Typical Chipotle, which is good for me. Having just arrived in town, late with a hungry family, we needed something quick, tasty, and reasonably healthy. Service was fast, portions were generous, especially the large slab of guacamole for my burrito bowl. Restaurant was clean. Great meal after a long day! Everyone left satisfied.

Clean, fast, efficient, and, oh yes, good food! I like the Chipotle at this location a lot, because the staff is really nice and efficient.

Updated visit: Please read my prior review for all the pros/cons. I came back for lunch yesterday and was not disappointed. The steak burrito is as good as ever! Quick service and lunch for about 14 dollars. You can't go wrong with that.

It's a standard Chipotle. I always get a chicken burrito and have to tell them multiple times to scale back on the filling. The chicken to me seems burnt so sometimes I have to pick out chicken as I'm eating (interactive meal?!?). It is a good quick fix to a hungry day.

Nice ppl , they give you good portions depending on the server. Overall they r pretty cool , large interior as well so u feel like you are in a nice restaurant but nope you are just in chipotle. The music is always strange foreign like the hustle n bustle of the street but that's their urban look /feel.

When I'm super hungry, a burrito from Chipotle always gets the job done! Chipotle never disappoints. My favorite is the chicken burrito with extra guacamole. Sometimes the chips can be a little stale, but I still eat it. :)

Chipotle is Chipotle, and this one is not much different than any other Chipotle. The burritos are all delicious, just don't use the online nutrition calculator if you want to remain guilt-free. The only thing I have to say about this location is particular is that the line can get incredibly long during the lunch hour (like to the door long). Try to come before noon or after one for lunch!

  • Mironda R.

This was my first visit to this Chipotle. What I've learned is that while all Chipotles should be made the same they aren't. The people at this location were super friendly and can make a mean margarita! They don't snarf when you ask for extra salsa or this or that, which I appreciate. Yaay Chipotle.

  • Jessica W.

I've never been a big Chipotle fan, but this location serves up the typical food with friendly service. I had a salad with chicken and splurged that extra $1.95 on the guacamole that really just made the dish. The food isn't amazing, but the portions are generous and they move quite quickly through the line.

Chipotle is chipotle and you can never go wrong. Like any other Chipotle, just try to avoid it during the lunch rush.

  • Robin G.

It was the winter to be fair, but all of their food was kinda cold. Other than that, just your standard Chipotle. The people working were efficient and friendly as ever but I wish they'd figure out how to keep everything a bit warmer!

2.5 stars, half the time this place is great and half the time you get a half scoop of beans and rice, it is so incredibly hit or miss, sadly. I keep coming because it is close but it is disappointing that the quantity can be so variable. I will continue coming and if they normalize their process a bit more I will revise my review one way or the other. I am not exaggerating the half scoop, either.

Normally I am very happy with Chipotle, but my most recent experience at the 291E Ontario St. location was below-average. The burrito bowl was pretty much the exact same that it always is at every Chipotle location, but at this place they were completely out of forks. Of course I didn't find this out until after I already had my bowl. I asked the cashier if they had any forks anywhere and she just said "no." Not "sorry, we ran out," or "sorry about that, unfortunately we don't have any right now." Just "no." Gee, thanks. I guess I can eat my bowl with a spoon, but you should at least be apologetic about it!

Love their burritos and soft-shell tacos. Guacamole and chips are awesome too!

  • Chris T.

Ok I used to not be a fan of Chipotle... but I've quickly become a regular and am now addicted. I try to limit myself to once a week, but that guacamole calls to me. They're also great for catering: I ordered 50 burritos from here once and they were a big hit.

  • Jeremy N.

First of all... who doesn't love Chipotle? I won't dwell on the food because the food at every Chipotle tastes the same and this one doesn't have any sort of weird food issues. I really like this location - the staff cranks out burritos quickly and they are really friendly. There almost always seems to be an open table when I'm there, they have plenty of the chipotle tabasco sauces out at all times and the drink/plasticware section is always well stocked. In short, they run a tight ship. Me likey.

  • Vincent J.

