Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

I know, I know, it was my fault. I should have told the guy to hold the cartilage and ligaments with my chicken taco. As I was chewing and crunching down on all kinds of unspeakable chicken parts, the voice in my head kept repeating (I told you so, I told you so, stupid!) I've driven past this place many times but never dropped in to eat, not only because of the difficult parking but also because it looked like the owners disregard of the restaurants appearance probably also reflected upon the attention they paid to the quality of the food. Dropping the remaining parts of my taco into my dog's bowl, the voice in my head was laughing (stupid moron ha, ha). I like to take risks once in a while. And in this instance, I paid the price. Suffice it to stay that I now consider this place a specialty dog food store from now on. Update * Dog food may be too strong a reaction but let's just say that I won't eat here again.

This place has kind of grown on me. Very charming decor and family owned and operated. The booth seats were slightly uncomfortable but the service was spot on. Homemade pico, salsa, and chips. The waitress smiles and took our orders. We had the bistec, a beef enchilada, steak torta, steak burrito. I love when I feel like my food was given some loving when its being cooked. I felt it, a little spark. The flan was unforgettable and truly mouth watering. I would bathe in their flan if it were socially acceptable. Only downside was the pricing. Its seemed a bit too pricey for a neighborhood Mexican joint. This isn't the suburbs or downtown, get it right! And of course, CASH ONLY...booo. Step up your game and accept them already. JEEZ! I am down with homemade ANYTHING. That means I am down with you, Los 4 Hermanos!

I would never have tried this place if it wasn't for a coupon in my Entertainment book. Now my family goes there all the time. You can't beat their tacos which are super fresh and under 2 bucks each. Make sure you order them with cilantro and onions. The pork one is best. I agree with other reviewers that this is not a fancy place but it's a typical mom and pop style Mexican place... with really good tacos.
(4)Rick F.
Family owned! Food is fresh down home Mexican! We eat in, we order take out and we've had it delivered. Some of my favorites are: Salsa and chips are great, Carna Asada, Tostadas, Taco's, fajitas are excellent! For quick good Mexican food, you can't go wrong with this place!

After seeing the reviews, I decided to give this place another try. I wasn't too impressed with them when I visited a few years ago. I had a burrito which promptly fell apart. It was served along side the beans which made it messy to eat. The beans were runny but the rice was okay. The horchata wasn't very flavorful. I lost my appetite after a large fly landed on my plate. I left nearly half the meal. The server only gave me one of the two hot sauces available and the red one was flavorless. I won't be going back again as there are better choices in the area.

This is a family run, no frills, but cozy little place and there are good cheap eats here. Also BYOB. It's the sort of place where you go right by the cooking station on the way to the little restroom at the back. Good food here though and a homey feel. Wife and I had a two taco lunch, and a steak torta ($5.99) and lengua torta ($6.25). There were a lot of takeout orders also. Will be back one day and maybe snack at the bar, and may also try the son's Hermanos Too location on Touhy one day.

