Amazing! Flavor of the day or the generic filling. Fresh handmade handdipped into cinnamon sugar! Ive not tried the other dessets but this is the place to go for your cravings. I specifically find excuses to drive out this way. Luckily theres a location by my job! The main location is tiny, so its a grab-and-go by the catholic school.

I was having a flat tire repaired around the corner, so stopped in here to kill some time and wait. MmMmM churros! There are flavor injectors up front that can fill or top your churros with several flavors - vanilla, chocolate, caramel, strawberry, and a daily rotating mystery flavor: guava, pineapple, peanut butter, etc. Churros are just over a buck for the plain ones, but you can also get a Fiesta Churro with whipped cream and sprinkles (as R. Kelly would say, "fiesta, fiesta"), a churro sundae with ice cream, churritos (mini churros), or a funnel cake or a chocolate covered frozen banana if churros aren't for you. They also have a variety of drinks: lemonade, coffee, lattes, shakes, smoothies, abuelita, and atole. They will also sell you abuelita by the gallon, if you happen to need that much, a little funny to see that on the menu! I ordered the churritos (8 mini churros, just over $2) drizzled with strawberry topping, and they were fried fresh and hot with plenty of ooey gooey sauce that stained my fingers red. I also had a pecan atole; delicious, but not appropriate for the warm weather nor very thirst-quenching after churros, live and learn! I prefer this shop to Don Churro; there's just more to offer here, though the Don is also good if you're up that way.

Love the churro factory. Today we sampled the chocolate, strawberry, and cream cheese. My personal favorite was the cream cheese. They were fresh right out of the frier. Also ordered a chocolate milkshake. Creamy and a hint of dark chocolate. No better snack for a Sunday afternoon.

It's not as bad as these reviews are saying! I don't think I'll be back but was a decent snack to hold us over!

This was my first visit to any of the local four Churro Factories. Even though I live a bit closer to the Oak Lawn location I figured I'd try the Pilsen location just off 22nd street as my first exposure. The stairs up to the door are high and narrow. Someone with a cane or wheelchair would likely not be able to get inside. The inside is fairly clean but the tables and chairs were a bit messy and in disarray. The flavor pumps and counter were spotless. Service was friendly. I ordered chocolate, strawberry, and plain churros. When I arrived home I discovered that the plain churro I ordered was actually filled with peanut butter. Not what I ordered and it didn't taste good. The chocolate and strawberry churros were good and fresh. I did sample one of my chocolate churros on the way home and they tasted better while fresh out of the fryer. They were still quite tasty hours later. I do wish there was somewhere in the area where I could get Churros y Chocolate like I had in Madrid, Spain. Fresh deep fried donuts (more doughy than American churros) with thick almost pudding-like hot chocolate to dip them in. Truly like heaven.

Visited the churro factory for a pre-dinner snack. We sampled the chocolate filled churros and the cream cheese filled churros. The chocolate filled churro was good, but I wasnt blown away by either of them. I would have loved a Spanish churro experience where you get a plate of churros and a cup of hot chocolate to dip them in (rather than filled churros).

After checking out the reviews I can know have my own. Well I really like this little place my Hot Chocolate was so good. I got a box of 12. And when I got home 2 were missing my Son said ( what happen )lol. We missing 2 (yeah I know).I was doing a taste test. The cream cheese is my favorite. This is a cute shop nice and clean. I Well be going back

These churros are delicious... probably the best I've had. They are so soft on the inside and perfectly crispy on the outside, so delicious. I love watching them fill it up right in front of you. I've gotten all the flavors and they are all legit, so I have no specific recommendations. I was going to give it a 4 star since they gave me my churros in a paper bag and when i got home the grease soaked through the entire bag. But then I realized I'm not rating this place based on how healthy the food is, but on how good the churros are. 5 stars!!! Don't come here too often for your own good though!

Yummy yummy yummers. Need I say more. If your looking for a quick dessert fix, The Churro Factory is the place to be. You will walk in with a sweet tooth and walk out with your taste buds fulfilled. Make sure you get there when everything is fresh, hot and ready. No one likes stale or cold churro treats. I haven't tried there other snacks but I'm sure they are wonderful as well. I get a dozen of churros for a whomping $10. Variety pack is a must, which includes their flavors of the day. Eat Up!

