I'm standing in your bar right now waiting for GAME SIX of the Stanley Cup and your DJ is legitimately AWFUL. you're kidding with him right now right? You're trying to get a crowd ready for the game is he's playing music that isn't even relevant right now. Killing the mood of the whole bar. TERRIBLE. Bartenders = nice and amazing. Bar = great set up, food looks great. DJ? Complete disappointment. UPDATE: this DJ no longer works there! So go there!

A 3 star place overall - but knocking one down because they refused to honor our reservations made through yelp... even with the confirmation e-mail. Our friends arrived before us, and I had forwarded her the e-mail confirm, and when she arrived the manager told her they didn't have a reservation for us, and when she produced the confirmation, he told her it was useless, they didn't have any tables, we could sit at the bar if we wanted. I never got the chance to circle back with the management staff about that - because I was less than happy... especially as they had tables reserved for 9:30pm at 6:30 when we arrived. That's just stupid. I drank beer, but my friends complained that the drinks were a very weak pour. The bartenders told us that the other trivia patrons sitting at the bar were cheating the whole time, but the trivia host did nothing about it to my knowledge.

I have eaten at Flagship multiple times and the food is pretty consistent and a decent option. The carryout and service is why they get dinged a couple of stars. First off, they mess up my order every time (EVERY) time, whether it's getting charged for an extra soup, forgetting something or being overcharged. Second if you order on grubhub and want carryout it charges you 20% for a tip. We have called them and they always tell us it's grubhubs fault, but then we will order a couple of weeks later and it's the same thing. Something tells me this is a setting they aren't changing but it's insane to think I'm going to tip 20% for me to walk 2 blocks to pick up my food. I mean it's annoying to try to place an order and then have to call the bar, it just seems a little shady to me that this is built in. The last time we were told they were to busy to look into it, so we ordered from somewhere else. I will also say that their reservation policy is also a bit suspect, you can walk in and the place will be empty but they won't sit you because every table is reserved. Hey I guess as long as they can keep filling the tables they can keep doing this, that's why I have my fingers crossed a new bar comes to the area soon.

Went to pony before the last Hawks game after I was told no reservations, so I arrive early and tables are all being reserved by owner (see my review), ok whatever Pony owner is a DB. Ok, I get it but can't waste time for the finals and gotta find a table fast! Walk over to Flagship as when I had walked by previously it was empty. Walk in and EVERY table has a reserved sign on it. Again, this is a bar who has told me time and time again no reservations. Ok cool, douchebag bar #2. Good to know.

Enjoyed eating at the restaurant, however, on a separate occasion GrubHub order was 50% wrong. Their food was still delicious, albeit incorrect so they still get 3 stars. Hopefully next time you will read your online orders a little more closely!

This place saved my group of friends from crashing and burning and allowed us to continue a long day of drinking into the night with their yummy food and drinks. We ordered fish tacos and quesadillas and washed them down with one of their 128 oz cocktails. It was tough work but the 5 of us were up for the challenge. We had just been at burger fest and were given BOGO coupons for Flagship, so I'm not sure if the experience would've been this great if it hadn't been so cheap, but I'd definitely come back on a day when I'm super thirsty!

Flagship Tavern and Grill is a good option in the area for some tasty food, some of which is a bit ore unique than the norm. It's also a nice venue to kick back, relax and have a couple brewskis. I've been to Flagship a couple times - once for brunch and once for some drinks + snacks. For breakfast I had the Classic eggs benedict which consisted of poached eggs and ham on top of biscuits smothered in hollandaise sauce. I gobbled up every last bite of this meal! I enjoyed this dish however it came with some "breakfast potatoes" which I wasn't fully sold on. Flagship will sometimes have beer specials and if they do, jump on them! I was tipping back $4 pints one afternoon and they were some good Revolution & Lagunitas options though nothing overly unique. Their poutine is delicious and has a fun spin on it. It's got the fries, the cheese curds and some pork. But if you're looking for gravy, you aren't going to find it in Flagship's version of poutine. Instead of gravy, they use a green chili to envelop their dish. It's quite a spicy touch which I'm usually not into but with the ingredients - it all worked really well. Flagship's poutine is the perfect thing to munch on while having some suds!

It feels like a break up. I have been coming here for months since I moved around the corner. It's not always busy, but when it is (such as sport event and parties) the bartender always recognized me and she will run over and tell us to give her a few minutes to figure something out. Wether it was at the bar with her or at a table, she found us a seat. She was great. The main reason why I'm posting this is because I found out she no longer works there and also have seen the recent post of the manager/owner being inappropriate. As a witness to this several times as a customer sitting at the bar, the bartender numerously had to get involved and defuse the situation by either distracting him with something else. I have even seen her leave from behind the bar to calm customers down. Watching her work was kind of cool how she handled herself and controlled the situation. I'm not sure why she is no longer there, but clearly it was because it wasn't a healthy environment. At least she kept some sort of control, now it's just terrible. No one I know or recognize is in there now. All depress, dead, with an awkward staff. It sucks that this "use to" be my neighborhood bar. I'll be going to the pony from now on.

