, should have been a better patron and ordered those together), then took my friend's order (who arrived late) - within 15 minutes she had made 7 trips to and from the bar to accommodate our orders. And she did it with such a pleasant and happy disposition. This continued throughout the night ~ even when we weren't in need of drinks, she was routinely checking to make sure we were doing ok. In a world where service is lacking, Lesley stood out like a gem. It was honestly the best service I've had at a bar in a long time. Many thanks to her for adding to a fun night and for taking such good care of us. I will definitely be back with more friends.

My girlfriend and I had our first date here, and we're still together. I'm not saying that Old Town Pub made it all possible, but it certainly didn't hurt. OTP has great appetizers and a decent beer list for fairly reasonable prices. I highly recommend the mac and cheese, but you are unlikely to go wrong with any choice here. The service is fairly quick and the staff is really nice. The atmosphere is a little dark. But it's quiet and relaxed, except for the handful of guys who might show up to watch a sports game. I haven't been during the more crowded hours, but I expect things don't get too crazy. Overall, great food and drinks for a good price. Give it a try.

Rude bartender today around opening time. When asked, "what is Oberon?" he responded "It's a beer." This came after a few other sarcastic remarks, so I finally questioned if that was the answer he intended to give. He blithely said "what do you want me to say?" and I explained that a bit of description would perhaps be in order. After more crustiness, we walked out. Too bad, as the place looked cool.

After shopping in the neighborhood we ducked in to OTP for some lunch and brews. It was pretty dead when we got there, but people started rolling out of bed by the time we left and the bar had become a popular place. Food is standard pub fare. My wife had the veggie pizza and I passed on the tempting bbq, burger, slider options and went with the jerk chicken. They were both good. I wanted the jerk to have more heat, but it was fine. They also have some pretty decent tap selections here as well. Our beverage of choice was the Rogue Yellow Snow, which we had a few rounds of. I haven't seen this IPA since we were in Oregon. Sadly for Kris, her Irish got their butts kicked along with every other decent team this week. That was much to the liking of our Big Ten waitress.

Great bar all around! In fact, my experiences there have been so...normal... that I can't really think of a ton else to say. It's a bar that does exactly what it says it will and it does it well. Beer selection is good, though I wish they had more on tap (lots of interesting bottles though). Decent food too (especially for a bar that's not a "gastropub"). And to echo what another reviewer (Veronica Z.) said - Sara the bartender is indeed awesome! Close to lots of bus lines and the El bust far enough from both the main Old Town "strip" and from the bars at State/Division that the vibe stays very neighborhood-y and relaxed. And in this part of the city, it's hard to say that about many places.

The service was so fantastic I had to rate this place 5 stars. This is a complete whole in the wall dive bar but the people and staff here make it 5 starts. Great Saturday specials! Didn't try the food but the pizza looked great. P.S. No one looked the same! No curly haired girls and no plaid shirt boys!

My boyfriend and I are from Milwaukee. While visiting Chicago last spring we lost our car one evening (like good Milwaukeeans in Chicago). We walked and walked and walked and finally found the lot we'd forgotten it in. So when we later found ourselves hungry and cautiously idling near an open parking spot around the corner of North and Wells, we didn't need to write down the exact latitude and longitude of where we'd left the car this time. Very conveniently, we were able to toddle into Old Town Pub and keep the car in sight. SWEET. We almost didn't go inside, actually, because it was deserted and hardly seemed like a place we'd find dinner for just a few bucks. I'm so glad we changed our minds. We sat down right at the bar. They were running like three drink specials. My boyfriend went to the men's room and I ordered him what I thought he wanted ... turns out I was wrong, which was just fine, 'cuz for the price we just ordered his correct drink on top of the wrong one. Old Town's prices were revealing themselves as a delicious change of pace. Being that we were shameless tourists for the day, we tried their hand-mixed mojitos and bloody marys -- more drink specials. The liquid gold in my bloody mary glass hardly tasted like I should be paying less than $5 for it, I'll tell you that. The bartender was as chill as her bar, and coolly remained that way when people literally started pouring through the front door as soon as we'd placed our order. She suggested we try the hummus since they make it in house -- YES. THEY MAKE THEIR OWN HUMMUS. Or at least they did on the day we were visiting. -- and it was delicate, complicated, and luscious. With shock and awe frozen on our faces, we hungrily licked the plate clean. That's perfectly acceptable behavior in Milwaukee, by the way. Calm down. Our pork chops arrived after our appetizer plates had been magicked away. I don't know what we were expecting when we ordered "dinner special pork chops" at an unfamiliar bar, but we found thick, juicy slabs of pork perfection slammed down on a plate in a way that made it look more like Noah's Ark. We also found bright, oven-roasted green beans, impossibly smooth mashed potatoes (did Jesus himself use a potato ricer on these things?!), and baked FIGS (!!!) as a garnish. Really. Figs. Everything we ordered unintentionally fell into one of their nightly specials, so when our bill arrived, we were MORE than happy passing along some of our savings to our bartender. We were also convinced she was really a superhero bartender, here from the Bar Planet Krypton, to renew Hope and Goodness with good bar food, to still the bitterness and skepticism as such you'd find in our black, Milwaukeean hearts after having had too much bad cheese and rancid sausage. When we stepped outside for our cigarettes, we looked at each other in disbelief, wondering if we'd just dined in the Twilight Zone. No, the car was still there. But ... Homemade hummus? Figs used as a garnish? As bar food? Only in Chicago.

