Yum. Had a wrap with chicken shwarma & lots of veggies & sauce. I loved it, want to go back soon to get a CYO Bowl. Love all the choices & everything was fresh. Nice simple clean interior too.

It's rare I find a good Mediterranean place that I actually like everything I eat. Often times it can be hit or miss. I found this place as it's next to my new dentist and I like that it really is quick and you can see all the sides and salads out behind the glass. I got the rice place with steak schwarma, the chickpea salad,Tzatziki, cucumber and tomato salad and it was delish! I ordered takeout last night too for a second time and it was great. The only downside is you have to order $15 minimum pre-tax so it was a lot of extra add-ons for just one person.

I'll admit... I was pretty mad when the food arrived. I ordered online for a late office lunch around 2:30 and it took almost two hours to get our food delivered. I have to say, at that point survival mode had kicked in, and I would have probably eaten anything. As I opened my perfectly packaged food, I could tell things were going to be cold and mushy. This made it clear it wasn't the restaurant's fault, as hot food would have indicated a slow kitchen. Honestly, one bite in and I wasn't mad at all about the wait or the food temp. My wrap was super good. I liked the "make your own" option, and went with doner kebab. tzatziki salad, greek olives, pickles and double garlic. It was so flavorful and satisfying, I completely forgot I was only minutes from starving to death. And the house made pita chips? Oily and devine. Crispy, thin, salty and just wonderful. Definitely needed a napkin with those bad boys. The entire office agreed it did not matter how cold and soggy everything was, and that it was totally worth the wait.

First time here and used a redeye BOGO deal. I ordered the create your own plate with saffron rice, spinach, chicken, tabouli, cucumber sauce, red cabbage and tahini. Ingredients were fresh, vegetables were crunchy, spinach wasn't wilted, chicken was moist and flavorful. Great location - steps away from Belmont redline and halsted bus. Great open space. Lots of light and wonderful with windows open.

Delicious! Came in today because I saw they were giving away free wraps for their grand opening special and loved the falafel wrap! The falafel tasted super fresh and homemade and I saw they use organic chickpeas which is awesome! The tomato and cucumber salad in the wrap was delicious. I got garlic sauce and spicy tomato inside and thought the spicy tomato wasn't for me a little on the hot side but still very much enjoyed my wrap! Will definitely come back :) Good prices for wraps between 7-9 dollars. Inside has a cool vibe to it with side table and a large wooden table going down the middle good if you come alone or with others!

The food here is really good and fresh. I had a wrap which was bigger than I thought it would be (good thing since sometimes places can be cheap with ingredients). The staff is also very friendly and the interior is really nice. They also have ginger ale with real ginger and it's all natural. Long story short, the food and drinks here are very flavorful and fresh. My favorite Mediterranean place to eat now in the city.

I wandered in here one day and am so glad that I did. I once came here 4 times in one week- the food is so fresh and healthy but tasty that it's addicting! You can make your own wraps or plates with your choice of meats & toppings. The chicken, steak, and falafel are great choices. The steak is $1 extra which is kind of a bummer. The red pepper humus is fantastic to put on your wrap. My only complaint is that sometimes the portion of meat isn't that much and I get a wrap full of veggies. I definitely recommend the hot sauce to add on top! I live in the area and will continue to support this place based on the freshness of the food!

The food was alright for Mediterranean. I would prefer Roti - as IDOF is bland in comparison. I had the vegan platter - good but nothing too exciting. The garlic sauce was delish. My biggest complaint was in ordering our dessert - a baklava mix which included one topped with pistachios which I was really excited about. First bite and I thought I cracked my front tooth :( it had crushed up pieces of pistachio shell. The staff was really nice and offered to replace or refund. In the 15-20 mins after though no one removed the remaining packages from the shelf which makes me worry for the next person.

I dream of flafel is good, consistent middle eastern food served Chipotle style. I had the chicken Shawarma, doner kebab with some flafel. Flafel were moist on the inside freshly prepared. Chicken Shawarma and doner kebab were perfectly prepared. Place is clean and employees are friendly.

This is set up like an assembly line fast food place, similar to Chipotle. I had a very positive experience. The food is good. I had the Create Your Own Plate with pearl couscous, chickpea and quinoa salad, falafel, tabbouleh salad, pickles, and a red cabbage salad. It even came with pita bread, which was thicker than ones I've had before but it was also fluffier than I've had. The portion size is very generous and even had leftovers from lunch. Besides the good food, I liked the space. There's plenty of different seating options from tables, bar stools, and even couches. Lastly, I really appreciated the service. Small gestures like offering samples of their falafels and coming by the table to ask how we were doing really left me with a good impression.