I love this place! Affordable prices and great items on the menu. I had passed this place many times over the last few months, but had never stopped. I finally tried this place for the first time a little over a month ago, and now I am hooked. I have only had the churros and two of the hot chocolate drinks, but they were all delicious. The staff here is also very nice, and I am never waiting for too long.

I stumbled upon this place by accident, and I couldn't be happier for it. $1 churros and soft as can be! The usual flavors are here along with daily flavors that they alternate. I had the vanilla and strawberry, and I can still remember the taste even after all these years. The vanilla was creamy, but had a pudding-ish creaminess to it. The strawberry was more of a jam/jelly, but was sweet and complimented the churro's sugary, soft crispy dough. If you're in Pilsen, you'll want to swing by this shop. It's small, but grab your churros (yes buy multiple!) to go and walk around Pilsen during a nice summer day in Chicago.

Omg this place is awesome!!! We found it by mistake and are glad we came. We ordered a dozen with mixed flavors, there was only 3 of us and we finished them all in one sitting. We will b back!

  • Mike H.

Stopped in for a dulce de leche churro. They had a few unfilled ones in a heating tray and I was a bit concerned about getting a stale one, but the churro was great! Warm and crunchy outside but soft in the middle. Will definitely stop in again.

I reviewed this place a few years back when it had a different name; glad the food didn't change! This place makes killer churros with more fillings than your traditional fare! I have brought people from out of town here & each one has made the long trek back for more on their own! It is also a great introduction to people who have never had a Mexican Antojito before! I highly recommend it!

Fresh churros with your choice of fillings.. What's not to love? From papaya to Nutella and everything in between... Service is good, prices are cheap. Food is outstanding... No more to say

Before I moved from Pilsen, this place was a regular draw for me. Anytime I craved something hot, fried, doughy, and sweet, going here was pretty much my only thought. For only about a buck, you can have fresh churros filled with a variety of flavors, most pretty delicious. Of the everyday flavors, my favorite's the cream cheese. Of the weekly specials, it was all about the dulce de leche. I highly recommend this place.

FOOD - Quality of the food was great when it was fresh! Churros apparently don't hold up too well after a few days, even in a sealed zip-loc bag. SERVICE - Service was great. I ordered 3 dozen churros (for group function) and was able to return a half-hour later to pick up the completed order. The girl at the checkout was friendly. :) RESTAURANT - Dining indoors wasn't really an option. The place is VERY small, and was filled with school kids when I was in there; this resulted in nowhere to sit! I took the churros home and enjoyed them on the couch. Also, there was nowhere to park, so I parked my truck in the pharmacy parking lot next door. OVERALL - Great churros, good service, and pleasant overall experience. Would recommend.

DELICIOUS. Made the trip down to this place all the way from Lincoln Square and it was worth it. A+, 10/10. There's a step right when you open the door to the bathroom though so watch out

  • Sonny S.

These churros are the best I've ever had! Definitely worth trying if you're ever in Chicago. These fried cinnamon sugar covered pastries are made fresh daily and come piping hot filled right in front of you with your choice of chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, cream cheese apple or pineapple. The exterior is crispy while the inside is soft and cake-y like a doughnut. YUM. My favorite filling has to be vanilla which was similar to a bavarian cream - thick and luscious. I could eat a dozen all by myself. Whatever you end up choosing, it'll be amazinnn'. They also alternate a special filling that's featured daily - some that I've tried include nutella, guava, dulce de leche and peanut butter. If that hasn't convinced you to try these churros out, they're only a buck each!! WHAAAT?! But if churros aren't yo thang, they also sell funnel cake, crepes, and an assortment of ice creams. No complaints about service. They were very friendly, quick and efficient. The interior is pretty small so it wouldn't be ideal for a huge group - I'd say it's more of a grab 'n go kinda joint.

