In love! What a beautiful and fun spot. The decor and bar were well done. We sat at the high top tables across from the bar and could see everything. They do have a couple tv's which had soccer playing. The music that was playing in the back ground was perfect. Not to loud nor to soft. We could enjoy a few beats while having a conversation. It was a James Brown genre with a bit of funk, soul and rhythm & blues. We did a bit of wine tasting. They do have a full bar with beer and liquor. The pretty in Pink as well as the Power Play were both well worth it. 3 different types of each. We did not get any food but noticed the other tables had beautiful arrangements of cheeses and meats. The staff/bartender was excellent and informative. Did a stellar job with going above our expectations. This will be a recurring stop once we return to the great Windy City.

I would give this place 4.5 if I could, but I love any place with wine flights. Came here with a group of 9 for my sister's bachelorette weekend. It's small, so if you have a larget group be sure to make a reservation. We got a bunch of apps and bruchettas and split everything. Great open wall/window for the nice weather. My only minor complaint was the loud noise level.

I took my sister to Enolo for a celebratory pre-bachelorette dinner last Friday night. We had a reservation, but we decided to go an hour early since we were so hungry. The restaurant was pretty busy, so we chose a seat on the front patio. However, we underestimated how hot it was and requested to be moved inside half an hour later. Our waitress was completely understanding and helped us move once there was an table opened. She was sweet and really nice! We started off with a flight of white wine each, and three bruschettas - the buratta, the classic and the eggplant. All three were excellent, but my favorite was the buratta. It was topped with crispy bacon bits and the cheese just melted in your mouth. Next, we ordered the beet ravioli and a side of the truffle fries. I love truffle fries, and these did not disappoint. The beet ravioli (even though it sounds a little weird) was really good as well. It was served over a pesto sauce, and topped with some Parmesan cheese. It was stuffed with mushrooms, so it is a great choice for the mushroom lovers. It was full of flavors and they all meshed so well together. We were completely stuffed, but we decided to order the gnocchi because it just seemed too good not to try. It was excellent as well and we ended up eating all of it. It was served over a tomato basil sauce and it had pieces of fresh mozzarella. However, between the two pastas, I would order the ravioli over the gnocchi. I would definitely be coming back to Enolo soon!

I've been there twice now. Both times I've gotten the wine and cheese. To be honest, I have been to places with better cheese plates. The biggest downfall with their cheese plate is the fig jam and their fruit. The cinnamon almonds were great, but very different from the usual toasted nuts. The wine tastings were good, but the red wines from Italy and Spain were mediocre. The best part was the empanada and the bread. I can't recall what we got, but I know that if we decide to go back we'll be getting them again. Next time we'll have to try the white wine flights as well.

Fabulous! I found this place after doing a little research on wine bars in Chicago. Glad I chose this place. The wine flights are set up to please all kinds of wine palates. I chose the Pretty in Pink Flight which featured a Provence rosé, Oregon Pinot Noir Rosé and a Tempranillo- Grenache rosé out of Rioja, Spain. I typically go for the more Provence style, but the Spanish rosé won my heart. More of a mouthfeel, pepper, more of a savory rosé. Food menu is small, but prices are great. Had the chopped salad and the prosciutto, fig and arugula bruschetta, which was only 5 bucks. This is the place to go if on a budget. Second, I had the Mineral Flight suggested by my awesome bartender Daniel. LOVED this flight as well. You toured Europe thru this flight tasting a white from Greece, Italy and France. Who knew a Greek wine could taste so good! So Daniel- talk bout passion for wine. He loves what he does and loves telling bout wine, even knows growing climates. He is working towards his first Somm level which I great. I want to go back just to talk to him. He was so fun to talk to, and I loved tasting with him. I'll definitely be back to Enolo. Great place of you want to carry on a conversation too, as it was a little quieter.

I took clients here for a drink and was so pleasantly surprised, this place has a great happy hour and we had the leek and artichoke dip, the hummus and the pizza. All were very good and the bubbly for $5 was very very good. Open windows make a small place seem big, and the service was outstanding.

A nice downtown Chicago spot when you want a light dinner and a glass of wine in a nice place that doesn't break the bank. I was working at the Cadillac for the week, so this was a nearby spot that my friend and I visited for early dinner. The staff was very friendly and helpful with the wine list, which I always love. My friend and I loved our white wine selections. I see now that the restaurant has since adapted a happy hour menu, but it didn't exist for our visit, so we chose a few small things to share - a caprese salad, tomato gnocchi (our favorite), and another dish for dessert: the cheese with honey! It was all delicious, and the staff was friendly and encouraged me to return soon with coworkers in tow.

Food was good but our experience with wait staff was annoying. Our group of 3 was seated at the end of a larger table and we had purchased drinks, dinner, and dessert. We were about 45 min into our meal when my husband got up to use the restroom and a large party of girls waiting at the bar started getting antsy and tried to actually grab my husbands chair... While we were eating dessert our waiter came over later and basically tried to rush us out when we had only been there a little under an hour. Won't be coming here again.

This new wine bar was top on my list to check out when I headed back to Chicago. I chose to take a friend out here for a thank you dinner and it couldn't have been more perfect of a choice. The restaurant is small but the atmosphere is everything you would want in a trendy wine bar. As for the service, it is top notch! We began with an awesome Pinot Noir and the cheese board. The fig jam and bread it came with tied everything together nicely, this was one of the more impressive cheese boards I have seen. The selected cheeses were unique and paired well with our red wine. The wine flights are the way to go here, we tried a red and a white. It's a great way to try different wines and the pours are heavy for the tasting. After tasting several wines we couldn't resist the amazing bruschettas flying by. 4 bruschetta for $15 is the way to go here. The brie and tomato mozzarella bruschettas were our favorite and I could eat them every day! The other two wee not that memorable but still tasty. This wine bar has a unique menu that could easily win you over!

Awesome $12 wine flights and excellent small plates. The bruschettas were some of the best I've ever had! Service was excellent and the ambience was chic. Great for a date night or even a night out with the girls. I will definitely be back when I'm back in Chicago.

