Went here with my mum and aunt for Mother's day and was impressed by the happy atmosphere and food. The only place I know that lets you get bacon and links. Food was tasty and generous. Great service from host to server. Great work!

Let me start this off by saying, it's IHOP. The food isn't going to change your life and it's not supposed to. With that being said, I received the best service of my life while stopping in here on my way to Chicago from Champaign. I was immediately seated, asked for my beverage and it came out as quickly as I was seated. I was treated warm and kindly by my server and my food was brought out quickly. Really decent food for a reasonable price, but the real star was my server. Though I probably won't be back, if a weird road trip takes me by again, I will for sure stop in here instead of Denny's.

For place called international house of pancakes, I found their pancakes lacking. I had a split decision breakfast so I can sample both their pancakes and French toast. I gotta say that everything I ate was below average. However, the service was friendly enough.

IHOP is a fine place to eat when you need hangover food or are looking for some kind of diner food. They frequently have Buy One, Get One Free coupons in the newspaper, so I find myself here with my mom (the coupon queen) a lot. The best things on the menu that I've tried so far is their steak omelet or the chicken florentine crepes. Both are huge and can last a person with a normal sized appetite (like me) two meals. The service at this particular location is sometimes good but most of the time, it's average. For some reason though this place is always packed. One time I sat behind an old couple that just read books over breakfast and didn't say one word to each other the whole meal. I found myself staring at them, utterly engrossed in the fact that two people go out to eat together to ignore each other. I made my husband promise that if we are an old married couple that we'll still find something to chat about over our eggs even if it's just the weather. Hey, at least this place has great people watching!

My waitress actually went home half way through my meal and left me sitting there. I had to barge into a waitress station and ask for help paying so I could leave.

Typical Ihop. Seems a little cleaner than the ones further north.

This is your average Ihop - I think most people have been to one at some point in time. They have your average breakfast choices (omlettes, pancakes of course, crepes, etc.). I have always loved their stuffed french toast (it's the best I've found). It's not healthy by any means, but it tastes good! Their healthier options are not bad either, except their egg substitutes...they are gross. Their coffee is disgusting - very bitter. The service was...ok. I wasn't really impressed. It took her forever to get to our table. Overall the prices are fair and it's in a good location. It's just a chain restaurant...nothing unique.

Normally eat IHOP for breakfast but desided to try a late lunch- definitely not the best. 5 of us are lunch and 3 had ok sandwiches but the fish and chips were served in a bowl with 6 fries and two small fish pieces, not expected for a $10 meal. I had fresh fruit for a side an it was a 2" pineapple piece, a quarter of an orange, one grape, and one wedge of honeydew. Just odd and small for lunch. Otherwise, it seemed clean and decently staffed.

Went to our local IHOP for a quick lunch after church today per the request of my 9 year old. The waitress was nice but was lacking training. She took our drink orders and poured our coffee. The coffee container was empty so she said she would bring us a fresh pot. We requested sugar (none at table) and creamer (not at table). We did not see her again until a few minutes before our meal came where at that time I reminded her of our coffee, sugar, and creamer. At this point, our original cup of coffee was cold. By the way, my son's drink was the wrong size. When our breakfast order finally came it was not complete. The waitress had to make several trips (only three orders so...) with several minutes of time lapsing between each trip making our food items cool. The only food item that was near hot was my has browns. Our pancakes were warm/cool to the point that the butter could not melt. The pancakes split in in half when our forks cut them revealing an under cooked center. The outside was hard and over cooked. The ham slices from my breakfast sampler smelled and tasted like fish as if it was grilled near or after a fish order. I still have that funky taste in my mouth as I write this review. After I paid for our meal, because I was not satisfied with our food and service (plus I only left a 10% tip), I asked to speak the manager. The cashier quickly requested the manager for me and a young lady appeared not mentioning her title, name, and just stood there until I asked her if she was the manager. I explained to her in detail our dissatisfaction with the food and service and she said she would speak to the staff and our waitress. I completely understand that IHOP is not a five start restaurant on the Magnificent Mile in downtown Chicago, but I do expect effort and good pancakes from a restaurant that is suppose to have the best pancakes. 5 star or not, one would expect not to have hours of accumulated food and garbage under the tables. Plenty of other places in our town to get pancakes!!

This place was nice for the price. Now it's close to a dive. The windows are dirty with dead insects on them and the air conditioning drips water onto your head. The staff is friendly and works hard. Management needs to step up and do some basic maintenance. If not, dim the lights so we can't see the dirt and add a pool table. Rack 'em up!
