Pros: Weirdly the only place to get a gyros in Terminal 3. Very strange since it's Chicago and those people love their gyros? Decent gyros. Cons: Employees are insanely rude and it took too long to prepare my meal. For goodness sake, the meat is already cooked! Rotating around on that thing. Just slice it off and throw it on a pita.

Years ago before O'Hare was renovated, I discovered a place that was highly patronized by the employees and the flights crews. So I stood in line with them and I discovered the Italian Beef Sandwich. Cut to present day, the terminals are all new and modern. However, it seems the quality of food is not the same. I wish I knew what happened to that tiny counter and griddle. Though Gold Coast makes similar food, it is kind of mass produced and the sandos here just arent quite up to par but they'll do in a pinch when you need to eat and jump on a flight

Falafel at a hot dog joint in the middle of an international airport? Yes, please. Of course, buying falafel at an international airport automatically earns you a security pat-down, but it's totally worth it.

Note: This review is for the Gold Coast Dogs in the Concourse G rotunda, near the American Eagle gates. A great deal considering you're trapped in the airport! The standard condiments are Chicago-style of course, but they'll pretty much do what you want (call me weird, but I like mine with mayo, onions, and maybe relish.) They make it only when you order. I've had both the char-dog and the bratwurst, and both were grilled, hot and tasty. Service is quick, though it may be a bit short on friendliness. Dog and a drink for well under $10 ain't bad. Lots of table seating around this area as well, or just make everyone jealous on the plane (especially on the Eagle flights).

Really quick service and an excellent Chicago Dog option even for a quick layover. Excellent dose of sport peppers made for a well balanced dog. Good snap in every bite and a nice griddling. Fries were good too, and everything was packaged well to run off to my connecting gate. Only drawback was no veggie dog for my sad vegetarian friend.

I got the Italian beef sandwich before my flight. It was messy good. The only problem is that the cook wrapped it the wrong way. This made it even more of a mess. If you have time, head to Mr Beef before your flight. It's like an 30 minutes from the car rental lot.

I work at the airport and the only I get at this place is a gyros or a pizza puff. Thats only after I really get sick of all the other limited choices on a tight budget. This place used to give airport employees a 10% discount but that disappeared quickly. I guess the other food is ok but too expensive. I hate the french fries and the only reason I'll get them is because the combo is sometimes more practical...when starving. I've had Gold Coast outside the airport and they are much better, cheaper and tastier.