I hate giving this a bad review. I ate here once in the Fall and it was good. Nothing to write home about but great for a quick bite and a beer. However, the 1-star review is based off my experience this passed Sunday afternoon. Stopped in around noon. Place was pretty empty with one other table. We sat down in a booth and waited for about 10 mins. Server was in sight, but she didn't bother coming over. Starving, I went and grabbed menus from the POS stand. We looked at the menu, waited...waited...then decided to leave since we did not know how to enter our own order into the POS. After being ignored to that degree it's hard to forgive. Since we live a block away we will probably try it again, and hopefully leave a different rating.

This place is a crapshoot. One night, the vibrations are just right, and everyone is on -- bartender is awesome, people at the bar are funny, music is good, and all seems right. The next - bartender is forgetting about you, there's some drunk a$$hole from Jersey who keeps trying to talk loudly at your whole group, and all you want to do is get outta there with your crew. Can't speak to the food, and while I'm sure there are lots of reviews here that confuse Old Town Pub with Old Town Ale House, I'd go so far as to guess that there are no "deep cuts" on the jukebox. Unless it's an internet jukebox. Then you can cut my wrists. I kid, I kid. Happy Monday, people.

Went to Old Town Pub last night because it was near to where I was going afterwards. Had the sausage pizza and it was ok. The person that I was with had the sliders and said it was ok as well. Our waitress was very attentive so that was good. There was surprisingly a lot of guys that were hanging out at Old Town. I don't know why this surprised me, but it did! I'd go back and maybe try the chicken panini or the greek salad with chicken next time. It was a short walk to Second City so Old Town was a decent choice.

I worked here for a couple years and I loooove this bar. the kitchen is clean, the food is surprisingly great and the staff (at least the ones from when I was there) are fantastic (also attractive!) awesome crowd of regulars and neighborhood folks; karaoke on wednesday nights; couple of big screens for the games; and usually some decent specials. Plus they recently remodeled a little and it looks swell. OTP's the cats meow and I'm no longer being paid to say so! Check her out.

Old Town Pub was busy this past Saturday night. It seems like this is a place where sports fans, football fans Saturday night, can gather and watch a game. There were several TV's in the space and you can watch the game from wherever you are seated. Our waitress was attentive and checked on us often. She made sure our drinks were always full and gave us ample time to review the menu before ordering. The menu is pretty diverse, they have anything from wraps and sandwiches to pasta or pizza. I had the blackened chicken wrap with tater tots.... Yep that's right tater tots. I mean who can dislike a place that serves crunchy tater tots, a childhood favorite of mine. The wrap was good as well, it was generous in size and had a lot of chicken in it. I was pleased. If I lived nearby, I think this place would become a regular hang out of mine...It's relaxed, casual, and has a good atmosphere. I will definitely visit again when I'm in Old Town next.

Hands down my fave bar in Chicago. We can almost always find a seat here for football games, their tots are amazing AND OTP is all about Twitter (and Twitter specials that involve tots). The food is really good - blackened chicken wrap and all the pizzas are our favorites. Pretty decent selection of beers on tap and they make a great bloody. It's absolutely our go-to spot on Wells (beats the aggressive middle-aged men and ladies at Benchmark).