This is my go to spot. I eat here at least 2x a week. I always get the chicken or steak wraps and they're always great. Make sure you get your lunch card. 10 meals and the 11th is free.

I don't even understand why anyone would like this place. Nothing is authentic. Portions are small and its a rip off! The only thing I enjoyed was the pita bread. Sharwarma was salty, Tzaziki was overpowered by the dill, and hummus was bland.

Food is REALLY good! Vegan/vegetarian and gluten free friendly. Great fresh flavors price is probably a little high but the quality is worth the extra couple dollars.

Another one in the class of Chipotle-style Mediterranean cuisine. Since there is inexplicably no Roti north of the Loop yet, IDOF is probably my new go-to for this style of food in Lakeview. I ordered the CYO (create your own) salad, with spinach, spring mix, chicken shawarma, tomato/cucumber salad, tzatziki salad, pickles, and the garlic sauce. Pita on the side. It was fantastic! Portion size was great, and the flavors blended together quite well. Certainly satisfied my craving. Hope to return soon!

Whoa. The interior of this place is way cool. It's hard to believe that this used to be that ancient Japanese grocery store/trinket shop. Oh, but this is a restaurant, so maybe I should write about the food. It's...it's..okay. They've just opened this location and the service line team is not quite up to the challenge. The offerings include typical Mediterranean fare in a Chipotle-like line. You can get wraps, plates, or a couple of other methods of delivering the food to your gullet. I opted for the plate with chicken, rice, and spring greens. The chicken was flavorful, if not a bit paltry. The greens were greens - fresh, crisp, good. The rice was just OK. Everything on the line looked freshly-made, so that's good. I would not rush back to spend $11 on a meal like this, though. The highlight of my visit came at the very end. Their trash receptacles are the kind that offer round holes in the top of a counter - you're supposed to slip your trash into the hole. One problem if your order a "plate" meal. The cardboard plate they give you will not fit into the hole. You need to fold it (not a particularly easy task) and then shove it in. Probably should've caught that in the pre-opening stage.

Pretty good falafel place for the serving size and the price. The ordering is kind of confusing, but you'll figure it our.

I frequent all of the Middle East restaurants on the North side, and IDOF is my absolute favorite. Why you might ask? First and foremost are the extremely generously sized sandwiches, and salads which always use the freshest ingredients . The meat is always fresh and juicy and the falafel is crisp on the outside, soft and succulent in the inside, with none of that greasy taste the so many restaurant falafels suffer from. To top it off, IDOF prides itself on using 100% organic chickpeas. Prices are great and don't miss the lentil soup which is also my favorite in Chicago. You can top off your meal with some great baklava and homemade chips. But I saved the best for the last. The owner/manager Imran is the nicest person you can know. He is always there making sure that the food is the finest possible and the place is clean, neat and welcoming. His staff is fabulous, and always welcoming and extremely helpful. Angelis is as sweet as they come, as is Ellen. I can't say enough about the staff and the chefs. Highly recommended from a long time middle east food lover!

Nothing to write home about. The marketing was really much better than the food and because of the marketing, the disappointment was quite high. It was also not cheap. The chicken was dry and the lamb just was not good. I would recommend walking a few yards up the block to the no name middle eastern place.on belmont.

I was out in Lincoln Park one night, and I totally didn't know that there was a location on Belmont. I love this place because it's right next to my work in the loop, and now it's in Lincoln Park!!! I am completely addicted. The interior is amazing, and the employees are super helpful and friendly. The food is amazing as usual. I love the steak and rice with a side of falafels and some veggies!!

Very mediocre place with limited options. Last time I went there, the chicken shawarma wasn't cooked properly. It could also be because I went in at the last moment just before the kitchen closes, but that is no reason to serve uncooked chicken.

I built my own falafel wrap and everything tasted great. The falafel was flavorful and crispy, the fillings had great texture and flavor, and the hot sauce was tasty. Adding olives was a good call. They toasted the wrap before serving and it was pretty delicious. Actually the only thing that tasted a bit off was the fountain Pepsi. I would definitely come back.

I don't know why anyone would give this place less than 5 stars on yelp. The food is good, it looks good, nice staff, all the amenities & extras you could want. Vegetarian friendly! Healthy eating friendly! My only suggestion for improvement would be to charge slightly more and include all the toppings in the price, more like chipotle. Charging extra for pickles or shredded cabbage seems unnecessary. But otherwise keep up the good work!

A great place to stop for lunch! Their food is always fresh and delicious, the staff is friendly, and the location is perfect for sitting down and watching the foot traffic pass by. The falafel is excellent, and not under or overcooked like some other places I have been to. Their lentil soup is delicious as well (ask for a lemon slice!), though it could be a bit thicker. But I love the place and come here often. Being close to my work is also a big plus.
