We always biked past this place on our way to and from the North Branch trail and finally decided to stop in, as we were starved from riding all day and I really wanted to try their banh mi. We were seated promptly. It was pretty busy for a Sunday early evening. I really like the layout of this place. It's very open. We ordered a thai iced tea, the chicken wing appetizer, pineapple fried rice, and the lemongrass chicken banh mi. Everything tasted delicious! The banh mi came with fries, which I thought was odd, but they were really good fries, the seasoned kind. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the lemongrass chicken banh mi was, as I've only eaten it at Ba Le in Uptown. I'm so happy to know there is good banh mi closer to home! The amount of food we got was a little aggressive as we had a lot of wings and rice left-over to take home. Next time we come, we'll know to order less. The service was very good and we didn't wait long for our food, despite how busy they were. We left feeling completely satisfied and talking about what we wanted to try the next time we come back. A++

Don't go for take out, especially if it's busy. They'll forget shit and give you no utelsils after a lengthy wait. Avoid this place if there are more than four tables sat.

This is good pho at a very reasonable price! Save yourself a dollar and go with the regular rather than the large size. It's just about the same portions but in a smaller bowl. We walked in and the place was rather large. It was pretty quiet, seeing that we were the only people there besides one more smaller group. Not much of an ambiance but it really doesn't matter for a place like this. They've got Asian decorations hanging by the bar and such. It was in a good neighborhood with a wide selection of restaurants. When we walked in, they asked if we wanted to sit at a booth or a table - I really appreciate when places give you the option. The people were extremely nice and were patient when we were ordering. I ordered the #64 which was the beef, brisket, and tripe pho. It was delicious! I highly recommend it if you want something close to the pho dac biet. They also weren't stingy in bringing us more limes. The waitresses were always filling up our glasses of water when they saw it getting low. My friends got dishes other than pho as well, and they seemed to really enjoy them although it cost a little bit more than the pho. Whenever I'm in the mood for some good pho though, I'm definitely going back!

Do yourself a favor and order the #50 filet pho. You will not be disappointed! I've lost count of how many times I've had the #50. It's consistently good! Flavor is on point each time! I've gone to other Vietnamese restaurants in Vietnamese town and they weren't as consistent as king pho. You get huge portions for a decent price. I've had expensive pho from places in the Gold Coast and king pho beats them all! On my list of "last meal" options.

Hands down my favorite Viet joint outside of Chicago. Clean, contemporary interior, BYOB and the most delicious food! We always get spring rolls, pho and share a bahn min (which come with fries). We have tried other entrees too and they have all been great too. Service has always been fast and friendly. For $40 we get spring rolls, bahn min, 2 regular pho, and entree and bubble tea. Free parking in the back is a big plus!

The closest restaurant that serves good pho coming from Skokie, although I do enjoy the pho in uptown Chicago , the pho here is not bad at all. The restaurant is viet and Thai. Every time I visit Skokie, my brother takes me here to eat pho. I always enjoy my meal here because the servers are very nice and friendly. I also like that the place is spacious which can seat quite a number of people. There's parking in the back of the restaurant , however it's not very big. If you don't get parking you would have to look for street metered parking which can be a pain considering the place is in a busy street of Devon. Overall. Good pho! Nice servers.

Pho Real - this place is great! Looking to satisfy your inner-Thai cravings then hit this spot. The staff here is beyond friendly and helpful with the menu. I've religiously ordered the Pad Thai (spicy) up until these last couple of weeks when I tried the Vegetable Pho - which is GREAT! The serving sizes are plentiful. I don't think I've seen anyone get a large portion since the smaller one tends to suffice. The restaurant environment is well themed and makes for a nice dining experience. Service is quick and the food comes out fresh. Each table has plenty of condiments (plum sauce, soy sauce, sriracha, ect...) to enhance your order to your liking too.

My go to Pho in Chicago area was closed (Pho No 1 - which is 5 Star awesome). So I found this place based in the reviews. Shrimp rolls are really good and the Chicken Pho is good, not great in my opinion. Broth is good, but not quite a clean finish in the aftertaste. Surface of the broth is skimmed with small round greasy pools. Chicken is cut, not pulled and the extra veggie side was sparse. I had to deduct a star for old jalapeño pictured here and the basil looked a little past it's time as well. Service was pleasant but slow and it wasn't that busy. I think maybe I was there on an off night as I could tell the fundamentals were there but the execution was lacking. This was definitely a 2.5 experience but I'm giving 3 stars because based on other reviews it seems they can do better.

Love this place. It's mine and my family's go-to place for Asian comfort food! I always get their pho tai and fresh spring rolls. If you got kids, they will be thrilled with their ban mi and fries. Service is great, restaurant is clean, yummy food and reasonably priced - what more can you ask for. If you can't find parking in front, they got spaces in the back.

Great service and great space! The food wasn't bad, but I've had better! We ordered the vermicelli noodles. I usually get mine w/ pork. My husband ordered the same but w/ shrimp as well. The overall taste of the noodles was really good. I only had a problem w/ the pork...it was so fatty and huge chunky pieces. Not a fan. I love the pork at some other places where it isn't fatty and is served in small pieces cooked well. Would I come back, sure...but I would try the pho next time!

Having Vietnamization friends I ate allot of offensive Vietnamization food and I have to say that these place is as offensive as it gets, priced reasonably, only complaint that I have is that service some times is but did organized but they do make it up with food

I like this place but the service is veeeeery slow. I can't believe they take forever to clean a table and waiting for my water took them just the same time as the food- a looooong time. I called our waiter 3 times for our water and I got my water after I got my food. Definitely will take my food to go or order ahead of time before getting there.

A great little find for a more suburban area. The restaurant itself is clean and bright, decent amount of parking around back, decent service, lots of variety on the menu. This was my first time having pho so while I do not have anything outstanding to compare it to, I really did think it was delicious. I had the pho filet steak...the large size (which by the way, is ENORMOUS); the broth was very rich and full, well-made noodles and steak, lots of fresh garnishes. This place, or maybe pho in general, would be an excellent choice on a windy or cold day to fill your stomach with some warmth.

My girlfriend and I checked out king pho after passing it a hundred times in the car. We came for a late lunch around 230 and there were only about three other tables there, which is my favorite time to go to a restaurant. Our server promptly addressed us and was very nice and accomidating. She answered all of our questions, which happened to be a lot because neither one of us had been to a restaurant like this before. I got a fried rice bowl with chicken that came with sweet sausage. My friend got a rice dish with pork. Both of our entrees were great, but we wanted to try their pad Thai!!! Sooooo happy we did. I don't have enough to say about the pad Thai. It was the bomb! The only thing I would knock is the broth for the pho. We ordered it on the side to possibly add to our dishes and it had a very strange flavoring! It is super aromatic. It almost tastes like someone took a handful of flowers and let them seep in water for three hours. Just not my cup of soup, so to speak. Other than that, it's worth checking out and VERY affordable. It was so cheap for all the food we got.

