I went back here recently and the food and service is amazing! Love the full slab of baby back ribs, gyros, caesar salad, italian beef, and double bbq bacon burger!

This is a gem the food was amazing the people here were very friendly the tiny Asian girl at the register was cut funny, I did not know what to order so I asked about the Philly steak and she practically jumped over the counter with excitement just to say how good it was so I took her lead and ordered it she recommended all the fixings and I was very pleased I think they should let them have their day to suggest meals to customers lol if the food was not great I would come back just because of the friendly faces that greeted me , but the food was Awesome so I give this place 10 big thumbs up

The gal at the register was very professional, on point and super cute... Which never hurts ;). I summarize my stay by saying this: Best. Burger. I have had in YEARS and arguably ever. I cannot say enough. Brilliant.

Their Bacon Cheeseburger is delicious. I've only been here twice and both times picked up the Bacon Cheeseburger. I have to agree with "Ashour R" for the price, I can't justify going back to Lead Belly. Don't get me wrong, I like Lead Belly, but for the price why? The burger is a meal in in itself. Their fries seasoned well and served crispy. Several friends have recommended other food items on their menu, but for me it will be difficult not to order their burgers.

They get a big up for the fresh cut fries and the friendly staff. But the problem with this place is cleanliness. The table I sat at was very sticky. Sticky to the point that it needed to be sanded down and re-sealed. It's why wooden cutting boards are a bad idea. The bacteria gets into the wood and never comes out. Ketchup/catsup squeezer was the same. Sticky. And dirty. An automatic dishwasher is a must, especially when who knows how many customers come in with dirty hands, and then they touch their food, their mouth, etc. Those bottles should be emptied and washed daily. Or better yet, get individual packets. Maybe more money, but more hygienic. As for the food, I had a gyro. It was pretty good, but that's really a matter of not letting the meat dry out. The fries were ok, but burned. I could have gone to Superdawg across the street, but I'm not a fan of their dogs, either.

Great tasting hamburgers and more. I've dined in a couple times in the past many months since last summer. They offer thrifty meal deals and can pair them with different sides (i.e. salad or fries, etc) or drinks (not just soda). I like that their salads come in a handy plastic container. I can add the dressing, shake it up and then enjoy. I also dig that they offer Mekt's cheddar and give an ample amount for a cheddar burger sandwich. Unlike one of their burger competitors from across the forest preserve that cheaps' out with a nil serving. Service is helpful and often offered with a smile. It's worth the bookmark and the visit. My visits have always been "dine-in" and I've been thoroughly satisfied.

After passing this restaurant a few times i finally decided to stop and give it a try. When I went in staff was very nice and patient. I explained it was my first time and the girl at the register was very helpful in helping me decide what to eat. They have a good size menu alotta variety which I like in any restaurant. So i ended up ordering the philly chicken with fries...First off I think they have some of the best fries i've ever tasted. Needless to say my fries i was supposed to eat with philly chicken sandwich never made it home haha. When i got home my philly chicken was also done right and very good...Highly recommend this place to anybody.

I'm so happy that there's finally a business in this spot, bonus that it's a good place to eat! Great burgers, chicken sandwiches, and Italian beef. Hand cut fries. Lunch special gets you fries and a drink for $1 with any burger etc. A great deal!

Placed an order through GrubHub for Blaze-N-Grill last night after getting back to my new apartment WAY too late, and having a sick, hungry boyfriend waiting for me. I was feeling like a steak sandwich, and Blaze-N-Grill had decent reviews. Can't say I was disappointed! We had: 1 ribeye steak sandwich on garlic bread 1 double merkt's cheddar burger with everything 1 cheesy dog with everything 2 orders of cheese fries I will say, the burger was BOMB. When my boyfriend opened it, I immediately had to taste a bite, because it looked way better than my piddly little steak sandwich. And boy, WAS IT. I would definitely order Blaze-N-Grill for burgers again! I'd skip the steak sandwich though. The cheese fries were just okay, I'm pretty sure I asked for the sauce on the side, but it came on top, which makes the fries soggy. I'm sure asking for well done fries would fix that. Also, I figured since they had a Merkt's burger, that they used Merkt's cheese on their fries, but it was just regular nacho cheese. Oh well. Definitely a solid 4 stars. Delivery was fast, the driver was friendly (our buzzer isn't set up yet.) Thanks, Blaze-N-Grill!

Amazing job on fries and burgers. Great service anyone complain is just shady to hit up a business for a free meal. Will bring back my business here always. Tops super dawg any day.

I have stopped her about six times. The food is tasty but just left me sorry I ate there today. First the girl at the counter had a very hard time getting my order straight. She kept getting it wrong because she didn't pay attention. You could see she was distracted. Does she have to whisper everything? Also there is something wrong when the girl taking your order and getting your food had an infected piercing on her cheek with a band aide that looks ready to fall off into your lunch. I asked for a cheese burger with mayo, lettuce and red onion. Came with no onion. She asked how I wanted it done and they brag about how they only cook to order. So should a med/rare burger come out well done? Here it does. When you have table service shouldn't the meals come out close together and not five minutes apart? Also she forgot our drinks. The tables needed to be cleaned and were sticky. The food although not done as asked for was good but the staff need to better focus on their job. This place could be great but they need to loose the girl with the nose ring and two studs in her face. Either that or train her properly.