Completely pleasant spot to visit on a Sunday. We took a break from an Epic Walk to have a perfectly made Bloody Mary and hang out for awhile. The bartender was very charming and friendly and let my 7star companion plug in his perpetually drained cell phone to charge. This place looks like it's been here longer than it has. Maybe I was biased by the utterly great day I had yesterday, but this place is really nice, comfortable, and I'd go back.

I wandered in here with two friends looking for a low-key Saturday night. We ordered drinks and two appetizers and everything seemed fine. However, the waitress later came and asked my friend if she was done and she said yes. She then proceeded to clear all of the plates from the table even though there was food on it and the rest of the table was not done. She came back moments later and cleared the entire table and gave us our check. I might be mistaken, but people generally go to a bar on a Saturday night to hangout for an extended period of time. We were planning on ordering more drinks, but eventually left at the waitress basically kicked us out. She seemed much more interested in talking to her boyfriend who came in to the bar then providing us with any level of service. We were disappointed as we though we had found a chill neighborhood hangout. We loved the atmosphere. Food and drinks were average.

I m trying to become more of a realist than a dreamer. I heard from many people how great this place was so I gave it a whirl. I got the thin crust sausage and pepperoni. It is a nice to get a beer and pizza outside on a nice day in Old Town, but other than that not worth it. Pizza is bland and boring, so many better places in Chicago.

Waitress was rude. Buffalo calamari was room temperature and soggy. Grilled cheese was dry and awful- how do you mess up a grilled cheese? Fries were bland. My friend's club sandwich was "bad". His Stella also came out flat. Other than that though, it was great!

Sarah the bartender is awseome and makes the best freaken Bloody marys in the city!!!! thus far and I look for the best. The cornbeef and cabbage sandwich was so delicious! its a really cool spot everyone is friendly staff and the people that go there. I m the concierge across the street and we send people there all the time. The people who live here also know OTP as the neighborhood spot to hangout. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!

When you're from out of town it's hard to find a good bar. As we were walking through old town we stumbled upon this small pub. We walked in and ordered a drink at the bar. The next thing we know we're engaged in a wonderful conversation with the other bar patrons and the bartender. This bar was super welcoming, and left a great taste in my mouth for the town.

I moved to Old Town this year from Wicker Park this year. Culture Shock. Ummm....where can an aging indie-rocker by a normal that does not cost $7000? I like the vibe in the bar and they seem happy to have you there. I have not ordered any food, but the Pizza I saw looked awesome and it took all of my restraint to not order one. Thank you for being a neighborhood bar in the midst of all the high priced joints. Friendly atmosphere. They changed the channel, so we could watch the baseball game. Thank you for not charging me $25 for two beers and one little appetizer - as far as I know, we are still living in America. :)

I don't know why I haven't written a review yet even though I constantly frequent this place. I like it! It's laid back and doesn't try too hard like some of the other bars in the area. At the same time, it's definitely not a dive bar. Every once in awhile, they have great food specials. Plus, right after work, it's great for a Happy Hour. I also like that there's free wi-fi... The food may not be outstanding, but for the prices and the atmosphere, this place gets 4 stars. Yay! I'm a fan...

I only ordered drinks here so keep this in mind as you read this review. We stopped here while we were waiting for a bike repair. We had an hour to kill so we figured we may as well get some drinks. So, I ordered a mojito and it was definitely the worst mojito I've ever had in my life. The soda was flat and it didn't taste minty at all. It basically tasted like a rum and soda, without all of the minty yumminess that a mojito should have. As you can imagine, I was highly disappointed. Also, they were $8. Not cool. Way too pricey for the quality they were. I will take my business elsewhere in the future should I find myself in need of a drink while in the area.

This is a small bar with a "Cheers"-like atmosphere. We've been there a few times. The patrons are always friendly and the staff knows what they're doing. The bartenders have a heavy hand when it comes to pouring liquor. The staff makes sure that you don't feel neglected without being pesty. We had a great time at their Halloween party last year. Everyone was in costutmes! Hillarious! We left around midnight to go to Excalibur and after paying a cover and waiting a half an hour for our first drink, we wished we hadn't left. This year, we're staying put at Old Town Pub!!!

Wandered in here one night with a friend who is a regular (i am NOT a bar person...like AT ALL.) and as we were walking through the door..a drunken woman (turns out she was an employee) laughed at us and said, "oh good the groupies are here"..what does that mean? we were dressed in jeans and sandals not mini skirts and heels. I digress... The bartenders were awesome...kept offering us free drinks! They were just so friendly you felt like you were best friends with them! I had a great time at this quieter, low key place! I deducted 1 star for the weird comment (as a non bar person I instantly regretted my lapse of judgment) and another when I later found out she was an employee...