My friends and I came the other day and were extremely happy with Enolo. We started with the Fried Goat Cheese and our order was a little frozen in the middle so we mentioned it to our waitress who apologized and said she'd bring us a new order. The new order was brought by the Chef who personally apologized to us (even though we were never mad) which we all thought was extremely nice and professional. Hats off to the Chef for going above and beyond on service. From there we got a some wine flights which the waitress also helped with suggestions based on our preferences. Then we ordered a few bruschettas: brie, salmon, and eggplant; all were excellent but the salmon was the best hands down. This is a great option if you go with a group of friends and all enjoy small plates with easy check splitting. I will definitely recommend to friends and hope to go back soon to indulge in more bruschetta options. Food selection: 4 star for variety, 5 star for taste Wine/Alcohol selection: 4 star for variety, 5 star for taste Service: 5 stars

I was really excited for Enolo but it was sort of a let down. Luckily I had a $20 coupon to lessen the sore. Ambiance is modest yet charming (I love crystal chandeliers), service was good, wine flights got the job done. The charcuterie board was pretty good but I expected something a tad more, I don't know, extravagant? for $16. What was a huge bummer was the fact that the two entrees I was interested in - the angel hair pasta with the zucchini, mushrooms, etc. and the halibut filet - were both out. Both of them. Out. At 7 PM on a Monday... Okay, fine, I'll deal. I ordered the fettucini and asked for extra shrimp instead of clams. The shrimp was a generous helping and well made, no complaints there, but the fettucini itself was incredibly bland and just really lacked any flavor. Throw some spinach in there or something. Garlic powder, I don't know, anything. Again, a pasta dish for $18 should taste better than buttered noodles at Noodles & Co. Maybe I'm just hard to please. Like others have said, this place has potential, but needs to get some details ironed out. Maybe I'll be back in the winter.

I've come to Enolo so many times and have had good service but today was much different. I sat at the bar for the first time and Dana served my friend and I tonight. I wanted a chill place to watch the Hawks play. I had some bruchettas, (save yourself from the bacon bruchetta, it's awful) and drinks. Dana made sure that I liked everything I ordered and when I ordered the bacon one and it came out she asked if I liked it and I said ehhhhhh but she didn't let me eat it---she said we want you to love what you eat here so please choose another one so you can enjoy yourself. That was very impressive and blew my mind. I ended up ordering the salmon one and it was delicious! I'm thankful for service like this. Chicago has a lot to offer and lots of places to choose to have dinner and drinks, but service like this is incredibly stellar. This visit has been memorable! I'll for sure be back!

Just leaving here now with my husband and our friends. Awesome drink list, delicious tapas, and GREAT service!! Our server, Elizabeth, was very knowledgable and offered suggestions for both food and drinks. The atmosphere is super cute with mirrors, tin bar ceilings, and Edison bulbs. Super fun feel. Great stuff all around. Also, try the truffle fries.... You won't be sorry!

For a "wine cafe," I was unimpressed with their wine selection. I tried the spaghetti and was also unimpressed: the noodles were crunchy and the meatballs were overcooked. Two of my wine glasses had someone's leftover lipstick on them and had to be sent back. The restrooms were awesome, though. Also, our waiter strongly smelled like he'd been doing more than sipping the wine...customer service was subpar. I had high expectations for this place, but I would not recommend it to anyone. You can have a poor restaurant experience for a lot less money...take your business elsewhere.

This place is alright. The service was decent, waiter seemed to really know the menu and wines very well but didn't seem happy to be at work or have customers. The food is alright, definitely not the best nor worst I've ever had. Mediocre. The people next to us didn't even have a menu and we're trying to figure out their wine flights. I gave them the one menu I was sharing with my boyfriend. He and I decided to call it quits early and go somewhere else. If they're so short on menus then they should print more. Seems silly to me since they weren't packed at all and very clearly didn't have enough menus or were hoarding them all. Won't return. The wine flights were cool though, and the busser seemed extremely good at his job :) I decided to change this to 1 star after having told the waiter we were done, waiting 10 minutes or so, then asking for the check, then waiting another almost half hour before chasing him down to get it! Ridiculous! Will never go back!!

Unfortunately, our experience here was a bit of a miss. We each started off with a glass of wine, mine was nothing particularly that great (rose) and then shared a bottle of the Sauv Blanc, better than the Rose. The food left us very disappointed and none of it seemed to hit the spot. We had 4 of the bruschetta's and those were the best part of our meal. Although, some of the "toast" was weirdly not toasted at all. The braised and roasted octopus salad is cold and we were not expecting that. All in all - I dont think I would necessarily come rushing back here. There are too many other great spots in the area!

Fantastic! Beautiful space, open early, great selection and phenomenal service! We came here straight from work (4:30pm) on a weekday and had the place to ourselves for a bit. I appreciate bars that open before the traditional 5pm because sometimes you just can't wait for an after-work treat. The GM welcomed us immediately and introduced us to Daniel, our bartender. We sat at the bar and he was more than happy to give us recommendations. I couldn't decide between the sparklers so he suggested a flight. He also steered my friend in the right direction with Malbecs. Another friend asked for recommendations on Belgian style ales and he was more than happy to assist with that as well. Our food was good, nothing to write home about. We had the prosciutto panini which hit the spot after several glasses of wine, but would have been disappointing as a meal. I will definitely return for the fantastic service, Daniel addressed us by name all night, even as the bar got busy. It's a personal touch that makes the difference when you have so many bar options in the area. Yay Enolo!