So it's dead in here, but is it really ever okay for the bartender to sit far from the bar with her boyfriend in a booth? Apparently she's been here for 1 week and hopefully won't last long. I wish I liked this bar - it has potential. Service because of bartender and bf isn't great and I told myself not to get the mussels because that isn't bar food, but I did it anyway and regretted it. The toast is basically white bread and the mussels are varied in shape so varied in level of cooked. Bad idea. Friends both had chicken and waffles that were horribly overcooked. The siracha syrup is the real deal though. I'll come back and hope to like it more next time.

Wow I go to lots of sports bars and socialize with everyone. However I'm amazed with the burger at this place. Steve the manager came and personally recommended the burger that I tried is out of this world, looks like they got a customer for life. Thanks to Nate and Steve for being so hospitable.

I have been here twice and the scene has been pretty much the same typical bar scene. However, the food is pretty good. I first went here about a year ago with some friends. We were having dinner there. There was a separate party going on to the left of the entrance but it didn't seem crowded or swamped. I forgot what everybody ordered, but I had a chicken sandwich with fries. The chicken was tender and the fries were crispy and delicious. I also liked the layout and how the TV's are lined up being the bar. I have since been back briefly, but I will come back here again soon.

Came here on a Thursday night since it's close and we had a friend over from out of town. The place was packed and everyone was playing trivia. I really like the vibe of this place on the weekdays since on the weekend it's more club like. The bartenders were really nice and we tried a new shot, fireball with rumchata, pretty good. However, really disappointed with the food. We ordered the chicken tenders and waffles thing because it had a star next to it, and it was pretty gross! The waffle part was inedible, super hard, must have been leftover from yesterday or something? And the popcorn shrimp was alright, but not worth the $12 for the tiny basket we got. Supposedly is was supposed to be a half pound, but they must have been including the weight of the basket. I'll be coming here for drinks but stay away from the food.

Came after Volleyball and they do sponsor teams so FYI if you are looking! We should have with this place. I had the Chicken tenders and quinoa waffles. I was advised the quinoa waffles are "different" but if you like quinoa you'll like it. It was awesome! I like healthy and don't mind a healthy taste. This one you wouldn't have even guessed. The chicken tenders were flavored fantastically and just right crispy and tender. Drink specials were great. $4 drafts. $7 build your own burger on a Tuesday. My favorite part about this place was the music!! Hip hop the whole time! I'll be back to dance for sure!

Our group of 16 was sat at two table booths for 10 minutes before a very rude "owner" came over to tell us we could not stay there. Reasons for that were vague and not adequate to boot us from the only area that could accommodate us together. Many other open booths, unmarked with reserved signs, were unavailable to us. Yes, we were 'away fans' for the game- but just looking for a dinner and game spot... I was embarrassed for the staff having to obey this 'owner.' Looked like a nice place though.

Flagship is exactly what I want in a bar. I've been here about 4 times and will be back. Great atmosphere and people, both staff and other customers are always friendly. I always seem to meet cool people here. Also, there's usually a good mix of people. Whether I've been here Saturday night or to watch an evening game there are people here in their 20s, 30s, and 40s. I like that I never feel like the oldest or youngest person in the bar. It's a great venue to watch sports. Flagship was one of the few places that played the ISU games during March Madness. I was just there watching the Blackhawks last night and had a great time. Maybe I'd feel different if the hawks had lost! They put the Cubs game on a screen for that one guy who wanted to watch it, so they seem to be accommodating if you want to watch a game other than what they already have playing. The food is delish! My friend and I devoured the poutine last night. Also, Wednesday is $2 tacos! Now that the weather is nice I'll have to try brunch on the patio.

Great atmosphere, bloody Mary's are some of the best I have ever had!! Gorgonzola pear burger was insanely good, truffle fries and sweet potato fries also tasted great. Was a great place for us to watch games on a Sunday with tons of TVs and I will definitely be back to try some more food.

Went here with a friend on a cold snowy night. I was surprised when I walked in at how busy it was. We ordered the Makers Mark BBQ and Spicy hot wings. The cook was kind enough to make the order half and half even though that's not something they normally do. I glad he did because both flavors were really good. After that I had the stuffed chicken sandwich which is basically a breaded Chicken Cordon Blue on a bun and after one bite I inhaled it. My buddy had the mac n cheese bacon burger which looked great. The bacon was Apple-wood smoked thick cut and not overcooked or crispy which is how we both like it. Drinks were a reasonable price and the bartender and manager were both very personable. I will be going back with groups of people for sure.