It's a Chipotle! If you love it, go here. If you need Chipotle-away for your underwear the day after you eat here, don't go here. This store is in a busy high density area with a huge hospital right next door. If you go here at lunch you will be waiting in line. They do take phone in orders for pickup, try that instead. Seating can be rough at lunch too, but hey, you're not in the suburbs anymore Dorthy. Never had a service or food problem in the numerous times I went here. And I use to work right down the street so I was here a lot.

  • Michelle T.

I'm not reviewing the entire Chipotle chain per se, just the Ontario store. I always get a veggie salad and ask for a TON of ingredients - i.e. extra lettuce, extra pico de gallo, extra black beans - and the staff there have been nothing less than generous with the portions. Even the serving of guac that they dollop on top is more ginormous than that of the other 5+ chipotle stores I've dined at in the Chicago-land area. Service here is A+, the guys behind the counter work hard, are super nice, and the place even has a nice clean bathroom customers can use. Yay!

    (5)
  • Sara K.

Your standard Chipotle. This location is especially busy during the lunch hours--you will have to wait in a line that might very well go out the door. Generally service is fast, and asking for an extra amount of a topping is usually no problem. Be prepared, however, for the proportion of toppings to vary with traffic--e.g. the amount of lettuce or salsa you get may depend on how many people are in line with you and how much of that ingredient they have left. Go at a less crowded time if you can!

  • Christina J.

Whenever I don't feel like cooking rice and beans, homemade pico de gallo, guacamole, and fajita veggies, there's Chipotle! Yes, I can make all of that. With that said, this Chipotle is just like all of the other ones I've been to: consistent, fast, fresh, friendly and accurate. I frequent this location whenever I'm downtown shopping.

  • Ed A.

Chipotle is pretty good but not outstanding by any means. The ingredients seem fresh and the portions are large. The guacamole dip is terrific but the tortilla chips are horrific - seriously man. One thing I've learned from eating here is to eat the food immediately and not wait until you get home. The time it takes to drive home is more than enough time to disintegrate the tortillas like the skin on cadavers that have been weighted down in a lake for years, unfortunate victims of Mafia wars. The restaurant decor is industrial in nature and quite attractive, in my opinion. Clean, bright with large windows facing the street. I would not mind subletting one of these places. I would not "run to the border" to eat here and it is not my favorite Mexican restaurant. But when I'm downtown in the area, it is probably the only option available for Mexican food that is not at a sit-down restaurant. PS Don't eat the tortilla chips.

Everyone knows what Chipotle is and how they do it. No need to have long review. The fact is, I like the food and it tastes good. In the past two years at this location I've had one mediocre burrito bowl. I usually go that route to save calories and I've perfected the low calorie bowl with chicken, black beans, rice, peppers/onions, medium salsa and lettuce. Skip the sour cream, cheese and extra salsas, or do whatever the hell you want. I've been to many locations over the years and I'm always satisfied. I started eating Qdoba in college and hated on Chipotle as they ripped off the way the prepare and offer food. I even preferred the taste but since there have been no Qdobas close to me since very recently I've been on Chipotle ever since and now prefer it. I appreciate the fresh ingredients and the efforts to serve all natural meats and local/organic produce when possible. Not many chain establishments make that commitment and clearly care - unlike places as Whole Foods who do these things purely as money makers and not as an ethos (just look up the CEO of Whole Foods - not a great guy). Just thinking about Chipotle has me thinking of another trip. I usually go once per week and bring my lunch the other 4 days. I went yesterday but now I'm craving it once again! Damn you, Chipotle!

  • Nick L.

Living so close was both a blessing and a curse. Sometimes, you just need a Chipotle to hit the spot and having frequented many all over the Chicagoland area, I chose to post my review here because..... It's Chipotle, most people know the food on offer here. This location never seemed to get overly busy but had enough turnover to keep the food fresh. High speed yummy "Mexican" food. What's not to like?!!

I eat here to much! Bottom line, they are the best solution to any issue..like: Hangover Diet Lunch Per Diem Limit of 10 bucks Guac in a rush Margaritas that are awesome Done.

It is amazing... Take a chicken burrito with white rice, black beans, fajita vegetables, salsa, cheese, sour cream, lettuce and most important Quacamole to finish it off. You will not be disapointed

    (4)
  • Dan K.