First time visiting here today! I've wanted to try this place before and finally got the chance. The actual place was very small inside, the pictures made it look bigger. The staff was friendly and the desserts were awesome!! Got two Churros for two dollars. Can't beat that! You have to have a serious sweet tooth though, these things aren't messing around.

I thought there would be more than four flavor varieties since this place is called the Churro Factory. I thought it would be the end all, be all, to Mexican pastry deliciousness. Even though the flavor options were somewhat boring I will admit the churros here are the best I've had. They are soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. These aren't the tough, dry churros I've had elsewhere. Every day they add a fifth flavor and it rotates the same each week. I didn't recognize what Friday's flavor was, which was surprising because my Spanish isn't that terrible. I generally recognize names of fruits or foods. Every day they have chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, and cream cheese though. I would have liked to try the peanut butter, apple, pina colada or Nutella, but I was there on the wrong day. The filling comes out of a tube, and the girl behind the counter fills them for you. I had one chocolate and one cream cheese. I also tried my husband's strawberry churro, but I liked the cream cheese best, although strawberry was definitely #2. The chocolate tastes too much like Hershey's chocolate syrup. For only $1/each, it's a perfect snack while wandering through Pilsen. Visiting Churro Factory is a must if you are in the area, but it's not a place I'd make a destination out of. A lot of kids were just getting out of school and stopping in to hang out, so there's a possibility that the few tables here will be full and you'll be stuck sitting in your car or walking down the street to eat your churros.

  • Gabriela T.

Honestly, you will not find better churros for this price. They're pretty damn good. On top of that, every single drink I've tried here is delicious, my "go-to" being the Spicy Abuelita Hot Chocolate. I went two days ago and I witnessed someone being rude to one of the employees, but she continued to be polite. She later told me that it was always better to laugh it off. That's admirable.

It's a pretty good sign that you've found a quality spot when a business has less than standing room on a Sunday afternoon in February. What's torture, is smelling fresh churros the entire time you wait for your freshly made treats. You can watch your made to order churros being prepared while you wait. You cannot find a fresher option than this.

  • Aidan S.

Great tasting churros right out of the fryer. My first visit to any of their locations because I heard nothing but good things. However I'm disappointed that my order of churros wasn't given to me correctly and the cafe de olla was more like agua de olla (water from a pot). It was tasteless. I returned to replace my coffee and I was reimbursed $1, less than what I paid for, confused. I didn't put a fight because I want to support small businesses however I'll never go to that one again.

  • Love L.

Customer service is blah. The funnel cake was great and the lemonade. The yogurt was very watery and I paid $4.00 for it. Still cannot get myself to eat it. Basically it is a cup with milk and a spoon of yogurt.

  • Ashley C.

The Churro Factory is awesome! I ordered a dozen Churros for only $10.00. Not bad at all. Lemonade was alright. Wish I would've tried the spicy mexican chocolate drink. I would've gave it five stars if the tables and floor were cleaner. Other than that, this place is great. I will definitely go back.

  • Kathleen M.

The Churros here are a definite five because they are so darn fresh, you can see them being made before your eyes. Then you can get them filled exactly how you want them. You will be so excited you might think you need to buy them in all kinds of flavors. You would be wrong. Not that these aren't delicious but they are very filling what with all that freshly fried dough, sugar cinnamon and filling. I ordered three and could only eat two. But I was too full, I should have stopped at one. Or not eaten lunch. The store itself is small and a bit shabby. We took ours to the car and ate them on the ride home. A bonus was that we were there as school was letting out and it was cute as heck to see all the neighborhood kids were stopping by for a churro. I would go again but I would have an empty tummy so maybe I could eat two and not feel like a beached whale.

I did not purchase a Churro. $5 plastic limit and I had no cash. This review is based on the customer service. It was clear that I did not belong there from my first foot in the door. I was not "greeted" and I was not attended to as the native Spanish speakers were. The cashier did not seem pleased that I did not know right away what I wanted. My questions about any house specialties were answered with grunts and then short words. The native Spanish speakers were treated nicely; maybe I needed to speak Spanish. There was dialogue and smiles reciprocated through their ordering process. I would seriously have ordered $5 worth of something were I made to feel like a valued customer. I simply excused myself, especially after seeing how not friendly they were to me.