Walking into this new hip wine bar in the River North neighborhood of downtown Chicago I was immediately struck by intimate atmosphere of this little bar. Wine Flights are one of my favorite inventions and Enolo has some fun and interesting ones on their menu. I started with the sparkling wine flight, tried a few reds from "Spicy and Fiery" and then shared another flight with my husband called Deep and Dark which were also reds. There was not a bad wine amongst the 9 that I tried. The prices on the flights were also quite reasonable ranging from $11 to $31 for the "Grand Cru" flight. They also had some interesting Greek and Portuguese wines that I don't see everyday including a Xinomavro and and Assyrytiko. I would give the wine list a here a 5. Now, on to the food; we sampled four different bruschetta and were not disappointed with any of them. These included the Shrimp, Fresh Mozzarella, Bacon Jam and Proscuitto with candies Figs. YUMMY ALL 4! We also shared the Halibut which was amazing as well. For dessert we had the Tiramisu which was good but I would like to see a longer list of dessert options. I give the food here a 5. The service was a little spotty. Once we were seated out server came over quickly, and he brought the wine flights out very quickly. However, from time to time he would disappear. Later I noticed that he was also tending bar so the poor guy was running around trying to do too much and was spread thin. Enolo was understaffed. At one point the hostess came by and asked of she could have our menus back because she had run out. In a place like this you really need your menu to identify the wines in the flights and to see what you want to order next. Small thing but it shows that this place is still new and has some wrinkles to iron out on their path to greatness. I give the service a 4. I would like to give Enolo a 4 and a half if I could but they need to work on staffing this eatery a little better for more consistent service.

Loved this place. And, loved it. For a wine bar, the list could be more extensive but our waiter made up for it. Service was fantastic. Food was small plates and really really good. Given the number of wine flights we had, we expected our bill to be much larger. It wasn't! I will be back again because it felt very homey and non-pretentious, my 2 favorite things in a bar. Add some old men and I'd move to Chicago just to hang out here.

This was a great place! Came here on a Friday around 430 and was pleased to find there were plenty of seats. Got the bubbly wine flight- delish! Decent prices too. I got a piece of bruchetta- the other reviews didn't lie when they said they were huge! Great place for a girls night out.

The waitress was very helpful with picking out a nice wine. But the chef's pizza disappointed. One of the meats tasted a little "off".

Great food and drink selection. They are open until 2am which is a plus! The space itself is super trendy and has beautiful detail. I went there in the evening around 8pm and it was pretty crowded, so make sure to make a reservation ahead of time. We ordered four mini bruchettas. I highly recommend the salmon, ricotta, and artichoke but they all looked amazing. They go very well with the intense drink selection they have. They really have something for everyone (even those who do not drink wine). I would skip on the panini as it wasn't as tasty as the bruchetta was. The kale salad was a nice touch. There were at least a few things we had wanted to order and they were out of them (foccacia bread and brie for example). Not a huge deal as the substitutions were fine but I would like to have had what was originally ordered. I will definitely be back to try some of their wine flights. Also, the service was top notch. The general manager was super sweet and our waitress was phenomenal (brought everything out quickly and made great food/drink recommendations).

Order the bruschetta. It is a MUST. You can get 4 for $16, and they are all fabulous. Wine flights are good - I got the 'tall, dark, and handsome' flight of red wines. The ambiance is cute. I was a little surprised how loud it was in there. its more of an intimate setting, so I was expecting a quitter atmosphere. The sous chef brought us tiramisu on the house on one occasion - we were there on a Saturday afternoon and there weren't many people there. It was great!

This review is for the food. If I was rating the service and the decor I'd be giving it four stars. On paper the menu sounds amazing, and quite frankly the presentation was very nice. But the taste left much to be desired. I was really excited to try this place. it started off great with a nice server and a wonderful glass of rosé. But the food just lacked any flavor. Our server recommended the empanada which came out cold in the middle and definitely could have used more basil. Then we had two bruschetta, the strawberry and balsamic and the brie with lavender honey. Both were bland and the toast with far too thick and spongy. We ended up finishing up our wine and walking over to Siena tavern to close out our meal with a pizza and a salad there.

  • Trina G.

The bruschetta was great. My kale salad was not very flavorful. When I was there at for lunch I was the only person in there for 90% of my meal. The service was good and they played great music.

We almost ate dinner at the signature lounge in the Hancock building- but after reading this menu I cancelled the reservation. This place is awesome!! The service was phenomenal and the food was spectacular. The halibut was perfect. The bruschetta was delicious. We had a hard time deciding which bruschetta we would try... and they give you a big portion so we could only eat 3. The Brie, mozzarella, and artichoke were all different but delectable in their own flavor profile. Highly recommend this place.

Quaint, little wine bar with great food and friendly staff. I had the Spring Time in Italy wine flight and it was well paired. The bartender explained the regions the wines originated from and was prepared to answer all questions about the wine varieties. They don't have an extensive bar selection, but they have enough to please those who don't particularly love wine. While we didn't eat a full meal, we had the hummus trio and it was excellent. Flavorful hummus served with plenty of fresh vegetables, flat bread, and crackers. The bruschetta, flatbreads, and other menu items looked delicious! Definitely a place to bring a date or group of friends. It won't disappoint.

Rodney is awesome. Other servers I've had at this spot are also cool. But Rodney is the best. And wine is the best. And bruschetta is the best. Yeah. I spend way too much here but in a good way.

Enolo is a nice addition to River North bar/restaurant scene. A new concept restaurant by Roka Akor, it shares both outdoor seating and design sensibilities with its older sister. The wine flights are interesting though small. Three trials equal one glass of wine so you won't be too inclined to share unless you're in love. The pairings are great though, and it's nice to sample a flight before settling on a favorite glass to order from the trio. The kale salad was pretty good, but the bruschetta was out of this world. If this soft, yet crispy bread was available in my local grocery store I would easily gain 10 lbs in a week.

Even though I live in Edgewater, I'll definitely venture down to River North for this spot. Me and my boyfriend went yesterday afternoon for a few drinks on our day off. The GM, Eric, was super hospitable, very knowledgeable about the wine list, and totally approachable. He really made us feel at home and gave fascinating little tidbits about the wine that were easily digestible and interesting. THAT is how wine should be experienced. Not a hint of snobbery. Marissa was also incredibly friendly and fun to chat with. It was obvious that she also believes in a casual, yet passionate approach to wine. And the fact they have such a generous industry night is an added bonus -- ask them about it :) This is a cute, cozy, approachable wine bar that others would be smart to replicate. I honestly haven't had such enthusiastic, warm, and welcoming customer service like that in a long while. We're looking forward to becoming regulars!