I really want to like King Pho. The food is good and the price is right, but the service is so bad that it can ruin your evening. We have been to King Pho several times. Each time the service was bad. By bad I mean the food takes a terribly long time to prepare, the servers forget about our order - or both. One time, the brought my wife's food out at the same time as my appetizer. Weird, but we have come to expect weird service. By the time I was finished with the appetizer I inquired about my order and the server acted a little surprised. After going to the back to check on my order she returned and said it would be done in a few minutes. My wife finished her meal. I asked again about my order and a different server came up to me and asked what I would like to order. After much confusion (and my wife speaks Vietnamese) I discovered they never placed my original order. Neither time. We left. Today, we went again and the level of incompetent service reached new heights. My order arrived, but it was not what I had ordered. They then took it from my table and tried to discover who ordered it. I did not see anyone accept it so I couldn't tell what happened. They came and took my order again. This time, when it arrived it was in a to-go bag! They took it back to put in a bowl... but they didn't return. My food disappeared somewhere between the table and the black hole which is their kitchen. I was frustrated and asked how long it would take them to make it again - but I will take it home. They actually came back in 10 minutes with my order. As I was walking out I peeked in the bag because it didn't feel like it was a bowl of Pho. It was a sandwich. The length of time it takes to get your order can also be very long. I have personally witnessed several tables, over multiple visits, simply get up and leave the restaurant. My wife and I have also left after ordering because it was taking too long for the food to arrive. I am not saying I will never return. They food is good and it's a closer drive for Viet food than going all the way to Argyle street, but their service is just so frustrating that I need to take some time away from King Pho.

My family loves King Pho. This is one of the few places that serves egg noodle pho AND the traditional rice noodle pho. There are 2 egg noodle soups on the menu, but you could probably ask them to substitute the noodles in any soup they offer. The bahn mi sandwiches are tasty and come with a side of fries (excellent!). The appetizers, noodle dishes and rice dishes are wonderful as well. Bonus points for baby pho - a very generous kid sized portion. Service is friendly, but slows down a lot when the restaurant is full. The dinner candies provided with the bill are not mint, but a funky fruit flavor. They are always surprised when we leave them behind untouched. You could get lucky with parking along Devon or one of the side streets. There is a very small parking lot behind the building, but don't park in one of the spots reserved for Domino's delivery drivers. It's walking distance from the Edgebrook Metra stop on the Milwaukee District / North Line.

Number 1, straight-up. Went there on a Monday afternoon, around 14.00, so I can't comment on service at any other time. That said, our server was fast, friendly, efficient, and had our Pho on the table most rickey-tick. The restaurant itself was sparkling clean, as was the washroom. No-problem parking was available in the lot behind the restaurant, as well as plentiful on-street parking. Tableware, chopsticks, spoons, bowls, glasses, all were spotless. Now. The important part-the Pho. My Lady and I both had the Pho dac Biet. Most excellent. The broth was steaming hot, flavorful and intense. Typical Vietnamese-style and taste, not too sweet, just right. The noodles were plentiful and cooked-through, the meats varied and tasty. Rare beef was actually rare, the jellied-tendon was plentiful and fresh, the tripe was done correctly...just all in all, a really, really, really, good bowl of Pho. The usual sprouts, peppers, and basil leaves were brought out, and the standard condiments were on-table. Big props for having the bottle of nuoc mam on the table for those of us who like our Pho a little saltier. And did I mention that it was huge? MUCH larger than many of the Pho restaurants in Chicago. $9.50 for the large, and believe me, unless you're really hungry, you ain't gonna finish it. Great value. I've eaten Pho from S.E Asia to South America, and all points in-between, and this place serves a bowl that can hold its metaphorical head up in the company of the best. I highly recommend it. A note on service in Pho places in general. These are usually family-run places, and they typically do the best they can to get your order up and out to you as quickly as possible. Sometimes it takes a bit longer, because there isn't a prep-line, aren't three cooks doing things, it's normally just mama-san, or a cousin, or whoever, taking care of the cooking, so lighten up and cut them a bit of slack. If you're in that much of a hurry, head on down to Panda Express, or McDonalds, one of those places. Also, your attitude will directly affect your service. Call a server with your index finger waving? Could be it. Just sayin'. Will definitely return-can't say a bad thing about it.

We were standing waiting to be seated for several minutes with a few empty tables and after we were seated we sat there for 20 mins no one said anything, brought us any water or anything, so we left with out eating! Other tables looked like they were waiting too.

Food and shakes are great! Don't go when in a rush though. Service is a bit slow. Loved the pho, best around! (And I will drive to Chicago or Glendale Hts from the north shore burbs to get good pho & pork chop rice plates!) We ordered #67 special beef pho (without tripe) and #97 pork chop (2) rice plate with egg. LOVED THEM BOTH! Authentic, perfectly made and large, hearty portions. My sons had #25 BBQ pork banh mi and #39 pad Thai and enjoyed them as well. We all ordered different bubble shakes which were delish! The fruit and boba were fresh. We drank then all down to the last drops (which I scooped out with a spoon). I would have given them a 5 star but the service was a bit slow and a little unorganized. We were a large group, had many requests, so gave some grace but it could've been better. One example, the service wasn't a consistent flow. They were super attentive or there were large gaps of time when we were waiting for water or something else. We would definitely go back but just on days when we have time to kill and just want to catch up with each other. That or when I'm just in those killer pho kind of moods! You know what I mean?

Noodles were a tad over done, however steak was better than most places. Service was sufficient. Place was clean except for a right under our table a gathering of ants over a piece of food. Not too bad, not exceptional.

Excellent value for $$ with quality ingredients. PHO FILET STEAK -- you don't see filet steak on the menu as much. I am satisfied and happy with my order. MENU -- ordinary. Typical Asian fusion with smoothies, bubble teas, fried rice, noodles, Chinese and Thai dishes. A good addition to the neighborhood. 1-star less as the spouts on the Siracha and Hoisin sauce needs to be cleaned.

I came here on New Year's Day for the first time and the food was decent but the service was terrible. I figured that was because it was so crowded and they were short staffed. I ate here again tonight and despite being mostly empty the service was painfully slow again. The tapioca in the smoothie was terrible and the other dishes just ok after a very long wait. It's too bad because this place is in my neighborhood.

The filet Pho here is amazing! Their other food is pretty good too. This is a family run business with quality food and friendly service. There is free parking in the back. Nice, clean, and well lit. We are still trying other menu options but so far have not been disappointed.

I was so glad that I found good clean pho restaurant even though I have to drive an hour and half. But I am now a bit disappointed because they cut the amount of noodle serving extremly! I don't think I am going this place anymore!so as my friends.

The newest addition to the Forest Glen area and a decent Vietnamese spot to grab grub when driving into the city is just, well, tiresome. So how was it? I don't eat pho everyday nor every weekend for that matter, so this review is solely based on my tastes. So if you are trying to gauge my tastes, I can share with you that my all time favorite pho has come from Hoanh Long. Pho is the kind of dish that should kick you in the ass and get you going again. (The kick in the ass is so long as you add an ample amount of Rooster sauce to your broth). I checked King Pho out for the first time a few weeks back. The "Tony the Tiger" face is hard to miss and rather odd to me, I like thinking of "Tony" inspiring me to eat a bowl of Frosted flakes rather than spitting a devilish forked tongue with a smile. Moving on, I ordered a BBQ pork banh mi sandwich and the seafood Pho. It took about fifteen to twenty five minutes for both to arrive. Had the sandwich while waiting on the pho. Not a usual meal but was a post work out & long work day, kind of meal. The French bread was new, had a nice softness with a crisp exterior from a quick heating in an oven. The meat was thinly sliced like it often is in this kind of sandwich with ample offering of julienne cut vegetables and slices of jalapeno rather than jalapino (as mentioned in their menu). I prefer jalapeno and when restaurants order or reorder new menu's, they should also order spell check! Service was alright but nothing special. For weekday service it was okay but seeing as how the door to the kitchen was wide open and I could see the cooks leaning on counters talking whilst in the dining area my waiter leaned against the cash counter watching an Asian movie on the flat screen playing above him, I started wondering why they heck I had to pack my own takeout or tip waitstaff. If I pack my own food, what's the purpose of a waiter? I could buy my food at the counter and sit and serve myself yes? Even when dude handed me extra napkins exclaiming that he thought I would probably get some of it on me... Which I did. That situation turned me off to returning for some time. Much of what was on my table from the get go i.e napkins, flatware, sauces, etc I got myself before the waiter came. The menu as well, I got up and fetched because he was watching same said movie and dragging. Quick mention, although there is ample street parking which is always available it can be tedious to wait for traffic to subside to join back into; this depending on the time of day. Also due to the Metra stop which is kitty corner away. Of course this mention is for rush hour times, which one could bypass all of these headaches by utilizing the free parking in the rear.