Now, I know I've gotten a reputation lately as the guy that only reviews places he likes.....that's because I think Yelp should be an opportunity to spread love about places we like....and if the place sucks....then don't tell anyone they even exist!!! You know what does exist? Old Town MoFo Pub!!! This place has consistently been one of my favorite haunts here in Chicago over the last few years. I've made more friends at this establishment between the customers and staff than I have anywhere else in my life. Half of my cell phone contacts I've met here. It is a crapshoot as to whether it will be busy, but if it is slow, then it's still an awesome place to just chill out. How bout that men's room guys??? How about a window? A vent? Anything??? (this could be my only complaint,really....hardly worth mentioning) There's this dude behind the bar named Kolin who I spend waaaay too much time around....in a good way..... Salt of the Earth, this guy. He's super obnoxious to those who deserve it.....Pop your collar, ask how much pink kamikaze's are, and see where it gets you!! Not frickin far....he'd rather just call you a tool box than make you something you accidentally ordered at Old Town Pub. Go down to Old Town Social, ya weenie..... Tuesdays: Kinky Comedy Showcase with Chicago's best stand up comedians....9pm...free...super fun. Wednesdays: Karaoke Jammie Jam! (Do not wear Pajamas, I was just referencing House Party 2) Saturdays: 10pm to 3am.....ridiculously fun.....go!! Best, TB

Old Town neighborhood staple, good for an after-movie, after-theater, after-Second City beer or drink. That is, if you don't mind semi-pornographic paintings, that trust me- are easily overlooked. I couldn't believe how fresh my Fat Tire and Stella were. I believe this place wins the "Cleanest Tap in the City" award! The jukebox is nothing but jazz, and I mean deep cuts folks! Somebody knows their jazz here. Once a smoke-heavy den of iniquity with characters that seemed to be held over from a meat-packing strike, this neighborhood bar is getting renewed life.

Food: 2 Decor: 1 Service: 1 We booked the entire place for 70-80 people for dinner. Put simply, they didn't prepare for us, and most of us spent the majority of our time waiting for pizza to arrive. I had a couple slices, and the pizza was very mediocre.

$1 cans on Monday night - Busch Lite or PBR. Just what my friends and I were looking for after a loooong 3-day weekend. Friendly staff, laid back atmosphere....Plus, the outside seating looked pretty inviting. When I got inside, I noticed a small group of mid-20ish men at the bar, staring intently at the tv's. Love it! Plus, when we were looking at the weekly specials, we noticed that one special was a 'blonde slut', as opposed to the ever popular 'red-headed slut'. So, when my curious friend blurted out, 'What's a blonde slut?' to the waitress, we were surprised (and thankful) that she didn't take any offense. My friend was also quick to point out that they offer free wi-fi. Impressive. Now it makes sense why people were in there, busting ou their laptops. Ha. I'm definitely a fan of this place!

Not sure if it's because I typically come in here after working out at the gym, but this place has some delicious food. The burgers are good, but my favorite is the blackened chicken wrap. Something about the chicken and soft rice together in a tortilla wrap just works right here. I also tried the mac and cheese w/ bacon (no jalapenos, I like my food non-spicy) and that was great as well. They also have a decent selection of beer (I love the monthly specials). Yum! The place is pretty quiet on the weekdays (I've never gone on a weekend), so if you want a place to sit down, enjoy a beer, and chat with your buddies, I would recommend coming here on a weekday evening....EXCEPT for Wednesdays. On Wednesdays, they have karaoke night, which can be both entertaining and irritating. Also, they seem pretty supportive of local groups and activities. Because I'm a member of the rock climbing group at the gym down the street, we usually get a nice discount whenever we come here. I've also heard that they've sponsored softball teams, volleyball teams, etc. so it's worth looking into if you're looking for a sponsor or discount for your group.

I absolutely love this place. The waitstaff is friendly, and the food takes a little longer than normal to cook, which gives you the chance to actually sit, enjoy some beers (or sodas???) and have a conversation. For a bar, it has quite the selection for your typical "bar food menu". Though we generally stay pretty lame and order a burger or chicken sandwich, their wraps and pizzas look great. I actually saw an Oriental Chicken wrap last night on the menu and I am gonna have to go back to try it. Essentially, it is a great place to get your "grease fix" on! UPDATE: Had the pizza last night and it was amazing! I think it was the margherita basil pizza, but not sure the exact title. Their pizza sauce (which I got on the side) was amazing also.

