Signature Euro Deli Polskie Delikatesy

Springbrook Shopping Center,160 E Lake St,Ste B
Bloomingdale, 60108
Reviews:
This is a really nice little polish deli. They have lunch specials for 5 or 6 bucks where you get two meats and two sides of a great selection of fresh home-cooked polish food.
This place has a great selection of sausages, specialty bacon and other meats. Their desserts are really good, and really large. There is a pretty good selection of imported Polish chocolate, and if you are a chocolate fiend like me you will really enjoy this store. They do take out lunches and dinners too, so if you want some traditional, stick-to-your-ribs Polish food on the go, these guys do it right and cheap.
I really love this little delikatesy, and I do mean little. It's pretty tiny but it's cram packed with Polish favorites from the motherland. Honestly, I could care less about the packaged goods (Delicje, Pierniczki Alpejskie, Kucharek). In Chicagoland they are pretty standard in traditional American supermarket under the "Ethnic" sign. It's nice that this is local, so I do buy Eastern European essentials; however, I always come here to buy meats and cheeses from the deli counter. The deli display, like the shop, isn't all that large, but they have a decent selection and there are a couple standards I always walk away with (fresh baked White Rye Bread, Morski Cheese, Krolewski Cheese and Double Canadian Meat). I find these make some of the best sandwiches I've ever had and the price is comparable to other grocers. I'm not a huge fan of pork, but the majority of the sliced meats are ham-like and I like them all. It's nice for my fiancé and me because they don't just carry Polish items, they also have some stuff from the Balkans. We've got our eyes on a large bag of Vegeta (like Kucharek) and I believe they also had Kraš chocolates and cookies. They have tons of instant soup mixes and juices, too. My favorite is višnja, sour cherry. A typical shopping basket of ours gets filled with a loaf of bread, 2/3 lb of sliced cheese, 1/2 lb of sliced meat, a jug of juice, a candy bar, and some type of jam. This last trip only cost $15.30. Come around lunchtime for their hot meal deals. It changes up a bit but usually showcases potato pancakes, pierogi and stuffed cabbage rolls.

This is the best place for pizza, pasta and calamari. My family dines and we are always welcome by the owner. He really knows what he is doing in the kitchen when it comes to traditional Italian food. We are always happy!!!! Thank God for this place.
Due to a temporary move, we searched reviews for pizza one Saturday night in a new town. Due to lots of high reviews, we tried Pronto's. The menu was huge and even offered suggestions for the level of done-ness of the crust. We ordered a House Salad (large enough for two) and a medium, well done pizza with broccoli (yes!), tomatoes, mushrooms, onion, green peppers and tomatoes. It was insanely tasty and I will never not order pizza well done. Coupons on their website gave us a free cheese pizza which was fine, albeit boring. Price was acceptable due to the extra veggies and cook time was quick - we opted for take out. This is a great local spot in northern DuPage County and we will be back. Take my advice and order you're next pizza well done!
I ordered a double dough pizza with sausage, Italian beef and sweet peppers. The pizza was excellent, the right amount of dough complemented by plenty of ingredients, not overly cheesy (I ordered ez cheese) and the perfect amount of sauce made for a very good pie.

Very disappointed. Right down the street, and I even used their 10% grand opening discount. Ordered exactly what I regularly order from Silverlake, and not even close. It was absolutely flavorless. I find it unbelievable that people are rating it 5 stars, unless they have changed their food drastically in a matter of months.
We've stopped in several times. Food tastes very fresh and simple. No old oil flavor, and not overly salty or garlicky. The egg rolls are very plain and all I taste is cabbage, but, they are light and crispy and fresh tasting. So far very consistent quality and the people working there have been very nice.
excellent Chinese food! definitely one of the best in the area and the people are very nice which is always a plus. they have cheap lunch specials starting at $5.25 and the portion is very plentiful and won't leave you hungry.

