I was so excited to see more restaurants opening in this area, and even more excited for I Dream of Falafel, because I had heard positive buzz. But this place was kind of terrible, which is a shame. It's cute and clean and modern inside, and the concept is similar to Benjyehuda (which I LOVE), but my chicken shawarma wrap left me with--no exaggeragion--HANDFULS of grease. It was running down my wrists. And to top it off, the food was really bland. Bland and greasy--yum! My stomach was churning for hours afterward.

I had only been to the Loop location, but today my work peeps and I went here. I am still in awe of how wonderfully seasoned the food is, but still so fast!! People compare it to Chipotle, but, in my opinion, that is all the have in common. The caliber of ethnic cuisine here is the same as a sit down place, which is not the same with Chipotle. Chipotle throws things in wrap, rolls it and throws it in the bag. It's good because of the way they all smush together. IDOF's quality of ingredients can stand alone. I can just eat the falafel or hummus.

This is the only place in the loop I go to for lunch anymore. I use to do Mezza(rude as heck) and Roti (OVERPRICED) and then I found this gem. I like healthy, inexpensive items for lunch, and IDOF is the ONLY choice. Their lentil soup is full of flavor and comes with pita bread. They NEVER charge you for extra sauces, and they give you as many as you want. They IDOF sauce made with habaneros is wonderfully sweet with a punch of heat at the end. Unlike other reviews, I don't feel their falafel is dry. It's very fresh and tasty- ans they put like 6! in a wrap! You can get pickled turnips ( which most places don't have and really make the wrap), and a delicious cabbage salad on the wrap.... In fact, everything here tastes fresh and have never had a bad meal. But the real reason I keep coming back here- because lets face it, when you are hungry you will eat anything- is the staff. I don't know how many people are here at lunch. There is usually a line out the door and hardly a place to sit - but the staff always remembers me. I don't come here every day, in fact, I go weeks without coming sometimes because I am not in my office.... They always smile and ask how I am doing like we are old friends- make small talk about the day. Most times they remember what I usually order and prepare it without me asking. How could I not chose to come here for lunch when I not only do I get a healthy, yummy treat- but they are excited to see me. They are happy to have me. I cannot say this about ANY other place in the loop. Adrian that starts to prepare the soup before the words even come out of my mouth, Blanca who always smiles and is so kind to every customer. She acts like every sandwich she is preparing is for her own personal friends, and then there is Carlos, the happy-go-lucky is everywhere and do everything guy. I think he's the glue that holds this place together. Always a kind word, a smile, a joke...he should be MVP for IDOF. This obviously isn't Gibson's where I am dropping some heavy cash on lunch- I probably spend at most $7 bucks- yet they treat me like such a valued customer. This is important. When restaurants know you have a ton of options to choose from and they treat you like you are family and remember you. Well, IDOF, when it comes time for lunch- I don't forget you either!

This location just recently opened near my work, and now I might as well endorse my paycheck over to them! I come here to eat, at a minimum, once a week. The space may get a bit cramped at time due to the amount of people coming through over lunch, but once you sink your teeth into a mouth-watering falafel or succulent shawema, you too will become one of these people waiting in line. I highly recommend checking this place out, especially if you like quick, precise service, and tasty Mediterranean cuisine

Pretty decent food with quick and easy choices. This can be the Chipotle of Mediterranean cooking. I like pretty much anything they have to offer.

Super fast during the lunch rush. The falafel taste excellent and the chicken shawerma is really good.

This was my first time having falafel and it was delicious. It was a great first experience, everyone was very friendly and helpful. I definitely hope to return.

There are better places, but this place is clean, convenient, and the food is good enough. I liked that they have several different sauces to try and several toppings to choose from. Falafel was decent for $2 for 4. They do give you a punch card for a free lunch after 10 buys. All in all, a good option outside of your usual lunch spots.

A middle eastern restaurant that has no olives? That is just wrong. If you want a non-chain middle eastern restaurant in the loop that actually serves real middle eastern food, go to Taza's.