One of my favorite Mexican places been going here since they opened they even have deliverey all the staff are friendly and outgoing even the delivery guy is so nice try it out you will be glad you did
(5)D K.
Great food ! Awesome customer service ! Love this place. Lunch time server is the best. She looks pretty young but, a awesome server. The night server is a little special. She's a little bit slower and less attentive. The restroom is in the back behind the kitchen.
(5)Robert Q.
They have awesome daily specials. I ordered on a Thursday which was 2 enchiladas and a taco with rice and beans for $5.95. Awesome price, friendly staff, and best meat in the neighborhood! I will be returning because they also serve breakfast.
(5)Kathleen O.
Never again. I was craving a burrito suizo hardcore last night, and came across 4 Hermanos as we don't have many Mexican places that deliver where we live. Ordered delivery through Grubhub and once it arrived we immediately regretted our decision. It was the worst Mexican food we have ever had. I'm surprised we didn't get sick... Never again....
(1)Thomas S.
This is a great little neighborhood place. Nothing fancy, but good Mexican food for a good value. The service is friendly and attentive -- go back just a few times and they recognize who you are and what you like to order. The salsas are delicious. Pro tip: Can't figure out what you want? Mix it up every visit with the special of the day. It's all good, and you'll get to sample the best of their best. Avoid the American food, as it's so-so. Then again, why go to a Mexican restaurant for American food??? Décor is dated, but to me it's really part of this place's charm.
(5)Juan A.
Second time here and my food was very tasty, my tacos came out hot and were very good. Recommend to anyone who is driving by.
(5)Van O.
Well I am a BIG fan of the chesse burger and frys I know a mexican restraint but its that old dinner feel, I have tried some of there spanish specials and they where good and at reasonable price.
(4)Luis F.
This place is very small but the food isn't so bad. There aren't that many Mexican restaurants in the area besides this one which is why I gave it three stars because of the fact that it does okay for a small neighborhood Mexican restaurant that is closer to the people in the area than any other one. Plus the people are friendly there too and the food came pretty quick; which is probably because it's a small place so there's not that many people to serve. If you can travel a bit further down the road don't come here there are definitely better ones, but if you want something quick and nearby then stop by for some decent Mexican style cooking.
(3)Tito S.
Its one of the only Mexican restaurants in the area..the service is very fast but the food is just ok..Ive been to many Mexican Restaurants in Chicago and this isnt the worst but pretty close to it..the place is dirty and small..avoid it and take a drive a bit further for a better experience
(2)Servando C.
Hands down the best Al Pastor Gorditas in the north side. Their Horchata is just as amazing. The service is great; friendly, fast and efficient. Whether you are dinning in or take out the food will be delicious! There have been a handful of new businesses that keep coming and going around the area, but this place is still going strong. This place is DELICIOSO!!!
(5)Dani R.
My boyfriend called get a delivery and the person was so rude over the phone and was very annoyed so he didn't end up ordering anything from them. We've tried it before but the food is good , but pretty high priced for something I can easily make at home.
(1)MP C.
Prompt and friendly carry out for Mexican food. Reasonable prices for the portions. Their nachos can feed 2.
(4)Carmen A.
Horrible service! Horrible breakfast! The huevos mexicanos seem to have had the sauce straight from a can. Water tasted like tap water WITHOUT a filter.. just bad experience overall... Thankfully didn't spend much because of the groupon
(2)dan p.
overpriced, small burritos but nothing bad about the place. perhaps in jefferson park this is one of the few choices for mexican food but i don't think a veggie burrito should be around the same price as a steak burrito. eh......
(3)kevin s.
Filled me up! Wasn't spectacular, but I enjoyed it nonetheless
(3)Annette U.
Just moved to the neighborhood and decided to get the Groupon. We got a chimichanga, fajitas, and a pork tamale. Good, solid Mexican food. I think it will be our new go to place.
(4)Pam D.
Decent little taco joint for all your decent little taco needs. The steaks were flavorful, not exciting. The rice was good, the beans typical. Good horchata. It does have a truck stop vibe, which works for me. I used a daily Groupon for this visit. That made the food taste even better!!!
(3)Jason F.
I ordered the chicken Suizo under Big Burritos and Nothing was over cooked and I received a lot of food for my money. Also the food was made quickly but not fast food quickly so I know it wasn't already made and heated in a microwave. There was tons of flavor first bite to last, seasoning was perfect and the sides were delicious.

