We originally was going to go next door to Zacatacos, but I told my guy to come give this place a try. Chicago Style Burrito - My guy said it was okay, but it seemed a bit smaller than most other places. Chili Rellanos - It has a bit of kick to them. Horchata - I've had better. Flank Steak with Potatoes in Red Sauce - It was good. Chicken in Mole - It was oka to me, but maybe because I'm not a big fan of mole. Service was good. Would come back to try other items.

As a lifelong South side native, I've always been a huge Zaca fan, but I stopped by Burrito J today and must say it was excellent. The steak burrito was out of this world, so much better than Zaca. On top of the great meal, I was also met with some of the most friendly service I've received anywhere. Lastly, the prices are great and much cheaper than Zaca for better quality food and service. I think I might have found my new fav Mexican spot, definitely will recommend to friends and family; keep up the great work!

Awesome food, awesome prices! Walked in and was offered a few samples from their meat selection. Smoothies are fresh and refreshing. Bought 2 dinner plates, some tacos, some burritos, and a smoothie while waiting for our take out... Under $30!!!!

Everything I've tried is great! Especially Love the Al pastor and Barbacoa tacos. Everyone is nice. A real hidden gem. I also asked for a taco de Pappas which is not on their menu and it's super tasty!!!

Super friendly! They're tucked away a little and can get lost in all the taco places by Pulaski but they some of the best tacos!

I have to start off by saying that this place has a spicy and very freakin' tasty "lava-looking" salsa! Wife and I were going to stop by our usual taco place (Indio) but was closed for the holidays. We actually found Burritos Juarez by accident-its a bit small and hidden. I'm so glad we did though. The chicken soup we ordered was HUGE and so good too. We also shared a breaded chicken torta. The beans n chips appetizer is a plus!!! I gots to tell ya that the salsa and soup is why we shall go back!!

Burritos, burritos burritos. I passed this place a few times and always wondered about their food. I came in and noticed that is is a small place with only a few seats. It is super clean and efficiently organized. I ordered a sincronizada, burrito de deshebrada con papas en salsa verde (shredded meat with potato in green sauce) and burrito de pollo con mole (chicken in mole sauce). The sincronizada was good but needed some tomatoes or avocado (aguacate makes everything better) the pollo con mole was good but the one with shredded meat and the potatoes and the green was delicious. They are burritos prepared northern Mexico style, which means that are way smalled than the gigantic burros people are used, but they are bigger than a taco. They are prepared on flour tortilla. Here they prepare them in good quality store tortilla, not home made, but good. The service is super nice In case you were wondering what a sincronizada is, it is a flour tortilla, melted cheese and ham. Usually with mayo, tomato and avocado depending on the place. BJ good if the hood and must try the deshebrada en salsa verde

I had seen this place and never thought about going in just because zacatacos is across the street from it, so of course the smell always gets me to Go to zacatacos but not today I took a chance and it was the BEST THING EVER... They are not the typical burritos you see in Mexican restaurants( big and sloppy) but very yummy. They are a smaller version but only have bean and the meat of you're Choice simple but very delicious.. I had the mole with chicken and the Desebrada con papas(shredded meat and potatoes) they where delicious... It's a must try

I absolutely love this place. I was referred here by a friend and have been eating here since then. The service is waaaaay better than Zacatacos which is right across the street. The food is made fresh to order and the prices are very reasonable. The burritos are made to order and you can have them almost anyway you'd like. I always get the chorizo w eggs and potatoes. The salsa they make here is also very delicious. As for the service, I've always been greeted when I walk in as well as when I leave. Their service is one of the main reasons I come back to this place. Hands down this is one of the best taco places on Pulaski right now. Definitely give it a chance.

Finally decided to try this place out. Live nearby and pass it up all the time. Have been here at least 5 or 6 times by the time this was written. I have tried the various tacos, flauta dinners, pozole verde and of course the simple burritos. I say simple since they aren't your normal meat and veggie stuffed ones that most places serve but more like the kind made at home. The are always friendly and have a parking reserved for pick up orders.

All things considered that I value in a restaurant, this is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Chicago. Which just might make it my favorite restaurant in Chicago, period. I can't overstate how much I love this place. I'm not a local so I don't make it out here much, but anytime I'm in the Midway Airport area, making a stop is a must. No other place has this effect on me. The pollo en mole burrito blows me away every time. EVERY SINGLE TIME. The tacos are on par with the other taquerias I've eaten at in the West Lawn area (Zacatacos, El Pastor, Valentina), which is no small feat. Tortas are also excellent. Not a huge menu, but everything I've had from it has been solidly above average, especially for the price. The service is the friendliest I've encountered in Chicago. The staff is warm and outgoing. In my experiences, they will carry conversation with you even if you are a an outsider. I attribute this to the family being from Texas (the El Paso-Juarez area), though I'm biased as a Texan myself. New seating area just opened, and the free parking lot is a plus.

First of all the burritos make up for their disappointing horchata! Green salsa carne desebrada burrito so delicious.. Can't wait to try the other burritos!!! I also ordered the torta de Asada and it was delicious. My friend shared his al pastor taco which was real tasty almost as good as El Pastor taco but not quite there yet...I can't wait to try their natural juices.

I visit the El Paso/Juarez area once in a while. While I was there a couple of years ago I was introduced to their version of burritos. These remind me of the ones I used to eat when I was growing up in Mexico. They are long and skinny but nice filled with toppings. The whole family dined in and it wasn't a very expensive meal. I had the burrito de deshebrada (which is meat that is boiled then plied apart). Very tasty and their sauces are great. My wife had their burrito de rajas. And we shared a burrito de mole. The kiddos enjoyed a burrito de frijoles (bean burrito with cheese). To make this a 5 star I would love to see them using asadero cheese otherwise I would go back again. Its a tad far from me but if I am around I will visit. The ladies running the place are very friendly.

The people who work here were so nice when I stopped in that I felt like part of the family. They chatted with me while I waited for my food, and asked me exactly how I wanted my chicken tacos. Once I tried my food I was extremely surprised that the chicken wasn't a soggy mess. They take the time to grill it and that really makes a world of difference. Eating here is just like eating at your family's house. Good food, great prices, and excellent service. The entire place was spotless, and I like that they prepare the food right where you can see them and are happy to make substitutions for you. They recently added a small sitting area so I will definitely be going back.

The closest you will get to authentic burritos. The best burritos I've had outside my mom's kitchen, of course. I'm sure it would help if they had more than one table to sit. They do have a few feet of bar space with stools.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
