I just moved to the area and I'm cursed with not having laundry in my unit/building. Luckily the nearest laundromat is literally 2 minutes away (yes I timed it). So I drop my laundry off and my stomach is telling me that it needs to get fed. I didn't feel like driving anywhere so I started walking and spotted this place. First of it smelled delicious in there. They serve Indian food which is my favorite dish and as I was scanning the menu I saw that they also serve Philly cheesesteaks. I was really indecisive because it's a hit or a miss when it comes to Philly cheesesteaks. Since I live life in the fast lane I ordered it! I'm a big whiney baby and I complain about every thing but this philly was absolutely amazing. I mean so good I had it for dinner for a week straight. It was freshly prepared and the owner is absolutely great. You can absolutely taste that he cares about his food and customers. I have also tried his Chicken Beriyani and its yum yum yummy! You can't go wrong with this place, food is amazing, prices are unbeatable and the customer service is great!

Back when I lived in the area I would frequent this place often. Stuff my face with samosas. Took my best friend here today turns out he's a regular here too ! Difficult because he can only eat halal meet and I'm not very picky so five stars for this place definitely ! Excellent customer service and delicious food and a public parking lot ! Must visit. If you have a tasteful palate.

The worst! Not just once but THREE times, they have been out of tortillas! And one other time, they were out of CHICKEN!! Seriously?!! It wasn't even busy, my friends and I were pretty much the only ones there. Also, the partially bald desi guy that works there shows attitude for some reason The only thing I used to go there for was their chicken Philly burrito which I actually love if they don't go cheap on the chicken! Nothing else is worth mentioning except the bad fries which a couple times were horrible and I think it as because they probably didn't change the oil in the fryer for like a week (nasty, all the gunk that builds up) Anyway because of their repeated let downs, my friends and I don't plan to go back there.

Horrible food, and customer service. I've just recently started reviewing on yelp and this one is long overdue. Last time I went there must have been over a month ago probably longer and the sting is still there. Guy at the front desk, think his name is sadik, has an anger problem. They've messed up my order every time I went there, and sadik has argued with me when I told him that's not what I ordered. To the point where the owner had to tell him to go in the back. The food is so so, except they use patties with filler in it, you might feel some pieces of tendon or maybe plastic in the patties. DO NOT go here, only reason they are in business is because the kids from the highschool next door probably come in to eat since its cheap. Horrible horrible horrible.....HORRIBLE

Just anothet awesome update about how aweslme this place is... Food as always is spectacular. And they are so so nice :)) My family comes here and they always offer my 15 month old son a small plate of fries or a lollipop free of charge... small things like this really make a place stand out :) Please please go here...we should support businesses like these! Tried the famous Jim Shoe sandwich and I absolutely loved it. Will surely be back to try out other things on their menu. This place had a feel of a typical neighborhood fastfood joint. Fairly well maintained and clean along with good food definitely earns them a 5 star.

Been here a few times and the food in never consistent. The owners are rude, cheap on the ingredients. The last 4 times i went they didn't have what i wanted. Sometimes they don't have chicken and the other times they don't have tortillas for the burrito. Its best to call them and find out if they have what you wanna eat.

The chicken nuggets are good. I really like the spicy gyro pizza. Just tell the waiter no bell peppers it changes the taste. The pizza crust reminds me of D'agostino's pizza.....

Tried it on a whim while doing laundry in the same plaza. Ordered the gyro and WOW! The best gyro sauce and very meaty. Very nice and polite people working over there. The fries are also deliciously crispy.

Yummy. This fast food is made to order and absolutely delicious. I have been going here for the last 8 months or so and am happy each time I try something new. Recently, I got the pizza and it is AMAZING. The crust is crispy and thin (made from scratch) and the toppings are flavorful and kinda spicy. And to make this place even better, the pizza costs about the same as getting a frozen pizza at the grocery! The new owner is really friendly and welcoming and they cook everything when you order. The philly cheese steak sandwich is really good, just the way I like it with small chopped pieces of meat instead of long gyro like slices. It comes with fries and a drink and again, the prices are amazing.

Greasy. Coming home from the train I woke up from my slumber to espy Makki Fast Food and Grill outside my train window. What was it? Well the sign said fast food but in Albany Park you can never really tell what anything is from the outside. Sliding across ice and snow, I made my investigation. Makki Fast Food & Grill serves up super cheap eats from 8am-1am and is open 7 days a week. Located next to Roosevelt High School, I shudder to think what kind of zoo this place becomes once the high schoolers roll in. Fortunately for me, the high schoolers were long gone and the tables were all clean and the only thing on was TV tuned to the news. I looked at the menu and they served up high school prices! 14" pizza for $6.49 a cheeseburger combo for $4.49 and pop for a mere 51¢. I wonder what this place will become since it's open until one in the morning. They were still cleaning the place up and setting up a backroom so the place is very brand new. I ordered my food and waited over ten minutes, so this place will never win any awards for speedy service, but such is the way things are done in Albany Park. Patience is a virtue and I virtuously accepted my food and paid with card and was on my way. On the way back sliding through the ice fields the food maintained integrity, texture and temperature despite the below-freezing temperatures. My burger was from some deep frozen meat so I can't say it had much flavor. The fries were much better and were very delicious and suitable for drunk food. I will investigate further this Makki Fast Food and Grill as I strive to add another mayorship and try their Chicken Masala. Chicken Chinese does not sound very good but then again the place down the street serves up Bulgogi Taco.