New wine bar! Not so comfortable seats though... It's got a communal table vibe to it with dining tables & high barstools. Service is without a doubt great but the ambiance was lacking that punch line.

So happy my friend suggested this place! Beautifully decorated and such a nice atmosphere. We sat at the bar, the bartender Daniel shook our hands and introduced himself then remembered our names the whole time we were there! They weren't too busy for a little while when we got there so he told us about the different wines and made suggestions. Even when they did get busy my glass was barely even empty before he was asking me if I wanted another. We split 2 bruchettas, bacon jam and prosciutto. Absolutely delicious. The perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon, highly recommend this place.

Checked this place out with 2 friends on a Saturday evening around 8. Luckily with a festival going on nearby it wasn't too crowded yet. We settled in and waited. After deciding what we were going to be trying, we were still waiting and yet to be greeted. Eventually I caught the eye of a manager who stopped by to see if we had been greeted and we stated that we hadn't and had been waiting for a bit (5ish minutes). He quickly sprang to action, giving us his business card and introducing himself (Eric). He gave some advice on flights and we ordered with him. He quickly returned with a bottle for us to sample. When one of my friends did not enjoy the red wine, he came back with another heavy tasting pour of a white for her. We all got to try both wines so basically another 2 tastings for "free". Finally our flights arrived in stemmed glasses and were explained nicely by the runner. We were then able to sit back and enjoy the somewhat loud but cozy and chic atmosphere while sipping our 3 wines. (I definitely recommend the flights, it was fun to try 3+ different types of wine for a reasonable price.) I would say that I would definitely try this place out again. It was a nice cozy and upscale in appearance but without upscale pricing. Thank you Eric for helping to rectify the wait time we experienced.

The wine selection was broad and our choice was a good one. The food was very good and came out in a timely fashion. My only complaint is that we had a trainee server who seemed a bit overwhelmed. We did not get checked on by the head server at all, just the trainee who was constantly confused. Overall, I would recommend this place based upon the food and wine selection.

My GF and I grabbed lunch here before my return flight to Louisville. The restaurant was empty, but the manager and server were unbelievably friendly. Thanks to yelp, we got 1/2 off lunch. The food was very good. We started with the mozzarella bruchetta (delicious) and the truffle fries (good, not great). We both ordered the roast beef panni and the french onion soup. The panni was good. I think it could have used more cheese, but i'm pretty cheesy! I didn't like the soup. I can't say enough great things about our server; she was phenomenal.

What a great place to relax and eat. The staff are attentive, engaging and educational. Excellent wines pared with excellent small plates! We enjoyed a flight of wines we were familiar with and Rhona challenged us with some new varietals that were excellent. A definite place to try and enjoy.

I came here with a girlfriend and I have to say I was pretty let down. The positives: The bruchetta is delicious and the atmosphere is nice. The negatives unfortunately outweigh the positives by far: The first glass in my premium wine flight tasted like the bottle had been open for over a day. A wine bar should know that any bottle that is not finished by the end of the day should be discarded at closing. Not corked and served to customers the next day. The truffle fries had zero truffle taste to them and the pizza honestly tasted like a frozen pizza. I would actually prefer DiGornio. It was "meh", I will probably stick with Bin 36 or Eno.

5 stars for service. I go in for the bartenders. Rodney and Daniel are always Gracious . It's wonderful to have a place you can get what you want how you want it. Just warm accommodating people and a beautiful atmosphere, it's a welcome diversion to the hustle of Hubbard st! It's a must try. The wine list is diverse and unique. A nice find. Perhaps a more diverse flight selection would be nice. Switch it up, for those people who frequent the establishment. Only downside was the menu, just wish it was more dietary friendly. I'm sure it is all delicious! It looked wonderful. However They had no vegetables or fruit which is nice at a wine bar. I would have tried more but being began there was nothing I could have. It would be nice to have a better selection. anything down aside, it's a total must see in the area. If even for wine and service. Good people and good wine is a great start in my book!

My friend found this place for a birthday. We grow tired of frequenting the same places occasionally. We were greeted warmly, and despite catching BBQ wafts from Bub City, we ordered some food. Our server was great with recommendations and knew the wine and food list well. He recommended some bruschetta combinations, and they all pretty much hit the spot (though the shrimp bruschetta was an odd combination and no one really wanted to finish the salmon and capers). The cheese plate was delicately balanced, with the exception of the biscotti. It was strangely sweet for the plate. Our wine flights were thoroughly explained orally. Being that I'm not an oral learner, it was lost on me, so it was helpful when our server shared it was the order listed on the menu. The manager was very attentive to all tables and staff throughout. Maybe we were taking up too much time, because he swung by three times. Overall, we enjoyed our time, the food, the wine and we didn't break the bank. I don't know about my friends, but I'll be going back.

I've been excited to try this place out since it's near my house. I came with friends on their opening night. Our server was very nice and helpful with the menu. We started with around 7 of the bruschettas; they were all very good, my favorite was the mozzarella one. We also ordered the caprese salad, which was delicious. They also have a great wine selection at reasonable prices. The only low point of the evening was when the manager (who'd introduced himself to us/checked on us 4 times throughout the meal) knocked a full glass of water all over me, soaking my shirt, shorts, and inside of my purse. He clearly knocked it over yet didn't take responsibility for doing so and seemed more concerned with cleaning the table and floor than with assisting me and my drenched belongings. He didnt offer to do anything for us and when the bill came from the server I asked to speak to the manager. I asked him if they were going to offer any compensation for what happened...he said he would bring a wine flight (so basically one full glass of wine split into 3) or a glass of wine for me..but not a round for the table. Since we were leaving and I was soaked, I asked if he would take $ off the bill, and he took 1 glass of the bill (the cheapest glass--$9). We had racked up a $200 bill in total and frankly, the fact that he didn't compensate without being asked, then only would take $9 off the bill is poor customer service in my opinion. Based on the food, wine and ambiance I would give this establishment a higher rating, but the way we were treated by the manager, specifically given this is a new restaurant, was very rude.