I've been going here for months, this place never fails me when it come to their awesome Vietnamese food! The food is amazing, with their bahn no sandwiches and pho bowls. I like #60 and the lemongrass chicken bahn mi! A must go here place!

The food is really good but the service is horrible! I really liked the appetizer platter. I had a flank and brisket Pho and it was good (have had better), it wasn't hot enough for me and lacking noodles. Also ordered of the kids menu friend egg with rice and sweet sausage YUMMMMMMMMMM, it was a large portion for a 5yo. I would put 5 stars if the service was better it really does lack!

The King lives up to his name. Pho (pronounced "fuh") is the best beef broth soup you will ever taste. It is Vietnamese in origin and is served with aromatics of basil and cilantro leaves. Spank the herbs in your pa to wake them up and put them in the soup , along with the bean sprouts and dig in. The Pho can be ordered with several different kinds of meat, but I recommend the steak. Ok Pho lesson is over, now onto King Pho. This restaurant is wonderful. I have been up and down argyle street and this place is right up there. The Pho is fresh and the meat is tender. The owners really take pride in presenting a restaurant that is clean and stylish. Warm exposed brick walls and an original wood beam ceiling. Lighting that males you feel sexy and comfortably chairs. If it is quiet, I swear that they have chirping bird noises to add to the peacefulness. Give these guys a try, and while you are at it enjoy all the shops and stores that Edgebrook has to offer.

Don't get me wrong, the food is not bad. However, we waited 15 minutes to get service, and after we got our food we never got checked up on. I think the worst part was that they created a 4 track playlist for Chinese New Year so we ended up hearing the same song 3 times..

Food really delicious. Appetizers large portions had pot stickers and crab Rangoon. Also, had Singapore noodle dish (33 on the menu) shrimp, beef, chicken noddles and veggies very tasty and can be shared by two or you can leftovers.

My boss took me here for my birthday. The first thing I liked was the space. It was big, open, and had big windows. We were seated in a booth and opened our menus. The menu was simple but the choices were good. I got the Bun Bo Hue and my boss got the Pho. It's great. We ordered spring rolls which I thought was average. We also ordered tea, eggrolls and Che (a dessert). All of those were great. I left feeling stuffed and I thought it was a decent place. I think the owner is Thai and maybe that is why the Vietnamese food isn't to the taste I'm used to. However, others might find this place to their liking.

  • Vicki F.

Spring rolls were very good. Waited an hour for my food. 4 different people came to my table. They need to designate one server per table. Brought my guests dinner forgot my dinner. There was a woman screaming or at least yelling from the kitchen. Lots of waiters apologizing. If only they could have managed things better it would be good.

Service: D Food: F Liquor license: None Ambiance: C- Worst Vietnamese food I have ever had. I had some kind of wedge of mystery meat in my spring roll that looked like gray Spam. Don't eat here.

Don't order carryout here. You'll be waiting forever. 3 banh mi sandwiches take 45m??!! On the phone, they tell me 15m. I walk into restaurant and tell them I ordered carryout. They just show u a seat at the bar with no other communication. No one acknowledges you. No one talks to u. Trying to get the attention of someone and they walk right by you. I've eaten here when they first opened and it was good. But I will never order carryout from here again. Definitely not Ba Le.

I've eaten here twice in the past month and I have to say the food is really good. The portions seem very large and the prices decent. Atmosphere is cozy and the staff are nice and polite. The only thing I noticed is they never clean their condiment containers. As a former waiter that has always been a pet peeve of mine. All in all this is a good place to eat.

The restaurant was nice looking and somewhat clean. However, when I went with my parents and when my father ordered the pho special he got less than what was expected but they corrected this by taking it back and giving him more. The pho here tastes good and is cheaper than what you would pay in most Uptown restaurants. I wouldn't come when it's really busy or they might mess up a bit.

We were happy to try it out since it is close to home. Went on a Saturday for lunch. The pho was good, was fresh and had great flavor. We also enjoyed a couple of appetizers (basic spring roll and shrimp rolls). Didn't have to wait long for the food to arrive and the staff was friendly, though quiet and a bit unorganized. It wasn't packed and had 2 people ask us if we needed to be seated and again the same 2 people come to take our order hahaha. We will be going back, especially in during these next few cold winter months!

King Pho has the best PHO on the northwest side of Chicago, I used to drive all the way from the northwest side to little Vietnam located far northeast in the city for PHO but ever since I found this place I will never have to road trip again!! The interior of this place also has great finishes. A friendly owner and staff make for a great eating experience!! My New Favorite Spot for PHO Danny D.

I am not a big soup person, but I ordered the Pho because that is the specialty of the house. If was excellent; especially on a cold day. The portion size was very generous. The restaurant had nice ambiance; brick and wood interior. Nicer than what I expected. I am surprised about the other reviews nocking the service. I thought that the service was fine. A little slow, but we were not in a rush. One waiter agreed to take our picture, which was nice.

  • Joel M.

If it wasn't for the super slow service I would've gave this place 4-5 stars. On a weeknight I would expect this place to be able to handle a full room without having to wait 20 minutes between seeing the server. On the other hand, the food was excellent. The pho was amazing and generously portioned. The pork chop and egg was also excellent. It had a bit different spicing then your average vietnamese pork chop. With that being said I'd probably go back because of the food. But will try to avoid a dinner rush or weekend meal.

  • Pam D.

This place has decent Vietnamese food, and also some Korean items as well. The Pho was good. The brisket meat was very tender. The meatballs were more chewy and not as good as I've had other places. The egg rolls and pot stickers were good too, but I was not overly fond of the sweet and sour sauce served with the pot stickers. I didn't think they went well together. I tried the kalbi for grins. It had a nice flavor, but I thought the meat portion was rather skimpy. The service was fine and the decor was nice, but the place continues to suffer from the same issue we had when it was a Brazilian place. It is too noisy. They need to add something to soak up the noise. If the place were packed it would be deafening. If we were in the neighborhood, we would probably stop in again, but I would not go there as a destination.

  • Patrick M.

When we walked in, half the tables had empty dishes and bowls that needed to be taken away. It wasn't until 45 minutes into dinner that the busboy appeared and started cleaning up. I don't care about service or decor, unless it's very noticeably good or bad. I actually liked the decor andthought the remodel or decor was very well done. I got the Pho with Tripe, Tendon, Meat, and Brisket. The meat itself was good quality. Unfortunately, the heart and soul of Pho, or the broth, was bland and tasteless. I had to junk up the soup with Siracha and Hoisen to get any taste out of the soup. I haven't tried anything else, but the Pho did not meet expectations. If you want good Pho in the area, and it's not closed, take the drive to Hoanh Long on McCormick and Lincoln.

Finally, a serious Pho joint way outside of Uptown's Viet Nam. Got good bubble tea drinks, small parking lot in back and super friendly service. Nice to not have to fight parking and crowds for overrated eats anymore! You know what I mean Sherman and Panther :)

My dude wanted to go back tonight and I let him talk me into it... mostly because the idea of not cooking was very appealing. I'm glad he did because our second experience was MUCH better than our first. The owner recognized us and apologized for our previous experience which was super nice of her. The pho is really good. Really good. I need to try something different next time so I have more to review.