I went here last Thursday to meet up with friends for a birthday. We came in and they had trivia. I was surprised, but it ended up being fun. The decor was clean, minimal and trendy. I liked the lights and wooden slats on the walls. It made it look trendy. We decided to get a bunch of different things on the menu. Everything was very good. Their kitchen had just opened and so lead times were a little long, but the waitress realized this and bought us a drink to compensate. We ended up staying for awhile and had a really good time. I'd definitely go back.

Went back to Flagship last night for about the 6th time in the past couple months. I love this place!! Great food and a fun atmosphere. I really like their hummus and BBQ chicken salad... so much that I have a hard time trying anything else. Can't wait for it to warm up so we can enjoy their patio. Check it out!

This stretch of Belmont has needed a great new bar like this for awhile now. My husband and I decided to grab lunch and watch some March Madness on Saturday, and we were pleasantly surprised to see what they had done with the place. There is beautiful woodwork on the interior and tons of big screen TVs. There's really not a bad seat in the house. The staff was really friendly, and the food was great! Definitely will be back.

Love it! I had such a great time at Flagship. The bar is such a great place to hang out, especially for a Sunday Funday! Love the bartenders too!

Flagship is a great spot. I lived down the street on Belmont & Ravenswood and was always worth the walk for a mason jar. I highly recommend the weekend brunch and the Nola benedicts. They have busch light in cans, which is very nostalgic, and some big a$$ drinks in mason jars. The chili is the bomb as well. Do yourself a favor and reserve a table if you are looking for a spot for a big game (Blackhawks, Bears, & pretty much any big game). It gets packed but they play the audio loud so you can still hear the commentators.

Good times, highly recommended. Good food and drinks. Friendly service. It's our go to place on Thursday nights now that we have found Veronica the best waitress and Sean the awesomest bouncer.

Food came out fast and our waitress was attentive. My Moscow mule was delicious and the flagship burger was yummy as well. Good place to come, get some food, and watch a game.

I'm editing my review to 3 stars. I was notified that the manager was let go, and I will not hold them accountable for his actions. Holy situation. I never write yelp reviews, because I think some are completely bs. But LADIES BEWARE. I came in with some friends and we were having a great time amazing service great drinks. This creepy dude walks up to the table and wants to buy us shots. We declined twice. We even told the server no. we then ask the server for the manager because he was so obnoxious. He literally would not leave our table. Turns out he is the manager. Rick out rich something like that. Drunk. And inappropriate. I couldn't even complain about this guy. Anyhow. I actually felt kinda weird with the whole situation, you can see on the poor girls face there was nothing she could do. Pony it is.

Amazing service with Veronica, She offers great drink suggestions as well as food suggestions. Our drinks never got low. She isn't annoying and gives you the right amount of small talk. She also suggested throwing a day party during the weekend with friends. I definitely recommend flagship. Their food and quality in cocktails. This is not your average sportsbar.

Have always loved this place. The food far exceeds any other "bar" food I've had in the city. Service has been consistent and kudos to management for bringing in an awesome new sports bar to the area. Best place for Bears and Hawks games hands down.

2 reviews for the price of 1 - since visits were within 12 hours and both garner 5 stars! This past Sat night about 15 of us met at Flagship for a low-key celebration. The manager was incredibly accommodating and gave us 2 tables, where we had a server and could also go to the bar, as it got busier. Arriving around 9:15pm it was a good crowd - nothing crazy but good energy. A few of us ate - the BBQ chicken wrap and sweet potato fries were awesome - and the server accommodated any substitutions perfectly (sometimes hard to find at sports bars). Cutting to the chase, we had a blast! The music was great with a lot of new stuff and some really good throwbacks and the drinks were good and reasonably priced. Above all it is nice to have a place that has legit, above-par management, really good food that is executed correctly and a great drink, beer/wine list. I am not even embarrassed to say we stopped back in for a late lunch the next day, as we were house hunting in the area and had 45 min to kill. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and an extra spicy bloody mary, which were excellent. I know, it's just grilled chicken, but this sandwich was the largest and highest quality chicken breast I have had at a bar quite a long time! And the fact they have waffle fries added to my blissful Sunday. It's out bar of choice for sure.

  • Vic C.

Abandon hope all he who enter here. Death is better than the hell that is Flagship. The only thing consistent here is the extremely pathetic service. I just lack the words. Masochists will love the place. An extra star for the waffle fries.

Love Flag Ship! Always a friendly staff well known for having the best, most current sports on. Great food and atmosphere! And dog friendly on the patio which is huge! Great brunch too!

  • Kaitlin M.

I must say I was quite impressed by this place. At first it looks like any other trendy sports bar. But it is not, my friends! The reason why it is a step above the rest... the great food! All four of us were highly impressed with what we ordered and licked our pates clean... somehow! I ordered the Ultimate Chop Salad as a wrap with a side of Tomato Soup and gobbled both up. The portion was huge but it was so good I couldn't stop. The herb dressing that was similar to a pesto was fabulous. On top of it they not only play the sound to important games but they have mixer ready with good music to distract you from all the annoying commercials. We will be back!