Placed an order for delivery. Was very excited since this place seemed to have good reviews. Then the order arrived I was so disgusted. First of the kids meal was missing the beverage and small fry. For the regular fries they were loaded with hair. When I called to tell them they told me that next time I order they would give me free fries. There won't be a next time. I have added photos be check before ordering.

I had to go to the DMV today and that means..Bring back lunch! So we asked a co-worker if he knew of someplace different nearby. He highly recommended this place. All of us had burgers with fries. OMG simply amazing!! They grill it your way. I ordered medium rare with grilled onions, no cheese on a tasty bun with fresh cut fries. My co-workers had the Merkts cheeseburger and fries and the Bacon burger. The price was great with the "Lunch Special". When I arrived to pick it up, they were just packing it up. NO pre-cooking here. Hot right off the grill and stayed that way until I arrived at the office. The staff was friendly and helpful. This is now our "Go To" place for burgers. Great Food, Great price and Great People!

Best carry-out burger in town. They ask you how you want your burger cooked and if you want grilled onions - who does that!? Blaze-N-Grill does! LEGIT!

  • Joanna L.

The regular (not the merkts) cheeseburger is delicious. I think what makes the burger so good are the very fresh toppings. Their fries are okay, nothing special. My fiancé thinks they have the best hot dog he has ever had. Definitely recommend the burger. The one thing I didn't like about this place is that the girl Behind the counter had long hair and it was not pulled back at all, just hanging straight down. Back in the day I used to waitress for several establishments and worked in a bakery as well and it was always rule of thumb whenever you work with food hair needs to be pulled back. Very gross. Thank god I didn't find a long blond hair in my food.

Okay so I was disappointed with my first visit but my second one was 10 times better. I offer get a bacon burger with mozzarella stick & it was literally one of the best burgers I ever had! It tasted like a whooper but without the mystery meat guilt. The burger was so big I couldn't finish it in one sitting. (I'm only 120lb) I will definitely become a loyal customer to them now! A special thanks to the manager who helped me chang my mind! :)

Yum. Delicious, fresh food, fast. How's that for a novel concept. The burgers were cooked to order and the fries came out piping hot. Just what the area needed!

Some of the best service ever. I had the ribs with slaw salad and garlic bread. The food is good. Probably 3.75 stars worth. However I had this at 930pm so given the time it's probably 4 star food earlier. The food is flavorful but not too mich sauce. Also they grilled it later which makes it crunchy and tasty

Owner is super nice. The best burger ever again. Juicy thick and I love their onion rings. I've been there four times maybe more because I love a good burger and this is the place

I would love if you would serve a killer streak sandwich, not the crap that(everyone else) serves, but a real thick juicy cut of steak,I haven't tried yours yet but everything I have had is great. Keep up the great job and welcome to the neighborhood.

I came here in late April. I got a bacon cheeseburger with no bun. It was a bit charred, but otherwise okay. When I went home and took a nap I couldn't sleep. I was having severe abdominal pain. Then started the vomiting and diarrhea. It got so bad I went to the hospital. I was admitted, and was there for 36 hours on an IV and meds. The burger was the only thing I had eaten that day. I will NEVER eat here again.

I like this place. Food is good. Portions are big amd the food is fast. Also staff is friendly amd place is clean. Their lunch specials are a great deal. Got a gyros and Merkts cheese fries and a drink for less than $10. Negatives: the register girl did not appear to be remotely interrsted in engaging in sexual intercourse with me. And my table was a little wobbly. I fixed the table with a match book. Your move Blaze-N-Grill. Set the register girl straight

.. so it takes more than two hours & fifteen minutes for Blaze-N-Grill to acknowledge a GrubHub order placed during the standard dinner hour on an ordinary Saturday night.. and the only reason the order WAS acknowledged at two hours & fifteen minutes and counting, was because GrubHub made a phone call to the lacking establishment, to check the status of my order.. .. & that was just after I made a phone call to GrubHub, asking why it takes over two hours for a restaurant no more than ten minutes away from me to deliver an order that should take a successful restaurant no more than twenty minutes to prepare in their kitchen. GrubHub promptly called me back, letting me know that Blaze-N-Grill had not seen the order until GH's phone call, but offered a twenty dollar gift certificate if I still wanted the order to be placed.. as if to speculate that I would even entertain the thought of looking out my living room window for a third hour with my fiance & newborn son, while placing bets in my head on whether or not I'll get a phone call with some other excuse as to why my order still remains somewhere other than at my front doorstep. See, my time is valuable, and I'm sure that applies to the general population of the world.. and with that in mind, I think I speak for the general population of the world, when I say they've gotta be out of their damn minds, if they think a twenty dollar discount on a fifty dollar order in a three hour time bracket is gonna seal the deal and make things better. Twenty dollars, ay? Twenty dollars, to buy me off? That's your solution, for a first-time customer? Listen, I can absolutely understand if an order doesn't get immediately processed because of a busy dinner rush. It happens, everywhere, I totally sympathize. I can see where it could take an extra fifteen minutes to be processed. Maybe a half hour. Forty-five minutes, even. Hell, even an hour, at this point, I get it. .. but over two hours? What if I hadn't called GrubHub to get the status of my order. How much longer would I have waited.. Apparently Blaze-N-Grill's open 'til midnight, on a Saturday night. Would I have gotten a knock at my door at twelve thirty in the morning, by some delivery guy with my order in his left hand and a twenty dollar gift certificate in his right hand, while he practices a verbal apology that truly had nothing to do with him, in the first place? .. well.. needless to say, I asked GrubHub to decline Blaze-N-Grill's amateur attempt at Customer Service 101. While Blaze-N-Grill may very well have a quality menu, I will never know this to be true, as tonight would've been my first order, and after an experience like this, I don't care to give the place another chance at repeating the same sequence of events as tonight's display of how not to operate. Oh, and.. after completing my final phone call with GrubHub, I threw on a jacket, took a seven minute drive to a different restaurant, placed the same order as I did at Blaze-N-Grill, and was back at my front doorstep within thirty minutes. Thirty minutes, ladies & gentlemen.. .. but now, a conclusion: To any restaurant wanting to succeed: If you're gonna partner with a service like GrubHub, be sure you're able to follow through with the process. A bigger online ordering presence means nothing if the online orders sit motionless & unnoticed until someone working at your restaurant suddenly remembers that you do, in fact, partner with an online ordering service. Blaze-N-Grill will never again be a dining choice of mine. I hope this review goes noticed, appreciated and helpful to the consumer, as well as the business. Thank you for your time.