Let me be short: * Awesome Selection of Pho * Awesome Quality Pho * Very fresh ingredients * Very good non-Pho dishes * Service, well, meh... Could be better (loss of 1-star on rating) * BYOB * You should go here and eat some Pho or non-Pho. And maybe bring some wine. That is all.

New pho place? You know I had to check it out. A little far for me but it was on my way to the north side. The pho was decent. At $8.50 a bowl of dac biet I was certainly hoping for something better. My biggest gripe was the aroma and flavor of the broth. It didn't have the strong anise and spice smell/flavor indicative of good broth. Broth color was dark but not very greasy. The meat quality used was decent except for the gristly brisket. I don't understand why some places don't bother to cut off that nasty unchewable tooth destroying gristle. Meat quantity left something to be desired as well but there was enough. The noodles were cooked right and weren't soggy by the end of the meal. The spring rolls were standard level but they use this nasty luncheon meat style pork that has a bouncy pasty consistency that looks and tastes very artificial. It ruined the spring rolls for me, especially since they serve it with the same bottled sauce most places use. We tried the Viet sausage & ham banh mi as well and were very disappointed. Instead of ham, they use that same cheap pasty springy fake tasting processed pork they used in the spring rolls that completely ruins the taste of the sausage. But fret not, there is enough cucumber to mask that nasty fake tasting "ham." If the excess cucumber and fake meat doesn't deter your taste buds, get ready to have the roof of your mouth torn to shreds by the strangely aggressive crust of the bread they use. I'm almost completely sure that it is Italian bread instead of French bread. At least that's what it feels/tastes like. Service was attentive and apologetic for the many small mistakes they made. When I went on a slow Saturday afternoon, they must've put the entire rookie crew on the floor to get some training in or something because we had continually ask for stuff such as our pho veggies, extra bowl, and a pen to sign the check. At least they had a good attitude about it which goes a long way. Decor and ambiance is some of the best I've seen at a pho restaurant since most other pho places concentrate on making good food or not giving a sh*t. I thought the changing color spotlights on random landscape paintings that did not benefit from the strange lighting was weird and the music they were playing was elevator music. Other than that the place is clean and feels comfortable. Look for parking in the rear in the same lot as Domino's and enter through the rear door to skip paying for parking on the street.

Sadly, their well seasoned pho is overshadowed by inadequate service. I write this review with love, in the hopes that they can staff up for busy nights and give their patrons the kind of experience that will garner loyalty. - The sign says, please wait to be seated, but after standing there for three minutes without even the faintest glance in my direction, and after seeing several white men walk ahead of me to seat themselves, I was left with no other choice than to bust my way to a table, hailing a waiter to bring us some menus. - On a Sunday night the place was pretty busy, but only had two waiters and a cashier. Even as people were obviously waiting for serving spoons, checks, and more water, one waiter busied himself bussing tables that could wait! A sign bad training. - We were served our beautiful bowls of pho without chopsticks, spoons, or napkins. Our soup sat cooling while we were left salivating and waiting for our waiter to serve two other tables and pack up to go boxes before we got our utensils. So frustrating! It's such a shame, because all of this overshadows solid Vietnamese food in a neighborhood that needs this variety. Please please work on the service!

I ordered take out last night and that might be why the food wasn't as up to par as a lot of these reviews were saying. I hope to try it at the restaurant next time. I got the pho with beef slices and brisket, crab rangoons, and the spring rolls. Pho with beef slices and brisket: The broth was pretty good. I've had better, but it definitely does the job. Someone earlier had said it has an aromatic somewhat floral taste to it and I would agree. I think the smell comes from the basil. Their basil smelled a little harsher and more aromatic for some reason so that may be why. But beware of the jalapenos! I put all of them in my pho and actually ate one (I love spicy foods) and it was spicyyy. They sure had a kick to it haha The beef was good and tender. I would definitely eat the pho again. Crab Rangoons: After reading all the good reviews about the crab rangoon, I had high expectations. But the shell was overcooked and hard to chew and two of them had barely any filling inside. Sad to say, I was disappointed, but would still like to try it at the restaurant before making my final call on these. Spring Rolls: The spring rolls were ok... I didn't know what the "mystery meat" was... never saw it in my spring rolls before. Seemed like fish cake? Not sure... Overall, the food seemed ok. It's really close to where I live so i will definitely stop by again to get my pho fix. I would like to try the other items like the bun noodle bowls and the thai dishes. They seem pretty good. Will update whenever I end up checking this place out again!

The food is good, I order the vermicilli with pork, shrimp, and egg roll. I would definitely give them a four but their service is super slow. They just need to invest in a good manager that knows how to handle a busy restaurant. Or they just need to cut their tables by half. This is my third time here already and I'll keep coming but only if I have time to spare and not very hungry. Give it a try. :-)

Great place for pho. I started coming here while looking for a new pho place and I've found the spot. The food is great overall. Great pho tai, tasty crab rangoons, great pot stickers and eggrolls. Definitely worth a taste. There's a ton of street parking and the space inside is very open.

Pho is fantastic. Had Singapore noodles and pad Thai also equally very good with good portion size. Service was average. They were pretty slow bringing the entres out. Price was good for amount of food

I got the vegan pho number 65, it had an array of veggies like mixed peppers, zucchini, celery, carrots, broccoli, and a few pieces of soft tofu. I order the larger bowl hoping it would fill me up which it kind of did not, if there was a little more tofu it might have done it or if I had ordered an appetizer I would of came out full. Lovely place, clean, nice decor, friendly staff, and the broth of my pho was clear and good. Also wish they saw seasoned the veggies or roasted them to give my pho some flavor.

Our family has been here multiple times since their opening. They have really improved their service and the pho is very good and consistent. We've tried all the phos and all are excellent. It's so nice to have a good pho place so far out northwest. It's a good place to bring a large family to eat out. We've had good service here and will come back often as it's now a chosen family meet up place. Great value.

Open on a Monday...Awesome!!! Just flew in from Cancun and needed something comforting after bearing the cold weather n snow...my friend suggested this place on the way home....ordered the brisket and tendon pho....boy did that hit the spot. I wasn't even able to finish a regular sized order. Broth was full of flavor an meats were tender and delicious...I will definitely be back for more of the menu.

I love the food. Portions and sizes are very good for the price. The service, on the other hand, was not very good at all. Went back there yesterday and sat there till they took our orders...waited and waited....still no WATER...i ask the waiter who pass by my table for the water, he came back with a pitcher, but NO GLASSES. I laugh my butt off. Then they came back with no plates and utensils, I had to ask for those too. To top that off, the lady who took our orders didn't even write it down. I would expect that she's THAT GOOD...a PRO. Then, she came back with veggie for PHO, and we didn't even order PHO, we order another stir fried noodle dish. The other time I was there with friends, we ask for "extra egg noodle" the girl didn't even write that down either, came back with "pho noodle". Maybe they need to WRITE down the orders instead of trying to memorize it. Personally, I had good experiences in the past with MALE servers, but FEMALE servers are HORRIBLE. Overall, if you go to eat here, DON'T EXPECT a good service from these people ..but do expect good food. You have to tell them and REMIND them often what you want. It look like they're too busy to remember. Recommend: Pho and Rice dishes. PS: I gave 4 stars rating for the food ONLY. However, the services deserve 3 stars or less.!!!

The food here is good, too bad they really need to fix their service. On 2 separate occasions we had to wait until we were half way through with our meals for our drinks to arrive at the table. Not to mention, the 2nd time they brought us a Thai iced tea when we clearly ordered just plain Iced Tea.

