Oh Bar Millennium. Since it's been freezing outside, dozens of us have snaked through the pedway each Friday night to drink some of your jumbo beers all the while grumbling about your cramped quarters, lack of seating space, sluggish service, and crummy cell-phone reception. We complain to each other every Friday during work about needing a new place to venture to that will fit all of us, but we've opted to continue the trek through the labyrinth of passageways so we don't freeze our faces off by trekking outside. But now, the days are getting longer and the weather is warming, and I hope that we'll soon find a better place to start our weekends.

Went here for my birthday last week. It was a great time. Very friendly staff, more than fair prices (especially for the loop), and decent drink specials. We had a big group so it was hard to find a place for everyone to sit, there's only a handful of tables and booths. That's my only complaint though, I had a great time here and will definitely come back. The staff even gave my group a free tequila shot to thank us for our patronage.

Looking for someplace cheap in the Loop? I know a place that is kinda underground. Literally. Right under the Cultural Center, across the street from the Bean is Bar Millennium. If you take the METRA or the South Shore, you might pass it all the time without even noticing but once you stop in, you are going to be a regular. Where else downtown are you going to get $4.00 Jumbo Coors and Miller Lights (ie, 25 oz.) several nights of the week? Plus, with baseball and then football season, it is a great place to stop and catch the Cubs, the Sox and Da Bears. Turn to the guy next to you, he will be glad to share his thoughts on the game, the train or life in general. Say Mary K. sent ya.

Bar Millennium is your typical no frills sports bar. Plasma TVs are strategically placed with the current "hot" game of the day being displayed. The Bar is a small rectangle with some booths situated along the side wall. Many business professionals from Prudential or Aon flock down after 5pm every Friday. The service was a little shaky in the beginning when it opened earlier this year and you can tell the server was noticeably stressed. The good thing about this bar are the daily specials. $4.50 32 oz beer , $6 martinis, domestic speicals and ladies night every Tuesday.

Bar Millennis! Was only here one time but definitely had fun. It's pretty small, but it's got great specials and is in the pedway. Can't beat it- don't even have to go outside! The only problem is that it does close pretty early.

Is this place still open? I called the phone number and it is disconnected. 312-846-6875. looks like it is associated with chi-town pizza in the gold coast which is still open but they seem to know nothing about bar millenium.

For a bar located in the train station this isn't a bad spot to stop for a drink after work or when your train gets delayed. prices are fair, and it gets crowded after 4:30. all and all not bad.
