So many better pizzerias in the neighborhood. The staff was cool and the food itself was made right, but the quality........ G.D.! WTF HAPPENED?. Got a beef one day and it tasted very Arby's-esque; like it came out of one of those frozen tubs at the grocery store like papa charlies or something. SMH . If that's the case then, at the very least, spend the extra couple two three bucks and get the Vienna tub. The cheese they use on their pizza is that cheap hard plastic-like stuff that changes colors as soon as it starts to cool and completely slides off your piece with the first bite. I mean if you're throwing a kids b day party or something like that then maybe its worth it since they are really cheap, but dayum! I'll spend the extra few bucks and get some real food.

I love there Chicago Style Thin Crust Pizza. It's so delicious and inexpensive for a large and extra large pizza. The staff and manager are really nice. I haven't aren't at the restaurant but every time I go it look like a decent place to eat in. You get a free drink when you purchase a large or any other larger pizza.

Simply the best deep dish pizza. They use the freshest ingredients - and it shows..

This was the worst pizza experience I've ever had. I ordered my pizza at 8pm at 9pm I called to check on my order and they told me another 30 minutes. I was a little shocked but said ok since it was Saturday night. I called again at 9:30 and they told me another 15 minutes. The pizza finally showed up at 10pm after waiting for 2 hours. I thought they might have done something for us due to the wait, like a discount or a free soda...but nothing. Not only did it take forever but they messed up the pizza. I understand that pizza joints get busy but they could have told me that when I ordered. I'll never order from this place again.

Bellona's Pizza = BEST PIZZA EVER! I order on a regular basis, weekly, and always had quality food. Pizza tastes great, both thin crust and stuff pizza. I have been in the neighborhood for 5 years now, and have been ordering since then and will definately continue to order from Bellona's. As they say on there menu, One Taste and You'll be back!

  • RICH R.

I ordered pizza for delivery and ordered fries with my pizza. The fries arrived hard , stale and old. The pizza was good. Average. But my wife said not good enough to order again. It had good flavor but not enough to tell your mom about it. To me the best pizza is villa Palermo off of Devon and Damen. To bad we moved. 2.5 Stars if you could rate.

  • Tracy K.

This was the greasiest pizza I've ever eaten. Not necessarily a bad thing, but not exactly good either. When I told the guy behind the counter that I was literally in the process of moving into the neighborhood, he told me to take a 2L bottle of soda, compliments of the house. I thought this was super cool until I saw the menu and anyone who orders a large one topping gets free soda. Either way though, I'm a winner. They have a few tables inside their shop, but it looks like the majority of their business is delivery or take out. They're right down the street from me, so I'm sure I'll be ordering again from them, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get their greasy pies.

I love Bellona's stuffed pizza, thats the only thing i usually get. Everything on their menu is almost identical to Giordano's but pizzas are like $5 cheaper and it actually is comparable to Giordano's in taste. Pan is decent but thin crust isn't that great. It's a great neighborhood spot.

Not a bad place, Kinda mom & pop but I just had there pizza & it's was really good I say check it out.

  • Bryan S.

Meh. In a city that has tons of pizza places, this one is just OK. The food came when they said it would, we got a free 2 liter with our order, the mozzarella sticks were delicious, and the pizza was just OK. We ordered garlic and tomatoes and they went a little too heavy on the garlic. I've got nothing against these guys. I just didn't think the pizza was that tasty.

  • Beth W.

This place makes a good pizza. I've only ordered the thin crust. It's a lighter crust that holds up. What's key here is the balance - a perfect ratio cheese, toppings and sauce. And, it's not that nasty sweet sauce that I despise. The owner and his son are very sweet and always there making pizzas - so the quality is consistent. The prices are a bit lower too. It's a pick up rather than dine in place.

  • Dave W.

Love this place. Italian beef is better than portillos. Pizza and hot wings are good too. Priced right good portions.

  • Karl B.

I love Bellonas, they are the perfect neighborhood spot. Real Chicago pizza. I've been ordering for 3 or 4 years now. Just got a small stuffed Bellonas special. It came out to more than i thought, so I apologize for the small tip, I will make it up next time. I'm not stingy and Bellonas is worth it.

  • Heather H.

Bad pizza. I'm embarrassed to say I've been here a few times. Each time I go back I tell myself it couldn't have been that bad, but yea, it pretty much is still suck. It's almost as if they pour grease on top of the pizza, and it absorbs every ounce of flavor that existed. I've made a promise to myself to destroy all menus that get dropped off in the future.