Consistently good like any Chipotle, but for some reason they are always out of some ingredient when I get there. It's hard to beat the cost for the quality of food you are getting.

Walked by the place twice looking for it - dinner hour on a Wednesday is QUIET in this neighborhood. Staff were great, served me a burrito bowl sans rice in a jiffy. Tasty, hot, priced right. If you don't see it - it's right next door to the Potbelly sandwich place.

Beware. This location does not honor gift cards. I received a gift card for $25 and checked the balance online. All is good. I attempted to purchase two burritos but they were unable to figure out how to use the gift card as credit. It seemed like it was the first time that they had ever seen a gift card. I was simply told that the card was invalid. I left and took the card of the proprietor, Pedro A. Aguilar, so that I could complain to Chipotle. I checked the balance again online when I got home and it still says it's worth $25. Now I just have to figure out where the gift card is valid. Don't go to this location if you intend to use your brand new gift card.

It's Chipotle - nothing different or new about this restaurant. I like Chipotle. It gets REALLY crowded here during lunch and dinner because of the Northwestern Univ hospital (nearby) and the various hotels (nearby). The only real big complaint I ever heard about this place is that my friend found a huge leaf inside his rice. When he approached the store manager about it, the store manager denied that the leaf is dangerous. But when my friend contacted corporate, they were upset and sent him free burrito gift cards. I've seen Chipotle with better service, in general.

5 Stars...because *I* find this Chipotle to be the BEST in the city...and I'm certain I've been to 90% of the Chipotle's in the Chicagoland area. ;) They're so consistent here, so quick and efficient compared to others in the city and they handle special requests incredibly well... AND that once a month when I decide to have a burrito instead of a bowl... they're the best when it comes to burrito wrapping technique!

We have been to this location twice, both times had terrible service. We were here on 8/31/2012 at 7 pm, it was a Friday. Staff was very rude, portions were small compared to other Chipotles. There was no ice, no sugar, no salt, no lemons, we asked numerous times for salt and sugar for our iced tea and never got it. We left there extremely pissed off for the second time. We have been to numerous Chipotles throughout IL, IN, and FL, and never had such bad service. This location is close to our apt. but I am going to look for another location to go to.

Horrible service! Barely any chicken in my bowl...asked for more and was given 3 cubes. Decided to pay "extra" for full spoon. Will not be back.

Come for lunch, absolutely. YUM. For that, I give two stars. But do NOT place a big order. We ordered lunch for 12 people. Came in in person, the day before, to place the order. Dictated our order to someone, who marked it down on a form. Next day, we come in to pick it up (because they don't deliver) 20 minutes before our lunch meeting was scheduled to start. We learn they hadn't started our order yet, because "another big order just came in unexpectedly." Oh. OK. So, we finally get the food and get back to our meeting 10 minutes late. Pass out the lunches to find that all but 3 are completely wrong. One vegetarian had a lunch full of meat. Three of us that WANTED meat had salads with just lettuce and tomatoes and cheese. In sum: disaster. Don't do it.

Chipotle is always a favorite of mine. When I don't know what to eat, I can always get something quality and tasty at Chipotle. This particular location used to be spot on with service. As of late, the service has been slow, unfriendly, and not goo at getting orders rights. Too bad, I come here a lot.

Chipotle is one of my favorite fast food places; behind Wendy's and Checkers. My stomach comes alive every time I walk through the doors of this place. Also, I like the fact that they have a nutritional calculator online, which I use on the days I want to try and eat somewhat healthy. I am a huge fan of the burrito (with brown rice, black beans, carnitas, sour cream, cheese & fresh tomato salsa). I sometimes like to think that I'm a member of the Trump family (with better hair of course) and get guacamole as well. Just know that with this location it gets SUPER PACKED during lunch time. So if you want to stand in line around with a bunch of med students, nurses, doctors and hospital employees hit this place up between 11:30a.m - 1:00p.m CST. Maybe you'll meet a rich surgeon who will spot you the $1.98 for guacamole.

  • Beatriz Alejandra C.