This is a tiny Mexican place that looks like an old school diner in a way and could use some asthetic help. I tried the Seasoned Pork Torta and Guacamole and chips. The torta was huge and had good flavor, could be split with someone else if not very hungry. The Guac needed salt but once added it was very good. Service was fast and friendly. Avoid the hot sauce though, it is death dealing!
(3)Jena D.
If you have a taste for some good inexpensive mexican food this is the place to go. I have ordered food here multiple times over the last few years. I was a little disappointed with the taco salad the first time i ordered it without the meat. But the second time i asked them to substitute the meat for grilled veggies and they did and it was much much better. There is usually a long wait for delivery on friday nights so its probably best to order and go pick it up to save on time.
(4)Sarahmond W.
Honestly one of the better places to eat at in Jefferson Park. The food is classic Mexican and really good. I recommend steak quesadilla!
(4)S M.
Great guacamole. Steak tacos are excellent, too. Fast service for dine in and carry out.
(4)Kristine K.
Love this place! Food is always delivered quick and hot. There ranchero sauce is sooo good!
(5)patty o.
Great daily specials that are $5 , had steak taco dinner today and when ordering make sure onions & cilantro if not they will tomatoes and lettuce. The corn tortillas tastes so fresh like made in house. Nice staff as well, also they do take credit cards now but not Discover.
(5)Angelica E.
Very interesting. Old school diner but its a mexican resturant. Thought I give it a try since I was craving some tacos as of late anyways. I ordered 2 steak and a beef with onion, cilantro, and cheese....you know what pretty tasty. I also had the horchata to drink...not too bad either. Its definatly not fancy but its a nice cheap fix if your in the area.
(3)Ana R.
This was a great find..would definitely visit again. The guacamole was awesome!
(4)Marisol S.
I bought a groupon and went yesterday night with my boyfriend and daughter. First of all, if you are expecting great service, go elsewhere. This is mediocre service at best. First, we came in and were not only...not greeted, not even acknowledged. Management badly lacking in ability to perform mathematical calculations - ALL the tables with 4 seats are set with either 1 or 2 place settings. Basically we sat down at a table with one setting and as we were somehow invisible to the well staffed SMALL place, I had to get up and reach over and get 2 additional tablemats and fork from other table. OK, fast forward to order taking...I wanted to order the $5.99 tostada special which comes with 2 tostadas. I wanted one with chicken and one with chorizo...OH NO NO NO...the waitress stopped me right there...I was informed I had to order both of them with the same meat....Huh? What the? It wasn't like I was asking for substitutions...Tostadas come with meat anyway...What is the big hoopla if a customer wants a choice of the meat...?? Anyway, I didn't make a big stink or nothing...just changed my order to a chicken taco and a quesadilla with chorizo. Well, the food came...My daughter was served her Skirt steak with no knife...somehow that theme again where staff seems to take a stand against cutlery with food ? So we had to flag down the waitress for what seemed like an eternity even though she was literally 7 steps from us (SMAll Place)...Took 2 bites of my chicken taco and came across the surprise cartilage / ligaments the other reviewer wrote about here on yelp...very true...shoulda listened to him...chorizo quesadilla, although very greasy was good...but that is not saying much...cuz i know mexican food...and you can get good chorizo quesadillas ANYWHERE...To be fair, My daughter did say the skirt steak was very good...she ate it all up. The horchata was decent, but don't expect your socks to be knocked off. And as far as ambiance, a big fat zero..Basically, not a place I need to ever set foot in again.
(2)Sean L.
I love this place especially since it is BYOB. I think it has some of the best Mexican food in the city at a very reasonable price. Most times I go for the burrito suizo, usually lengua which has been absolutely great every time I ordered it. The salsa is also great to get as a side if you are ordering your food to go.
(5)Kat L.
My little neighborhood is a little area of desperation. I love any place that tastes good and delivers. But oh, the horror.... cash only. I've both had delivery and dined in. Very outdated decor with a few Mexican tidbits here and there. I just.... I dunno. I feel like more can be done. The chips they serve on the table get stale. The food is just "okay." It's done how you expect them to be, but nothing new or exciting. It's a good place when you want to just "get to the point," have your meal, and bounce. Definitely not a place you'd sit around in after your meal to have a nice chat. Get in. Get the food in. Then get out. lol I do wish this place were a bit better. I love family businesses and supporting lil shops. But this place needs to get up with the times to become more than just forgettable for me.
(2)April A.
Good, friendly service, peaceful ambiance, great food. Don't know what else to say. I had the Big Chicken Quesadilla and it was delicious. The portion sizes are big for what you pay, which is cheaper than most places. No complaints. :)
(5)Lexie V.
Eh. Let's start off on a good note-- the horchata is some of the best I've ever had. Yay! I made the mistake of buying the deal before reading the reviews. As I waited for my order to be prepared I started to read the reviews... I got a little nervous and thanked the heavens that I didn't order the chicken burrito like I had originally planned. The food wasn't bad, it wasn't great. My boyfriend got some sort of meat burrito (pork?) and I got the veggie burrito. As a former long time vegetarian, I always appreciated the inclusion of vegetarian options. Still, if you can't do it right than don't do it at all. The veggie burrito was weird. It wasn't awful, it was just confusing. My taste buds had no idea what was going on, yet I kept on eating anyway because it was cheap, it was cinco de mayo, and I was a few minutes away from starvation. I washed it down with horchata which almost made it all better. In the end... if it is convenient and you've got the Yelp deal, then go for it. I would not suggest going
(3)Thai L.
This was my first time eating from this place since I started this job. The food was good but I honestly think they can add more chicken instead of all the condiments. I order a orchata with my lunch and they gave me a large when they should have asked me what size did I want with my lunch. Over all it was fast delivery .