Lovely place! While visiting, I did a quick Google search and read some reviews. It's just as good (if not better) than my favorite place in St. Louis. I had carry out but noticed a nice decor and layout. Great service and great Bun dish. Good portion and flavor at a good price.

I just dined here with my family for the first time. I ordered the pho with beef and tendon. I can concur with the other opinions with regard to the service: There was practically none. I mean, they use minimal effort, and are not always present in the restaurant. Secondly, my soup base was sal-ty. Did they accidentally drop the salt shaker in there? I mean I took two measly sips and had to stop immediately. Okay fine, I managed to fish out the beef and two petite pieces of tendon out of my bowl. (I was hungry). All too bad, the restaurant sits in a prime spot, and the interior is nice too. There is a nice ambiance.

My boyfriend and I came here on a Saturday night. It was pretty crowded, but the wait to get a table for 2 was about 15 minutes - not bad. When we sat down, we got our silverware and glasses of water right away - good signs. However, it took about 15 minutes for a waiter to come to even say hi, let alone take our order. When a waiter told us that he would take our order shortly, another waitress had come to take our order. The initial waiter came back to take our order, but the waitress had already take our order, which confused the waiter and myself. I honestly did not know who was our waiter the entire dining experience. Talk about lack of communication. I ordered a thai iced tea, which came out at a decent time, about 5-10 minutes after we ordered. It was just the right amount of sweetness - pretty good. I timed it and it took 50, I repeat, FIFTY MINUTES after we ordered for us to get our one appetizer of spring rolls. The spring roll was okay; the shrimp tasted old and there was an odd moon shape of meat that was supposed to resemble pork. The veggies and vermicelli noodles inside were fresh despite the meat. The wrapping was soft and enjoyable on the outside of the spring roll. It took another 15 minutes after we got our appetizer to get our 2 bowls of Pho. My boyfriend got the beef brisket and meatballs pho, which he seemed to enjoy. His words were: "I enjoyed my food, but it definitely wasn't worth the long wait." I got the seafood pho with egg noodles in a pork broth. When I tasted the soup, it definitely was chicken broth, not pork - but at least the got the noodles right. The imitation crab and squid were plentiful in the soup and the veggies that came with the soup were fresh. Overall, price was decent; food was ok; but service was HORRIBLE. For me, the service just ruined it for me. I will not be returning.

I really like this place. It's nice and open, there's plenty of seating and its very clean. The server we had Mako was excellent. Very nice and came to check up on us often. The food was very tasty as well. The only reason I'm giving it a 4/5 stars is that it is pretty cold in the actual restaurant and it took them a while to take our initial order. Outside of that very happy with the experience and will be back to try more.

We got the crab Rangoon and wings for appetizers. The crab Rangoon were yummy, the wings were not what I expected. I probably wouldn't order them again. We both ordered the pad Thai. I had the chicken, the other was the shrimp. It just tasted like Lo mein noodles, something was missing. The service was not very great. I'm a server so I normally am lenient, but this was subpar. I think they would benefit from having a server in a section instead of all over the place. They all pay attention to one table or two and ignore the rest. We waited 15 minutes for our check even though multiple different servers walked past us and acknowledged our dirty plates with napkins on top. The only reason I would return would be to try the pho, that's it.

My friend introduced me to this place today. We ordered Nem Nuong, Pho and Bun Vermicelli. I've eaten at quite many Vietnamese restaurants, the food was edible here. They're good, I've had better. The servers were friendly. The decoration is nice. The price is decent too. So check it out!

This rating is only for the pho. I ate here twice and ordered the Pho with everything, large. It was very good, but needed just a little more meat. I also ordered egg rolls and what threw me off was the bottled dipping sauce they served with it. I have never eaten at a Vietnamese restaurant that served bottled dipping sauce. I'm afraid to order the noodle dishes because I'm afraid they might not have real prepared fish sauce. Would anybody inform me of what kind of sauce they serve with their noodle dishes?

Was excited that there's a pho restaurant close to home. Had the special pho and the both was bland and the meat was too chewy. Kinda diluted? Went there with my family and none of us liked our food. It was a big disappointment.

Best Vietnamese food in the area, if not Chicago! My wife and I usually go to their other location over in Argyle (Le's Pho) which is way better than that overhyped Tank Noodle, where most of you hipsters like to congregate not knowing the difference between pho and pad thai. Anyway, the service was very attentive and friendly, the interior was a combination of modern industrial and traditional Asian, and the food (which should be the main focus of any restaurant review anyway) was OUTSTANDING! One of my biggest issues with some of the more popular Vietnamese restaurants where most of the clientele happen to be more of the non-Viet variety, is that the food is extremely bland and overpriced. My advice to many of you who don't like fish sauce, spicy chilis, etc. is to stick to your Steak'n Shake and Noodles & Company, while those of us who love authentic ethnic cuisine, can come to awesome places like King Pho and enjoy the true flavors of another culture without worrying whether or not it's been tainted by some self-proclaimed foodie who's watched one too many episodes of Diners, Drive-in's and Dives. Be sure to order the big pho with meatballs, the grilled pork chops with a fried egg and rice, and the pork egg rolls with extra fish sauce in their nuoc cham (dipping sauce). If you forget to add chili oil to any of these dishes, shame on you! Finally, for that one reviewer who had a problem with deep fried, salt and pepper whole shrimp with the shell on, I hate to tell you this, but that's how we Asians prefer to eat shrimp. Imagine that, an Asian restaurant that serves shrimp Asian style! There's more flavor and if you fry the shrimp just right, you can eat the shrimp's head, legs and shell with no problem. Like I said, for those of you who are less informed about Asian cuisine, either do your homework or keep believing places like Panda Express and PF Chang's serve authentic Asian food. King Pho is awesome as is the friendly staff. When it comes to delicious Vietnamese food, King Pho is true royalty! Definitely 10-star food in a 5-star Yelp world!

We went back on March 6, and I promise I will never return. The service Was completely disgusting and the food was gross. I would not recommend Anyone eat here, and would also question the sanitation. I,am a Vietnamese Foodie and have travelled throughout Vietnam over the past several years Over 12 times. Avoid this place at all cost. We only live 5 minutes away at Sauganash village and we are going to try the Saigon Grille or just return Back to Argyle street. We are vey sad and highly disappointed,,,!,,,,,,

The service here is pretty bad. We came here on a Friday night and it was pretty busy. We waited about 15 mins to be seated which was fine. After being seated, we waited for about 30 mins for someone to come take our order. There were people running around all over not really knowing what they were doing. No one was assigned to specific tables which made the whole waiting process even longer. After we ordered our food, we also asked to order some smoothies. The lady told us to hold off on the drink orders for now.... WHAT?! Why can't I order drinks? I don't get it. So we ended up not ordering drinks.. We ordered 4 bowls of pho which took 45 minutes... It was pretty obvious that everyone in the restaurant was getting irritated with the service and the wait. I know this place just opened so the service is not going to run smoothly but this is just ridiculous. Aside from the service, the pho was pretty good. I don't think I would wait that long for pho though. There are other places not too far away that have good pho without the long wait.