I love Chipotle, I really do... But this one location is super stingy with their food! They focus more on serving you so fast that they don't notice they're not putting enough food on the plate and do not want to take the time to add a decent spoonful... I'll take my Chipotle cravings elsewhere :/

My friends and I dined at Chipotle on Wednesday July 1st. After we finished our food, we walked to the garbage can near the door to throw our trash away. The trash can was very full and overflowing with trash. We ended up leaving our trash on a nearby table and left. I couldn't believe how unsanitary the dining environment was!

I write this review to compare it to New York. The Chicago branch is definitely BETTER than New York. My food was seasoned so perfectly... and it's cheaper but then again what isn't cheaper than NY? We all know what to expect from Chipotle so no need for a long review... just putting it out there that they get props from what used to be a NY Chipotle lover (still secretly am)! Now I'm a fan of Chicago too and it saddens me that the NY branches don't reflect the taste of the windy city...

By now we all know the name and pronunciation of Chipotle (remember those early commercials?). It is a chain, but in order to give y'all a fuller view of my lunch radius habits, I've got to include it! I'll be honest, I do love the food here. The fact that it's essentially a fast food restaurant and still serves fresh, farm raised, hormone free foods is so astounding it makes me have hope for the suburbs yet. The guac is simply amazing, the cilantro lime rice is fluffy and yummy and the meats are all pretty great for the price and speed. My major complaint with Chipotle is always the same: the portion sizes. UNNECESSARY!! They could give me a third of each ingredient and I'd still walk away feeling satisfied. But the problem is...it tastes so good I turn into a greedy glutton and over eat. Then I go back to work cursing everything and dieing for a recliner and a nap. Note: the guac and chips make a perfect light lunch. Also, a co-worker of mine used to eat the guac with Doritos and it was really yummy.

Others say this is the best in the city. I say this place is best at making me sick... in the city. I've eaten here on two occasions and got sick both times D: I've never had trouble at any other location. Perhaps, I ventured out too close to closing time? I think I'll stick to burrito beach.

    (1)
  • Javier B.

What can I say? I love Chipotle. I think it is the best tasting and probably healthiest fast food place out there. I always go for the burrito bol with rice, black beans, carnitas and tomato salsa, hot red salsa and medium salsa. I just looked on the Chipotle nutrition calculator and this has 13 grams of fat and 515 calories. And, it tastes awesome. Hard to beat for a $6-$7 lunch.

I've always enjoyed Chipotle. My first experience with Chipotle was a couple of years ago in the suburbs. The flavor is just right. I've gone to other places before that are the same type of restaurant that Chipotle is, but there flavorings can't compare. The service is always quick no matter during what time of the day it is, even when there's a long line during lunch time. The tables, chairs and floor is always clean. Also, as more people become conscious of what they eat, they now serve brown rice as well. I've recently gone to Chipotle with my husband at this location. We both ordered a burrito with guacamole. The staff had to re-wrap my burrito because the tortilla broke. When he re-wrapped the food that was in the original tortilla with the new tortilla, I barely got any of the guacamole left inside my burrito. Even though the flavoring was good, I was a little bit upset that most of my guacamole was gone with the old tortilla.

  • Michele S.

I'm a fan of this Chipotle when I go downtown. I love the rice with cilantro and the marinated antibiotic free chicken. If I want a large portion, I go for a burrito, then save the other half for a meal. Otherwise, a burrito bowl will do. The burrito itself is over 1000 calories, but you can cut it down to half that sans rice and cheese.

    (4)
  • Da J.

I have a love-hate relationship with Chipotle. Everything about it is really mediocre: it's not the kind of good Mexican food you can get at a corner tacqueria in california, it's owned by Mc Donald's, you pay $7 for your bland food. But sometimes you just need a burrito.

    (3)
  • Kristin F.

Way tooo busy at lunch plus I caught an old dirty homeless guy trying to sneak my wallet out of my purse while I juggled my chips, dips, and drink... Shameless... He even told me he was sorry after I twisted his wrist... Then he really pisssed me off... He called me ma'am! I alerted the managers after I completely lost my appitite. They couldn't care less. Did you know the burritos are an average of 1400 calories? not worth it in my book! Beware of pickpocketers in this chipotle!

    (1)
  • Matt P.

It's the closest thing I have to Mexican at work. Chipotle isn't great, but it can really hit the spot. I usually only go about once every six months, and having went recently, I found the burrito production pretty slow ... which kinda stinks when you're on a time limit. The burrito was good though.