Abashiri

SO GLAD WE WENT WITH YELP REVIEWS AND FOUND THIS PLACE. It's tucked back in a strip mall and just says "Sushi" that is visible Lake Street. Looks a little sketchy- but don't judge a book by its cover! We had been going to 8000 mile almost on auto-pilot every time we wanted sushi. BUT NOW we have options! Abashiri offers a much more intimate dining experience and a much wider array of sushi options. It is also much more authentic Japanese cuisine. Additionally, if you stuff your face with enough sushi, they will automatically roll you over to the unlimited sushi plan. Which is about $25 a person and includes UNLIMITED SUSHI. If you plan on going with the unlimited plan, might as well start and continue with the premium rolls. Staff is so friendly and attentive-definitely, highly recommend.
This place is located in a strip mall and offers All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) sushi. The sushi here is A-OK, not necessarily the best I've had, but A-OK. The food we ordered included miso soup, which was "meh". It had maybe a couple of small itty-bitty cubes of tofu and a tiny bit of seaweed, mostly liquid. Maybe it's because we came there somewhat late, and we were literally getting the bottom of the barrel. Service is slow when they aren't even that busy we were seated for about 10 minutes before we got our sushi ordering paper and pencil I do like the menu though -- each item comes with a picture and description, although the pictures can be somewhat too small to really give you a good visual of what the food item is.
The Good: I've visited twice since my last review.. Maki (roll) presentation is clean/attractive and portions are good. They haven't been heavy on the rice the last two times I've visited; ingredients are much more balanced. Ingredient quality is also decent. Oh, and it's a cute, clean space (bathrooms included). It's Japanese-owned, which I was surprised about, since all the ones I've been to have Chinese or Korean owners and/or employees. The Meh: Service is slow when they aren't even that busy (tonight at 8:30 it was 3 tables of 2-5, including ourselves). We were seated for about 10 minutes before we got our AYCE sheets, and had to ask for them. Apparently you now have to ask for the (super salty!) miso soup, too. They're stingy with wasabi and ginger, again, unless you ask. Good luck flagging down the owner('s wife?), though - she's often behind the counter and doesn't really scan the dining area. She's not very welcoming or warm, but I feel she's a teensy bit more attentive after you've been there for a bit. The pictures on the menu are a general representation (stock photos?), but we've been surprised (sometimes pleasantly, sometimes not) by some variations. This last visit we shared 6 rolls between the two of us and it was perfect. We typically get the Tempura and Fresh variety, and skip over the Hot/Cooked ones. To Sum: "A-OK": we only come here if we can't make the hour round-trip drive to a different (and $6 cheaper per person) AYCE sushi joint.

Reviews:
I'm from the DC area and go to philly for my cheesesteaks. Had the hot dog at this place and was not impressed. The Italian beef sandwich is there version of a steak and cheese or cheesesteak. Here it's marketed as award winning. Let's say it was not compared to philly or DC. The Italian beef sandwich was dry and no seasoning. In fact I was not asked if I wanted anything on the sandwich. The place is okay for a quick bite but I will stick to DC or the Philly version. Philly is definitely award winning.
Joseph was very nice and helpful. While he was changing out the garbage he took some garbage off our table and saw my mom needed more napkins (she was eating ribs) and he grabbed her wet naps too. All without us asking-- great customer service! And as always, the food was great.
Ever since Dick Portillo sold the chain, they park you every time you go through this drive-thru. Doesn't matter what you order. Seems like poor management of the kitchen. Come back, Dick! You need to show them how to run this joint.

It looks nice but when 13 of us showed up to have a couple drinks after a rehearsal dinner at the Indian lakes hotel, the manager kicked out three of the bridesmaids who did not want to drink and were just along for the ride for not having their ID's on them. He was rude and cold. They weren't even allowed to stand with us and hang out. They are all clearly over 21. It was ridiculous and unacceptable. The bartender couldn't care less that she lost all of our business. I think those people would rather sit around and not make money. Don't waste your time.
I have been here a handful of times and it's pretty cool- the karaoke is better than most karaoke places. Plus the food that u order from a nearby pizza joint has great food! Yummy..
I love this place - I have been hosting parties here for years! Talk to the manager, George, reserve an area for the size of party you're having, all for no charge. The staff is great! I always do Saturday night parties so we can take advantage of the in-house DJ and do some dancing. The crowd is mixed, which is a plus! All ages, no arrogance.

Called them on a Wednesday am for a cake Thursday evening for a kids birthday party that got changed last minute. The owner was so kind and sweet and said that he would do his best to get it done and to bring in a picture for his cake designer that afternoon. I brought him a picture, he took down the info and said 'no problem' I will attach a picture of the cake that Barb did a wonderful job on and my daughter was beyond thrilled...double points for the Reese peanut butter ice cream too ;) thank you so much for making this little girls day! It turned out beautiful and tasted fantastic!
The owner is always there to help with your ice cream needs. Good prices and ice cream! The cappuccino blasts are the best. For the kids, the ice cream cakes are the best. Good service every time, but if there is a line with people, there is a wait since there is only a couple employees helping you. Patience is a virtue! It is not like a Starbucks with lots of employees on the go. At least they make sure each customer is satisfied with their order!
How can you go wrong with ice cream?? All the flavors you could want! Yeah the price is off considering you can buy a gallon for a scoop or two.

Cugini’s Pizza

It's our favorite pizza place ever! Their pizzas are cooked to perfection and delivered piping hot. We also tried their steak sandwiches and meatball sandwich, both very good. The guy at the register probably thought I was very weird for being too overly bubbly friendly. He didn't seem to take in my friendliness. But, that's okay. I'm an acquired taste. Haha. Overall, we love ordering our pizza from them.
I have had the pizza here twice now. Both times it was excellent. I think it is better than Rosati's (and I like Rosati's quite a bit). And I didn't realize it when I ordered it, but Mondays was half priced pizza. Holy awesome! 10 dollars for an extra large! This will be one of my go-to spots in the burbs for sure.
Pretty good place, but nothing special. Just another pizza place. Pizza was OK, but then again, nothing special. The only reason why I gave Cugini's a 3 star rating is because of their staff. The staff, especially the big dude in the front desk, were somewhat rude and inconsiderate. He was on his phone texting while I walked in and didn't bother to say "hello" or "may I take your order?". Never said "thank you" or anything like that. Complete lack of manners. He just handed me the pizza and expected me to leave.... What a jag.