First time here: late on a Sunday afternoon after a long walk; two big Bloody Mary's for $8. Second time here: a few weeks later, also on a Sunday afternoon. Greeted by bartender: "two Bloody Mary's?" On the way out of here the second time: two comped brunches for another Sunday. Oh, it's nothing special in here at all. Dated, and almost dingy. But, there is music from the 70's and 80's that is not too loud, with at least so far, nice people who care about your business, and good prices. My kind of place.

What an awful experience for a Thur night, prime time Bears game. Twice, I waited for a beer for 20+ minutes. The goat cheese took 35 minutes and tasted like ketchup. Please staff yourselves properly, especially when every single bar on Wells is packed solid (most with lines).

I have only been once but I fell in love with this place. Lots of fun. A small place, I never really ventured too far back, but you can see it's not a big place. The drinks are strong, our bartender was great, friendly but not overly so, she had a heavy hand, which always helps. I had a burger, which was awesome, and my friends said theirs were the same. I put money in the jukebox and my tunes came on immediately. Bonus. This only means the other patrons weren't cool enough to choose their own music. I am, and after I did the place was 10x better. Not that it needed to be... I like this bar a lot. I can't wait to go back. It's walking distance from my place, so I have a feeling I'll be spending a fair amount of time there.

I live in the gold coast and our party of four was craving some pub food outside of the Division street bars, so we decided to hit up Old Town Pub. We went on a Saturday night at about six, and there was hardly anyone there. We awkwardly stumbled in and waited to be seated....but after 30 more seconds of awkwardness I yelled at the bartender and asked if we seated ourselves, she nodded yes. I'm pretty sure our waitress was new, because she had a hard time writing down our drink order, and then brought us the wrong drinks. My cousin and finace took a sip out of theirs to see if it was in fact the Stella they had ordered, but it wasn't. The waitress quickly snatched the drinks away and returned with new, correct ones. We saw her set the sipped out of beers on the bar, about 10 feet from our booth. We ordered our food and chatted while we waited. When my fiance put his elbow in my side and pointed to the bar, I looked over in horror as the bartender topped off the beers that we had sipped out of, and took them to some unaware souls sitting on the front patio. Whoops. The nice surprise was that the cheese burger I ordered was meaty, juicy, cheesy and delicious. The fries were respectable and I enjoyed every last bite of my meal and hard cider. Although the food was good, the atmosphere and service was just okay, but it's a fun neighborhood bar if you're in the area.

My boyfriend and I were sitting in a booth in the back on a Friday night. At the end of the night, the bar was closing and we were the last two customers to leave. During our walk home, less than 10 minutes after we left, we realized that we left my boyfriend's iTouch on the table. We turned around and went back and the iTouch was gone and apparently none of the staff saw it. So we were the last customers to leave and the iTouch was gone within minutes. You do the math. I called the next day and was told that the manager would check the safe and call me back. No phone call. Two days later I went in and talked to the manager, Steve. He said that he would check with the staff and that they have cameras they can review to find out who took it. He asked me to give him two days and promised to call me back. I asked that he call me either way, as I just want a follow up from him. It has now been a week; no phone call. Their pizza is good but their business practice and employees suck. Bottom line.

Generous portions. That seems to be the theme here. Whether it the nacho (the table next to ours had a mountain set down on their table), the burgers (a house standard of 10oz), sides like coleslaw (easily feeds two people), the slider samplers, or the calzones. But generousity means nothing if the food isn't good. I came in just feeling like a small burger, and had the "make your own" burger, but it was so tasty that had the whole 10 ounces.. The coleslaw was very good, creamy and not real sweet. Others split the slider sampler, which have a good variety, including chicken and fish. All in all, OTP is a good place if you're hungry or have someone to share with, which they have no probem with.

This is probably one of the oldest bars in Chicago (probably the universe, who knows, it's a big universe). But the main thing that stands out about this place, to me, is the lending library. That said to me when I first started going that people won't necessarily say, "what ya readin' for" if you decide to plop down and read a book. To me, that's just awesome. The little sitting area in the window section is really nice to relax in with a few friends. The whole place really is just great to soak in.