    (3)
  • Amy S.

The first time I had Chipotle I was in heaven....but that feeling has left me. Ever since I found out that I was consuming like 5000 calories everytime I ate a burrito really makes me question if I want to eat there or not. Occassionally I will have a craving, but that doesn't happen often. I do really like their guacamole though...sometimes ill go there just for that.

i LOVE chipotle. i finally had chipotle for the first time in over a year and i was never more happier with food! my friends didn't understand why i love this place so much but it's a feeling i can't even describe haha. i love their tacos and everything is fresh. i would get their burritos but they're humangous and have enough calories to last me a week. on my last night in chicago, i was so sad as i ate my last taco since i won't be seeing a chipotle for awhile. Thanks a lot Chipotle. When I walked into your store today, my expectations were simple. All I wanted was to acquire a delicious burrito that I would be able to carry home and enjoy. Little did I know that this would prove so difficult. It started well. Worker #1 put rice beans and steak onto my burrito shell. Worker #2 put some salsa, sour cream and guacamole onto there. Things didn't really go sour until I hit worker #3, a slobby looking young woman with a dazed look in her eye. Worker #3 began her attempt to roll the burrito but it was plainly obvious that her oversized fingers were not nearly dexterous enough to complete the task at hand. As she folded the edges of the burrito shell in, I could see that things might get a little sloppy but I was distracted by the cashier and unable to see just how bad things had become (or to get an idea about which end to begin eating my burrito from to minimize the degree to which it would fall apart). I paid and returned to my apartment expecting some difficulty, but what I was greeted with when I opened my brown paper Chipotle bag back at home was a horrifying sight. Guacamole filled the southwest corner of the bag entirely, seeping out from the rigid tinfoil shell in a disgusting looking secretion. Sour cream was smeared over diverse regions of the inside of the bag, and merely removing the burrito without sullying my hand was a daunting task in and of itself. I tore off one end of tinfoil to begin what was to be an arduous consumption process and I could plainly see directly into the cavity of the burrito, rice and beans spilling out like entrails. Needless to say, my hands were a mess by the time i finished, and at least 20% of my burrito was spilled over the plate I was using, despite expert burrito management operation. What is this world coming to when a burrito that costs EIGHT DOLLARS AND THIRTY ONE CENTS is not even consumable? Screw you, Chipotle employees. And screw you Chipotle, for employing them and paying them a trivial sum that fails to even motivate them to complete the preposterously menial task set before them. I understand that it can be tough to keep yourself sane when the cost of a single burrito is more than you are being paid per hour but COME ON. You must roll like seven hundred of these things in a day, I find it impossible to believe that even the slightest amount of effort on your part could fail to produce an acceptable burrito. I hate you Chipotle. Maybe that's why I don't feel bad stealing bottles of Tabasco brand hot sauce from you every time i go...

  • Kida T.

I have a friend that says that I should own shares in Chipotle. I love that place. It's the most food for the least money, and in this economy who wouldn't like that? The burrito's weigh a pound and that couldn't be happier. They've also lowered their prices by about 50 cents which also sweetens the deal. Love it!

    (4)
  • Henry A.

Blah, Chipotle. I LOVE Mexican food, but I really dislike Chipotle. Other than the tacos, everything there is just a flour tortilla wrapped around a bunch of cold beans and lettuce and it just tastes completely bland. On top of that, they charge like $7 for a burrito. Since it's in my neighborhood and since there is no real Taqueria around here, I go in every once in a while and get some tacos. If I had a real Mexican joint around, though, I'd definitely skip Chipotle.

I practically live on Chipotle. This location is great for 2 reasons: 1) Very efficient and 2) The store manager is very easy on the eyes. (insert suggestive pun about his burrito)

Such authentic Mexican cuisine. JK. The burritos are still decent and it's a MUCH better deal than say Su Casa down the street.

  • Jennifer K.

Imagine with me for a moment. A large flour tortilla stuffed with spiced chicken, rice, beans, guacamole, salsa, grilled veggies, and sour cream. Once it's rolled up, it's the size of half of a new born babe. Now THAT's a burrito. And for $5, that's a fine meal. Yeah, sometimes the lines can be a real pain. But if you're hungry for something cheap, this is the place to go. The burrito's not too bad, and for the price you're paying, you're bound to appreciate its massive size.

