Diabetics at Jamba Juice:

Eating good food at the right time can control your blood sugar, also stop you from craving wrong sort of food. Jamba Juice offers drinks in three separate sizes: 16, 24, and 32-ounce. You can choose the lowest serving size and cut down on sugars and calorie intake. If you're diabetic and concerned about the sugar intake, then you can opt for the smaller 9.5-ounce smoothies available for kids at Jamba Juice.

Foods to Avoid at Jamba Juice for Diabetics:

Jamba Juice is primarily known for its highly satisfying and nutritive smoothies and juices. Almost every smoothie and juice item on the Jamba Juice menu contains sugar. Diabetics are recommended to opt for smaller serving size while ordering at Jamba Juice. Also, avoid opting for creamy treats as all the smoothies offered in this category contain a load of sugars.

Keep the sugar content below 50g per meal at Jamba Juice and ensure that you don't follow it with a heavy meal. A small size regular smoothie is equivalent to a meal for everyone. Classic smoothies at Jamba Juice are also heavily loaded with sugars. Stay away from that section if you are a diabetic.

Restaurant Review Healthy refreshing drinks is what you get when you come to Jamba Juice. I was always hooked to the fresh fruit smoothie with protein mix in. Often there are BOGO delas that bring me back. On my recent trip before lunch, I was disappointed at the quality of my drinks. I had ordered up a mango smoothie, but for some weird reason it tasted overpowering with orange and lacking in sweetness. I swear that they forgot to add something into my smoothie. Otherwise staff was fast at preparing the drink. Pro- healthy smoothies, fresh fruit Con- smoothie lacking in sweetness, likely forgot to add something... Hidden deal- Sign up for email reminders for BOGO days

I came here a lot on the way to the office. Service was always quick and staff was always friendly.

I like Jamba Juice a lot. Last year, while living in Milwaukee I was shocked and disappointed to find out that there is only one Jamba location in the entire state of Wisconsin (State Street, Madison). It's nice being in a city that has Jambas all over the place. Staff here is very friendly, which is the one thing a Jamba franchise can do to set itself apart from all the others. If this location is convenient for you, I recommend it highly.

I just love my Jamba Juice... the best part is the friendly and energetic service. We stopped in on a chilly day in March. The staff were friendly and uplifting and I just felt like it was a regular summer day. They always know how to make the perfect Strawberry Nirvana!

The joy of fruit! At lunchtimes, the wait here can be excessive and they don't seem hugely organised - I nearly stole Joanne's drink. Sorry Joanne. I think Joanne may have given up and gone home, as that drink didn't get claimed while I was there..... But all that said, I popped in today in the evening and the server was really friendly and made me a delicious fruit concoction. As someone else said, these are a great meal replacement. The medium size will take a good 20 minutes to get through. That's a lot of fruit! I like watching them blend it right there too. Calorie obsessive that I am - do check the nutrition info (I like that they have it in store). I know fruit is good sugar, and all that, but 700 calories of fruit sugar and milk ain't so great..... I like the 'just fruit' ones. Yum yum yum. (One day when I feel like treating myself I will have a peanut butter ice cream thing. It sounds amazing.) Minus points for having styrofoam cups which I don't think you can recycle.

Clean restaurant. Fast service. Great smoothies. Good way to re-hydrate your body after tearing it up at the clubs the night before. I am a big fan of a lot of their smoothies and usually take about 5 minutes to figure out which one I want to splurge on whenever I get in there. I do like how I can add whey protein to the smoothie too.

When it's effin hot outside and it's too hot for me to chew and swallow solids, I just want to lounge and sip. Jamba Juice is a good quick meal replacement for me... I lived off of this back when I worked in retail during college. I likey their Orange dream machine, a distant cousin to an Orange Julius. Spppppsss.. Try the secret menu and get a starburst or a White gummy bear. And you're welcome.

You can't go wrong with a smoothie. With an extensive menu, there's an overwhelming amount of choices ranging from dairy free to booster. I like that you have a choice between frozen yogurt base or all fruit. I'm a fan of no dairy in my smoothie because if you're putting milk, etc. in a smoothie; it's then called a milkshake. The fruit combinations are always good. The store itself is tiny and gets really full during the lunch hour. The staff here is especially nice and friendly. I've never had a bad experience here. Also, the store is extremely clean and bright. Jamba Juice is good for those days when you're thirsty, but don't want coffee or tea.

