Love Popeyes, but this location is about as bad as it gets. Went there at 10:30 on Saturday night to get something to eat. The place was packed, not a parking spot to be had. I tried going through the drive through and nobody answered, which was odd because they close at 12 and the place was busy. I eventually found a parking spot and attempted to walk in. I was turned away by one of the employees who said that it was an employee only party, then slammed the door in my face, and locked the door. There was no signs up saying they wouldn't be open during their normal business hours and were just plain rude. I wonder if the store owner knows that the employees are eating up all the product and turning away paying customers during normal business hours.

Still good chicken and sides and friendly staff. We never go inside, but, the outside is very clean and neat. We get a lot of great coupons, which makes eating here even better.

The best in my area. This place does huge volumes of chicken and its hardly ever sitting they move so much. The employee's are the same ones that I first saw when I first visited 5-6 years ago. not bad for fast food help, I guess that's why the orders are always correct. Honestly I drive out of my way about 15 Min's to get my grub here, that's how good these guys are. The holiday special coupons are always a great value. oh do me a favor and try their apple pies, they are made the way McDonald's was at one time, deep fried crunchy outside but sprinkled with a cinnamon sugar topping Mmmm..... they have the best cole slaw and red beans and rice also. This is where I get my chicken fix! Colonel who?

$2.99 Tuesdays Rock! I don't know if it's a national thing for all Popeye's locations or if it is limited to the ones that I know (Bloomingdale, West Chicago & Hanover Park), but $2.99 Tuesdays are pretty cool. You get two pieces of chicken, a side and a biscuit for $2.99. We stopped in this location yesterday even though I wasn't sure if they have this deal. I asked the girl at the counter if they had the $2.99 Tuesday Special. She didn't answer me. So, I asked again and then she started talking, but again didn't answer my question. I am not a fan of that sort of thing. Puhleeeeze, answer my question! So, I ask a third time and she says yeah. Alrighty then. We ordered our two spicy specials - one with french fries and the other with mashed potatoes and gravy. The biscuits were fresh and delicious! The chicken was fine - great flavor, but I think it had been sitting for a while. The fries had the same problem as the chicken. But, the mashed potatoes were a let down. We've ordered this same meal in West Chicago and Hanover Park and never had a problem, but this location only filled about half of the container with potatoes. My husband was a bit annoyed. I don't blame him (it's his favorite part of the meal). Anyhow, I know that it's a deal and that we are talking about franchised fast food here, but it was kinda disappointing. One more thing...this location fills your pop for you, so I don't know whether or not they will refill the cup for free, but West Chicago and Hanover Park have the pop available for you to refill yourself. I prefer that when we're eating spicy chicken. Bottom line, we really like Popeye's and we like them even more when it's a good deal.

I like comng to Popeyes but I am sure my body does not. The fried chicken and oonins rings are usually at the top of my list. But admittedly, I only eat here on a Tuesday or with a coupon. On Tuesdays, a 2 piece, biscuit with one side is $2.99. Isn't that cheap?!?! I find it quite impressive that there is a location in the burbs. The food is always hot. My only complaint is they are so concerned with the "numbers" as to the time spent in drive thru, they will ask you to drive around and park for onion rings when they frying time is 2 minutes and there is no one in line behind you. Each time, I pull around and park and within one minute of parking, the person is walking out with the food . Cool service but it does not make a lot of sense when the line is empty. The manager often works the window and he is a nice guy. He does not allow substitutions with specials. Want two drumsticks, pay regular price. I totally get I beat them with coupons and buying sale only meals, but 90% of the people who eat dark meat prefer two thighs so I laugh at the idea that anyone would see getting two shriveled up drumsticks as a perk. It is my preference, but it is less food. Anyway, I like coming here.

Beware... make sure to count your orders. It seems this place loves to short change you. Order 20 pieces... you will probably get 15-17 and this has happened many times. Either the people in the front are trying to save a buck or two or they never learned how to count.

The food here is very good. Most of us have had Popeye's before. However, I have never really experienced this bad of service. It took forever to get my simple order placed. They have way too many workers and they are all talking and bumping into each other and dropping food on the floor. My order was to go but they prepared it for eat in. No conversation or apologies either.

Fan of Popeyes chicken but this location has the worst service, I ordered a large bucket of spicy chicken and was told 5 minute wait time witch is fine but ended up waiting 20minutes. when I finally received my meal it wasn't even spicy chicken it was regular? After that point I didn't care I began to eat, my mash was cold and so was my buddy's corn. But what really pissed me off was they gave us one side of ranch dressing for 4 people, I asked the cashier if we could have a few more sauces there response was you didn't order boneless that's 25cents extra each one...like how do u expect 4 ppl to use one side of ranch?? I get sometimes ppl ask for too many sauces but I spent 40$ on chicken!!!overall terrible experience Ive never had a fast food joint hassle me for a side of sauce.

Are they famous for having meatless chicken breasts? I ordered a combo meal w/ 2 breasts, mashed potatoes & 2 biscuits. Chicken was decent but overall there wasn't much meat on the pieces of chicken I ordered, mashed potatoes were too spicy and the biscuits were good. Customer service was excellent.

Favorite fried chicken place. The Cajun fries are amazing and the biscuits are always hot and soft. The chicken is way tastier then kfc. The service is slow so that's why it gets 4/5 stars

Why am I reviewing a Popeyes? Shouldn't everyone already know what to expect of a chain fast food chicken place? In visiting this particular location a few times I've learned you never know what to expect. First off let me comment on Popeyes in general. Besides the fact that they're a fast food fried chicken place (with a name like Popeye's one might think they serve spinach) their menu changes, a lot. And changes in strange and unexpected ways. Here's a good example, do you like Chicken Tenders? Well, they've been on the menu for the entirety of the four years I've been visiting Popeyes. The bad news is, the sauces have changed. No more Delta or Honey Mustard sauce like I used to enjoy, instead it's strange flavors like buttermilk ranch and sweet heat to go with your chicken tenders. Seriously, it's quite a significant drop off in terms of the quality of the sauces to where I no longer order them. If you're like me and generally prefer Pepsi products to Coke products you'll be disappointed as in the past few years they've switched from Pepsi to Coke. These little aggravations have me visiting less and less. The next thing is the drive thru here. This particular Popeye's sports a drive thru window where you can order and pay for your food. Almost every time I've ever visited after paying at the window, I have to pull around to the front and wait for an employee to bring my food out to me. Why have a drive thru if it's a drive thru and park? It's really more of a drive in. Compared to other Popeye's I've visited over the years the food at this particular location has always stood out to me as the best, the aggravation over the changes to the menu and drive thru stand out in my mind. I am going to give this Popeye's two stars, it's cheap fast food with an ever changing menu and aggravating drive thru service.

Seriously, the only fried chicken you should eat comes from Popeye's. Yeah, it's a national chain that has its issues with consitency, but the chicken is fresh ( they don't freeze it) and the spicy batter is unbelievably good (don't get mild). I would say that on a good day the biscuits are about the best I've ever had; although, one time I went they were out of biscuits!? I mean c'mon, the place is called Popeye's Chicken and BISCUITS! Overall, a great alternative to the standard "fast food' options. Love that chicken.