Service - Dined in, service was exceptional... The staff was very welcoming and ready for my order. Their recommendations were priceless and helped to make my lunch decision. I brought my 10yr old cousin with me who had no idea what he wanted, the staff patiently helped him make a decision which made things easier on me. Quality - I had the Burger and for the price was shocked when I got fries with it. The Burger was cooked exactly the way I asked for it, medium well. It was flavored to perfection, I'm a fan of lead belly but for the price and portion I can't justify it after this burger. The fries were crispy and flavorful, it was a great lunch. Overall - The restaurant is very clean, staff is extremely helpful (even the cook interacted with us during our visit), food is excellent (my friend said the gyros is worth trying) and price is affordable, the way burgers should be (sorry Lead Belly)... In all I had a very good first impression.

1st visit- Gyros plate. Great, done right and easily feeds 2 people. 2nd visit- Steak sandwich on garlic bread. VERY good but the sandwich is on the smaller side. 3rd visit- Burger. The Burger is by far the STAR OF THE SHOW! Whenever I do stop by now, its the only thing I order. Its a mouthful (that's what she said). Its soooo good and for the value YOU CAN'T BEAT IT! Its nice to get a burger/fries and a drink for $10 or under. And when I'm done with my meal, I'm on cloud 9! NOBODY IN THE AREA IS MAKING A BETTER BURGER,BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK!!!! Sorry Lead Belly not sure how you can justify $20 for Burger/fries/Milkshake? Phone orders can be a pain. I don't think I have ever called this place and had a smooth phone order.

The place has big portions but the service was not friendly . We had to constantly repeat out order to her as she couldn't grasp simple sentence . Not highly impressed by this place

Now I was really surprised by this place because the corner where it sits has been vacant for a long time. One thing the neighborhood was really lacking was a regular fast food place that was hands down above the rest. I think that Blaze n Grill is it. First off, fresh cut fries, Boom! That's a great start. Their burgers are the real thing. Good size patty, brioche bun, Merkt's cheddar all make this burger better than most of your typical places in the area. They have a large menu and deliver too. Prices are reasonable especially for the quality of the food. People inside are always nice, and my kids like it. This is my new go to place for a quick meal that actually tastes like they took some time to make it.

    (4)
  • Ben W.

Let me start with the best part. The burgers are delicious. You get two stars for that. I will state for the record that this is a burger place with burgers. That is the only reason to try it. You may experience (as I have): Poor service. Order a coke and not get one or worse they are out of Coke syrup, on a Friday night, at 8pm. Their Coke rep would not put up with that. Long wait time. I love burgers. I love fresh made burgers. 15 to 20 minutes is grill management, not patience for each made fresh. Pricey. 12 bucks for a double cheese and fries. I've been four times over the past four months. I will try it again and check. Not hopeful as there are other burger options not too far.

At no piont did I ever think this little stand-alone would be an outstanding all-round go-to lunch and/or dinner stop. I passed by it many times heading home from Lincolnwood to Elmhurst . i am like "ok, ill try it for shits and giggles"...but what a great decision to stop! Start with the outstanding service. My experience was looking at a couple "perty" girls serving a beef sandwich or a burger...but they were so much more. This place is filled with great personality and awesome food. It reminds me of Brooster's in Lombard. How do they get such quality chicken and beef at such great value and wonderful flavor. If you're riding down Milwaukee (or anywhere close), make it point to enjoy the fine food. I'd go as far to say, if you are not looking to just try Superdawg across the street, hit Blaze-n-grill first because the food is far superior than that goofy "dog on a stick". DO NOT pass the chance for a great meal at Blaze-n-grill, regardless of the superdawg legend, because you will passed by a great belly filling opportunity!