This is why it pays off to watch where people check in. Thanks to Maria G. for alerting me to this total gem. I mean if you can ignore the graffiti outside. I don't usually eat churros. I think of them as being tough and greasy. Clearly that is because I had never had one from the Churro Factory. We came in post brunch wanting something sweet. We ordered one of each kind of churro: strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, and cream cheese. There was a long wait and we didn't see any churros ready to go. That is because they were making them fresh in the back. OMG! To die for! They were hot, fluffy and melt in your mouth delicious. My favorite was the strawberry and the hubz preferred the chocolate. They were all oustanding. The hot drinks (hot chocolate, cafe con leche) were not as impressive as they came out of a machine. But that's ok because the churros more than made up for it. So, turn a blind eye to gang markings on the exterior because the tremendous cinnamon sugar pillows you find on the inside are worth it!

I ordered three kinds of stuffed churros and they were all delicious. I have memories of churros from Disneyland as a kid and went here hoping to relive that experience. As anyone who loves churros will expect, the food at the Churro Factory was leagues above what you can get at Disneyland. The churros were fresh, warm, and decadent. Such a treat. I went here with my mother in law, who is Mexican, and she got along with the staff so well, too. They were really friendly and helped her choose exactly what she wanted to feel like she was at home again! It's a small little shop that fits right into the Pilsen neighborhood. Great experience.

  • Rachel C.

perfectly crispy on the outside with a chewy and fluffy interior. tthe strawberry filling was delightful. Ice cream scoops are large too. I wouldn't consider myself having had a real churro until now. Costco churros don't count.

  • Harris Q.

Plain and simple is best and they do it perfectly. The churro filled with chocolate was delicious! The horchata wasn't great though, so skip that. I'll get the Mexican hot chocolate next time.

What a great place for kids! On our kids tour of Pilsen this was our final stop. When we pulled up there was easy free parking. The girl working the counter was friendly and helpful. You choose your quantity of Churros and they make them in the back. Fresh. You then choose your fillings. Today there was a choice of chocolate vanilla strawberry and guava. We choose 2 of each and two plain. The nice girl let us watch our Churros being filled and handed us warm crispy on the outside and soft and sweet on the inside perfect Churros. Best ice ever had. We had so much fun here and the prices were cheap. A dozen Churros for ten bucks . Pilsen was a great place to go with kids and this was a great way to end it!!

  • Kari G.

I've only been here once, so i don't have too much to say, but I was impressed by the low price combined with the quality of the churros! I don't know how they do it! :)

  • Alvina C.

??????? ok the mystery flavor isn't really such a mystery. It's actually written on the wall, but no matter---this quaint little place is churro heaven. I want a churro squirty/stuffing machine. They have a fancy hot cocoa machine to top it off too. The churros were crisp, warm, and had a closed end so all the gooey filling won't ooze out onto your clothing, making you look like a 2 year old with a bib that's too small. The price is right and if you buy a dozen, even better. Not too many seats in there, but that's just fine as taking it to go is good---so I don't sit there and inhale all of the churros in one sitting. Definitely an awesome little find!!!! Can't wait to try the other flavors, had a taste of pineapple, strawberry, and chocolate---before my kiddies devoured the box.

Fresh Churro and they add the favors for you as you order. I really like the pineapple and strawberry and with the mexican spice hot chocolate was perfection. I would totally just order for a party next time.

Ate here twice, based on Yelp reviews. Best Churro I've had in a very long time!!!!! Hot Chocolate (Abuelita) is great too! Thumbs up! Cheap too!

I had a LivingSocial deal to use up and went on the last day. I ordered like a dozen churros, churro fiesta and funnel cake to try. Churros were good, but definitely need to eat them fresh. I have to say that the ones at the Maxwell Street Market is better or maybe because I eat them fresh there. I got mostly chocolate, a few strawberries and 2 peanut butter to try (flavor of the day). Wish they were filled a bit better though on some of them. My BIL ate the churro fiesta, but it's basically a churro with whipped cream. By the time he ate it the whipped cream was all melted down. Funnel Cake - I did not eat this, but my sister didn't like it.