Good food, I found this place on Yelp. tried it out went back to it the next day then took the wife there on Friday night. Yes I went there three times in a week. She liked everything that was ordered. This place is worth a try if you like pho or banh mi. I gave this a 5 because it haven't found a dish that I did not like and the wife wanted to go back there the next day. Thank you fellow Yelpers

I ate here on the day that they opened and even though we came in at closing time, we had a great experience. Granted, I never had pho before, but I was impressed. The prices are super reasonable and will keep me coming back. We started out with chicken pot stickers which were fried to perfection. The sweet and sour sauce was a little too sweet for my taste but the crispy but not greasy corners and the filling was super flavorful. After we were served our bowls of pho (I ordered a small and couldn't even finish it - so much food!) we placed a order for crab ragoon. Best ragoon eva! This is a must order. I order a combo pho with filet, meatballs and brisket. The meatballs were delicious but a little too big making it a little difficult to eat. The filet practically fell apart on my chopsticks. By the end of my bowl, all the flavors melded together to make my first pho experience phenomenal. I can't wait to try their bahn mi! Will update this review soon!

What appalling service! Walked in, made eye contact with 2 employees but no one acknowledged us. After standing by the door for a couple of minutes, we were seated then ignored. We had to ask for menus. The server turned her back to walk to another table while my husband was asking about my iced coffee which never came 15 minutes after I ordered it and they gave us our check while our plates were still full of food, as if they couldn't wait for us to leave! Didn't bother to ask how the food was, if we wanted dessert or if we needed refills on drinks. My husband told the server how horrible their customer service was and a couple seated next to us said they felt the same way. They were not busy and even if they were, that is still not an excuse. The food wasn't bad but nothing special that other Vietnamese restaurants don't offer. For the first time in my life, I did not tip because the service was THAT bad.

Thursday night. Not crowded. Same atmosphere as the former Brazilian restaurant this place replaced. That's a good thing. Crab rangoons just arrived shortly after we ordered. They are big! Hot, creamy, crunchy. More subtle taste than the Elephant Tai equivalent. Add a little chili oil to the sauce. Gives it a kick. Not greasy. My beef and tendon pho just got here. I ordered large. Generous. Lime, sprouts, basil, and peppers came on the side. The soup is delicious. Some pho is too sweet but not this. It's beefy and savory but not oily. Noodles are good. Not overlooked. Tendons are soft and chewy. Perfect! Now the restaurant is about half full! Previous comments about bad service have not been observed here. They must have gotten their act together. Only downside was that I had to ask the staff to wipe my table down again because it was dirty. They did it right away. I'll be coming back here as a regular for more pho!

On recommendation of our waiter we chose the #38 shrimp and lemon grass noodle bowl and the #24 sesame beef sandwich with the diet coke and avocado shake with tapioca and mango fruit on top we only paid $20 plus a $6 tip to make $26. We were both pleasantly satisfied with our food. Definitely worth a try I also heard the pork chop and fried egg is good if you like filipino style fried pork chops.

I have been here 4 or 5 times since they opened and I have never had a dish I did not like. They have delicious food and are very receptive to customer feedback. Their service was and still is slow, but you can tell they are improving as the restaurant is open longer and the wait staff gets more experience. It is BYOB and extremely reasonable for the good quality food. Highly recommend this restaurant.

New spot around the hood serving up some decent food. I would call myself a connoisseur of Pho in the Chicagoland Area. I enjoy trying everyone's variations, King Pho's great, a very developed and slow cooked light broth with the accompaniments: Sliced Brisket, noodles, meatballs. They have different kinds but that is the one I enjoy the most. My soon-to-be husband ordered the chicken wings as an appetizer, I felt like they probably did not fry them enough, the skin was still gummy and not very appetizing. The spring rolls (fresh) were delicious and was a great way to start off the meal, finally. We were sitting there for about 20 minutes when I noticed that other people who came in after us were receiving their food, I pointed it out to my husband and just then (15-20 minutes later) the waiter said, "sorry I must have misplaced your ticket" and fired up our meal then. We tried the Pork Bun which is vermicelli noodles with a fish sauce/sweet and sour sauce you pour over it. We also had the BBQ pork banh mi which was absolutely delicious. Nice crispy bread roll with julienned pickled dicon radish and carrots with the BBQ pork and a sauce which I cant quite figure out (maybe a sesame mayo?) Other than the chicken wings and the misplaced ticket, the food was good. The service is "alright". Parking is a breeze but its pay to park. Its BYOB for all you booze hounds. All in all- a decent place to fix your pho cravings.

I heard about this place, willing to give a shot. Parking was not a problem. Everything else, I cant say the same. The place is nice and roomy. The decor is kinda out of touch. Kinda dark and gloomy, not my type. So we sat next to the windows to get some natural light because I like too see what I am putting in my mouth, and I am glad I did. I order the Pho Tai, with the steak on the side. I thought the waiter speaks Viet, so I asked in Vietnamese. He only replied in English, which is fine. Pho arrived in due time, and I checked my steak. It was not cut properly and it was still frozen. There wasnt much neither. I dip them in the broth and my hot bowl of pho instantly cooled down, not cool at all. The veggies was very little, and lacking the main one type which is ( ngò gai ) for any Pho. And I found something moving in my veggies, turned out to be a little snail on the leaf, still alive and moving. My 5 year old was freaked out she cried. Thats why I sat by the bright window. The taste is decent, the portion is ok, the preparation is poor ( the live snail ). For a place of this size and in a nice neighborhood, I expect more. Would try again but not anytime soon.

I've been here twice. First with my parents and brother, then with my grandmother. The first time was great, the second time... Well... My grandmother ordered a VEGETARIAN/VEGAN soup. She found some sort of seafood (crab/lobster... something of that sort) in it. You can imagine how disgusted she was! We bring our waiter over. Her English is inadequate, so it was difficult communicating. After a few minutes, the manager comes over. She explains that they drain the vegetables and the seafood in the SAME strainer. IN OTHER WORDS, IT'S NOT REALLY VEGETARIAN OR VEGAN! My grandmother asked for it to be taken off the bill. Although they did that right, they pressured her into buying something even more expensive, even though she said over and over that she didn't want anything. I will not be coming here again.

I give them 3 stars because they have potential. I really like the fact that they have a variety of things you can't order at other restaurants in argyle. Such as filet pho and nem nuong wrapped. When I got my bowl, the noodles were still stuck to each other and the meat was still cooking. By the time I was done adding side veggies n condiments, the temperature of the broth was warm-cool. I did not like that. I noticed I'm not the only person giving the same feedback on that issue. Please work on that king pho! I really like that they have nem nuong (pork spring rolls with egg roll skin inside). Now if you are going to serve nem nuong, its not the same without the nem sauce. Either you go all in or don't have it on the menu at all! I like the decor of this place. Looks very modern. As far as customer service, it was fine in the beginning until some kid tried to get us to pay more for our bill 15 minutes after we paid and finished eating. Another table had ordered something to go and we were asked to pay for it. I found it pretty offensive when he came off accusative at first only to find out it was really his mistake. Get organized, work on adjusting the temperature of the broth, have the meat more defrosted, and make some nem sauce for the nem nuong!

So I'm basing this off of coming to this place after three visits (in one week!). I was looking for a new Viet place since the one we've been going to just totally sucks for service. This place is really clean and the service is way better. They get pretty busy and so service will be slow during those times- but at least it's justified. On our most recent visit, they happened to be giving away school supplies for all the children in the restaurant at the time- so unnecessary but truly sweet. They truly made me a returning customer- and not just because of that. The food is delicious. I've tried the sesame beef banh mi, the grilled porkchops, the pho soup, and the summer rolls- all really delicious. Their #10 dessert is amazing too! Fruit, with milk, ice cream, and ice- so yummy. Prices are reasonable and food is delicious. Come here!!

They have a very huge Menu, but when I order several dishes, they didn't have them. The fish was not fresh and it was frozen fish. And they didn't even serve desserts although they are on the menu. But my friend said the noodle was really good.