1st time here about 1 week ago. Lunch , price ok. Good burger with fries. Workers unattentive and long wait for food. Meal ok. Today stopped in had a taste for breakfast, huge breakfast menu. Sorry no longer serve only on weekends. Half of menu is breakfast! Really... Oh well trying a different sandwich.Ordered breaded steak sandwich with fries & drink. Better service with taking order, speed of food served and taste was good. Good size sandwich for price. Reason for 3 stars is first experience and had a taste for highly advertised extensive breakfast menu. I'll try again and might rate higher. Good place, location not convenient with small parking lot. If in the area worth a shot...

Stopped in here with my dad and sister when we found ourselves in the area needing a quick lunch. At places like this, I always like to try a gyro, and they tend to be very hit-or-miss. I was reassured by the visible spit here (no pre-pressed gyro meat patties!), and while I'd consider the gyro a hit, it still wasn't perfect. The pita was good, but it started falling apart halfway through the gyro, and the cucumber sauce (I'll never learn to spell it's actual name) wasn't thick enough for my liking. There was an absurd amount of meat on it, however. I had to take off quite a bit just to be able to pick it up. My dad and sister tried the Italian beef and burger. Italian beef was good, but not the best out there, but I thought the burger was really good. Not that it's a fancy gourmet burger by any means, but for a place like this, it's exactly what it's supposed to be. We also shared an order of cheese fries. The fries were decent, and they were covered with the most cheese I've ever seen on an order of cheese fries. Usually when fries are served with the cheese on top, only the top layer of fries get cheese, and the bottom fries are sad and cheese-less. Not the case here - there seemed to be layers of cheese between the layers of fries. Overall, service was prompt, food was good, and while prices were a little higher than I'd like, the portions were quite large. I do think my favorite little gyro place in the BG/Wheeling area is better, but I'd be happy to stop here again.

I must say that the quality of the food is excellent from the huge juicy tasty merks bacon cheddar burgers. To thier superb gigantic gyros,to thier suckulent ribs oh my god. Thier merks cheddar cheese fries. Great shakes and killer crispy fries. Great atmosphere, great prices.food made to order. I will be letting people know about this spot. Keep up the good work guys nice job see you soon

This place should be a 5. Burgers alone are a 5 in my opinion. Great tasting. Get the provolone option. The cheddar plain sucks. Its like cheez whiz dumped on a burger. Does not do the meat and bun justice. Parking lot is decent. Friend had a suv and he had a tough time getting out. He sucks at driving in general so just disregard that. Service is decent. Ill wait a little longer for my food, no problem with that. Co worker had to wait for about 25 min for a philly and fries. Thats unacceptable. Granted, it was busy and they had a big lunch order. Prices are decent and you get good portions.

Not a good first impression at all. For many years, this was a vacant storefront on the corner of Milwaukee & Devon. After it got rehabbed and sported new awnings, I was hopeful of the new restaurant. Wrong! They opened for business this week on Tuesday. I came on Friday around 6 pm and the place was uncomfortably hot inside since the AC broke down. Not only that but it was a long wait. We waited about 40 minutes for our food. For an upscale-looking, semi-fast food joint, that is a serious problem. One thing I immediately noticed is the mass confusion of orders. We were #24. There was a #10 in a bag sitting on the counter the duration of our visit. Meanwhile, an employee was walking around asking who ordered #14. Nobody came forward. Then there was the search for who ordered #17. Meanwhile, people kept coming in and the confusion of orders continued. So 30 minutes into our wait, we took our drinks and the employees asked what number we had. At that point there was no line but they weren't exactly banging out the orders either. And the constant "here or to go?" questions, even after people said it when they ordered. Turns out, the guys cooking the food forgot to clear some orders filled and were doing them all over again, with nobody there to claim orders already picked up. So 40 minutes later, we got our grilled chicken breast, Maxwell Polish, onion rings and fresh-cut fries. OK, the chicken was juicy and tasty, not dry at all. Fries were excellent, even if on the soggy side. There was a side salad with my platter and it was a mix of assorted greens, not the usual iceberg lettuce, so I liked that. Broken air conditioning aside, the food quality was passable and good. Service was atrocious. I should also mention the parking lot is tiny and cramped, where vehicles have very little room to maneuver getting in or out. I foresee fender benders in the tiny lot. With Superdawg in plain sight less than a block away and The Garage Bar maybe 2 blocks down Milwaukee, this place better get its act together or it will get hammered by those 2 establishments. Guess where I'll be going next time.

"Just had the best burger of my life!!! Cheese... Bacon.... Grilled onions, tons of them... I'm in a food coma right now ahhh....." I think about this delicious burger all the time! And the fries....deliciously seasoned. I can't wait for my next visit! YUMMY!

I like this place a lot. No bells or whistles, but what they do they do well! They're open late, which is awesome. The fries are always really great! I typically get a philly cheese steak or a burger, and they're both good. The baklava is also really good, if you get there before they run out!

This place is super convenient for all of us that are avid cyclist out there and don't really want to spend $7 on a hot dog that another venue across the street sells. I had their hot dog here and it was good. It was $2.17(i think) without fries. Not bad. They offered a pickle and hot peppers on it. I went here the other night and ordered a beef sandwich. They gave me a choice of french bread or garlic bread. I stuck with the french bread but the server was really trying to convince me to give it a try. It was different. It was good. Definitely worth a try but I am a classic girl and like the french baguette.

