I got the snow crab roll for $6.95. It was OK... the rice was of really low quality.

Great for a quick sushi lunch, wait was not bad, 7min for a complicated order. Ingredients are fresh and service is good. While you wait grab smoothie next door. Makes for a perfect lunch combo.

The roll was fine until I bit into a piece of glass that was inside my food! When I went to the counter, the woman (I assume the owner) was not around. The chef who didn't speak English well took a look at the glass and said he didn't know where it came from and that he was sorry. He said sorry multiple times, but we were not offered a refund or anything! This could have easily been a lawsuit against them! DO NOT GO HERE. I definitely will never return.

You know what irks me? Short lunch breaks. How can any one enjoy a meal and relax in less than 30 minutes?! I'm used to leisurely, hour-long lunches at past jobs. Anyway, I realized that I spent half of my lunch break wandering around the French Market devouring as many free samples as possible. I needed something quick and easy to eat, and EJ Sushi caught my eye. The pre-made rolls looked pretty good and I had a hard time deciding between the mango salmon and hamachi! I went with the latter since it had a good fish to rice ratio. I wanted the roll to go, but before I could ask for a bag, the cashier literally ran away. What a strange transaction. Anyway, the roll was decent and I may try some more next time.

After taking one glance at the sushi in the display case, I knew I couldn't order any rolls.. the rice-to-ingredient ratio was horrid, and there was a bunch of random sauces drizzled over every sushi roll. I like my sushi traditional and my fish fresh. I doubted that a small sushi counter in the French Market would have the freshest nigiri in town, so I decided to go with the Chicken YakiSoba, thinking "It's pretty hard to screw this dish up!" Sadly, they did screw this dish up. This tasted like the Maruchan Instant YakiSoba that my friends and I would make in our dorm rooms before we moved into apartments with real kitchens. Actually, it tasted even worse, it that's even possible. Everything - noodles, 'chicken' (ha, chicken? more like tough-to-chew rocks), veggies - was lukewarm, dry, unfresh, and overall disgusting. I took a few bites and threw it away. I also would've complained about the small portions had it actually tasted decent, but it obviously didn't really matter this time around. WASTE OF 11+ DOLLARS....!! Take 2 steps backwards and get in line for Little Goat Bread.

The service here has become terrible. I waited 25 minutes for my food on March 16. 20 minutes in, a gentleman order one of the rolls I ordered and it was handed right to him.

Always fresh fish and quick service. A must try place! They have brown rice as well. Everything is made fresh.

Pros: seems pretty fresh, lady at counter was friendly, got my order fast Cons: slightly overpriced (Boston roll, California roll and a can of Grapefruit San Pellegrino = $16.00), only gave me 2 packets of soy sauce for two rolls of sushi! Meh. Not impressed. I will continue my search for Loop sushi.

I ordered a spicy salmon and a Mango Tango both with brown rice, meaning it was to be a fresh order. It was served warm (not in a good way), the fish was not fresh and smelled and the rolls where bland. I will never waste my money at this place again. If you want decent fastfood sushi go to Tokyo Lunchbox.

Found a huge sharp bone in my spicy salmon roll. Pierced my tongue, what a disaster. Avoid this place.

I had the Ginger Salad and a Philly Roll. Both were really good and the prices were fair. They get three stars for that. Originally, I ordered the Snow Crab Roll. That's what it's called and the first ingredient is crabmeat. The texture in the display looked like real crab. One would expect a Snow Crab Roll would consist of snow crab, right? Nope. It was imitation crabmeat that had been shredded to resemble the real thing. They lose two points for being deceptive. Shame on you, EJ. The staff was nice though.

I came here today for lunch to buy some sushi to take back to my desk to eat. I ordered a salmon and avocado roll to go, and instead of giving me the pre-made one in the case, they made me a fresh one. This made me happy because the roll was so delicious (none of that refrigerated hard rice). The avocado was creamy and the salmon was fresh! I will definitely be back! Yum!

Maybe we lucked out, but the Caterpillar roll was the best ever. Fine eel. Nice folks here too.

I got the shrimp tempura roll (a guilty favorite of mine) and a vegetable japanese udon. The shrimp roll was great, but very tiny! And yes, as mentioned before, it is made fresh, the boxes in front are just for display purposes I think. But yeah, my roll was very small, be warned! The udon seemed small for its price too, but also very delicious. And be warned, it is SPICY! The broth at least, and it offers a nice kick to everything else, I just wouldn't recommend drinking the broth plain. xD If you have the money to splurge on very nice, but very small rolls, go for it!

I've only been there once, but it seems decent. The price is nice and the pieces of fish for Sashimi and Nigiri are large. The Himachi was a little fishy, but I'll give them another try.

Not any better than sushi from a supermarket I will not be returning.