(3)Deirdre L.
This place is solid. While the booths aren't terribly comfortable and the ambiance is lacking, well, ambiance, the food is cheap and tasty, it seems acceptably clean and the staff is really nice. The $5 specials are likely to be a huge part of my sustenance!
(4)Gene W.
This place isn't amazing, but it's exactly what it needs to be. The service is always quick and friendly, and the food rarely disappoints. I've never had anything close to "the meal of my life" at 4 Hermanos, but I have had plenty of good ones. The milanesa torta is the kind I drool just thinking about. They make really great horchata, and as beans go, they're doing it right. I don't know that this is the ideal place to bring a date, but then, most taquerias aren't. However, once you've wined and dined your woman sufficiently, this is a great place to order from on a night in watching movies.
(4)Cindy S.
The food is always hot, service is great and the staff is so friendly And the specials are great. Cant say enough good things about 4 Hermanos!
(5)Rob K.
I Loooooooooooovvvvvvvvvvve Dirty Mexican food. I've only had the tacos here but I really liked em. I had the steak tacos and slathered them in hot sauce. Fast service, clean restaurant, and I love the old fashioned diner/Mexican decor. A nice alternative to TBK.
(4)Dan M.
Basically, Los 4 Hermanos is your typical Mexican restaurant. They serve tacos, burritos, tortas, and everything else you'd expect with good portions at excellent prices. The biggest problem I have? They don't accept anything but cash. Come on, this is 2011! Get with the program! Other than that, their stuff is fantastic and I recommend it to anyone in the area. Also, I'm not a horchata fan, but their horchata is delicious.
(4)Jacqueline J.
Love this place for cheap Mexican. Good quality. Steak tacos are delicious and the delivery is very speedy.
(4)Michael M.
I used to work at the Blockbuster across the street and 4 Hermanos was one of the places we used to order food from. It was always really quick and the burritos are as big as your head. I would get frustrated because they were so big and I couldn't finish them during my breaks and the smell would taunt me for the rest of the shift!
(4)Meghann O.
Really, really great fresh mexican food! Tried this place out because I got a groupon. It was really delicious and CRAZY affordable for mexican. Everything was tasty and made fresh to order. Will definitely be adding this place to my regular restaurants.
(4)Juliet L.
This place is tasty - I love the enchiladas. Their combinations have plenty of food and their hot sauce is awesome. Their steak tacos are deelicious. They're great for carryout - always have the food ready in 10 minutes and never get our orders wrong. The rice and beans are great too - I actually eat them.
(4)Jessica B.
2 stars for daily deals and price. corn tortillas tasted like they were stale and old. It appeared as if they used only the dark meat and the icky pieces of the chicken for the fajitas. not good.
(2)Syngin A.
I eat here whenever I make a trip to the American Science and Surplus store across the street. The food is indecently cheap, authentic and the cup of horchata is the size of your head. They also serve American fare, such as hamburgers and fries. I always order 5 tongue tacos. The tortillas are little but doubled up so that the meat and juice don't cause it to fall apart. My soft shell tacos also come with a heaping helping of cilantro and lime wedges. I don't think the tacos are as good as the ones I get at Maxwell Street, but there's not many places that sell tongue tacos in the neighborhoods I frequent. The interior of the restaurant is what you think of when you think of hole-in-the-wall. Oh, a lot of cops with their bullet proof vests, holster and guns eat here.
(3)Zeke G.
Typical Mexican take-out. I have become a fan mainly because of its close proximity to my day job. Their daily $5 Specials make this place so much more appealing. I strongly suggest stopping by on a Sunday for a Grande' Chicken Quesadilla special, and a refreshing glass of Horchata. Their banana milkshakes are bomb-ass too! i am fairly certain that they use the Horchata to make them instead of milk. but, i could just be hoping. The best part about this restaurant is that they will cook just about anything to your specifications, as far as ingredients and flavors.
(4)Jovim V.
Took my brother here one time and he loved it - just like I did. Inside is pretty simple - kind of a 50s diner feel to it. A little run down - but I guess that gives it some character. We ordered tacos. You can tell about a Mexican restaurant based on their tacos. Man oh man, was it good. They gave us so many things to put inside the taco - surprisingly - avocado! I never have been to a restaurant that did this. My ex girlfriend's family did this and I just couldn't find a restaurant that would do this. Sour cream, lime, lettuce, tomatoes, AVOCADO, etc. The waitress was pretty cute too. All the men were gawking at her. Experience was good - food was excellent. My pockets were happy too.
(4)Katherine S.
The worst chicken and steak torta I ve eaten on a Sunday morning.
(1)Tom C.
Outside of Pisen this is one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants I've been to. The inside looks more like a truck-stop diner and the outside appearance of the restaurant can be deceptive but the food is anything but. Staff is very warm and welcoming. First time coming I came at the recommendation of a friend and I've been hooked ever since. One thing I learned is that when ordering the tacos one needs to be specific about only wanting onions and cilantro on the tacos otherwise they "Americanize" it by putting lettuce, cheese and tomatos on it. The steak tacos are juicy and flavorful and priced reasonably. Keep up the good work guys.
(5)Iza K.
Good burittos! Eat here often.
(5)Lee M.
awful food , left the restaurant with the meal half eaten , just real poor quality .
(1)Kate W.
It took my husband and I a while to break out the courage to try this local's Mexican restaurant. Our neighbor tried to entice us by saying "it must be good, all the cops go there". However, I wasn't sure that was a big deal in a neighborhood full of cops and firemen! Anyway, once we tried it out, we were glad we did. Extremely reasonable prices, fast service, super friendly staff, great chips and salsa on the table... and Mexican Coca Cola in bottles (no high-fructose corn syrup)! It's certainly not a fancy night out, but great for pick up on the way home Friday night or if you are out running errands in the neighborhood. The food is extremely fresh and I also like that they have a variety of vegetarian options. The burritos are truly huge. My insider tip: for a cheaper meal, get a few tacos instead. Also, check out the daily specials. Bus: Foster, Central 85/85A, Pace 225/226, Milwaukee 56