    (3)
  • Edward R.

This place reminded me of why I don't like chain restaurants. Oversized burritos stuffed with too many fillers - if I wanted a bean and rice burrito I would have ordered it. So much for the hype.

Chipotle is great...it's definitely worth the $5 ish dollars for a burrito. You get tons of food and it's so addictive! I know so many people who absolutely love this place.

It's nice to have a Chipotle within walking distance if you run out of ideas for lunch/dinner. If you get sick of the burritos, the chicken tacos are pretty good also. Watch out for the hot sauce. No joke, it's REALLY hot. You've been warned.

i really don't understand people's love affair with chipotle. the food isn't as life shattering as some of my friends will lead you to believe. i guess you can say you get your money's worth because they do give you a decent amount of food. i give them an extra star though because they donated food to NW when we had a fundraiser to support a local free clinic and I appreciate any place that gives back. i only come here at the suggestion of other people but when i do come i get the carnitas burrito and it's consistently good. so, if you're seeking a burrito the size of a newborn baby that will make you look as if you're carrying a soon to be newborn baby then by all means come on down.

  • Kate K.

I go to this Chipotle during my lunch break a few times a month. If you're going to go there during lunch time, try to avoid it from 12pm - 1pm. That's the busiest time there. The line will be very long, although it does move pretty quickly. The seats can get pretty packed during that time, and you may have trouble finding a place to sit if you are going in a group for 2 or more. Otherwise, this is a great location. I like to sit on the barstools along the window to watch the people walking by on Ontario. And for $7, you can get the best vegitarian taco/burrito's/buritto bowls in the city plus a small drink.

  • Jen S.

no one needs to hear how great chipotle is at this point - i think we all already know. i mean, good food, cheap food, i want the food, i'll eat the food. but i want to specifically applaud this location for consistently having the best service of all the chipotles i've been to in the city. i have a gluten allergy, so i have to ask the person/people waiting on me to change his/her gloves and not touch the flour tortillas. the employees at this location have always been super polite about this and very helpful and careful. it makes such a difference to me, one, to know they're being safe for me, and two, not to get attitude from people when i have a request like that. so HOORAY for this chipotle - tip them big and thank them kindly! :)

Listen, when I go to Chipotle I expect standard mexican fare with good service. The food was good enough, but the service was rude and condecending. Who would have known that a run of the mill place such as this would have such arrogant service. HELLO, YOU MAKE BURRITOS for a living. They need some serious customer service help here.

The plus - the burrito is a full meal, at least it used to be. This used to be one of my favorite fast food places, but recently, they have really cheaped out (McDonalds have anything to do with it??) The burritos are now half sized, and all rice! they maybe have 4-5 small pieces of chicken. The experience has really become disappointing.

A Chipotle is like most chain restaurants. It is hard to write a review that will be substantially different based on food. So when I write these reviews it is mainly about service or the experience because of service. The service here is great. Workers are genuinely friendly and happy to be there. It doesn't take much but people often find it difficult to simply be kind. The people here are courteous and provide service with a smile.

The line to order is usually pretty long but it moves fast. They seem to be really concerned with "portion control" because I have seen them actually take a piece of chicken from the taco I ordered and put it back in the meat tray. Order double meat. It's not that much more expensive and they really pile it on if you are willing to pay for it.

And for $7, you can get the best vegitarian taco/burrito's/buritto bowls in the city plus a small drink.

no one needs to hear how great chipotle is at this point - i think we all already know. i mean, good food, cheap food, i want the food, i'll eat the food. but i want to specifically applaud this location for consistently having the best service of all the chipotles i've been to in the city. i have a gluten allergy, so i have to ask the person/people waiting on me to change his/her gloves and not touch the flour tortillas. the employees at this location have always been super polite about this and very helpful and careful. it makes such a difference to me, one, to know they're being safe for me, and two, not to get attitude from people when i have a request like that. so HOORAY for this chipotle - tip them big and thank them kindly! :)