Super cute new spot in River North! They have a great wine, champagne, and beer menu as well as a nice selection of small plates meant to be shared. Enolo is right across the street from Bub City (womp womp) so it's a great location. I went here on a Friday night with my best friend, and was excited to walk into a cute and intimate space. The lighting was just right with the dark, gilded walls, chandeliers and soft candle light. We were seated right away and our waitress Rachael took great care of us all night! We ordered the kale salad, the artichoke flatbread and the smoked salmon flatbread. All three were outstanding! The owner came over twice to say hello and make sure we were having a good night. Overall, it's a tad on the pricey side but it's River North. This is a cute and classy spot and I will definitely be back!

Myself and 4 other coworkers came here for lunch as we work in the area and were absolutely delighted with the food and service we received here. First, I would recommend going during the lunch hour as there was hardly anyone there and we were seated right away. Our waitress was incredibly kind and made us feel very welcomed. She even offered us a complimentary appetizer even after we ordered 3 different kinds of bruschetta. She advised us not to get too many because they are pretty thick but were super flavorful and delicious. My favorite was the braised artichoke. For entree's 3 of us had their kale salad which was supreme! It was light but very filling. Another had the caprese salad which featured yellow and orange heirloom tomatoes and another had one of their paninis. Our waters were never less than half full and were in and out of there in 45 minutes without ever feeling rushed. Overall fantastic experience that we all look forward to coming back again!

Came here on a groupon and found a jem! The inside is beautiful and they had the large window/doors open on this beautiful day so we took the table with the outdoor feel. The wine was amazing and we tried the tomato jam bruschetta and it was awesome! I wish the waiter would have explained how large the bruschetta is, the price is for an "each" so we ordered 2 of the same but could have easily split one since it is cut into 4 pieces and then have ordered another one with different toppings. But it was still great!

This place has potential. The decor is cute and they have the ability to open the windows in front when it's nice out. I'm not a huge fan of the communal seating in a wine bar though. The service was actually very, very good. The wine list was decent with a really good value out of the flights. The food, however, needs improvement. We got the mixed nuts, which were fine. Then came the crudo and it all went downhill. Since crudo is raw, I've never had it be dry like what would happen from cooking but all three of us definitely felt it was dry. The spice they put on it was great but the fish itself, not so much. We then got the halibut and same issue. The fish had flavor but very dry. Overall it has potential but the food really has to improve. There were three of us and all had the exact same opinion of the place.

The wait staff was great! Friendly and offering great suggestions. However the bus staff cleared our plates like they were on a race - never asking if we were done, taking plates out from under our faces. Why don't Chicago restaurants train their bus staff to be patient, respectful and responsive to their customers? Enolo needs to have a staff meeting. All the wines were good. They clearly choose them well. Bruschettas were mushy. They need to grill the bread so they don't fall apart in the hand. We asked for them to be cut for three and the waiter was afraid to ask the kitchen staff to do that. Can't the customer make an easy special request? This restaurant is worth visiting once, but management needs to get consistent in food quality and bus staff reading customers if they are going to survive.

I can't get enough of this place. Absolutely cozy atmosphere. The food is very delicious and the best part was the price. When I went for lunch I had the soup of the day that was probably the best carrot and ginger cream soup I've ever had with a Turkey panini all for $12. I sat outside in a sunny Monday for a quick hour before heading to work. It was ideal, affordable, and relaxing. The service is really top notch, the manager came to say hello and my waitress was very familiar with the menu and helpful when I asked for advice. I've also been there for dinner before a show and when it was time to choose from the very exclusive wine menu, Eric, the manager, was so great at explaining the many options, but helpful as well when it came to pairing it with our dinner. We had a bottle of Domaine Sigalas 2013 with the oysters of the day, the salmon bruschetta, a caprese salad, and the Halibut filet. Food came on time and it was simply delicious. Every single dish I've tried is delicious, but if I have to choose from the entrie menu I would say that the Halibut filet is a must try. Yummy!

Had never even heard of this place, but was perusing Open Table and saw it. Checked the website and it looked pretty cool. Who doesn't love a good wine bar? Give me snacks for dinner any day! (they do have way more than snacks though). The bruschetta was awesome, each one comes with 4 pieces. I loved the Bacon Jam one though the best. The mozzarella one was great too. We also got the artichoke dip which was awesome and different than a lot of artichoke dips. Not super heavy. We also ordered the corn pizza which was awesome! We added bacon (duh) and I think it needed that. We also got the spring pea ravioli. It was ok. I actually wish we went with the one of the other pastas. I saw the veggie one and the shrimp one come out and they were both amazing looking! The wine is great, can't go wrong there. The place is cute, not super big. Bravo! This city needs more wine bars!

My new favorite lunch spot! I definitely recommend checking this new place out! The atmosphere, food, drinks, and service were excellent. Priced well too. My favorite dish was the salmon bruschetta.

Great drink selection with the beers (3 floyds!) and wines. Food was very tasty and different, loved all the appetizers, bites, and specials. Plenty of vegetarian options as well. I wasn't impressed with the two desserts our group ordered, one was a yogurt type cake topped with berries (too sour) and a orange sherbet in a fancy glass. Service was excellent, very friendly staff.