(4)Patty B.
Only have ever ordered to go and gave them 3 tries. Everytime it sucked. It was total slop once I was home. It may be good THERE, but don't know. Won't go back.
(1)Alex S.
I've only been to this place twice. Once for dinner and once for brunch. Both experiences were good. For brunch I had Enchiladas suizas with chorizo. It's not very common to have chorizo in enchiladas but I was feeling adventurous. I'm a very big fan of Mexican chorizo (If you're Latino and reading this stop laughing). I must say the chorizo was very tasty and well done. The red sauce on the enchiladas wasn't heavy on the flavor but the chorizo made up for that. The dish had just the perfect amount of cheese. If you like sour cream on your enchiladas order a side of it because it didn't have enough. My husband had the chilaquiles with steak. The green sauce was garlicky and had a nice flavor but it wasn't spicy. The chips and red salsa were fresh. This place is convenient for me since I live in Jefferson Park and there aren't too many restaurants around. If you're in the neighborhood I suggest you stop by it's a nice small but cozy mom and pop place.
(4)Amy S.
We ordered carry out from Los 4 Hermanos, in an attempt to find a go-to Mexican joint in our new hood. It was decent.... I think we'll order again before really making a call on the place. Our order was ready in 10 minutes, the portions were huge, and there was nothing worth noting that was bad. The husband had Chicken Enchiladas Suizas- looked good. He's a pig, and it was enough for him. I'd have had leftovers for sure. I got my Carne Asada Nachos fix- too much cheese for me, but that's not a complaint you'll hear from too many people, I'm sure. The steak was better than your run of the mill burrito joint.
(3)Jeff C.
I really wanted to like this place when I moved nearby. I gave it 3 chances. The staff has absolutely no personality whatsoever, even to what seem to be "regulars" that came in. All three times I asked for water with in addition to my other beverage and I had to ask again. I can live with that but the food is boring and in some cases terrible. It's just bland, these people lost the spice rack. And my poor 5 year old daughter! She was subjected to burnt chicken fingers and rubbery pancakes. Skip this place, there are plenty of other options.
(1)Erik R.
Either my taste buds were turned off half way through my meal, or the food really was missing flavor. So here's the set up, the place looks like a diner gone south of the border. The decor is definitely outdated, the booths and tables seem worn, but it's not a total let down. Would recommend some updating. Now lets get down to business. You can say I'm a conniseur of Mexican food, now that we have that out the way, I'm slightly disappointed yet confused about this place. My significant other and I dined here the other night; our order was 2 steak and 2 chicken tacos for her, 2 steak and 2 Chile Relleno (Poblano Stuffed Pepper) tacos for me. At first I was slightly annoyed by the extreme use of lettuce and tomato in the taco. What were you trying to hide huh? The steak tacos were really flavorless, but the chicken tacos seemed to have a little flavor. Either way if it wasn't for the half decent hot sauce on the table, I'm not sure how I would have ate them. Here's the twist to this story, the Chile Relleno tacos were the bomb! They used real Chihuahua cheese, the egg batter was seasoned well, and the peppers were actually big. I was making 2 tacos with each pepper. My significant other and I did enjoy these tacos very much. Pros: Inexpensive, Under $20 for both of us, great Chile Relleno Tacos, hot sauce was OK, service was timely and we didn't have to wait long for food. Cons: Steak tacos were really flavorless, chicken tacos were a little better but still mediocre, no credit cards accepted, and interior decorator has yet to stop by this place to bring it up to speed. Even with all this being said, I am willing to give Los 4 Hermanos a second chance; you know just in case the cook was not on top of his A game that day. So come on baby, lets kiss, make up, and make some good tacos. Will ya?
(2)Tori S.
This unassuming storefront restaurant has produced some of the best Mexican food I've eaten. Ever. Their steak burritos are heaven in a Styrofoam box. If Los 4 Hermanos had better parking, I think they would be more well-known. But they offer a take-out service. When we took advantage of that, our order was always bagged and ready for pick-up when I arrived. The staff was always happy to see me. This restaurant offers me everything I want in a meal - good, fattening food served to me with a minimum of drama. The prices are comparable to a place like Garcia's. Please patronize this business and have a burrito for me while you're there.
(5)Vicki l.
I'll never go back..... I just moved into the neighborhood. Never was in this restaurant in my life. Wanted to order a Taco Dinner, and asked them if they would give me flour tortilla instead of corn, and they wanted to charge me a dollar more for flour...Well for one thing, I'm pretty sure that corn is more expensive then flour. And also in all the years I've been going to mexican Restaurant, never ever has anyone charged me more for flour tortilla.I'm Italian and we load the food on your plate. So it just hit me the wrong way. It's not a way to treat a new customer. So I won't be going back!
(1)Vivian K.
1st time there and probably wont return. Its close by so i figured id give it a try. Ordered enchiladas and they just didn't taste right. Two bites in and i felt something SLIMY. I have never seen such a big piece of fat in my life. Didn't even bother trying to find out if there might be more.
(3)Mike Q.
The food is consistently good but not great. Prices seem to be a little higher every time I visit (and I'm in there about 2 times a month since it's right around the corner from home) - $11 and change for a burrito and beans seems steep for the area. The horchata is some of the best in the area, but there's always some kind of confusion when I order the "big" size off the menu. The waitress will then hold up a small cup and a bigger cup, and I'll point to the bigger cup. She will then ask if that's the one I want, and I'll say "yes." Inevitably, someone else will fill the drink order and we'll go through the same dance. I recently starting pointing out the "big" horchata on the menu while stating that I want "the big one - the biggest size there is."