Ok I guess. I stopped in this weekend to take-out food. I ordered and was out the door in 15 min which was fast. It was Sunday at noon. I ordered gyoza, crab rangoon and Pho 51 & 57. It was a 45 min trip drive home because I had to stop at the grocery store also. I ate the gyoza and rangoon right away and saved the Pho for when my roomie came home from work (4:00). The gyoza was ok and came with a sweet/sour sauce I am not used to having with them. I made my own soy/vinegar sauce for them. The crab rangoon were deep fried to long and were hard. I made the mistake of putting the whole carton into the fridge to wait to eat later. I should have taken the meats out and put them in the fridge and left the noodles on the counter. They did not do well in the fridge until 4:30iish. Like I said - MY fault. But I felt the stock was bland. The bean sprouts and jalepenos were crispy and fresh. It seemed like the sauce they included was a mix of sriracha and hoisin. I don't use hot sauce at all. Luckily I had some hoisin at home. The roomie said he would have to try the Pho there to be able to decide if he liked it or not,and he could not tell since there was too much time between bringing it home and eating it. So, I will go and try the Pho again and then branch onto other parts oof the menu. The roomie plans to head over there himself some day. The restaurant was clean and neat and the staff seemed attentive to the customers that were there while I waited.

This is a great hidden gem in the area. I purchased a Groupon and went with a few girlfriends. We shared a bunch of things and were pleased with everything. The two standouts were the Crab Rangoon and Chicken Pad Thai. BYOB is an added plus. The decor is nice and the bathroom is spotless. Plus, the food is really inexpensive. What a great place!

They're still working out some kinks, so after they're running for a bit I bet I'll update this review. The food -- let's start with that, is darn good. Veggies were fresh, crisp, flavors were spot on, portions were good and value was outstanding. So, especially since I work down the street, this place is a Godsend where Ivy's is my only other option for lunch or a light dinner. I'm not a fan of the bright plastic stuff in the window in combination with the more contemporary, upscale interior so I'm hoping they lose that. Otherwise, setting works just fine. And service was timely, friendly, easy. All in all, a good start and I'm definitely going back.

Finally a real vietnamese restaurant up north near my home. Don't have to go to Argyle which is a long drive for me. I can say this place blew Saigon grill away. Saigon tried but failed to serve authentic vietnamese food. Few more fine tuning on their food and it will be the real deal and can compete with Argyle. I'l be back to try other stuff they have.

To start, they did have good pho. I got the beef brisket one, and the broth was very flavorful and the ingredients were quite fresh. I like that they serve the veggies (bean sprouts, basil, chilies, etc) on the side so i can flavor my soup the way I like it. The vermicelli noodles are delicious and they soak up the flavorful broth. The portions are large and i had plenty to take home. I also had their special coffee, which they brew at the table. Not my cup of tea (or coffee, rather). They put sweetened condensed milk in the bottom of the glass, and it ruins the flavor of the coffee. However, their service is an area that needs improvement. I went with three other friends and we all received our meals at different times, which is...a little awkward. The manager did take the time to thoroughly explain the menu to us, which i appreciated even though I've previously had Vietnamese food That aside, this is a lovely little spot in a cute neighborhood and is absolutely worth trying. Very pretty and more importantly, clean and they do have good, fresh food.

I was very excited to try this restaurant. There is not too much Vietnamese food on the northwest side. I stopped in on a Friday at noon and the place had 4 tables, but felt like it was empty. The decor was very strange with 6 kind of lighting and worn down booths (they have been opened less than a month and all the booth seats are ripped). The pho soup was good, but the everything else (egg roll, spring roll, pork chops, and omelette crepe) were bland. The service was not great, waitress disappeared after she dropped off our food. Overall, I would not go out of my way to go back.

Ordered a noodle dish from here last week for takeout and found two hairs in my food. Was so grossed out I threw the food away. I had ordered food from this restaurant all the time and once prior found a hair in my food but figured it was a fluke. But with finding two hairs in my food last week I will never go back there again. That's disgusting.

I went here with my husband today and service got worse. we order coconut meatball which was good. my husband order #60, BIG BOWL and I order #31. I asked the woman with the glasses on (dont know her name) instead of pork, i want beef because pork is greesy. she said "oh... ok" Food came out pretty late than other business day, which was fine by us. but the problem was when my husband's food came out, the bowl was regular bowl instead of big and my food came out and they put pork instead of beef! RIDICULOUS. I DON'T BLAME KITCHEN CHEF'S. I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY SHE LISTENED OUR ORDER AND EXPLANE DIFFERENT TO THE CHEF'S? IF SHE TELL THE CHEF'S OUR ORDER CORRECT THIS DOEN'T HAPPENING. Waste our time and chef's time. Honestly, If I am a owner of this store I will definitely fire her and other servers. They really dont know what they're doing. I really like the other lady she knows what she's doing and she knows how to take care customers. Rest people, enough said. They need more training, training, and training. I gave this place one star because they're really lacking on services. Food is good but that doesn't matter. Always customers first. Anyway, I will return because I'm a REGULAR CUSTOMER. I dont want to see this place gets bad mouthed but I hope they fire her and get a new person with alot of experience and knows how to make customers happy. If they fix this, I believe it will take a while, then I will update my review and give them a better star.

I went here for the first time with my pregnant girlfriend. She had been feeling a little under the weather so I thought some Pho would do her good. I parked right in front then I learned there was free parking in the back lol. The place itself is very spacious & very open. We were seated immediately took us a few minutes to order. We both had a bubble tea, she had oreo & banana (delicious) & I had a mango one without the tapioca. We also both ordered beef filet Pho. The broth itself was very tasty but I was very disappointed in the beef. It was very fatty with a lot of gristle. Now I thought the beef filet was the leanest cut of beef Pho but what I got I think was brisket. We had to pick the fat & gristle off which took way from the enjoyment of our meal. But overall it was a yummy soup. Now the service on the other hand was terrible!! We ordered extra lemon & when that didn't come we asked another server & she brought it right away. We ran it out of napkins & literally had to flag someone down to get them. Remember when I mentioned earlier about it being 'spacious' we could see the staff & kitchen area yet nobody was there when we needed them. Did I mention besides another table we were the only ones there at the time? Yea so what was the issue with the inattentive staff? So rather than giving this place 3 stars I'm gonna have to give it a 2 due to the lack of service.

A new Pho place in the neighborhood. I couldn't be more happy. King Pho took over the place of the Brazilian steak house. They have a nice big space and plenty of tables. I had the beef pho which came with the lemon, jalapenos, basil and bean sprouts on the side. The waiter seems slightly confused at some of my questions and had a hard time answering. The food was delicious and I'm sure the service will improve with time. I know I'll be going back to King Pho!

Maybe I didn't order the right thing for me or the fact that the server was not a wealth of information. I wish he gave me the choice to have the breaded shrimp deveined and all the parts taken off before breading and deep frying. It was kinda gross trying to pick off the head and legs. How is this appetizing? The shrimp spring rolls were delicious and so was the sauce. My wife had the vegan pho soup which she loved. Would I return? Not sure. Maybe I should give it another chance and order something else. The atmosphere was nice. The wait staff was kinda unattentive. I had to ask for my check and then wait again to flag someone down to pay. It wasn't even that crowded. There was lots of families with kids coming in as we left. I hope they do well but I'm still on the fence if I'll return again.

The service needs work, but the young guy named mako was awesome!!! He is very attentive and friendly . The rest of the staff could learn from this guy. Place needs organization.. yay for server mako!

This place is awesome. The staff it's courteous and kind and the food pho it's phenomenal. My boyfriend and I have started going here anytime we are craving pho. Their crab rangoons are huge and their pork pot stickers are fresh. Go try King Pho...