If I had a go-to place for a pub that was 1.Near my apartment and 2. had my favorite food-pizza, this would be it. Old Town Pub is a friendly & comfortable place to meet with friends, have a beer, and some great pizza. I enjoyed meeting the staff and found them all to be a great group of people. Looking forward to try their patio :)

Smells like bleach and pineapple! It really did. I thought it was random too. My boyfriend's work firm ended up here instead of their planned site which "forgot" to show up and open. So with the high expectations, Old Town Pub seemed a bit last resort, but we made it work. There was one bartender, 4 couples who later showed up and 30 of us. The drinks were well made, including a variety of wines to choose from. Their mojitos were excellent--Threw me off! The inside has an old pub feel, with a juke box and a few games. If you're looking to have a few drinks in a laid back environment, here's a good option. Oh their food looked good (didn't have a chance to try it), along with their daily drink specials.

Stopped in here with some friends after a hot, dirty day at the beach. We sat outside and sipped on sweet tea cocktails served up by an incredibly friendly (and Jameson pouring) bartender (didn't catch his name, but he hosts a comedy night on Mondays). The food was better than any of us had really expected! A friend of mine devoured his plate of ribs ($9.99 on special) as fast as he did shots of Jameson. I had some bruschetta that was pretty stellar, and some "onion chips" that were spicy and savory. I'm sure if I'm in the area again we'll stop by for a drink and a bite!

I've visited Old Town Pub on a few occassions, mostly because I was wandering the streets and had no where else to go. It is nice to sit outside in the summer. The bar itself is nothing special, which is fine, the drinks are priced appropriately. The staff is friendly but nothing fancy but no one here is trying to be fancy. My big gripe, I was most recently there on a Friday night, there were about 30 people in the place at 10:00 p.m. and in walked a group of six girls who were dressed up and ready to go out. So why would girls dressed to go to Stone Lotus go to Old Town Pub? That was my first question. When I took a closer look, I realized that they were CLEARLY under age. A larger, older man with white hair whom I assumed was the owner was sitting at the bar, no one carded any of the girls, and one of the girls could not have been a day over 16. The "owner" bought the girls a round of shots. Then the bartender encouraged the girls to do a "mind eraser" or "brain freeze" - a typical drink to serve under age girls. She had to teach them how to drink the thing.

I came here for a quick dinner while waiting for my bike tire to be fixed next door. The whole place feels like a cave, but the outdoor seating makes it a bit livelier. Our server was ok, food was ok but it took quite awhile. The sangria was $8, a bit pricey until I got it. It was huge! It was listed as one of there "featured" drinks and it advertised fruit, like all sangria. It came with a lemon slice, lime slice and a cherry the standard BAR fruit. I thought it was funny and the irony is that it was amateur comedy night! Joke was on me.

This place has so much untapped potential as far as ambiance goes. It's like a time warp back to 1970's Chicago. I love the booths in back and the weird stained glass on the walls. There should have been some Crosby, Stills and Nash or America playing in the background, but there wasn't. No, there was no music here, only loud bar chatter from the people in the front who seemed to be too dressed up to be there. Such a shame. This bar needs to be either in another decade or another neighborhood. I wish it was in mine, because I'd treat it right.

We will NEVER be going back to the old town pub (undeserving of capital letters). The bartender, Sara, really did us wrong. We ordered a pizza, it took an hour to get back, was cold, AND HAD NO CHEESE ON IT. She PUT HER HAND IN OUR PIZZA to try to show us that there was cheese on it, but it was just soggy dough. Thank you for nothing, and we'll be going up the street to ANY of the other excellent pubs in old town next time. Also, she kept arguing with us (the customers) throughout this afternoon. Ridiculous.

I was checking out the Old Town area last night and stumbled across this pub. Fun, lighthearted atmosphere, with the hole in the wall feel. Good selection of beers in the bottle and taps served microbrews. Didn't try out the food, but the prices look good.

I am not a big fan of this place. I feel as if they make things complicated that are really quite simple. Ordering something to-go seems to be quite a hassle. I've gone in there to order something and then just sat there. No one came by to offer a drink or anything. I've also ordered pizza from here before and gone in to pick it up. The bartender looked at me as if I was from outer space when I had asked about a pick up order. Apparently you had to wait for someone from the waitstaff to stroll by and flag them down to ask about a pizza. They never seem to have any staff members that are willing to assist you. They're too busy talking and chatting with other patrons or simply no where to be found. I've also walked in there with a large group of about 7 family members (hello large tab!) only to be completely ignored. My family, who doesn't make it to the city very often, was wondering why everyone there was being so rude. I didn't have an answer for them and I haven't been back since. I feel like you have to be a frequent, local visitor in order to even be considered worthy of any attention at this establishment. No thanks!