Literally Moved About A 2-3 Min Walk From Thiis Pizza Place, Had It Once N I Was Hooked.... Awesome Service Everyones Always So Nice And Friendly, Been Going Here For A While Now n Cant Recall One Bad Experience, Reasonable Prices And Tha Free Pop For Tha Large Pizza oR Larger Is A Plus! Also Usually Order Fries Which Are Also Very Good N Cheap In Price, So Without A Doubt Try This Place I'm Sure U'll Like It!

  • Trish C.

I was shocked to see the bad reviews. I have been ordering pizza from these guys for 4+ years. Definitely the best pizza in the neighborhood. Great toppings, especially the sausage and cheese. Sometimes the guy taking orders on the phone is hard to understand, but it always ends up right.

    (5)
  • Paige B.

The pizza was just alright. The phone service, horrible. Like trying to give your order to a child who can't listen. So naturally, the order was messed up when it came almost an hour and a half later. There's definitely better pizza in the city, won't waste my time with this one again.

  • Andrea B.

They make a fabulous deep dish and do not skimp on the ingredients. My family and I have been eating at this neighborhood pizza spot for the last year. Greasy, yes but what do you expect from pizza!? Cheap, tasty, family owned and a free 2 liter with the purchase of a large! What more do you want!?

    (4)
  • Marta C.

This is the best neighborhood deal around. The pizza is more than decent, not that greasy and you cannot beat the prices. Kick in a free 2 Liter of pop and you have the cheapest date night ever. Ok maybe not date night but a quick meal with leftovers when you don't want to cook.

  • jake r.

Near Montrose & Kimball... This is good pizza! And at a great price like other reviewers were saying... I eat this pizza often and never dissapointed. Call your order and have it delivered!

    (4)
  • David B.

After reading reviews I decided to give this a try and was sorely disappointed. First of all the food was half an hour late. Second I was told it was because they got 'slammed' after I ordered my meal. How does that affect my meal? I was also told by the person on the phone that even though she wishes she could tell people an hour or so, that she's told to tell people 45 minutes. Not cool. Now normally I would have given this one star but the fact that they gave me some money back for being late I'll give them two stars and the fact that it came hot. If the food had been good I'd have given them 3 stars --- but sadly it was pretty terrible. The sauce is decent, I'll give them that but other than that it's downright awful pizza. Flavorless crust, way too much cheese, and not good quality cheese (the kind that pulls off the pizza in one piece) along with over-cooked frozen veggies that are super small). The mozz sticks I ordered were definitely frozen and I've had better from Arby's. The only thing I could taste on my special was the gigantic pieces of sausage. My wife's veggie pizza was disgusting and might as well have been a cheese pizza. And lastly, I don't like my cheese to have the consistency of calamari. We will not be going back here ever again.

  • Jorge G.

OMG! Heaven must've opened up a pizzeria in town and it's called BELLONA'S PIZZA on Montrose just west of St. Louis. The service is AWESOME. The pizza is GRRRRRRRRREAT. The prices are UNBEATABLE. A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    (5)
  • Eileen O.

I'm really shocked to see some of the bad reviews on here of Bellona's. They are an extremely small neighborhood place. They have maybe 4 pizza ovens so if you have to wait a little bit for your pizza don't complain. Good crust, good sauce, fresh toppings. What's wrong with that? If you're looking for a trendy upscale pizza don't go here. If you want traditional Chicago style thin crust with normal toppings at a great price then this is the place to go in Albany Park.

    (4)
  • Tanatorn A.

great mom and pops place, great service, pizza wasn't the best i've had, but gets a pretty decent mention. They make better than decent pizzas, my go to place is on vacation, so i thought I tried this place out, nothing to complain about, but nothing much to brag about neither. End to End had a good time eating their pizza, would be back

    (4)
  • Rae W.

I really wanted to love this spot, since its 2 min away but it was just OK. Delivery was exact and phone person was pleasant. I think that justifies the first two stars. The last star is earned for following directions and knowing what well done pizza means...not burnt not white...but a golden beauty. It sort of ended there...something was missing and I suspect it was seasoning... sausage seemed pretty fresh as well. I'm not a salt lover, so when I think there needs to be more...we have an issue. Would try again, although this go round I needed soooo much more.

  • Maria C.

This place is excellent!! they make their own pizza dough and sauce. So delicious. My hubby and I eat here twice a week. Great customer service and food!!

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.