Making it short... This place has okay food with horrible service. We were greeted immediately and given a window table. We noticed flies flying around us, but at that time we weren't too bothered. The menus were nice and there were a variety of dishes you could choose from. We ordered eggrolls and Pho. The eggrolls came in about 7 minutes and the Pho came in about 10-15 minutes which is totally reasonable. We received the Pho as we were finishing up our eggrolls. Once I finished my last bite of eggroll I looked over to my Pho and I immediately spotted a piece of hair. I kind of freaked out and told my boyfriend that there was a piece of hair in my bowl. My boyfriend called over the waiter and once the waiter arrived at our table I told him that there was a piece of hair in my bowl. He asked where and I pointed at where the hair was located. He looked closer and said "I don't think that's a piece of hair". After that came out of his mouth I thought to myself "Uh...are you serious right now...". I repeated to the waiter that it is indeed hair. Without a word the waiter took my bowl and walked back into the kitchen. I know that the waiter, waitress and kitchen staff were looking at the bowl because the door to the kitchen was open. A few minutes later the waiter was dumping something out into the trashcan. More than likely it was my bowl of pho. Three minutes later the waitress brought over a new bowl of Pho for me. She didn't apologize for the piece of hair. All she did was smile at me. I noticed that the new bowl of pho she gave me had less ingredients than the first. At this point, I was just furious with EVERYTHING about this place. 1. Flies flying around us and on our chairs. 2. Waiter defensive when I told him there was a piece of hair. 3. No one had the decency to apologize. 4. I was given less food when it was their fault to begin with. It took them only 3 minutes to give me a new bowl and so they probably re-used some of the ingredients and acted like they were throwing something out(like the piece of hair). I am willing to drive another 30 minutes just to go to argyle. There is a reason why it's easier to find parking here... No one wants to come here. Never ever coming back. I heard the owner owns another place in argyle. If it's true.. I'm avoiding that place as well.

Excellent!!! Quality of food is fresh and tasty. I would say it's comparable or better than most of the Vietnamese restaurants I've frequented in Uptown/Argyle and other VN restaurants in the suburbs. Servers were very attentive and periodically checked if we needed anything. Parking is in the back of the restaurant which is a big plus compared to the street parking in Argyle.

Delicious pho! I had the seafood pho and it had plenty of seafood. Definitely enough for two people. Prices are affordable. Most of the menu is under $10. Yet, I would not recommend coming on a busy weekend night like I did, because service was slow.

I'm from southern California where there are Pho restaurants at just about every corner and some of my closest friends are Vietnamese. I too came here on the Friday night on their second weekend after opening. I ordered the Pho with flank steak, brisket, and meatballs, and the Banh Mi Lemongrass Chicken Sandwich. The Pho had a flavorful broth (although not as rich as I am used to, but perfect for a more health conscious foodie), good cuts of meat, huge portion, and perfectly cooked noodles. And the Lemongrass Chicken Banh Mi sandwich was just as flavorful. I love the pickled carrots. I almost ordered 2 additional sandwiches to go! I can't wait to try more of the menu. I agree that the waiting time to get our food was pretty long--but keep in mind that it was one of their first Friday nights since the grand opening and the place was absolutely packed. Regardless we got greeted, seated right away, and was given our beverages in a timely fashion. The servers were attentive and I could tell were really trying their best to get the food out. I'm sure they just haven't worked out all the kinks yet. The waiter even apologized for the long wait. As for waiting for the check, most vietnamese restaurants make you pay at the register. All we had to do was tell the worker at the register what number table we sat at, he then rang us up and we were out the door. Lastly, the decor is beautiful--the place is clean and open with soothing music that's soft enough so that you can actually have a conversation with your family. Overall a great experience. I know I'll be in here again soon.

I went in for a take out order and was ignored. I finally was able to place my order and the guy who took my order was only half paying attention. After waiting 20 minutes for my Pho and being ignored the entire time, the order came out. He told me I couldn't pay with my card because it was a $10 minimum. It was only then that I realized that what was I. The bag didn't even resemble what I had ordered. He told me I could wait while they got my order, probably about 10 minutes. Didn't really seem to care that the order was wrong, it felt more like I was putting him out. Horrible service and mediocre Pho from my previous experience. I won't be back.

New Vietnamese restaurant. Went here to have pho and banh mi, and they were great! Pho was rich in flavour, and banh mi tasted fresh: add fried onions just for 50 cents. Now, the prices weren't too cheap, but overall decor and services were great. Portions weren't bad at all. The place seemed clean and well kept. Glad that I found this place to have my future phos!

Been here on many occasions. Was there when it first opened. The food was better when they first started out ... Unfortunately there is no consistency in taste .... When they're good they're good, when they're not they're not. Sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you're out of luck. The one thing they do consistently however is provide shoddy service. Good luck getting a refill on your water, having some one ask you how everything is going? The appearance and cleanliness of this place has also gone downhill also ..l and if you ever get a peek into that kitchen it is not very hygienic. Makes one wonder about the quality of the food handling back there. Bottom line - food can be ok at times, but the service sucks!

My to go experience couldn't have been worse. Ordered two pho and broken pot rice dish and Vietnamese iced coffee. Coffee was garbage and before I got five minutes away my poorly packaged soups exploded over the interior of my car because they were too hot for the container. When I got back to the store with said soups in hand they looked at me like I was trying to pull a scam before they so generously offered to make new broths. No apology no telling me how long it would take. Just disappear and back five minutes later. Should be ok this time they said. Thank you for the detailing bill for my car king pho! I'll never be back because of how you handled this. Food was ok, but absolutely horrible customer service, just horrible.

Excellent food, good service, confusing system with the servers, bus boys, hostess - we didn't know who was responsible for what task. It seemed as if service was up for grabs when you needed something. The owners may think all for one and one for all is good. And yet, the servers themselves seemed to be confused.

This was a great find in our new neighborhood! The restaurant is very clean, stylish, and the servers incredibly attentive. We went on a Thursday night at 8pm and the place was 75% full. Did not try the Pho bowl, only because the hubby and I were originally craving Thai. Although the menu has mainly Vietnamese food, we were pleased to see it also has about a 1/2 page of traditional Thai entrees. Appetizers we had were pork spring rolls (delicious) and coconut meatballs and chicken wings. The latter were just not our taste. I had Pad Kee Mao and it was the best I've had anywhere. The husband had Pad Thai and he was also insanely impressed. The owner, Min, spoke with us about 5 minutes. Friendly and caring, she explained that her Thai influences come from living in Thailand for 20 years. Next time we will definitely try to traditional Vietnamese items. We will bring our friends!!

Wanted to like this place. Thought my noodle dish was good, but service was bad and slow. We had the King Appetizer and it was not very good. My husband enjoyed the fried rice. Maybe we will try it again, but the place did not seem up to par yet. Maybe it is still too new.

I'm super happy I have a pho restaurant in the neighborhood!!! Delicious food- I had the Vietnamese meatball pho and loved it! Delicious pork egg rolls! It was a nice touch that the owner came out and personally asked each patron if they were enjoying themselves, you don't see that enough. I can't wait to go back for bahn mi!

We love it! A great place for vegans and meat lovers. The owner, MIn, is super nice and chatted with us for quite some time. The prices are good and the free parking in the back is a bonus. Everything was very clean...including all the condiments that are on your table. I hear it is very crowded on Friday and Saturday nights probably cuz it is awesome and the BYOB :) We went late Sunday afternoon which was moderately crowded for the time frame. Keep up the quality and service and I think there's finally a winner after the Brazilian place couldn't make it in the same location.