It was a hectic day, and we were doing laundry over at the coin laundromat in the same plaza. I decided to walk over, and get a bite to eat. I got a grilled chicken sandwich and gyro burger combo meals, both were pretty darn good. Both meals come with fires and a can of pop. What I really appreciated about this place was that they cooked my food to order, when I ordered it. No stuff sitting around on a warmer! With that being said, there will be a bit of a wait time for your food (which i don't mid because it's cooked fresh), unless you call in in ahead of time. I will be returning to try the other menu items!

I wish I can rate this place 0- 1/2 a star. There is a good reason to give this place 1 star. It SUCKS! The service is tremendously horrible, the food is disguised to be of large portions. Frozen patties. The bald guy doesn't get "no tomatoes", complete incompetent, degrading service. On top of all this I only got 1 piece of gyro on my double cheeseburger. The business is a sad declining one.

I really like this place. They have some super good prices. I get the felafel sandwich lunch special everytime I go there. I like the fact I can get a nice descent meal for under $5! Today I had the veggie Biryani and a pop. It was around $6.50 I think. They have good hours and friendly person to serve you. Go there and eat well.

Stopped by Makki Grill on a night that I didn't feel like cooking and ordered my meal to go. Had a pleasant time chatting with the very friendly guy behind the counter while my food was prepared. Walked out with a gyro, fries and a can of pop for a decent price. The food was very tasty and in an absolutely huge portion. Would definitely do the same again on another lazy night.

This place just opened up a block away, so my husband and I decided to try it out. These guys were very NICE and the PRICES ARE GREAT! The menu is very eclectic as well (middle eastern, Pakistani/Indian, burgers, shrimp). We ordered a beef pizza and the service was kind of slow and there were 4 guys in the restaurant but only 1 cooking? Oh well, they are new and probably working out the kinks. I was so hungry when I got home with the pizza and we found that it was completely uncooked, except for the toppings. The dough was only cooked on the crust. We couldn't even peel the pizza off to put it on a pan to bake it more. So, we called the place and they were very apologetic and offered to make another one. The second one was a little more cooked and my husband thought it looked okay at the restaurant, but the center was completely uncooked. It's like they are using dough that is still frozen?? At least this time we could get it off of the cardboard and we ended up baking it another 15 minutes. There are lots of toppings which is nice, but there is hardly any sauce or flavor, I'm sad to say. Maybe we'll give them some time to work things out and try again. :/

I agree with An P. This. is. drunk. food. With it being across from the train, it's EXCELLENT for a stumble home. I've only had their chicken philly which is really good. Quite comparable to the chicken phillies in Greektown at Mr. Gyro. The fries are seasoned with what might be seasoning salt [?] but taste really good with barbecue sauce. The employees there are really nice and everything is made to order so you have to wait a little bit. Give 'em a chance! It's nice to have something in a plaza that was completely empty :)

We placed an order for delivery. It took over 1 hour for the food to arrive, we paid much more than we should have, the order was messed up and we received very rude customer service. Def not going to this place again. We ordered 2 philly sandwiches, we asked for everything on the side. The meat for 2 sandwiches was packed in one piece of wax paper, the cheese was completely stuck to the wax paper. The main problem was that we had 3 meals ordered, we ordered fries with each one. They did not give us fries with our order. We called them back to tell them the situation. They refused to give us a refund or drop off any fries. They claimed the fries "were free with each order" and "it was too cold and expensive to send fries again". Mind you this happened in May and we live maybe 10 minutes from them. I told them to their face my family and I will not be returning and giving them business again after the way they treated us. They still refused to do anything for us. Clearly they do not care about their customers and they do not care if their business fails. They only care about the few dollars they stole from us.

i cant speak for all the food items, cuz ive only been eating the 1/2lb chop steak sandwich which i absolutely love!! i know they have new owners so maybe thats played a role in them ebcoming better, only down side is it takes a LONG time for the food, definitely not a "fast food" place....

Excellent food, its zabiah and better then the food they serve on Devon. Quality and fresh and the servers are real nice. The philly cheese steak is amazing and cant be beat in chicago land. Great prices and food that hits the spot.