I used to live on Barry and Ashland and Flagship was a favorite for my roommate and I. The food is very good, but the music is loud and the service is subpar. There are a decent number of TVs around. We have been there on multiple occasions, but some of my favorite foods were: The mac and cheese burger - holy shit! not only is the mac and cheese decadent, but then it is piled on top of a juicy burger. The grilled cheese - this was the first time I ever had a grilled cheese with cheese crusted on the outside. I will never go back to regular grilled cheese. It also comes with really yummy tomato basil soup. I moved a year ago and I still crave it daily. This is definitely a place to try if you are not in a hurry.

Great Saturday night DJ. He played some classic 90s hip hop. Order the long-island and make sure you have someone there to share it with -too much fun when consumed alone. Staff is attentive but doesn't bother you.

Great spot. Came during the day on Saturday to sit at the bar and watch some hockey. Patrick was great, nice staff and cool little patio if you can get a seat. I didn't eat but the food looks good, menu had some interesting items. Beer selection is good, especially bottles. Will return.

John the bartender is the most racist of them all. If you want to experience moder day racism , visit John the bartender at Flgship. I experienced an African American waiting for about 10 minutes to get noticed to get a drink. My friend and I, a Latino couple waiting for about 10 to 15 minutes to get the check even after him knowing we were waiting. He served everyone around us and also comp shots to others while we were still waiting for our check. I am in the I industry and I would ever in a million years discriminate the way John the bartender did. The manager comp our bill BUT it is not about complementing bills, it's about equal opportunity and treating everyone w respect and equally.

So I went to this establishment this evening and it was amazing. The food, drinks and staff were two thumbs up! I had the mussels and this soup that was it out of this world! Kudos to this place! There was a little wait, but it's totally worth it!

hhhmm... I live a few blocks away and have gone here a bunch of times, which makes me believe some of the reviews on here are fake. No way is this place 4 stars, let alone 5! It breaks my heart to say this, since the staff has always been extremely friendly to me and my peeps, but the food is just flat out not good. I mean, I get it. It's bar food, so you don't expect anything tremendous, but holy cow it disappoints me every single time. For instance, the "Flagship Burger", is pretty below average, and its named after the place for goodness sake!.. Oh, and the wait time for you food? Absolutely horrid every single time, and I've been here at least 8 times... and this is when it's half empty!... Outside of the kitchen and food issues, their specialty drinks are ok, the D-bag factor is a little prevalent but not over the top, and they have a ton of TVs, so I guess they have that going for it. Ugh, it's so close to my house, I want to like this place... It just doesn't have anything there to make me want to go there.

I've been to Flagship on a few Thursdays to engage in trivia with some coworkers, and I was pretty satisfied! The trivia itself goes at an okay rate for me (we didn't feel rushed but didn't have to deal with awkward lag times between rounds) and encompasses a wide spectrum of topics (as trivia should, I suppose). Our team has never come close to winning, but it's always a fun night out. Biggest pluses: close to the brown line, in a cool area of Lakeview/Belmont area that has other bars/restaurants, $3 Blue Moon beers on Thursdays, and it doesn't get overcrowded. My only qualms: the musics was too loud the last time we were there, and while the food was good, it wasn't spectacular (we've had good luck with the hummus plate, nachos, and sliders, but I ordered a salad that was sub-par).

Flagship is one of my favorite spots to go. Great place to watch the game or a cute place for a date. The music is always great and the food and drinks are always on point. If you've never been you're missing out!!!

I miss Chicago mainly for this restaurant (Ok and everything else). Gorgonzola pear burger is incredible and the drinks are perfect and refreshing. Perfect place to watch sports and the service is great. It can get kind of crowded but its a perfect little slice of Chicago culture. Miss you, Flagship.

Flagship went all out for my son's gathering!!! We had the entire place to ourselves. The owner, Stephen was gracious, accommodating and so over the top in all wonderful ways. The food and staff were beyond the best and I would definitely return again and again!!! Thank you Flagship!!!!!

As a Lakeview resident, although I live right off the lake, I will walk to Flagship for the atmosphere and food. This is a HOT SPOT for game days! During the Hawks season, my friend and I are there weekly for the bucket specials and the amazing food! I love the Gorgonzola Pear Burger or the Mac and Cheese Burger. Not to mention that the Cuban is not only a Cuban with pulled pork but it's a BURGER. This is definitely our favorite bar in the area!