Unacceptable. I ordered the "Zucchini, squash, mushrooms, angel hair with light cream sauce. Topped with stuffed Zucchini blossom." The server brought me a plate of bland, ramen-like noodles with only baby squash thinking I wouldn't notice that basically ALL of the ingredients that actually made the dish sound good was missing! Really?? Fuck that. The server didn't even bother letting me know that the main star of the dish was not available. I asked him about the stuffed zucchini blossom as I poked at my plate in search of it and he was like, "It was only one flower, anyway," and shrugged. Are you shitting me? Completely disappointed because I could have chosen another dish. It's okay if you run out of ingredients - I get it, it happens - but just let the fucking customer know. On top of that, the dish was bland. The pasta was OK but it really reminded me of ramen noodles. Other things we ordered: Artichoke and Leek Dip: Again, bland...and pancetta was definitely not crispy. Leeks were very weak in the dish. Crispy Smelts w/ roasted tomato garlic aioli: Again, season your food! Just a small pinch of salt on top of the fried smelt as it come out of the fryer goes a long way. I had to ask for some lemon because the flavor fell flat on this dish. Lemon brightens it up a bit. My boyfriend had the Spring Pea Ravioli: All he had to say was that it was in-offensive. How's that for a backhanded compliment. 5-stars for the wine for allowing me deal with the disappointing experience just a little bit better. Shame, the place had a nice vibe. The place needs to train their servers (or at least one of their servers) better.

Love this place! I have been to Enolo several times and loved it so when my mom came into town, I took her here as well. She was a huge fan. We ordered a bottle and were told that a portion of the purchase would be donated to a specific charity. Our server Dana was the absolute best! She was really attentive, sweet, and knowledgeable about the wines. My mom was so impressed that when we returned several weeks later after a graduation celebration, we specifically asked for Dana just to say hello. (She brought out complimentary champagne--super nice!) Anyway, love this place. Great wine selection, great service, and great ambience.

I think I need to give this place another try, considering that it has such a high rating and my experience left me unimpressed. I came here over the summer, when it first opened. Initial impressions were that it was a great addition to the River North neighborhood. Upon entering during after work happy hour, I was overwhelmed with the noise volume in this restaurant. I'm all for a lively atmosphere, but they were blasting terrible music (old pop and hip hop) and everyone's voices carry very far given the metal plated ceiling. I will say that the bruschetta was fantastic. However, this place felt less like an upscale wine bar to me, and more like a rowdy after dinner spot. Would I come back? Maybe, but only knowing that it's got a bit of a "clubby" identity crisis.

We tasted amazing flights tonight and even got to sip an extra based on the conversation with our amazing knowledgable servicer Dana. What a great way to learn about wine and explore "likes". Dana was the best ...so lovely and it was as if she had an unexplained calm energy about her that made our evening so enjoyable. Thanks. Highly recommend this place. Quiet enough to have a good conversation. Post

This place is a huge rip off. We had ordered the chefs plate and a bottle of Merlot. All the wine, meat and cheeses were something you would buy from Walgreens for $15. Very disappointed and will not be back.

What a great spot! Great "off the beaten path" wine selection with the option of flights, glasses, and bottles. I've been to many wine bars where the quality of food doesn't match the quality of list but Enolo is not the case.

  • Jasmine C.

Absolutely love the decor and vibe in here! We sat at the bar and our service was fantastic. I enjoyed my flights and the charcuterie was great. I wasn't blown away by the bruschetta we chose (bacon jam w/burrata) but I will definitely return and I'm excited to try more of their food!

  • Mel K.

Ambiance is wonderful, the wine was good, some of the food was tasty, some, not so great. The bruschetta is absolutely delicious! Try the roasted red pepper and goat cheese and the brie, fig, and apple combinations. I ordered the margherita pizza and I would not recommend it. Stick to wine flights and bruschetta!

Was here with a friend for dinner on 1/29/15. There were no reservations on Open Table and I called ahead to ask if they could fit a party of 2, and they were extremely accommodating. Fit us in right at my requested 7:30 reservation. The entire staff was very welcoming. I forget our waitresses name but she was great. The GM's - I think Eric and Billy - made it a point to stop by our table and ask how everything was. Both were very personable and knowledgable. Food was great. Truffle fries and 4 bruschetta - roasted red pepper and goat cheese, brie, bacon jam, and prosciutto. Plenty of food for two people. Wine - we each did a red wine flight - No I in Team and Premiere Cru. Eric was particularly helpful/informative when we asked about the wines. Great date night choice, great food and service.

Me and a girlfriend just went to Enolo tonight, had Rona as our waitress, and truly had one of the best experiences! We are huge foodies and enjoy many of the amazing restaurants in Chicago, and this is one of our absolute FAVORITES! The food was amazing (we had the brie bruschetta, marg pizza, fried goat cheese, grilled cheese, tiramisu, macaroons, and had a variety of their wines)-- ALL AMAZING. We loved the wine flights. It's a cute wine bar atmosphere, with a great vibe. And Rona was wonderful, great customer service. I will definitely be bringing my husband back here, along with family and friends any chance I can get! This place is amazing, I highly recommend!

Stopped in here for a glass of wine on a Monday afternoon. My friend and I sat for two hours talking and had only one glass of wine each, but the manager and servers were so attentive and let us talk. The manager helped us choose a wine - three dollars cheaper than our first choice - that was delicious. (We chose Pinot Noir, and he suggested an Italian wine that was great.) We didn't eat - too busy talking! - but I will definitely be back for wine and food.

Went to Enolo with a coworker for lunch and everything from the adorable restaurant, to the decor, to the food was perfect. We shared a few of the bruschettas (the salmon one was our favorite), had 2 salads (kale one and Beet one) and left stuffed and very happy with our meal. The place is great for lunch/dinner/ Happy hour. Would highly recommend!

Went here for drinks last Saturday and it was really great. They have a a large variety of wines and they do flights, which is great to try a few before committing to a bottle. The place is small and cozy, while looking very modern and sophisticated. They also had great music, just background and not loud, but not just bad elevator music which they do a lot in this type of places. They have a nice (but tiny) food menu, we didn't eat so I can't comment on the food. Service was really great, very attentive but not overwhelming. Had a great experience, really have nothing bad to say.