First off, I must say the service at this place was exceptionally friendly. I feel bad writing a bad review because the phone and delivery service people were very nice. I ordered a burger and a salad from this place. The burger was inedible. I ordered it medium, and got it burnt to hell--a little meat hockey puck. It also had this strange flavor that I can't describe, as if the burger retained the taste of something that had been grilled right before it. The cheese was akin to nacho cheese and unevenly spread at that. I liked that they used romaine instead of iceberg lettuce, but that was the only good part of the burger. I would recommend avoiding the burgers at this place, unless you like your buns injected with disappointment. Some people are into that, so to each his own. The salad was supposed to come with garlic bread, didn't get it. Can't say the salad was bad, but how can you really f*** up a salad? Other people I was with ordered gyros and said they were "eh." If you want good Chicago gyros on the NW side go to Nick's. Overall I was sad because I was hungry and could't get past the first few bites (no worries, it didn't go to waste because my dad will eat a shoe if you dress it up nice, though he agreed it was funky). I feel like I wasted my money on something subpar. I would also like to add that their breakfast menu should be all day because who doesn't love breakfast for dinner?

Well, Yelp. It's happened. Blaze-N-Grill has disappointed me. Let me open with this: I have always been a passionate Blaze-N-Grill customer. I adored the business from beginning until ... well, now. I loved what the owner was doing: he offered fast food to Norwood Park, at a reasonable price, and from good qualities ingredients. He's always been a generous man whose number one concern was always the customer. I'm not sure what's happened but that seems to have changed. I ordered from there last night for delivery. I called the restaurant three times and was ignored all three times. As I mentioned, I love this place's food and the small-business aspect as well, so I tried again on Grub Hub. After placing my order through Grub Hub (which doesn't have an updated menu, by the way), I was informed by the website that my order would take an hour to be delivered. An hour! I live literally 5 minutes away! When my food arrived (a little earlier than anticipated), it was fresh and delicious, and they followed all my requests, however, I was disappointed to see that they changed the size of their small fry. It's now the same price but for half of what you use to get. Really, Nasim? Please don't sell out on me here! I'd love to give them more stars, but I'm going to give Blaze-N-Grill 3 stars because their food is great and in my experience, they've always been a friendly business to deal with. This experience concerns and disappoints me, however. I want to make it clear that I won't stop coming here. I'm a loyal customer. Like I said, just a little disappointed ... I ordered a philly on french bread with provolone cheese, fries, a cheesecake milkshake, and a chocolate milkshake.

I'm all about waiting the extra time for a fresh not frozen burger and fries but Blaze n grill has taken the wait time a lil far. Ordered from here twice before via good ol grub hub and although Blaze n grill are only 1.2 miles away, it took over an hour for our food to make it to my door both times. When I call and ask, they say it'll be 10 mins..I asked the delivery boy if he was slammed with orders or something, he replies that mine was the only order he had.Hmmm, ooook. Oddly enough the food was prepared well and the food was delicious! I decided to go directly to the location today to see if the wait time would be the same... sadly it was. The food, again, very good but waiting what felt like 35 mins for a burger combo is not acceptable!! The staff is friendly and attentive but a training at time management would be highly recommended.

I guess my advice for take-out would be to check your food before leaving. I ordered cheese dog with EVERYTHING & got just the dog & cheese. Hot dog was good, bun was fresh & warm - could have been so much better. Just disappointed in the service.

The cheese fries are insanely good. I'm unsure of what the person complaining about them ate, but these were some of the best cheese fries I have ever had. I consider myself a connoisseur of cheese fries, so I know my stuff. I know my stuff REAL well. In addition to being a connoisseur of cheese fries, I also consider myself a gyrossier (that is, a kind of sommelier for gyros.) Their gyros, unfortunately, weren't so great... which was kind of a bummer. I mean... I ate it, but there was a little bit of sadness as I finished my sandwich. The tzatziki sauce is tasty, however. My husband had the italian beef, which he enjoyed. They give you the option of having the beef on garlic bread, which is a nice touch!

Best damn burgers in town. No question. Fresh cut fries. Great steaks. Great salad (don't judge me). Gonna come back for breakfast !! There is a bit of a wait, especially at peak eating times, but this place is so damned worth it. Very reasonable prices... And did I mention the burgers ????? Forget Superdawg across the street. It's for posers who like overpaying for crap. Come here - you'll be glad you did !! Small parking lot - which is ideal for around here - but I does fill up quick

I'm glad I stopped by this place! The gyros was one of the best I've had in all of Chicago, and that includes Greektown. It's a bit pricier for the gyros than your avg place, but well worth it. The food does take a while to prepare... 15-20 minutes, but it comes out very fresh and delicious. My wife had the hamburger, and she was very happy with it. Very good quality meat, and cooked to order. I'll definitely be back!

I've eaten here a handful of times, but today takes the cake for awesomeness! It's a super snowy day in Chicago. Poor planning on my part leaves me foodless and carless. Not only are the guys at Blaze delivering, they do it fast and the food is still hot! The burgers here are great! I get bacon burgers and let me tell you, -so- much bacon! 5 stars 10/10 this place is awesome!