More than a bar, less than a full sit down restaurant however the food is better than more than a few fancy restaurants we have eaten at. Great positioning of TVs to watch sports, as we have a regular table reservation during hockey playoffs. Lastly, last summer we took the bus with the bar to the Motley Crue concert and it was one of the best times we ever had going to a show. The manager in charge was awesome and the whole thing was well put together. My wife and I are going to checking out their site for future shows hosted by the bar, so will our friends after we told them how much fun we had. Great bar, great food, great people working there.

We live very close to this restaurant and have visited several times for brunch and dinner. Love the atmosphere and the food is great for the typical 'bar food' menu. One of my fav burgers in Chicago. Servers are always very friendly and game day atmosphere can't be best. If you're looking for sports, good food and a wide variety of beers, Flagship is your place.

  • Ben H.

Solid. Came here with a buncha friends for chow and booze. Got the pepper steak sandwich, they nicely asked how I wanted the steak, I went with medium. Turned out great, very tender meat, nice sauces. Got a side of what turned out to be a very spicy coleslaw which was good. Friends seemed similarly happy with their food. Washed it down with a couple of Revolution Anti-Hero IPAs which is perfect. Pretty good beer selection. The food menu is quite extensive too, they have lots of sandwich and burger options in particular. Good bar food. While we were in there, some folks were in the back painting and getting tispy, which was rather entertaining to watch. Service was attentive and efficient. We didn't have to wait long for our food or drinks.

This place sucks. Waited an hour for an appetizer while the server apologized profusely. Meanwhile, the chef stood outside chatting with his "boys." However, if you wanna get hit on by a 300-lb drunk twat, while yr hungry, irritated, and trapped, look no further. You're home.

We came here for the Hawks game on Saturday and I was seriously impressed with the service. The guy behind the bar did an excellent job of keeping up with everyone throughout the evening and was super friendly to everyone. We had the Jumbo Wings, which were delicious and the truffle fries, which obviously speak for themselves since there is truffle in the name. I would definitely come back to this place again as I really liked the ambiance of the place and had a great time!

Nice, newer place in the area. Need better bartenders (actually friendly). Door guys are nice and cool. Food is alright but yeah its bar food. Better food than other places in the area thats for sure

I ordered a couple of sandwiches for delivery through GrubHub (none of this was their fault). When the delivery came, I came to discover it was mussels. I called support, and they said Flagship wasn't answering the phone, and had stopped taking orders online. I'm glad Grubhub was able to give me a refund. I was really hungry, too... :(

Thought I would be adventurous and try the Gorgonzola pear burger because it was a weird item. It was insanely good, first bite the sweet from the pear hit you then the saltiness of the Gorgonzola and bacon hit you and it was awesome. Perfect sweet and salty combo, and the meat was cooked perfectly all rounded together with the airy brioche bun. Awesome! Got the truffle fries as the side and they were also delicious. Super hot crispy and the dip was great. Buckets were 15 bucks not bad at all. Ill be back for sure!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! I used to live around the corner and I am sad that I missed the opening of this place. We stumbled in here on a recent Saturday night and I found out that they are a MIAMI HURRICANES bar! Well, wouldn't you know, I'm from South Florida! The beer selection here is great, it's packed and lively on a Saturday night, there is plenty of parking AND the staff is nice and even though it's packed you aren't waiting at the bar forever. I will definitely be back here to watch a game and eat some good old fashioned bar food!

This is a great place to watch any game! Well laid out, big LCD TV's at every vantage point, great sound, DJ during commercials, Awesome Bar Top and Truss Bow Ceiling... This place is huge and is usually full for Da Bears! Pretty average but good beer list and good staff. My only complaint would be the food, it's just ok.. stick with drinks here and dine elsewhere-Get Dat Did

Really liked this bar. Great selection of craft brew and food. Liked everything that I had plus service is good. Try the burger sliders, or salmon burger, or chk wrap. All good. Most try place.

much happier with my lunch choice this time around: the chop salad (no chicken) wrap and still yummier than ever sweet potato fries. very filling and very fresh. the spot is definitely a hawks (and bulls) bar so beware: we were questioned on a sunday early afternoon if we had reservations. at a bar? and yes, every single table had a "reserved" tent on it. luckily our friend had saved us some spots at the bar which gave us a perfect view to both games!

Ordered through grubhub since you can't call the store for an order. After an hour wait they added another hour. Called grubhub and they cancelled since again you can't call the store for anything because you have to go to the website. Can't tell you how the food is because I never received my order and at this point I don't want to try it.