Just happened to find this gem while walking down Clark St at midnight on Thursday night. I'm not a wine connoisseur by any means, simply a casual wine drinker, but it appeared as if the wine menu was inclusive of a wide array of international selections coupled with various domestic choices. I had a French Bordeaux and a red sangria, while my fiancée opted for a glass of rose wine and white sangria. Given the time of night, it was hardly busy, probably less than 10 patrons at the time, but the bartender/waiter was very attentive and knowledgable. The very intimate setting provided for an excellent and enjoyable night. Also, considering the extensive selections and knowledgable staff, the wine bar was quite affordable.

Great place to start your evening off for a few expertly selected wines or end your evening with a quick drink. The space is perfectly sized; not cavernous but not so big that you feel like you're squeezed in.

Nice, cozy wine bar with good food and pleasant staff. I would definitely go back. We had the artichoke dip which had large whole artichoke and the chicken salad to start, both were very good. I liked that the blue cheese wasn't overpowering in the salad. We also had the fish chowder soup and tuna panini with Swiss cheese. Both tasty. Boyfriend had a nice cab with his meal. I'd go back and try one of their wine flights.

This place is adorable and delicious! I hosted my bridesmaids luncheon here a couple of weeks ago. The staff at Enolo was wonderful to work with and helped me come up with a menu that would work best for my group of ten ladies. We started with champagne flights for everyone, then a couple of different salads to try, along with four different kinds of bruchettas and a couple of flatbread pizzas. All of the food was very good, and the service was wonderful. They even let us bring in our own mini cupcakes for dessert and even plated them for us! Wonderful experience at Enolo and perfect for my bridesmaids luncheon!

Started off great as soon as we walked in. Didn't have reservations so we were told it would be a while. Had a really sweet server as well. Great vibe!

I would like to change my review. I went back and was very impressed how things changed in seven days lol :). The ravioli was cooked to a desirable texture this time. And I could actually taste the brown butter sauce that became very addicting very quick. Eric recomended the root chips and the were light and fresh. Loved them. Im glad I gave this cute wine bar a second chance. Thanks to all who made my second experience here a better one. Cheers.

Great spot for date night or after work drinks with a friend! Great atmosphere, friendly staff; very approachable wine bar! I came here with a friend for after work, and though the hostess seated us at a communal table, she told us she would give us a more private spot if it came available. To my delight, she was true to her word! The waiters/waitresses were great at explaining the different wines and always offered a taste. Overall, great experience and I will go back in a heartbeat!

The food was delicious, although the menu is very small. The wine was fantastic as well as the selection was great. I would say a special or a few more main selections would push this into near perfect territory. Our party of 3 wanted to order 3 different mains and it was a challenge. The decorations are beautiful in this tiny River North space, but the seating isn't super comfortable

Came down here with my girlfriends for drinks for a birthday celebration. Everything about this place is awesome, we each had a different wine flight and shared four of the bruschetta. Each one was great, although I would suggest the salmon and olive ones. Our waitress Marissa was delightful and Erik the manager was very helpful with wines, the neighborhood and how long we could leave our car at the valet. I will definitely be back! Thanks Erik.

Came here Tuesday night for dinner and drinks with a friend and could not have had a better experience! Our server, Marissa, was fantastic and was ready with some great wine recommendations-especially loved the rose and the white Bordeaux she suggested! Our food was perfect-the only issue that we had was trying to narrow down which bruschettas to order! (I highly recommend the bacon jam and Burrata-it was my favorite). The atmosphere was perfect, great decor and good music but playing softly enough to have a conversation over. The manager, Eric, also came by to chat and was very warm and welcoming. Great wine selection, attentive and incredibly friendly service, delicious food, and a lovely interior! I will be back very soon!

Fantastic hospitality. We ordered their wonderful bruschettas. Excellent wine selections. Woooo! For a restaurant that just opened a few weeks ago, I was very impressed. Started off with some wine flights and the GM came over to educate us on wine tasting and the various wines we were drinking. Nice touch! We ordered the squash blossoms, watercress salad, and 4 types of bruschetta (shrimp pesto, prosciutto, brie + fig and bacon jam). Everything was delightful! Our server was attentive and so knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. The space had a really cool vibe too. I will definitely be back!!

I read the reviews and thought it would be a nice place to celebrate my birthday. The decor and champagne flight was nice but the food and service was less than. They seemed to be short on staff, we went on a Wednesday about 6:30 pm. The same guy literally was our waiter, the bartender and the support for the sidewalk cafe. I expected a bit more from the menu even though I reviewed it online. Most of the disappointment came when all of our food the appetizer and entrees came out backwards. Who wants to eat bruschetta after they have pizza. My friends both ordered the gnocchi and had to send back as it arrived cold. I ordered the pizza. It was ok. In a city known for it's pizza, regardless of theme of you can't do it right don't add to the menu. I've been to Italy and this was not it. No one would automatically send out a pizza covered with crushed red pepper. I'm usually the one among my friends known to pick the cool spots to eat and I felt like I let them down. Thank God I was too excited just about my bday to let let down of this choice bring me down. At best this turned out to be a nice place to stop for a glass of wine or champagne on your way to another locale.

The GM is great. The wine list could use a second look- should be a wider selection by region in my opinion. Neat interior, gets loud later on.

I like this little place. I will just mention on the ambience and the wine selection. Nice chill place in River North. Great selection of wine, some wine flights, and some small bites. I had the Bienvenue a Bordeaux flight ($13). Had a Chateau Lescalle, AltoCedro, and Black Stallion. Of the three, I really loved the malbec. The flavors blended very nicely. The first merlot was too peppery/oaky/ had a lot of tannins that my throat had trouble sipping down. The service was great and the place itself is very beautiful.

  • Shan D.

This is a nice, somewhat intimate spot with a huge wine selection. I wouldn't say the wine flights that we ordered were amazing, but they weren't awful either. I've just had better ones at other spots. The service was great, and the place is quite loud on a Thursday evening. I almost felt like I was at a club. I wouldn't mind coming back, but I think the wine selection is better at Eno.

  • Grant M.