Stopped in here for a casual dinner and ordered the veggie pizza. It seems like they run a lot of specials. The place had good ambiance, but it was just really stuffy inside on a balmy August night, so we left really quickly after dinner. I would definitely come back to try more of their pizzas, maybe on a cold winter night.

cheap + good service + nice little patio area + good weather = a lovely friday night dinner came here for a bite with some girlfriends...we were all craving pizza so we decided to give this place a try after walking through old town and checking out our options. we ordered the bbq chicken pizza...a bit too much garlic but still hit the spot. some other diners ordered these drool worthy burgers with curly fries...if i come back i'm totally ordering that even if it looked like a heart attack on a plate.

Woot! My friend Lee and I stopped by here last night before the Yelp Party at Suite Lounge. I knew I would want something in my stomach before I started Suite-ing it up (Thank God I did because those Princess Martinis had champagne in them. Empty Stomach + Champagne anything = CRAZY Kristin). If I lived in Old Town, I would come here every Tuesday. Not only do they have one of my most favoritest beers, Fat Tire, on special ($3 a pint) but the burgers are 1/2 off. Those burgers are HUGE and delicious. In general: Love. This. Bar. Very friendly bartender. Patrons are laid back. There are booths in the back! Just another reason why I heart Old Town.

Great neighborhood, casual bar/pub. Perfect place to meet up for a quick drink or to watch a sports game. Decent daily menu specials and outdoor seating. You'll always see this place with people if it's in the afternoon or late at night. Friendly, down to earth staff. Jean and t'shirt type of place.

Oooo, I think I've found a gem. A cute, quiet, comfy, laid-back bar in my 'hood. Went here late last night after bar hopping and being underwhelmed with the old town bars. Old Town Pub was the perfect place to end my night with the relaxed atmosphere, good music, and friendly service. I ordered a vodka tonic and boy was it strong...just how I like it. Our waitress was so sweet and cute and ended up bringing us free shots. I'm not a shot kind of gal, but hey it was free! Only downside, in my opinion, was the lack of specials. 'Sluts' were the special, which a) makes me uncomfortable and b) is somewhat degrading. Not their fault though, they didn't name the drink.

Their thin crust pizza is very tasty. If you get garlic on your pizza, be warned, they do not mess around. No making out with chicks for the rest of the night. While they don't have a big selection of beers, they have a great selection of beers.

We'll be back!

old town pub should be a great bar and an alternative to some of the fancier places in the area, unfortunately it's not. the place is broken in, but it goes a little farther and becomes a bit old/tired. please note i am not referencing the cleanliness, everything seemed okay as that goes. the food was average, not bad, not great. bartenders were cool, but the waitresses not as friendly. walk down a small flight of stairs and the bar is immediately on the left. just a ledge opposite the bar. beyond the bar is a mix of seating. the bar top is a perfectly worn wooden surface with a classic wide rail. perfect for forearms. wooden stools with back support. the bar back is a mix of shelves, bottles, & hdtvs. nothing special or decorative. stamped tile ceiling. an outdoor patio that is good on the warm days & for smokers. other patrons are a mix, but most likely you'll be drinking with someone that's spent some time in a bar. easy conversation. atmosphere is usually more subdued. can get louder for a short time if certain crowds come thru or if a chicago team is playing.

This place is sketchy! Bad food decent beers. Think there was drug dealing happening when we were there.

Great music! When we were there they were playing a great mix of alternative rock music. The waitresses are super-friendly and the food is a great value. Pizza is surprisingly good and they have a variety of sliders.

The bar is not my favorite, but the stars are for the pizza. Did not expect this little pub to have such delicious bbq chicken pizza. It's a nice place to go with a friend for beer and a pie. :)

  • Ken C.

Their thin crust pizza is very tasty. If you get garlic on your pizza, be warned, they do not mess around. No making out with chicks for the rest of the night. While they don't have a big selection of beers, they have a great selection of beers.

I'm a fan!

This is a great place even though it might not look like it from the outside. It is small but cozy. One of the girl's that works there was on the new Survivor.