My sister is an addict. Even though she won't admit it openly to others, she's has a serious addiction to cheese. One day she came up to me with an ad that she cut out of the newspaper. "Hey, where is this place? We need to check it out this weekend." "It's in the neighborhood. Why do we need to go here?" "Four words. Mac and Cheese burger." We headed up here on late afternoon last Saturday, thankful to beat the evening crowds. She obviously ordered the mac n cheese burger and I ended up getting a mushroom burger. Both came with a side of fries and a pickle. Boy, was I surprised with the results. The burger was cooked to perfection & the cheese melted off the bread; of which was very hot and toasty. Truffle fries are always nice no matter how you get them, and Flagships' version was no exception. Well done chef. They also have an extensive beer and wine list; I treated myself to a tall bottle of Leinenkugel's. Too bad I didn't get the chance to say hello to my friend Stella Artois. Boo. We ate al fresco that night; the service and wait time were great. Overall, this place was quite a find for a bar that I wouldn't have know about had it not been for my sister. I wasn't expecting gourmet but the experience did exceed my expectations. Definitely a place I'd come back to.

Love it here, they have great staff. I don't even go that often and several of them remember me, I love that personal touch.

I was at this bar last night and witnessed the bar manager pull down the bartenders shirt to expose more of her cleavage as he explained to her that he "wanted to see more of these." I felt so offended. They were standing right behind the bar in plain site and this was at 1030pm, not that late into the night. I immediately asked for my bill and left feeling terrible. I live in the area and loved come here for trivia but I am sad to say that I will no longer visit this establishment. Keep it classy managers of flagship.

I went to this restaurant yesterday 5/25/14 and it was absolutely terrible me and my three roommates all received food poisoning from there cheeseburgers. This place is very unsanitary, there was old food grease on the silver wear and plastic cups that looked to be reused . I would not recommend eating at this restaurant.

I've always had good experiences here, usually the place my friends and I go to watch bears games. Went there for lunch on Sunday. Got the nachos, asked for no jalapeños due to my friends allergy. The order came out with the jalapeños on. Sent it back, no problem. Our next order had pieces of jalapeño mixed in still, especially at the bottom. My friend thought maybe they were picked off and mentioned they forgot to take them all off ( yes, definitely presumptive, but he has such sensitivity... Maybe he shouldn't have put it that way)... The manager came over with what was apparently our first order of nachos to prove that they were not picked off. Why he had that dish 20 minutes later, I don't know.... Were they keeping it handy for the next customer order??? He was very rude and passive aggressive about it. Defensive that my friend said that they may have been picked off. Just went a bit far. A manager should be a little more calm than he was... But I guess that happens when a manager is barely out of his 20's. Needs to work on his people skills. All we wanted was nachos the way we ordered them. The manager got more bent out of shape than we did!

This place recently opened near my house in Roscoe Village. It's a nice compliment to The Pony Inn. We needed some variety in the neighborhood! It gets pretty packed on weekend nights so you'd want to get there early. Good friendly service, hearty portion sizes on their typical bar food. Not too much to write home about but it's a nice modern sports bar. Can't wait to go during football season!

Last Sunday we were looking for a sports bar at which to watch the Michigan State game. This place had great reviews and is in our neighborhood so we gave it a shot and we were not disappointed. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The cocktails, were tasty and reasonably priced, if a bit weak. And the food was really good too. We tried the sliders, french fries, and shrimp. We will definitely go back again soon!

My experience at Flagship has been great. Flagship has good food, good drinks, and offers a very relaxing atmosphere. It's the perfect place to watch a Hawks game. But the staff is the main reason why I have become a regular customer at Flagship. Christina, one of the bartenders, always gives her customers great service. She is a also a fun person, has terrific people skills, and makes everyone feel welcome. I look forward to my next night out at Flagship.

A nice looking yuppie bar in the six corners area. This building has been a bar for decades and I am sure I have stopped at this location before. I am sure it has never looked as good and that is why I can't quite remember what the businesses were before. This place has really been remodeled and looks as good as any place with much investing money in the River North.

Flagship is a fairly new sports bar in the Lakeview area, run by the same owners as the Stretch in Wrigley (another go to place of mine). First time I went there was for a Hawks Stanley Cup game. The food, like some of the other owned bars in their family, was great. I had the stuffed chicken sandwich (basically a cordon blue), with a side of sweet potato fries. It was a Monday night, so $2 Miller Lites as well. They have great drink specials every day of the week (even weekends they have $15 buckets). Went there for a birthday party the other night, and we had a 2 hour $20 all you can drink package set up for us. Being an ayc drink snob/power drinker I judge the waitstaff on 2 things: 1) How long I have to wait between drinks and 2) How long I have to wait between drinks. Hey, we are on a time limit! I can't think of the name of the waitress from Saturday, but she hooked it up! Our party of about 15-20 was well taken care of. Definitely check this place out if you are in the area

Such a friendly staff here and it's far enough away from Wrigley Field that you don't get the craziness from the games. A girlfriend and I ended up ordering 2 of their salads/wraps and they were both decent enough for a bar but pretty typical. Plenty of tap/beer options.