Super slow service. Finally get food and bread is soggy because of all the blood coming out of my burger. Asked them to replace it with a new one because I wanted it well done. I was told no by a rude girl named Alexandria. Needless to say I had to throw it away from all the blood. Have left owner many messages and no returned call. Website doesn't have a working email.

My Bacon Cheddar Burger was awesome! My dad said "this is the best burger I've ever had! I'm not even done with it and I'm craving another." Too bad we live in michigan. :( Once a year, we are definitely coming back!

First time ordering from here. Ordered delivery only to learn that there was a $15 minimum, but thats understandable. Prices here are very reasonable for the quality of food. Burger was cooked perfect however wasn't to crazy about the merkts cheddar compared to other locations in the city. Fries were great and hotdog was good as well. Other then the cheese sauce, the food was good and would recommend to a friend. Would eat here again.

With superdawg across the street, this place has some serious competition within throwing distance. The burger is FANTASTIC. If I had a choice to go to superdawg or blaze-n-grill for a burger, I would chose the latter.

Visited this place because of the 4 Star reviews. I do no think this place deserves 2 stars even! The floor was sticky and dirty, so was the table. It was very humid inside. Outside was even cooler and to think it was in the 80's. I agree the prices are reasonable, but the food is lacking the needed add-ons like onions, tomatoes and dressing!!! 1 very thin tomato sliced into 2 for a huge double meat gyro sandwich...could hardly even see and taste the dressing that goes with it. Fries are old, cooked and soaked in 1 day old grease. Milkshakes are watered down. Order takers/cashiers were not friendly...never smiled. Even my boys will not go back to this place. P.S. one of the window canopy has a huge wasp nest with maybe 5 wasps flying around it.

I had their grilled chicken breast sandwich on pita bread and it actually pretty tasty. I work nearby and usually went to Brandys but after trying some the menu items here I probably won't go back to Brandys. The wait time might seem long but hey if they are making fresh fries and a fresh meal for me the extra 4-5 minutes are no big deal! Very satisfied and staff is attentive. The manager even works and cooks too, which is cool, shows he cares about his business.

Cheese Fries were awesome! A must try. The hot dogs and polish were above average for a Chicago greasy spoon joint. Next time I might just order cheese fries and a shake.

For a fast food establishment that has been open less than two weeks, the Blaze-N-Grill does nearly everything right. Mostly exceptional food, friendly and efficient service, and a spotless dining area. The selection is broad enough that you will almost certainly find something you want to eat on their menu without it being so huge that it takes you ten minutes to decide (plus, places with overly large menus tend not to do everything well, usually it's the hot dogs that suffer the most). My girlfriend and I went there this past Monday. She had the steak sandwich on garlic bread and I had the bacon cheddar burger. We split an order of onion rings, and we had soft drinks because they still didn't have shakes available (but the girl behind the counter comp'd our drinks as a good-will gesture). The steak sandwich and the burger were both amazing! The garlic bread was a perfect accent to the steak, and the burger was served on a hearty, buttery bun. Both were cooked to perfection, neither were dry, and the meats were so fresh you could actually taste the difference. The onion rings... were rather generic. I'll not be ordering them again, unless they change them. That was the only downside to the meal, hence the 4 stars. I went again last night and had a gyros (with everything) and fries, and again I had a Coke. I forgot to ask if they had shakes yet, I'll have to remember next time. The gyros was tasty and again, cooked to perfection (not dry and overdone). It was heaped so high on the pita that I had to use a fork to eat off the top layer so I could pick the sandwich up to eat it. I wish they had put more sauce on it, next time I'll just ask for extra sauce. The tomato was generic, but how many fast food places have fresh tomatoes? The onion was fresh and had a nice bite to it. The fries were a little underdone and lacked flavor (I'm not sure they were even salted, but there's salt and pepper shakers at every table). Between the onion rings and fries, I'm at a loss for a good side dish. They have chili and soup of the day, I'll probably try those next time. I'm not sure why they're billed as being in Norwood Park, the neighborhood is actually Gladstone Park, and being on that funky corner I was a little concerned that people would pass them by because it's hard to make a left turn into their parking lot from either Milwaukee or Devon. Luckily I live across the street so I just walk there. All in all, they beat the pants off anyone else within walking distance, and they've been open like maybe two weeks. I'll probably be a regular in no time!

This business just opened a couple of days ago. I went this evening to get dinner. It was a little slow, but I attribute that to them just opening. Onto the food: I had the Merkts Cheddar Burger combo. The burger was good. It was cooked just right and juicy. The bun had a nice buttery flavor. The toppings were fresh and the grilled onions were cooked just right. I think it could have used just a little more cheddar, I didn't notice it until getting deeper into the burger. I really liked the fresh cut fries. They had nice flavor and were cooked just right. The people were friendly and I gave them a little slack for the slow service due to be brand new. I will be returning!

Homemade burger with a big hole in the middle .....really??? And all u can taste is the pepper for the love of god it sucks! The people at front have no skills what so ever I had to repeat 3 times that I only wanted mustard and pickle on my burger and I kept getting asked if I wanted grilled onions what??? Sorry but one star for the effort!

Shortly after posting my review, the owner reached out to me with an offer of a 10$ gift certificate to try blaze n grill again as a result of my bad experience on our first visit. I certainly will do that, and give a lot of credit for their commitment to customer service. I guess we will be going back after all.

