Everything a fast food spot should be. Great food at affordable prices. I had the half chicken dinner with barbeque sauce. It came with awesome oven roasted potatoes, garlic bread, and cole slaw. Everything was great.

The food was very good. The rib tips were smoked and the service was awesome. I can't wait to go back. It's a must try.

I've had a few things here and have enjoyed it each time. First, however, you need to understand that this place is a fast food setting kind of retro but nothing special. So, don't expect a lot on that front. It appears to be clean and on the front - and in the cooking area, things look very well maintained. I have had the Gyros platter and I love it. The only thing I make sure to do is ask that my fries are "well done" - I like those type of fries a bit crisper. The portion on the fries was average but they were very generous with the meat and the sauce and pita were tasty. I have had their cheeseburger also. A standard sandwich but tasty and well prepared. The fixings are always put on correctly (have had a problem with that at other places - go figure). If you have a taste for a burger, this will satisfy. Although I do have to say that I usually switch up to a double cheeseburger because I'm a little piggy. The Chicken Breast salad is a favorite of mine. First, they don't skimp on the chicken. A major complaint that I have at most places. The chicken appears to be grilled nicely and has a nice flavor. Very tasty. Instead of getting a dressing, however, I ask for marinara sauce on the side and they automatically gave me two sauces. On the service front, I thought that was fantastic. It came in handy and it was very delish. Pour it on and mix it up. Everything melds together quite nicely. The spaghetti is good but not too exciting. I generally don't like eating spaghetti outside because I loved my Mom's so much. However, it was good enough as a meal and I would order it again. Just remember, it's your average dine-out spaghetti but good enough. Today, I am trying their chicken parmigiana and look forward to it. I love their chicken and my sister told me they don't bread and make it a deep fried fat fast. So, on that front, I'm happy! Can't wait to try it today! Now, if their was a separate rating for the service, I would give them a 5. I have only eaten inside once so my experiences have been on the take-out end of things. The woman that answers the phone at about 11:45 - 12pm (seems to always be the same) is very nice, has a great memory and is just very nice to talk to. The delivery woman is very nice, prompt and friendly. I have to tell you, on the customer service end of things, on this take-out front, I am a happy camper. I appreciate this type of service, especially in today's day and age of slipping customer service skills.

I've always gotten carry-out here because it's near my work. Never tried their BBQ but their gyros are delicious and the ONLY thing I've ever tried. Their cheese fries are delicious too and I'm a huge fan of cheese fries. I'll try some of their other items if I can resist the temptation of ordering the gyros. Tasty and inexpensive! Best place for lunch.

their rib tips is a must try ! its a pretty big portion even for a small and the BBQ sauce is just delicious! their gyro sandwich is pretty good too.

For the name Bbq I expected so much more., my boyfriend got the rib tibs & they taste like they use open pit barbeque sauce (gross!) they truly do not have much on the barbecue selection. Its a glorified hotdog restaurant, but I've been too much better. oh yeah I got the gyros, the meat was ok should have been cooked longer, but the cucumber sauce was tasty. I don't think I will be going back anytime soon.

There was a meat fest! We shared a large rib tip meal. It came with cole slaw, garlic bread and fries. It was quite a generous helping of rib tips. They were tender and flavorful. There was a bit too much sauce slapped on but I used it to dip my fries. The garlic bread was surprisingly good. This was more than enough food for two people. I'm sure we could have gotten by with the small version of this platter. 1 Large rib tip meal + tax = $10, enough for two people.

Please get their rotisserie chicken in bbq sauce. Please. I want everyone to enjoy this amazing experience. I love the rice pilaf and garlic bread and you get that with almost any meal. I also get the chicken breast plate with rice pilaf and salad and garlic bread. I've also seen people eat the ribs and it looks amazing! There is so much to choose from and you will for sure leave with a happy, full tummy:)

We ordered a whole chicken, fresh garden salad, and a chicken breast platter and got 1/2 chicken twice. The quality of food has dropped terribly. The chicken was tasteless the breast was dry and flavorless. Did I mention that the order was short twice even after asking the cooks to repeat the order! Went during the day and in the evening. The last year or 2 this has become a regular issue. Never going back!