This is such a great location for a Jamba juice. I remember taking a break from State Street shopping (which is fab and better than tourist-infested Mich Ave, imho - although, a really great shopping spot is near the North/Clybourn stop on the red line) to grab a smoothie and chill at their outdoor seating with my sister last summer. It's a pretty small Jamba, so I guess we were lucky to get seats. Anyway, it's a great place to rest your feet and people watch while enjoying a heavenly smoothie. My faves - mango-a-go-go and mega mango. All-fruit menu is great too. Don't forget the free boosts :oP. Yum yum yum! Jamba Juice - how can you go wrong?

I'm not a huge smoothie drinker, but came here to use a Groupon. I had a Strawberries Wild smoothie (creamy blend of apple/strawberry juice, strawberries, bananas, nonfat frozen yogurt, ice) and a Gobble'licious sandwich (sliced roasted turkey breast topped with provolone cheese, field greens, and sliced red bell peppers on a focaccetta roll and served with dijonnaise on the side). The sandwich and smoothie were both alright, but I'm not going to rush back for lunch when there are so many other lunch options in that area.

I've gone in a number of times to this location, & usually it doesn't make much of an impression. Today, however, I was greeted warmly, told about a special oatmeal deal that this particular location had, & to top it all off, the food was tasty. I got the oatmeal (slight mix-up in order, but it's ok ... I ate the apple cinnamon instead of the blueberry blackberry ... no use wasting food, y'know?) & a 16 oz. Mango Metabol-something. The oatmeal was quick & good (steel-cut oats, apples, cinnamon - maybe a little more brown sugar, but no matter). The Mango hit the spot. Apparently, they were running a special at that location = oatmeal for a buck! Massive savings. The staff there was extra-pleasant & not in that phony way you see so often. I'll definitely go back when I'm in need of a smoothie fix. PS: Picture is deceiving; there is no seating.

I went in on Sunday night 4/22 to get a smoothie because I had a scratchy throat and Jamba is always the answer. I was wearing my pajamas because I live just down the street. Apparently, my wallet fell out of my pajamas! The manager, Raven, called me the next day and saved my entire life. All the cash, credit cards, gift cards, ID, etc. were all still contained. I came by later the next day after work to retrieve, and Berto was so friendly and happily returned my wallet. To Raven, Berto, and Christina (I think?) who was on staff when I came to retrieve my wallet, THANK YOU SO MUCH. The character displayed speaks highly of your organization, and I can't say enough about how grateful I am to have my wallet back. Know this, I will tell this story for the rest of my life, and Jamba will always be my preferred choice for smoothies and wheatgrass shots moving forward. Thanks again so much! I love you Raven! You have a lifelong customer and brand advocate! Also, the five fruit frenzy was delicious!

I love Jamba Juice smoothies, but today I made the mistake of getting one of their pre-made salads. The lettuce was completely wilted and borderline rotten. Unfortunately, I didn't make this discovery until I got back to my office and I didn't have enough time to take it back, so I ended up throwing the whole thing away. :(

Jamba Juice is great. I recommend Mango Mantra, Strawberry Nirvana (both lighter options) and Bananaberry. I stop at this one couple of times a week and have always received quick service and yummy drinks. It is a delicious and smart breakfast to start your day with. Though it can get pretty expensive if you stop in on daily basis.

  • Amy H.

These smoothies are tasty, but I never go out of my way for a Jamba Juice. I guess I'm not really a smoothie type of gal. They are quite expensive, but worth the price if you're craving a fresh fruit smoothie. Whenever I catch a cold I always go to Jamba for the cold buster smoothie. Whatever is in it always makes me feel better.

I thought the service at this one was great! The staff is really friendly and accomodating and they made my smoothies super fast! The drinks ARE expensive and I would suggest getting the smallest size.. I got a medium strawberry and it made me so full and stuffed!