One of my fave mexican food joints! Local neighborhood place at a busy intersection. Somewhat of a 50's motif with a TV and a a decent number of tables. The best horchata around and the chimychangas are fabulous! The breakfasts are great, as well! Decent prices but there is practically no parking lot. You have to fight for street parking or try to squeeze into the back parking lot if there's a spot!
(5)B. L.
They are Ok. Maybe the time I went they were having a bit of an off day. Not much atmosphere, but definetly reasonably priced. I really enjoy Mexican food, so I hope to go back and give them another try.
(3)D K.
(5)Tom C.
(5)Gene W.
(5)Erik R.
Will ya?
(2)S M.
Great guacamole. Steak tacos are excellent, too. Fast service for dine in and carry out.
(4)tomas a.
One of my favorite Mexican places been going here since they opened they even have deliverey all the staff are friendly and outgoing even the delivery guy is so nice try it out you will be glad you did
(5)Sarahmond W.
Honestly one of the better places to eat at in Jefferson Park. The food is classic Mexican and really good. I recommend steak quesadilla!
(3)Rick F.
(5)Joan L.
(1)Jessica B.
2 stars for daily deals and price. corn tortillas tasted like they were stale and old. It appeared as if they used only the dark meat and the icky pieces of the chicken for the fajitas. not good.
(2)Rob K.
(4)Syngin A.
(1)Tori S.
(3)Juan A.
Second time here and my food was very tasty, my tacos came out hot and were very good. Recommend to anyone who is driving by.
(5)Howard L.