Driven by this place a bajillion times because it's on the way to the bf's house. Kinda always wanted to try it. The boy planted the seed for ribs and he's not a BBQ guy so I had to jump when he mentioned it. Neither of us wanted to travel too far (further north than 16th street, that is haha) so we stopped here. YUMMY. We both ordered the large rib tip dinner which comes with choice of fries, baked potato or something else I can't recall and coleslaw plus garlic bread for a whopping $9 and change, under 10 is great in my book! Add on a giant drink (the bf) and a medium beverage and we're out the door for $25. I was initially hesitant because the sauce was more red for my liking but I loved it. Also, I never quite understood the point of bread coming with a BBQ meal but I totally enjoyed the side of garlic bread! Fries were up to my standard, again I'm a conisseur of fried potatoes, specifically the french kind =). The coleslaw even met my standard. A tad sweeter would be nice but then again diabetes in the future would not be. Fear not the area my friends....while we were dining 8 police officers were also dining. If you're looking for a place to rob...this IS NOT the place. Rather speedy service and the staff seemed to be friendly. I did notice that some of the officers waited a bit long for their food, perhaps they wanted to get their order perfect. In my best Terminator voice: I'll be back.

The food here is served by a very friendly staff and all the food will make your mouth water. If your looking for alot of food for low price get the 1/2lb burgers, ribs tips or the gyros. After your done you'll be sitting back wanting to unbuckle your belt to another notch. It can be alot to take at once. My only complaint are the shakes. They use syrups to flavor the shakes so no real fruit. It comes out very bland and you can really tell there's lack of fruit.

A nice little BBQ place. The rib tips were pretty tasty and I loved the garlic bread. And the police were in the house, so it must be good...or free.

A nice change to all the Mexican food take-out joints in the area. Surprisingly, for a place that resembles just your average greasy spoon fare, they do dish out some tasty food. Try their rotisserie chicken with rice for a nice alternative to the burgers, hot dogs, and sandwiches they sell. (But are very good.) They do have outdoor seating in the summer, but most of their food is carry out. They do get rather crowded during the lunch, so if you have a large order, be sure to phone it in. The service is usually pretty friendly and prompt, and the prices are pretty reasonable for the portion size.

I love the Gyros here! I I have tried the gyros in different places and always end up coming back here! The onion and tomatoes are fresh.

It's cool. A place with a drive-through where you can get a rib tip dinner and a gyro is alright with me. I can get cheaper and better tips and gyros elsewhere, though.

I've driven by this place like a gazillion times & never thought to stop by until this weekend when my BF said he wanted BBQ. And I didn't even notice before that they have a Drive-Thru! ( That's whats up!!) I ordered the Italian Beef (because I haven't had 1 in years) & it was really really good. Could've used more sweet peppers... My daughter got the cheeseburger which was pretty big. My BF ordered the rib tips. Here, I will quote him, "They were pretty good. Sauce was pretty good. Not the best BBQ that I've tasted but it was pretty good. The slaw was delicious." Lol. When I got home the large fry was MIA but really, what drive thru DOESN'T screw up an order??!! You can't blame anyone but yourself when you drive off & don't check the contents so I won't gripe about that. I will do a follow-up review next time I go back and try the BBQ. It's so fattening so it might be awhile.. And I'm a very harsh BBQ critic. Nothing like Texas BBQ, I don't care what NOBODY says... Yeehaw!!

Thank god i found you! I just had a delicious meal on your patio. There was almost a line out the door, and the food was pretty good for your typical southside chicago restaurant. I'd usually only stop by these places when i feel the need to over eat, or drunk. So it was good to see that they also had salad and regular non-greasy sandwich options. The place is filled with big burly construction type men, who get the BBQ Plate, ( which is load with salad, meat, fries or rice, garlic bread, and a drink $7.00). I also think that your drive through window will probably come in handy, in the near future....

Very good prices on all of their food. The Chicken Breast platter is my favorite! If they could open the drive thru they can see an increase in sales... Just a tip

I'd fire the employees working tonight's shift. It's 8:42pm and they wouldn't take my order because "they closed early tonight". Simply put, that's the last time I come to this place! Makes me wonder what other corners the lazy employees cut there.

GrubHub helped me find this local gem with quick, cheap delivery. Very salty BBQ sauce, but good. (Consider asking them to use half the amount of sauce.)Their casual food brings back all the joy I loved about 80's movies, music and culture. Quality, happiness. ;-)

This is a quick lunch spot in the area. I was a little unimpressed with the food, I ended up getting the rib tips and I should have known going in that they would be extremely hard to eat. Note to self- eating rib tips as a female with male co-workers probably isn't the best idea. The BBQ sauce wasn't anything out of the ordinary, and there wasn't too much meat on my rib tips. Next time I think Ill just try the regular ribs. The fries they come with are your typical fries, seasoning on them would do wonders. It also took awhile for our food to come out even though it's one of those places that you order from the counter and sit at the booth until your name/number gets called. The Greek salads looked great though! I'll have to try that the next time I'm here. I really wanted to like this place, because I'm partial to BBQ diners, and it was good but wasn't blown away like I was hoping.