I like it. they have some great specials that can save you and your table some serious dough. went there last night for the Hawks game. server was very nice, TV's were a plenty and sound was just right. I didnt eat but everyone else did and said their food was really good. I took a look at the menu and there is a lot to choose from. Really good crowd as well and they did a good job with the design of the place. will go back again

This bar brings a little something new to the Lakeview area. I came here for the Hawks game and it did not disappoint. We showed up in the middle of the game so understandably it was pretty crowded but after standing for a bit we were able to snag a table. It's an upbeat sports bar with an extensive beer selection. Although I didn't eat, the food menu didn't look too shabby either. If the bartenders/servers were overwhelmed, they didn't show it. They were quick on their toes and we didn't have to wait long. This place has a great vibe, decently priced and isn't full of meatheads. If you're looking for that misery, head to Benchmark.

Flagship Tavern is a great new bar just a bit west from all the craziness of Belmont. You will find specialty cocktails (Skinny margs, Moscow mules- but no copper cup!) that range $9-13. There is a great craft beer selection, along with your standard domestics. This was my second visit to the bar. They weren't serving food yet on the first visit (kitchen still under construction), so we were looking forward to testing the menu. My group was pleasantly surprised with the quality & flavors. The portions are HUGE. I went with the 312 Mussels (very good), and my friends had the BBQ chicken salad (two thumbs up), the Flagship burger with waffle fries (yes plz), and the hanger steak sandwich (just meh...) It can be crowded, but getting a table wasn't too difficult. Definitely recommend Flagship for dinner & drinks!

Was here for the Boston Red Sox Meet Group Fundraiser for Marathon victims last saturday and had a solid time. I can't blame the bar that out of four games Boston only won one. (Bruins win YAY, Red Sox lose twice d'oh, and Celtics lost too :-/ ) Great vibe and ambiance, good selection of booze and a tasty menu. While the location is a smidge inconveniant (a very healthy walk from the brown line, although the 77 does the trick) and if you're driving like i happened to this once (very funny that the first place I drive to is that close) the parking seemed sparse and had 2 hour max meters, so you'll want to find someone to shuffle with :-p All of that said I'll definitely be back again soon. But next time I'll probably walk or bike. Also quickly wanted to say that people at my table were raving about the chicken legs, (actually made from pork belly?), poutine, mac 'n cheese, and the pizzettes. The moscow mule also drew praise.

This place gives me a weird vibe. The food is so-so at best, not really any great deals on drinks. I think it tries too hard to be a sports bar and doesn't have the friendly atmosphere like the pony or other local joints.

I stopped in here on a whim after shooting pool. After waiting for 5 minutes I ordered a round of Fireball shots which came in miniature mason jars. I also ordered a whiskey soda and they put enough ice in so that when i finished it, was able to refill the glass with my flask and have a second drink at the fraction of the cost. The bar was packed as to be expected for a Saturday night. Much like any other bar in the area, the demographic was one note as to be expected from bars in Chicago. #taperyourexpectations

Flagship is definitely going to become one of my local places to have some drinks and get some great food! They have some unique drinks, like the "Vitamin Water" which is a healthy spin on a fruity vodka drink! I opt for the usual vodka soda and they have always put a good amount of liquor in their drinks, which is always appreciated! I ate the italian burger, which was really good! I didn't understand that the extensive list of toppings came ON TOP of another beef patty. I had to take the regular patty off and just ate the italian sausage one, but it was quite delicious! The staff is also BEYOND wonderful. We came for a friends birthday during Trivia Night, which they decided to cancel because of the March Madness games. Everyone was very apologetic and we even got a $25 gift card for our next visit because they cancelled the usual Thursday Trivia. The birthday girl was also pleasantly surprised with a free dessert and a round of shots for the group! Needless to say, my roommates and I will be frequent visitors to Flagship! Definitely recommend if you are in the area!

My boyfriend and I came here to do a "painting and drinking" event through Colors and Bottles. The location wasn't ideal for us, but I am so happy we went here! We ate dinner before moving to the back of the restaurant for our painting experience. The food was VERY GOOD, and I'm not usually crazy about "American food." I had the Gorgonzola Pear Burger with sweet potato fries, and my boyfriend had the Mexican burger. Both were just awesome- the best burger I've ever had! They had a great drink selection that didn't break the bank. Our waitress was very attentive throughout our dinner, painting, and afterwards when we stayed at the bar for one more drink. Everyone working was so friendly, the manager (I think?) even charged my phone for me when I asked- haha! Definitely a place to go if you're anywhere near it! Worth the trek out to Lakeview!

We came in on a Friday night about 8pm, and had to wait a bit for a table. Once seated, we had great service. The food took some time, but it was primetime. Started with tthe Pork Belly fritters and they were yummy. We shared a chicken cordon blue sandwich and tots. Hot, crispy and delicious. I will be back.