  • Christina F.

YES! Like I mentioned in my review of Don Churro, I can still get better churros in MA, but these are the closest they have come to the ones back home. I have had ever flavor here, guilty as charged, and like them all really except for the cream cheese. Just didn't go well with the greasy fried dough. It is a little dirty and they spoke to me in Spanish. That really annoyed me, I have red hair clearly I don't know what the hell you're saying. But its in-and-out, plus churros are only a buck!

  • Akira S.

Hot churros filled with your choice of strawberry, chocolate, cream cheese, vanilla or you can just have it plain. Any way you go they're amazing! You can't beat how inexpensive everything is. Try the churritos they're so cute and delicious. I had a cream cheese filled churro covered in white chocolate and topped off with peanuts... wow. perfect with a hot chocolate. 5 estrellas !

  • Nancy H.

Quite the shack from the outside, but it's quaint and clean inside. Street parking is possible, but don't park in the Walgreen's lot. You can get plain churros, filled churros, ice cream, churros w/ice cream, coffee, and hot chocolate (Ghirardelli or Nestle Abuelita - which has a hint of cinnamon). The churros were so fresh and were still warm when they arrived in our hands. For $3-4, you can get an 8" long churro and a warm drink.

I found this place by accident about 8 months ago and was too full and too scared to go in. That was a dum-dum mistake!! Warm fresh churros await you in sugary heaven inside this place! Insanely cheap, too! Free fillings inside said churros. Yummmm! I opted for cream cheese and it was the best decision. I will definitely be back! They also serve funnel cakes. I had no idea places had funnel cakes outside of carnivals and fairs. My life has taken a turn for the better (or worse if you ask my blood sugar)!!

  • Kathy S.

I went to a festival in Pilsen a couple weeks ago and resisted buying churros because I knew I could get delicious cheaper ones from Churro Factory. I think it was $10 for a dozen (so awesome). I don't like all the fillings but I really like the dulce de leche and especially nutella from the ones I tried. FYI, they have a different special flavor everyday so I can't wait to go back on a Tuesday again to get my nutella churro.

Churro Heaven! We were in La Villita when we asked someone where the best Churros were in that area and she pointed us to a nearby place called Churro Factory. Umm YUM! It's a small place but as soon as you go in you see the wall showing you the different options of cream filled Churros. I opted for the Strawberry, my kid the chocolate, and her mom got a Churro Fiesta which is Churro with whip cream, chocolate drizzle. The price of these churros are $1 if you opt to get it filled or not. Churros were being made fresh, they were really warm, and were delicious. They also have regular funnel cakes, smoothies, and I think ice cream. Try a Churro though!

  • Mike K.

love this place!!!!! I suppose i could share more (AHEM)...tiny little place in Pilsen , so small if you didnt know it was there you wouldnt see it. HOWEVER this has to be the greatest place to intact sugar at maximum capacity. I am not a churro fan, havent eaten thiem before, however I could see where eating them by the bucketload coulc become a problem. Excellent, warm, there's cream inside if you like...not extra, they just give it to you...plus the possibility of iced coffee or smoothies....im guessing this place is packed after school days (its across the street from a high school). Anyways...go here...often....like!!

  • Kathryn F.

Yum. Hot churros filled with your choice of fillings. I went with chocolate and vanilla and a Abuelita hot chocolate on the side. My total was under $4! The churros were hot and the filling went all the way to the bottom. The mother and daughter that were working the counter were friendly and made sure that my churros were filled through. Now when I run Carrera de los Muertos this year, I know where to go for my post race treat afterward.

Oh yes, Churro Factory does it right. Freshly filled churro - either chocolate, strawberry, vanilla or cream cheese - right before your eyes. Best part? One churro is $1! Delicious treat for cheap! They also have a ton of other things on the menu - ranging from coffee, to ice cream to paninis! Yum! Cheers to a serious gem!