Just got bbq patio delivered and it was horrible! The fries were cold, the mushrooms burnt, the burger was cold and the bun was so greasy I couldn't even pick it up. This is only the second yelp review I've ever written, but the food was just so bad, I felt I needed to.

If you like waiting three minutes at the drive-thru speaker before being acknowledged by anyone, then being asked at the window whether you're there for a pickup order, then paying nearly 11 dollars for an average-sized, average-tasting gyro sandwich with no tzatziki sauce and three tiny tomato slices on it, plus mediocre fries and a dinky drink, this is the place for you! If you like good food at good prices and don't understand how a gyro sandwich combo could cost nearly 11 dollars when the sandwich alone costs just $5.45 (even though, truth be told, you added cheese to the sandwich), you should probably take your business elsewhere.

Just ordered a large order of rib tips from here and they are delicious! The order comes with a perfectly baked potato, some coleslaw and a slice of garlic bread. The rib tips are so tender that they're practically off the bone already and theres not too much far in them. It's also large enough for two. The BBQ sauce is great too! I would definitely recommend this neighborhood spot in Bridgeport, they deliver and they have a drive thru. First time I've ordered from them and I will definitely come back. Happy camper here! :)

I am all for an outdated grease hut, but this one was a sad disappointment. The rib tips had little to no meat worth picking at, ribs were pulled out of something that looked like a kraft singles wrapper and were a haunting gray color. Worst tamale I have had in a while. Fries were decent. The coleslaw is the one thing that saved this from getting a one star rating.

The rib tips dinner is great, lots of meat and sauce and the flavors are Classic BBQ nothing fancy just great local food. Been coming here for over 15 years.

The food was good but they second time I ordered my food through grubhub and tipped them before they came, the guy lied and said the door was locked just so he wouldn't have to come up to our floor. I was so pissed. never ordering from there again.

Never knew about this place til reading about it on Yelp. I ordered the small rib tips platter and my guy got the gyro. Ribs were tender and BBQ sauce had a bit of kick to it. I wish there was a bit more sauce though. Fries weren't all that great, but I guess with the BBQ sauce just made me keep eating them. Garlic bread was good, but the cole slaw was bleh. Gyro had a nice flavor, but I prefer the ones from Greek Town. Would go back and try other items off the menu.

Went to the Drive through for my ordered. I was the only customer in the place but it took almost half-hour to get my food. I ordered the hot wings and the cheesy beef. Hot wings were pretty tasty, they crispy on the outside soft on the inside and fell right of the bone. The cheesy beef was OK. My fault though, thought i was ordering something else. The cheesy beef there is pretty much Italian beef in a bun with some cheese. On the wings alone this place would have got a 5 but because of the wait and the mediocre Cheesy beef it's getting a 3.

The food has always been great here, mostly everything good except the fries they should go with natural cut instead of frozen. I Ordered some food for pickup arrived at the place through the drive thru paid for the food and the girl who was at the window took my money and didn't even say "thank you ", have a nice day or anything that was rude.

With half-a-dozen cops dining here, I knew it had to be a trustworthy lunch spot. I'm a fan on their thick milkshakes and chicago-style hot dogs, which are served quickly. Since there's good Mexican food down the road, it made sense that the tamale was sub-par. Haven't had their gyros or bbq, but the gyro is next on my list.