The first time we came, my husband and I got two Italian beefs to go. They were so chewy that I became disgusted and threw mine out. Wanting to give a local business a second chance, we came back again for to-go. I was completely shocked when I looked in my bun for what should have been a Polish sausage. It was a cracked withered wrinkled dry thing that I (of course) refused to even eat. I am done with this place.

I definitely need to update my opinion on this place. My husband and I decided to try for delivery. After all we had a great experience last week so why not try again for delivery. When I first called the guy asked if I could hold for a minute. Of course I can hold. 7 minutes went by and still no one came back to the phone. The funny thing is that I wasn't even put on hold. The guy just put the phone down and completely forgot about me. I decided to hang up and try calling back, but it was a busy signal. So I gave it a couple minutes and tried calling again, but it was still busy. I would've been on hold this whole time!!! Needless to say we ended up ordering from somewhere else and taking our business elsewhere. Definitely left a bad impression on us.

Every new place has kinks to get over. This is the best fresh fast food joint around. I loved it. Big fresh salads with GOOD lettuce, hamburgers that are huge, friendly staff and good french fries. It' s a great neighborhood place right across from Super Dog AND cheaper and better. Let's help this place survive and prosper!!! It's a family owned business and I for one plan on making this my go to place for a quick lunch or dinner. Good job guys!

!I went in there a week ago and ordered 2 Hot Dogs and a Cheese Fry to go. When I got to my eating spot I noticed I was missing a Hot Dog. The food was really Good....Merkts Cheese fries are amazing. Hot Dog was a great size. So I went back yesterday and brought my receipt and mentioned they forgot to give me a Hot Dog Last time. The guy who I am assuming was the owner apologized more than once. Then proceeded to more than make up for the missed Hot Dog. Great Food great Customer Service...Welcome to the Neighborhood!!

Just took my second trip to Blaze N Grill and again was very happy with my experience. Last time I had the beef sausage combo which was tasty but today I decided on a cheeseburger. By far and away one of the best burgers I have ever had. Worlds better than a $14 burger from higher end restaurants. This is not some frozen patty of low quality meat, I swear they must grind up a decent cut of steak or something. The fries are fantastic too. They are of the fresh cut variety and taste like they are cooked in peanut oil. I am very anxious to try their steaks next.

My husband and I stopped by to this newly opened restaurant for lunch on Saturday. They just opened on Tuesday and couldn't wait to check it out. First we loved the remodeling that has been done. Place looks great. The staff was very friendly and really helped me make a decision on what I wanted to eat. I can be pretty indecisive so having someone helping me out with suggestions was a plus. I ordered the Cheddar Bacon Burger(for starters), the fresh cut fries, and my husband had the Philly Cheese Steak. We got our order pretty quickly and were both very impression. My burger was very juicy and perfectly cheesy! The lettuce and tomatoes were very fresh. The bun had a nice toasty butter flavor that typical burger buns don't have. I was really able to taste the freshness and quality of the meat used. My husband was very impressed with his Philly. He is big on Philly Cheese-steaks and has been disappointed in the past. He will definitely be returning again. We also placed an order for the Gyros plate and and other Cheddar burger to go. Nothing was missing in our order and burger was cooked like we asked. I would definitely recommend trying Blaze n Grill. Just wish I still worked and lived in Norwood Park cause I would be there much more often. Oh yea! The fries-loved the fires! They use a special seasoning to make them better than the average fries.

terrible.the first time i ordered here i got a steak sandwich the thing was ice cold.i tried again and got a burger, slightly better but a little soggy.today i tried to order again, they put me on hold for almost 10 minutes and never got back to me,all i could hear was them joking around behind the counter.when i drove past there on my way to get food elsewhere there was only 1 car in the lot and very few customers inside.they need to work on everything at this place. 6/15 update:they seem to have improved.the service is much better now and the beefs are very good.

I was very excited about this opening on my way home from work....I stopped by at 5:30 today (Friday), the parking lot was empty and when I first walked in, only one other customer was waiting for her food. I had a pleasant conversation with the owner about possibly adding a children menu, and I was looking forward to my dinner. My son ordered a cheeseburger, I ordered a double cheeseburger and my wife ordered a gyros plate. Although the place was empty after my order was ready *20 minutes) the man I had just had a conversation with took my order and gave it to another table, who would have left with the wrong order if I hadn't spoken up. When I bite into the burger, it was raw on the inside. My son's burger was fully cooked however the tomato had a weird taste to it. My wife's gyros looked appealing but she like the rest of us have spent most of the rest of our evening in the bathroom......I never write reviews on yelp, but felt like I needed to worn others

The food is decent. Unfortunately every time I go there the service is less than decent. The girl at the desk taking orders literally just doesn't care to listen to the customer when they are placing an order. I ordered a wrap and was given a crunchy burnt tortilla which was unfortunate because the contents of the wrap were good. The second time I ordered a wrap I waited ten minutes for my order to be complete and was then told they had run out of wraps. The cashier like I said doesn't listen to you when you order so you'll most likely get something you didn't want she also doesn't look very happy to see anyone walk through the door which is a turn off. I work in retail and yes you can't always put on that fake smile every time someone comes up to you but there's no need for a customer to get the once over look of disgust from the cashier either. I give this 3 stars because the food is good enough for what it is and has potential to be better but the service sucks and this place probably won't last more than 2 more years at most especially with superdawg so close.