Let's start with a 3.5. Decided to check out this new Lakeview place after seeing on Thrillist and Yelp. Pros: super friendly staff, great beer and drink list (I'll go back for the Vitamin Water!), lots of Tv's, tables and seating, comfy booths, dj spinning fun tracks, and it's so new you can still smell the varnish. Cons: lots of 20-somethings dressed and acting like it's a river north club, around 11 or 12 dj changed up to more clubby and dance tracks and turned up volume - again if I wanted to go to da club I would have, kitchen was not open yet, as smokers started to congregate outside, the bar definitely smelled like smoke either from the door being constantly opened or through the large window wall in the front. At the end, this place has lots of potential for a new go to for me, my man and friends if it doesn't become club Lakeview. I'll definitely go back.

This was a great experience. The menu was extensive, great beer list. The veggie burger was amazing! Homemade, not frozen, very hearty with great flavor. The Bloody Mary was great as well (Zing-Zang).

Went there for a bar package and started off with the guy at the door telling me it started an hr later than it really did so ended up losing free drink time and actually buying beer during that time Our waitress was very nice but one of the bartenders was not a very pleasant at all(nicest way I could put it). Not the greatest experience overall.

Love love love love this place. We live right around the corner and come here way too often. Their food is probably the best "bar food" my husband or I have ever had and we truly enjoy the bartenders and especially the bouncer (he's our man). Thursday night is "trivia night" and they have blue moon drafts for $3 which you can't beat. The chicken dishes are amazing and so are the appetizers. The only "bad" thing is that my husband says their burgers are not "phenomenal" and could use more seasoning, but he says they are still really good. I don't eat beef so I can't tune in, but the burgers look really good! Another plus is that they have brunch on Saturday and Sunday. Today was the first day we had it and it was awesome. I had their eggs benedict which includes three different egg benedicts and potatoes or a fruit skewer for only 12 bucks. It was a ton of food and my husband and I together couldn't finish it. Also, if you live in the neighborhood be sure to get to know the owner. He might slip you a 15% off card that you can use every time you come here. All in all my husband and I love this place and couldn't be happier that it is around the corner. We used to be a pony fan, but for the younger crowd (mid to late 20s and early 30s) I would say the Flagship is more your scene.

First time at Flagship was to watch the Bears Game - awesome that you are able to reserve tables, only problem, make sure your party is on time! For being crowded, the service was great, offered ok specials, $2 PBR's, but I guess on Sunday's when the Bears are playing, do you really need a special to draw a crowd?? The DJ graciously charged my phone for me, no questions asked, which is always nice! Will be back for sure

came here on a sunday night and ordered poutine - bad, soggy fries with salty chili pork x 4 - nicely layered pork between crusty bread flagship burger - ok, meat was underseasoned mac n' cheese burger - mac was cooked too long and not cheesy enough burger was ok, too heavy and greasy with poutine

Fabulous food, excellent service. We commented to our server on the exceptional quality of our meal, and the owner came by to introduce himself and thank us for our business. The hand cut fries were amazing and we are picky about our fries. The stuffed chicken sandwich was like a gourmet cordon bleu. My friend had the tomato soup, creamy with fennel. Fantastic! The owner told us everything from the barbecue sauce to the burgers is made freshly in the kitchen. The quality really shows what a difference that makes. We found this establishment quite by accident as we were looking for an Illini bar to watch a basketball game. While Flagship now hosts the fans of Indiana and Miami, the previous tenant was the "Illini bar". We think Flagship is an upgrade and a great choice for beer, food and sports.

We ordered some food for delivery from Flagship based on the good reviews it had on Yelp and Grub Hub. Unfortunately, our food came cold and the "special instructions" we had indicated (no bleu cheese on my wrap and no mustard or mayo on the Pork x 4) were ignored. I could see the potential of the truffle fries, but as I said, they were cold and therefore soggy. Reading some of these other reviews makes me think the food served at the restaurant is much better, so my advice would be, don't order for delivery.

Best veggie burger I've eve had. Nice casual atmosphere and low key staff. Also not too loud - could really enjoy conversation at table. Also, We had at least 5 cocktails (top shelf), an appetizer, and an entree and the bill was only $50. I think that's pretty great for Chicago!

Granted I went here last night at 9:45p when they only serve food until 10:00p, but at a good restaurant with good staff that should never be a problem. The service was good, decent bottle and tap beer selection, but when it came to the food that is where the ball was dropped. I had the steak sandwich, which, first, the food came out in like 5 min. Way to fast for any piece of food that is cooked fresh. Second, the server asked me how I wanted my steak, which was medium, but the steak on that sandwich was like shoe leather. I didn't even eat half of my meal. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

Flagship has become our go-to neighborhood tavern when we want to go out for a beer or dinner. The food on the menu is excellent for a bar, from the appetizers to the main courses. They also offer several good beers on tap. We have never had bad service. The atmosphere is great - we prefer a chill atmosphere that is not overly trendy, and Flagship fits the bill. We will be back again and again.