Walking in to BBQ Patio, you will pass by one of probably the last few indoor payphones in Chicago. Passing through the second set of glass doors, you'll likely first notice the motif that seems to combine a standard diner setup with these HUGE potted plants that just give off this crazy vibe. I don't know what they have to do with anything, but they seem too large to not be pure coincidence. Well, when it comes to BBQ-type diner joints with a wide grill, I go for a burger. And they have a "Patio Burger" that's a half-pounder. "With bacon and cheese, everything, hold the tomato and make the onions grilled." - that's my favorite way to order up a nice burger, you know? And their giant burgers come with fries. So you can get a double-1/4-pound burger for $4.25 and no fries, or the 1/2-pound Patio burger that comes with fries and coleslaw for $5.09 - logic dictates getting the fries (since a small order by itself is $1.55) and so did my tummy. During the wait, I looked around. The bathrooms are hidden (behind two giant potted plants, of course) and there is just stacks of condiments and accoutrements for the picking if you're dining in. There are two small TVs on the sides by some groupings of tables. And given the "patio" title, they do in fact have tables outdoors for your dining pleasure. Of course, you've gotta grab the tray of food. As it says on their menu, "We Deliver, We don't Serve." I eventually was handed a large Styrofoam container put into a paper bag. Upon getting home, I found that they had indeed given me tomatoes, which signals something in my brain as not good. The onions were nicely grilled, though. The fries - mediocre. Nothing to write home about, but nothing worthy of great complaint, either. I admit that while waiting, I saw some of the best-looking gyros I'd ever laid eyes on being served up to another family. My burger escapades aside, I will definitely be back to test drive one of those lamb-y lovelies. And, of course, for the "Home of Chicago's Favorite RIBS!" claim on their menu. If you're willing to put it on your menu as fact, you'd better be able to back it up with your food, folks. Until then, I'll just call this place "weird nostalgic diner serving a decent but not-spectacular burger and fries".

I have been having a taste for a gyro for a while now. In Bridgeport it was hard to find a good gyro, George's wasn't worth yelping about, and BWR wanted way too much. (Over eight bucks for just the sandwich are you outta your mind?). We moved this week, and this place is within walking distance from our apartment. Seeing that they serve gyros made me want to stop in. The promise of some good BBQ will make me come back and try other things on the menu. I sat in. Its a very small no frill's dining area. What do you expect from a fast food place though? Service was to the point. They ask what you would like you place your order you wait a short time grab your tray and sit down. My gyro was rather tasty. Now I can't say it's my all time favorite gyro but it certainly hit the spot. They also stuffed my pita bread to the point of hard to eat. Fine by me! They were also really generous with the sauce which a lot of places aren't so that was nice. Fries were good but needed a little bit of salt and would have been better extra well done. Add a diet Pepsi and it was a very filling tasty lunch. Price came out just under eight bucks too. so it was rather reasonable.

We had the rotisserie chicken in bbq sauce, and it was literally in bbq sauce. I thought it was cooked to perfection, because the meat was falling off the bones. Also their rip tips were amazing. I didn't care for the fries, but I did like the rice pilaf and the garlic bread. The whole meat was about $20.16 it was a good deal.

Once upon a time I didn't like the Patio, but they have gotten better. the bbq sauce is where its at in this place. The 1/2 chicken with bbq is what my hubby got tonight and he had no complaints other than the portions were to big to finish.I got the gyro plate, which was pretty good and very big I shoulda ordered 2 pitas because their was enough meat for 2 all. in all the place is worth going to. However if I want ribs I'll continue to go to Uncle Johns no place in chicago can beats uncle on the ribs

I haven't been to this place in ages, but was hungry so I decided to stop in. The smell is soo good.. the open grill is mouth watering. I went for the burger and mushrooms.. awesome as always. Big burgers with all the toppings... Big menu for every kind of eater. Definitely check this place out. Can get busy, but its well worth the wait.

I haven't actually had any of their BBQ, but they have the standard burger joint fare. I've had the gyro and burgers there, with each being a bit above par.

I don't live far from here and have been driving past for years without stopping . I checked the reviews on yelp, and we finally checked this place out. I was expecting a lot based on the other reviews and have to say I was pretty disappointed. We went around 6 pm so there wasn't anyone in the dining area, but there were cars in the drive through. The woman at the cash register had an unpleasant disposition. We got , 2 gyros, a large fry and a patty melt. The fries were crisp, soggy, crisp, soggy, completely inconsistent, which was puzzling, since they looked picture perfect. The gyros meat had not been warmed up on the griddle like my usual gyros place does it, so the gyros seemed cold . I don't know if this was an oversight on the gyros or what. Our diner with the patty melt was happy with it. The dining area and rest room were very clean, which is not always the case at some of these stands.

Just googled to see what was in the area and come across this local gem. Came in for lunch craving bbq ribs and so glad i got them, i am not disappointed! 1/2 slab baby back ribs, with a baked potato and garlic bread - yum it was enough to feed a horse, but i packed half for tomorrow's lunch. The person taking the order was nice enough, everything went smoothly! We had a pleasant experience dining in, got there early enough to avoid the rush and had good seating.