Ok this place is definitely worth a second look. After my last review I was contacted by their management which was nice. While I didn't respond, I decided to give them another shot and stopped by with some friends for happy hour. We had a couple glasses of wine each, the artichoke a leek dip and some bruschetta. It was all very good (esp the dip!) and we had a nice time. Service was great. I'll probably come back. You should give it a try.

I've walked past this place multiple times since it opened and finally had a chance to go in on a Friday after work. The ambiance of the place was great, but the music was a bit loud. I felt like I was shouting my entire conversation to my dining partner. We both ordered wine flights that were very good and we both ended up getting and full glasses of several of the ones we tried. The food was pretty good. We got the margherita pizza and fried goat cheese. Unfortunately, the fried goat cheese came in three balls, with 4 pieces of bread. That math doesn't make sense to me, and we obviously needed more bread. It took a bit longer than it should have to receive the bread, but it was fine. The not fine part was that we were charged for the extra bread... All in all, the experience was a good one, just with a couple hiccups, they definitely won't prohibit me from returning. The wine is great and well-priced, which is not an easy feat in Chicago. The food is good and complimentary to the wine. I'll have to try the truffle fries next... both tables surrounding ours ordered them and they looked and smelled amazing.

Came here on a whim with a friend and am so glad we did! The bruschetta was amazing! The service was great, the ambience and decor were great, but it's the music that will keep me coming back (R&B, because that's what grown and sexy people listen to).

Hustling and bustling. Kris R and I stopped in here after the Yelp event. Its SUPER cute in here. Lots of sharable plates. We had the bruschetta with burrata and bacon. $4 for a HUGE ass piece...I love me big things that are reasonable in price. It was delish! Service was great. Relaxed but on the game. The GM came over to check on things. Friend had a glass o wine. I didnt really look at the list but it looked extensive. Pretty loud inside, but I liked it. Great new addition!

Everything about this place is spot on. Easy location, open and clean decor, super friendly service by everyone, great prices, great wines, delicious nosh. Its like an upscale Cheers! The people make you feel so at home that you want to become a regular. Plus, you know, the wines and cheeses. I met up with 4 other ladies one night after work. We were all drinking different wines by the glass. I had the sparkling rose which is wonderful. We decided to try four of the bruschettas, some cheese and fried squash blossoms. I think the number one was the artichoke bruschetta.

I came here on a Friday night and the place was full, the hostess was nice enough to give us a table they had reserved as long as we were out in an hour. The ambiance is cozy and elegant. The service from beginning to end was attentive and totally not pretentious considering the area. The food was great, generous portions sizes and decent prices too. Had 4 types of bruschetta, the salmon pesto and the white bean and grape tapenade were amazing; the tiramisu deserves an honorable mention. If I had to complain on something it would have to be the wine selection, they maybe need to add more variety, all seemed pretty similar in taste, but even then they sent their sommelier over for some suggestions. They earned their 4 stars, I can see it becoming a regular here.

Enolo has the bones of a great wine bar, but does have a few things to work on. First, the successes- the service was impeccable and the ambience is totally gorgeous. I took pictures of the great gold ceiling with chandeliers. The fig butter and brie bruschetta and the salmon and creme fraiche bruschetta were delicious. The crispy smelts were also awesome- I wanted to order seconds. The halibut with rainbow cauliflower was awesome and beautiful to look at. Finally, the spring pea ravioli was so tender and delicious and delicate- a total win! The opportunities for improvement lie within some of the dishes. The oysters, for example, just weren't good. It's rare that I find an oyster I don't like, but the basil and tomato mignonette on top was impossible to swallow with the oyster and it needed a boost of acidity- a squirt of lemon would have been great. The prosciutto and mascarpone bruschetta with candied figs was decidedly bland. Finally, the bacon jam and torched burrata bruschetta was bad. You can't really go wrong with bacon jam and melted cheese... but that bruschetta was absolutely bland and not tasty, and the arugula mess on top made it a pain to eat. Those are all fixable items though! As I work around the corner, I know I will be back again and hope that with time and experience, Enolo will overcome some of these initial tests!

Three stars, to me, is a rating that embodies "on the bubble." Some three-star establishments are those I'm not super interested in visiting again, whereas there are others that I wouldn't mind seeing in the future. I went here Saturday night for some post-dinner drinks with a friend, since we both were super curious about it. At the beginning, the service was insanely slow - e.g. tons of different servers walking by, noticing us not having been acknowledged yet, and walking away. The waiter we finally got, though, was incredibly nice, and he was so helpful regarding different wines and flights. My flight was pretty good - I didn't have any wine that wowed me, but I am not an expert. I had a glass of sparkling wine, too, which was good, too. The service continued to lag, though. Our flights took a long time, and our nice waiter (who was likely doing all he could!) explained to us that the dishes were just done, so the wine glasses were too hot. I appreciate not having to handle burning hot glass, but at a place that specializes in wine, maybe they can oil the wheels of the machine a little better?

My bf and I were looking for a wine bar to grab a quick bite to eat and a have a few drinks before a movie- so glad we stopped here! We went at 5 on a Saturday and could easily find a seat. We sat at a window table which was great for people watching on clark street. The interior has a trendy/romantic vibe and I loved the decor. I got a gin/lemonade/sparking wine cocktail which was good but a little too sweet for my taste. My 2nd drink was a Malbec that was very good. My bf got a red flight and enjoyed it. The best part was the bruschetta. We got 4 varieties as a snack but it ended up becoming a light dinner because of the generous portion size! My favorite was the prosciutto and fig. Dana was our server and she was extremely friendly and knowledgable.

Really nice little wine bar/restaurant right in River North. Décor is very neat and interesting. I actually would recommend this place for the food as well as the wine. I think the goal for this restaurant is to make money on the wine sales as glasses I believe were around $9 (at a minimum) to $12 on average. The food however was very good. We got 4 of the bruschettas which are 4 sets of 4 bruschettas for $14. And they were all quite good! I recommend the prosciutto/olive tapenade and the shrimp bruschetta. The Paninis and salads are in that same price point too and pretty reasonable. Just watch out for the wine tab like I said.