(4)Dani R.
(5)Ana R.
This was a great find..would definitely visit again. The guacamole was awesome!
(4)Beth N.
(4)Ed A.
(1)Lulu R.
(3)Iza K.
Good burittos! Eat here often.
(5)Lee M.
awful food , left the restaurant with the meal half eaten , just real poor quality .
(1)Jacqueline J.
(4)Mike Q.

They have awesome daily specials. I ordered on a Thursday which was 2 enchiladas and a taco with rice and beans for $5.95. Awesome price, friendly staff, and best meat in the neighborhood! I will be returning because they also serve breakfast.

Second time here and my food was very tasty, my tacos came out hot and were very good. Recommend to anyone who is driving by.
(5)Howard L.

One of my favorite Mexican places been going here since they opened they even have deliverey all the staff are friendly and outgoing even the delivery guy is so nice try it out you will be glad you did
(5)Van O.
Well I am a BIG fan of the chesse burger and frys I know a mexican restraint but its that old dinner feel, I have tried some of there spanish specials and they where good and at reasonable price.
(4)Beth N.
(4)MP C.

(5)Kristine K.
(5)Dani R.
My boyfriend called get a delivery and the person was so rude over the phone and was very annoyed so he didn't end up ordering anything from them. We've tried it before but the food is good , but pretty high priced for something I can easily make at home.

(4)Lexie V.
(4)Ed A.
(1)Lulu R.
(3)Rick F.
(5)Joan L.
(1)Jessica B.
2 stars for daily deals and price. corn tortillas tasted like they were stale and old. It appeared as if they used only the dark meat and the icky pieces of the chicken for the fajitas. not good.
(2)Rob K.
(4)Syngin A.
(1)Cindy S.
The food is always hot, service is great and the staff is so friendly And the specials are great. Cant say enough good things about 4 Hermanos!
(5)Erik R.
(3)Jacqueline J.
Love this place for cheap Mexican. Good quality. Steak tacos are delicious and the delivery is very speedy.
(4)Mike Q.
(3)Marian L.