OH MY GOD!! if you haven't made it over to this little piece of heaven you need to go now! This quant little find was amazing. I was actually with a fellow bridesmaid for my best friends wedding looking for traditional mexican fare to go with her mexican themed bridal shower. we had made our way over to a market in the pilsen neighborhood and just didn't know where to find good churros..we asked the local cops on bikes and sure enough they had a recommendation...at first when they said Churro Factory I thought it was some kind of joke but we made our way over..only to find this tiny little building next to Walgreens that was nothing the size of a factory! My friend and I walked in to find an assortment of options on the menu and a gentleman making fresh churros to order through the glass window. We decided to purchase some churros to taste before placing an order and WOW! they were delicious! Fresh, warm and perfect with a warm chocolate or vanilla sauce! The girl behind the counter was extra nice and helpful in placing an order for pick up early saturday morning. The prices are great at this place and they have more than just churros...from pina colada's to fully sundae desserts it's a great stop to satisfy your sweet tooth....located minutes away from a school the children were swinging through the doors non stop...man I wish this was a stop on the way home from school for me when I was a kid!

This is THE spot for churros. They are freshly made and can't get any better. i try to pick some up for family parties every now and then and they are all gone immediately after i arrive. I'm a huge fan of the guava flavor on Thursdays, i would recommend it to anyone. even if you're not in the neighborhood, drive on down and check it out. i'm craving one now as i'm writing this. :)

Three little words ... Peanut Butter Churros. Only on Wednesdays!!!! So warm and yummy. So cheap. Thank god we don't live in the neighborhood. Too good to resist.

Churro Factory is PERFECT for when you want a little more "umph!" from your churro. You can order a plain churro and you can opt to have it filled with one of their tasty fillings (chocolate, cream cheese, vanilla, strawberry, or caramel). Churro Factory also has one additional flavor per day, it's like a daily special--all I can remember is that on Tuesdays you can get NUTELLA churros! Oh me, oh my!! You can also order churritos which are mini churros and you can get them drizzled with your favorite flavor. Here's the best part: you can get churro sundaes and even FUNNEL CAKES! Everything is fresh, and of course you're going have to get a beverage along with your churros! Try their lemonade--it's freshly squeezed and to die for! I love that churros are no longer a thing of carnivals, six flags, or fairs. They're a part of our neighborhood lifestyles! Definitely hit up the churro factory for plenty of churro options!

My dirty little not so secret place. I go here when I want to misbehave and get a little piece of fried dough heaven. So many options, but I usually settle on the churritos and a mexican hot chocolate. I like to get a box and bring it home to share with my family.

Yep. 5 big ones! First tried their churros at Maxwell market and wanted to go in and check out the storefront. I got a churro with cream cheese filling and iced coffee. The churro was warm and toast and the filling was creamy. My iced coffee tasted like an iced cafe con leche. Go here and enjoy a cheap tasty treat!

I'm obsessed with this place. Can't decide which is my favorite, probably vanilla though. The churros are so delicious. Their hours are pretty good too and one of the few places that takes credit cards. YUM

Yummy, yummy, yummy!!! I am pregnant and due next week. I haven't really had many cravings. The other day though I had a churro and it wasn't really that great. Ever since then I have been craving a good churro. I searched yelp and it led me to the Churro factory. We ordered 2 churrisimos and dare I say I licked my spoon. A churrisimo is a churro drizzled with chocolate, dulce de leche, and powder sugar. Delicious!!! What I liked most is that it was not greasy. You definitely could tell that the churros were fresh. And at $1.95, it definitely cannot be beat.

OMG! Why can't they have one of these in Los Angeles?! This is a MUST try if you haven't already. Had the daily special...the Rompope Churro..GOOD GOD it was delish. Followed it with a Churro Sundae chaser.. Excellent. Also had the cream cheese churro at the Navy Pier location..excellent! All of the churros were fresh and didn't taste like they've been sitting under a heat lamp all day.

Best damn churros you will ever have. They've got a cart of them making FRESH churros at Maxwell St. market. Go have one, it's a $1.25 and you'll never eat a churro from anywhere else again! The dough is hot and moist and crunchy, the filling is pumped into the churro on order. Be sure to visit the churro truck before 2-3pm, they have sold out in the past! :(

Great prices and the churros are awesome. Warm and chewy. Plain is still my favorite.

