BOOO! ended up with stale hard old super old bread on the hot dog a long with my boyfriend. How long do they keep their food here? this location is not very good. Try another location or just eat hot dogs with a piece of cardboard. honestly the SAME THING!

I've been to this location four times. Once it was outstanding, two times it was really good, and one time it was just way off base (in a bad way). This Brown's Chicken is also a strange little location. You walk in and you get the impression that it's kind of dirty, but after you look around, you realize that it's actually pretty clean. It's just a little out-dated and worn. I remember when this place was first built and this shop was called Athens Gyros (the owner was a total psycho, but the cashier was hotter than a volcano, and the gyros were the best in the city... But I digress). The girl who usually works the front counter here at Brown's always looks so tired and haggard. I just want to go over and give her a hug every time I walk in there. She's always very sweet, pleasant, and accommodating (and cute), but she always looks like she's at the tail end of a 36 hour shift. The young man who is there every now and then to work the register is also very nice and extremely personable. So, I have no complaints about the staff except one time. There was an Indian guy who was in the back last time I was there. I think he was the cook. He seemed like he was just goofing off and talking a lot instead of cooking my meal. I could even see the other workers were a bit tired of him because he had no sense of urgency. This is the one time my chicken and fried mushrooms were horribly overcooked. The biscuits were also hard and dry. He was probably too busy talking and telling stories to pay attention to the timers, so everything was overcooked. I will definitely be back to this location despite the "Mumbai Mistake." Hopefully, it will be better next time. It would be a shame to lose this place because, aside from the "New Delhi Doofus" in the back, I can tell that the workers take their jobs seriously, really seem to appreciate customers, and they turn out some great fried chicken! Don't forget to grab some fried mushrooms, too because they're unlike any fried mushrooms you've ever had. They're awesome! Give this place a try and you'll be telling the Colonel get lost...

I wasn't sure why this place received one star. The young man at the front counter was really nice, brought our food out to us, and thanked us for coming when we left. Maybe it's because I didn't get a hot dog. LOL. We used to order Brown's all the time when I lived in Addison, and now it seems they are hard to come by. Probably related to the murders back in the 80s that was from a robbery (not at this location, I believe it was Palatine. I don't remember). That's a shame really. Because they blow Popeye's out of the park. I ordered the Leg/Thigh Combo with a side of Mushrooms (which is the BEST side) and Corn Fritters. Everything was delicious and my boyfriend even enjoyed his Combo Sandwich. The lack of the star was my boyfriend went to use the bathroom and they were out of soap. He also mentioned the drain cover was missing in the floor drain. Other than that, we received great service and delicious food.

Come here for chicken and they tell me I have to wait 12-14 minutes for chicken? How are you a chicken place and not have chicken? Popeyes chicken here we come way to be prepared for dinner at 630pm only reason why it's not a 1 star is because they have good chicken when they actually have it ready