I live about 4 blocks away from this place and we like it a lot, so we pick up food here every couple of weeks. We especially like the Merkts Cheddar Burger (the cheese is so thick, it's like frosting), Philly cheesesteak, and chili. The prices are reasonable (e.g., $5.49 for the Merkts cheddar burger) and the staff is really nice. You do have to wait for fries, because they cook them to order, so be prepared for a bit of a wait.

Steakhouse-quality ribeye at a corner fast-food joint? YES!!!! We had the ribeye and cheeseburgers, all cooked to order, and exactly as we love them! FRESH! FRESH! FRESH! Good, manageable menu selection - nothing pretentious - sticking to what they do best, and doing it right, and competitively priced. No baked potatoes, but they're adding them to the menu soon. Glad to see something worthwhile on this corner, Blaze-N-Grill was waaaay better than I could have hoped for! Although the interior is showing a little wear and tear where the booths bump the walls, it's no biggie, and is being addressed. Prompt, friendly counter service, but they still brought our food to the table for us, which was a nice surprise - but since we were there before the dinner rush, they had the luxury of time to take great care of us. We felt very comfortable, even with the kids along. Lastly, It's nice to finally have a delicious choice and be able to support local small businesses, and not some big corporate chain. What a welcome addition! We'll be back to Blaze-N-Grill regularly - and think it is definitely worth trying!

Consistently really good food at a very good price. I've only ordered carry out and delivery. Every time - every time, the food is good. I typically order burger, hot dogs, and fries. Fries are very good. The owner is fantastic and cares about his business. Delivery is fast! If I'm going to get this kind of food, Blaze-N-Grill is getting my business.

I just hate when a new restaurant opens up and they spend so much money on making the place look nice but the food and service suck ! If you are going to have the name Blaze N Grill don't you think you should be grilling the food you serve? My Husband and I stopped in there on Sunday afternoon and they were not busy maybe another couple or two were in the restaurant. The 1st thing we said to the boy behind the register was this is our 1st time here...given that you would think he would go over the menu and suggest something, but he didn't. So we looked at the menu and both decided to order the Maxwell St Polish one with fries and one with onion rings and drinks. So when our order was up the boy brought our order over, 1st he walked over the Polish then he came back the second time with our fries/onion rings then the 3rd trip he brought our drinks...Don't you have trays so you can bring everything in one trip??? The polish looked like it was boiled had NO FLAVOR, the so called grilled onions just seemed to be steamed or something. The Fries were soggy and you could tell the onion rings were frozen, for $2.99 you would think they would be homemade, I could buy a whole bag of frozen onion rings at the store for that price! If you want to stay in business You Better Step Up Your Game! If you don't know how to make a Hot Dog or Polish then take it off your menu and leave it to Super Dawg!

I came & ordered my lunch to go. I had a BBQ chicken sandwich on garlic bread. The sandwich was delicious & was a good portion especially for being $6. I also got fries & a drink. The fries were good but nothing special in my eyes. Service was good & friendly. Brought my food & drink out to where I was waiting. The wait only took 10 minutes as well. Overall, I was very satisfied.

I saw the awesome reviews for this restaurant. I drive past this location everyday, I finally decided to stop in. I ordered the bacon, cheese burger, waitress asked if I wanted the double. I thought about it, in retrospect I could not have handled the double burger. I substituted blue cheese instead of american or cheddar. The ladies behind the counter were very enthusiastic. When the waitress brought out the burger, I was surprised at how large a single bacon cheese burger was and a pile of fries to boot. It really was an 8 ounce mountain of meat, with piles of carmelized onions and the blue cheese dripping off the sides. I did ask the waitress to put garlic spread on the bun. When I ask some fast food restaurants to put garlic, garlic salt, any kind of garlic they all say we don't carry that. How does a hamburger joint not have garlic. Anyone this burger was a true monster and the combo price for $9! I was in heaven. I will be back, book it.

They're a little unorganized, but, haven't had a bad thing there yet! I've had the Gyro the first week, very tasty, I've had the Philly steak twice, also very tasty, had a Merkt's cheddar burger & it is by far one of the best burgers I've ever eaten, & today, Italian beef w/onion rings, very good beef & the rings were nice & crispy, not greasy. They really need to stay open later tho.

Went in for a burger on a Sunday at 11:25 AM. They were still offering breakfast so that could explain why it took so long (over 20 minutes) to get my order. They only had one cook at the grill and he was all over - the grill, the freezer, etc. Poor guy was really overworked. I ordered a burger combo and Jessica said "do you want everything on that?" I asked what "everything" was and she rattled off a list of condiments so fast that I ended up getting my burger plain. They should have a list of condiments posted. While I was waiting for my food they told a prior customer that they did not have any of the ingredients to make their Hawaiian plate. They guy responded "you could have told us that 1/2 hour ago instead of making us wait so long." They got their refund and left. Finally got my order (glad they have a TV to watch while you are waiting). The burger and fries were just OK - not worth all the hype. And I think $8.18 for a single cheeseburger, fries and a regular soda is a bit much. Parking lot is super small. Will I go back - maybe.