Went to this place last week (the wife wanted a funnel cake), and small story short - 2 funnel cakes later and the wife and I had some serious stomach problems. We hardly see each other for lunch and dinner so we drew it back to this. No bueno my friends.

No other traditional pastry reminds me of Mexico like the Churro, covered in sugar and or cinnamon Yummy!!!. I believe the best Churros are sold at the flea markets but, definitely this little place comes in 2nd. Unlike the vendors from the flea markets, there is more variety in the Churro fillings (cream cheese, apple or pineapple.) Besides the Churros they also have Crepes, Ice Cream, Smoothies and Coffee to sip down the delightful pastries. Currently, they have a especial going on of five Churros for six dollars.

This was the best churro I have ever tasted! Better than those at Costco, Disneyland, Sea World, or anywhere else! I ordered the chocolate filled churro at the Navy Pier location. It was so fresh, warm, not too crunchy, and the filling wasn't too over-powering...absolutely perfect! If I ever return to Chicago, I will definitely make a stop at the Churro Factory!

Every time I go they have a new batch coming out, they prepare churros in front of you with the filling of your choice. They have additional appetizers which are great too, highly recommend when you're in the mood for a sweet snack. Churros are $1!! and they accept credit cards with purchase over $5

My friend insisted I have some while we were down on Navy Pier (there's a small outdoor booth for the Churro Factory about half way down the pier), even though I'm normally rather meh when it comes to churros. Oh my God, talk about delicious sin in my mouth. The churritos (half sized, drizzled in caramel; chocolate and dulce de leche are options, also) were heaven, I've never tasted such an amazing churro. Perfectly crisp, breaks through into chewy goodness. I wanted more as soon as I was done with my first pack of six.

Although this place has been here for a while, I have only recently discovered it at the Taste of Chicago. I know, I'm late. It's not too often that I'm able to get a fresh churro, so I definitely take advantage of that when I can. I don't usually get my churros filled, because they're so delicious they hold their own, but their filings are good too. They have other stuff as well like fried dough and ice cream, also good. I got two boxes of churros and a vanilla milkshake (of course) and the milkshake was pretty good and perfectly blended. The churros were cinnamon, buttery goodness. There are a few locations, but I go to the Pilsen one because that's the original.

Tried the chocolate, strawberry and cream cheese filled churros. They were all great but my favorite has to be the cream cheese. The funnel cake is also amazing. I dont think you can go wrong at this place, highly recommended.

I love me a good churro! I had the best churros in Mexico and didn't think I'd find a place in the states that had as good of churros as in Oaxaca. While this place still isn't as great as Mexico's churros it is close! I was a bit disappointed that the churros were not made fresh to order, but instead kept in a hot case. I was skeptical, but when I got my churro it definitely was fresh tasting and I quickly approved! You can also get a churro filled with chocolate, strawberry, cream cheese and other fillings. Cheap place to enjoy a good churro! I give it four stars since they are not fried fresh to order.

The only thing that stopped me from giving this place 5 stars was the service. It wasn't bad but...well, let me just explain: to go with my churros, I asked if I could get a vanilla latte (I saw lattes on the menu, but didn't know if they had vanilla syrup). I was told that I could, so that's what I ordered. Well, several minutes later they hand me a frozen concoction (think blended frappuccino). Apparently, they have something on their frozen drink menu (which I didn't look at because I wanted a hot drink - it was FEBRUARY) called a "vanilla latte." When I explained that I thought my order was wrong, the woman just pointed to the frozen drink menu and walked away. You know, Costco has decent churros too (though admittedly, not with those delicious fillings).

My husband and I ordered a dozen churros and tried all the flavors, the vanilla and of course plain ones were my favorite. I would recommend eating them the night you get them or the very next day because it starts to lose its flavor a bit. Overall, its good. Some of the best churros I have eaten.