I heart the all-fruit smoothies, the boosts are a great way to make a meal out of blended fruit - but minus points because they have no seating inside (although they do have outside seating, but how much "el" noise can a person handle on a lunch break!)

I LOVE Jamba Juice. I recommend Citris Bliss, Raspberry Rainbow, and the Peanut Butter Moo. Get the energy boost. Very refreshing.

Walking in here can be scary sometimes. The people behind the counter are nice, but the last few times I've been here, they've scream "HELLO, WELCOME TO JAMBA JUICE" which can be unsettling if you don't like loud people. For some reason, a few times when I order strawberries wild, it doesn't come out as thick as I'd like it and they've remade it for me without a problem and it tasted great. It is a tiny space and gets packed during rush periods.

Another one of my favorite summer spots! I've also found a whole new love for Jamba Juice ever since they introduced their low(er) calorie smoothies- just as good and half as many calories! The strawberry nirvana is my favorite and I always get an immunity vitamin in it to keep the germs away!

I go here daily because the Jamba Juicers are as happier than any I have encountered in other Jambas. They are full of smiles and hop all over the place to make the customers feel welcome and important. I get the triple revitalizer made with all carrot juice but I have tried everything on the menu and have found it all delicious and fresh.

I have been to this location a few times. The people that work here are friendly and seem to be happy. There is typically a line, but they work really hard to get people in and out quickly. They have gotten my order correct each time I went. The place is clean and I will probably return again.

Damn - I only came here because I was saddened to see the location on Michigan Ave was CLOSED for business. Night and day from my last Apple n' Greens smoothie. It was thick, gritty and flavorless. I was literally picking pieces of lord knows what out of my mouth every two seconds. My co-worker ordered the Mega Mango smoothie and single wheat grass shot. He was really excited about the shot and claimed it was his go-to. He was also highly disappointed with the outcome. The same or different nasty remnant thing was in his smoothie too... what's up with that? Do I want to know what it was? OMG. I can't. Needless to say, I threw it away before even making it back to the office. My co-worker said he didn't want to be wasteful so he kept drinking it, making a stank face with each sip. This literally just happened 15 minutes ago... I couldn't wait on this review. Gross, gross, gross.

Frozen fruits, pre-made mystery liquids, and sherbet ice cream. Then charge $5-$6 per drink If you only make smoothies then I expect you to be making them at least somewhat fresh. Company sucks, go to a random Chinese restaurant and you'll get a $3 smoothly made with fresh mangos

Soon as you walk in the smell of oranges and different kinds of berries and fruits punch you in the face which is very pleasant. Found this place through the app Happy Cow for vegans and vegetarians from a classmate. This location is very small and I think there is only one table to sit at. Right across the street from the historic Chicago Theatre. Variety of different smoothies and juices to choose from, also shots of wheat grass and salads I believe.

This place smells like a morgue. Fortunately, it's small enough for you to wait outside while your juice is being made and still hear your name called. The juice is great (as with the Jamba Juice in Evanston). If they offer an energy boost, say no.

  • Takelya W.

the juice is a bit pricy but, is worth it. it's like taking a small sip of heaven. the aroma can be smelled as soon as you walk into the doors. maybe not a great place to go for peace and quiet die to the blenders but, your mouth will thank you for the visit

I sometimes get lucky to order and get my smoothie fairly quickly, but on long waits in the end is definitely worth it. I'm a big fan of fruit smoothies and when I got introduced to Jamba Juice I knew I would be coming often! I've tried most of their fruit smoothies and never a disappointment for me. Very refreshing on a summer day and once I'm done with my smoothie I wish I could have another one :( I come to this location frequently and never had a problem with the staff or the quality of my smoothie. I only order their smoothies so this is heavily based on their smoothies and not on any other options.

I got handed a coupon this morning and it read that I had to find out its value at a local Jamba Juice. I went to the one near Channel 7. The girl didn't smile, she looked at her co-worker and said, "Ho' you look dis up?" She was quite disheveled. He said the coupon was worth a dollar off. But, by that time, it didn't matter. I wouldn't go there if the drinks were free. "Justina, " or whatever her 3-syllable name was, needs to get some home training.