Listen, when I go to Chipotle I expect standard mexican fare with good service. The food was good enough, but the service was rude and condecending. Who would have known that a run of the mill place such as this would have such arrogant service. HELLO, YOU MAKE BURRITOS for a living. They need some serious customer service help here.

for a "mcdonald's" company, it's pretty good. although, i will still go to my authentic/real mexicans for the "mexican grill".

i really don't understand people's love affair with chipotle. the food isn't as life shattering as some of my friends will lead you to believe. i guess you can say you get your money's worth because they do give you a decent amount of food. i give them an extra star though because they donated food to NW when we had a fundraiser to support a local free clinic and I appreciate any place that gives back. i only come here at the suggestion of other people but when i do come i get the carnitas burrito and it's consistently good. so, if you're seeking a burrito the size of a newborn baby that will make you look as if you're carrying a soon to be newborn baby then by all means come on down.

This was my first visit to this Chipotle. What I've learned is that while all Chipotles should be made the same they aren't. The people at this location were super friendly and can make a mean margarita! They don't snarf when you ask for extra salsa or this or that, which I appreciate. Yaay Chipotle.

Ok I used to not be a fan of Chipotle... but I've quickly become a regular and am now addicted. I try to limit myself to once a week, but that guacamole calls to me. They're also great for catering: I ordered 50 burritos from here once and they were a big hit.

Me likey.

Updated visit: Please read my prior review for all the pros/cons. I came back for lunch yesterday and was not disappointed. The steak burrito is as good as ever! Quick service and lunch for about 14 dollars. You can't go wrong with that.

  • Miranda S.

  • Jay W.

I end up here from time to time. The line has never been that long when I go no matter when it is, and I never have problems finding a table. Even when the line is long they are moving fast. The food is good... I go with the barbacoa (spicy shredded beef) salad in a frail attempt to pretend to be healthy, but my old standard was the burrito. Either way I get extra cheese and my oh so healthy black beans! Food is consistent and fast always. Overall, its YUMMY in MY TUMMY.

  • Da J.

I have a love-hate relationship with Chipotle. Everything about it is really mediocre: it's not the kind of good Mexican food you can get at a corner tacqueria in california, it's owned by Mc Donald's, you pay $7 for your bland food. But sometimes you just need a burrito.

    (3)
  • Matt P.

It's the closest thing I have to Mexican at work. Chipotle isn't great, but it can really hit the spot. I usually only go about once every six months, and having went recently, I found the burrito production pretty slow ... which kinda stinks when you're on a time limit. The burrito was good though.

  • Matt T.

I think I'll stick to burrito beach.

i LOVE chipotle. i finally had chipotle for the first time in over a year and i was never more happier with food! my friends didn't understand why i love this place so much but it's a feeling i can't even describe haha. i love their tacos and everything is fresh. i would get their burritos but they're humangous and have enough calories to last me a week. on my last night in chicago, i was so sad as i ate my last taco since i won't be seeing a chipotle for awhile.

    (1)

I practically live on Chipotle. This location is great for 2 reasons: 1) Very efficient and 2) The store manager is very easy on the eyes. (insert suggestive pun about his burrito)

This place reminded me of why I don't like chain restaurants. Oversized burritos stuffed with too many fillers - if I wanted a bean and rice burrito I would have ordered it. So much for the hype.

    (2)
  • Jennifer K.

Imagine with me for a moment. A large flour tortilla stuffed with spiced chicken, rice, beans, guacamole, salsa, grilled veggies, and sour cream. Once it's rolled up, it's the size of half of a new born babe. Now THAT's a burrito. And for $5, that's a fine meal. Yeah, sometimes the lines can be a real pain. But if you're hungry for something cheap, this is the place to go. The burrito's not too bad, and for the price you're paying, you're bound to appreciate its massive size.

    (3)

It's nice to have a Chipotle within walking distance if you run out of ideas for lunch/dinner. If you get sick of the burritos, the chicken tacos are pretty good also. Watch out for the hot sauce. No joke, it's REALLY hot. You've been warned.

I have a friend that says that I should own shares in Chipotle. I love that place. It's the most food for the least money, and in this economy who wouldn't like that? The burrito's weigh a pound and that couldn't be happier. They've also lowered their prices by about 50 cents which also sweetens the deal. Love it!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