I absolutely LOVE Churro Factory! My first visit here was on a whim and got a churro sundae. It is amazing, no lie! Went back a second time for another sundae and two churros, both vanilla. Tonight, dessert is vanilla, chocolate, and cream cheese churros. My boyfriend and I can't get enough of them, and best of all, they're cheap! Well, relatively speaking; $4 for four big filled churros is a deal in my book.

yum yum yum. this placewas really really good. i wanted to get the vanilla but they didn't have it so cream cheese was recommended (over strawberry and chocolate). good choice! disclaimer: i'm comparing these churros to those you find at costco. i can't remember the last time i've had a churro before costco brought them back (sorry) i was going to try to go to that abuelos place thatis off of the pink line (damen) but it was closed, as some other reviewers have mentioned :(

Delicious churros in Pilsen. You can watch them make churros in front of you through a little window into the kitchen. Open two hours longer than Don Churro on weekdays. Can't say which one I like more but there are certainly more options at Churro Factory and your churros as usually freshly made.

Aaaaaaamazing. This is a cool little cozy spot tucked away by a walgreens. Do NOT park in walgreen's parking lot. I didn't, I parked on the street. I am determined to never land myself a parking ticket nor get towed in this city. It's not gonna happen Chicago! Back to my point. They also serve crepes, funnel cakes, ice cream, smoothies, milkshakes, hot chocolate (your choice of abuelita or ghirardelli) and coffee drinks. A dessert haven if you will. I had their strawberry lemonade which was fantastic with chunks of strawberries on the bottom. I also got a regular churro, a nutella one, a vanilla and a cream cheese. Also a churrisimo which is filled with dulce de leche and topped with whipped cream. Everything was very good. Prices range from a dollar to 3.35 depending on what kind you get, a dozen churros is 9.99. Fresh, piping hot. It's a one man show so be patient. While we were waiting for our order, a douche in the form of a man pulled up in his pastel blue scooter, came in and showed his extreme annoyance after being told he'd have to wait 3-4 minutes for his order because there is an order ahead of his which was mine. 3-4 minutes is not bad for fresh churros. Sheesh. Mmmm churros. I don't know what I was thinking settling for dunkin donuts the past few weeks. This is some good fried dough. Love it. I know some out of town visitors that would love to come here for a little treat. Screw cupcakes. Churros is where it's at.

The Churro Factory is an adorable little shop in Pilsen. It was a little hard for me to find, but I am sure it was just my ineptitude for street navigation. I ordered only one Churro (trying to watch the calories!). I got the vanilla flavor. For those of you who do not know what a Churro is, here is my attempt at describing it: a licorice-shaped (but larger than licorice), cinnamon sugar-coated pastry (think doughnut) that is filled with custard. See the pictures, folks. It's the Mexican version of the pczki (although the churro could have came first--I'm really not sure). It cost me one greenback plus tax (alternatively, I could have gotten 5 churritos (small churros) for the same price), and oh, was it heavenly. It was served nice and warm, and the woman behind the counter even filled it right then an there. Definitely hit this place up if you're in the area. You won't regret it (although your waistline might!).

Best churros I've tried in Chicago, Don Churro is a close 2nd only because they have dulce de leche (carmel) filled ones. Mimi's doesn't even come close. The churros here were crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside with plenty of filling. If you can't make it down to their storefront in Pilsen, you can find them at the Maxwell St. Market, which isn't on Maxwell Street anymore so it's kinda silly to call it that, on Sundays or they said they have a booth at Navy Pier. They have 6 flavors listed at the Pilsen location but only three in stock, vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. Something to do with the Navy Pier store and lack of filling injectors, too bad, I'd have loved to try an apple flavored one

This is a great place to try freshly made authentic Mexican churros at a great price. You can get a box of 12 churros for $10 (great for dinner parties). The only downside is that service is slow and they sometimes get my order wrong. However, the churros are consistently delicious!

i've walked past this place dozens of time, but tonight, i finally stopped in--right before they closed. they only had a few different flavored churros left; my group had the chocolate, vanilla, and cream cheese varieties for a dollar each. i ordered the churritos, which are 5 mini churros, also for $1. everything we ordered was warm and sweet, with the perfect balance of crispiness and chewiness. all in all, really delicious churros for very cheap. it's a cute little store, so it's highly recommended.

This is a great little place, if a bit out of the way. Try the churro fiesta if you really want to indulge your sweet tooth.
