Diabetics at Jamba Juice:

Eating good food at the right time can control your blood sugar, also stop you from craving wrong sort of food. Jamba Juice offers drinks in three separate sizes: 16, 24, and 32-ounce. You can choose the lowest serving size and cut down on sugars and calorie intake. If you're diabetic and concerned about the sugar intake, then you can opt for the smaller 9.5-ounce smoothies available for kids at Jamba Juice.

Foods to Avoid at Jamba Juice for Diabetics:

Diabetics are recommended to opt for smaller serving size while ordering at Jamba Juice. Also, avoid opting for creamy treats as all the smoothies offered in this category contain a load of sugars.

Keep the sugar content below 50g per meal at Jamba Juice and ensure that you don't follow it with a heavy meal. A small size regular smoothie is equivalent to a meal for everyone. Classic smoothies at Jamba Juice are also heavily loaded with sugars. Stay away from that section if you are a diabetic.

I appreciate an attempt at a more upscale dining option in the bloomingdale but come on. The soup was underseasoned broth with onions. The salad was, a salad. And my chicken entree was pounded to a pulp and pan fried with some weird, slimy coating on the outside. Additionally, I ordered a glass of wine which I never received. When I asked the server, he unapologetically said he was waiting till my entree because "that's when most people want it"; After having served my parents their drinks after being ordered. On top of that, I had no silverware, and the waiter was constantly dropping things on the table without seeming to care. Honestly I thought I was being punished somehow. I could understand an "off" night but considering that not one food option was enjoyable and the fact that our waiter truly didn't give a crap, well neither will I.

I love Jameson's and eat here often. The food is consistently good and the service is amazing. I brought my family here when they were visiting and they were all really impressed with the prices for the amount of food received. Also, it's always clean and has a great atmosphere! We usually get steaks when we come here, but stopped in for lunch one day and they also have amazing burgers!! My only critique would be the wine list - it could be a little larger but it's still adequate. Overall this place is a family favorite.

We've eaten two dinners here...once in a party of two, and once a party of three. Once was a weeknight, once was a weekend. Both times we made reservations, so we had no wait at all even though the restaurant was full. One night we had chicken noodle soup and the other was cream of chicken soup. Both were good, and the chicken noodle soup was obviously homemade. Everything was prepared properly and the steaks arrived the perfect 'Medium.' My only complaint was the quality of the filet mignon. Both nights I ordered filet mignon, and both times the meat was rather chewy and not as flavorful as it could have been. Filet mignon should be tender...this was not.

Jameson's is kind of in the gray zone between a lower-tier steakhouse (outback) and a fancy one like Morton's or Gibson's. Fills the niche pretty well even if it's not a very necessary one to fill in the first place. It's pretty central to us and a lot of our friends so we end up here regularly because we know it's going to be consistently decent. It's rarely great or awful, but certainly good enough to keep us coming back. The steaks have been cooked correctly just about every time, which a shocking number of places get wrong, and the service has always been friendly.

This was not our first trip to Jameson's at Stratford. Natalie was great, made us laugh. The food was, as always, great.

Ive had good and bad experiances here. My last visit was the worst. Me and my family went for my dads birthday and our server (I think his name was Nick) was needless to say not the bes) He brought my brother the wrong drink, sat it down and a miute later took it back from him and brought it over to a different table! How would he know if my brother drank out if yet or not?! My sister order some kind of pasta and got the wrong food! The server didnt bring her her corrected meal until we were already done with our meals. He never asked my dad if he wanted a refill on his coffee once! Considering we were one of the only tables in the place you'd think the service would of been a little better. Steak was good though as usual, considering it is a steakhouse, my dads salad seemed average, not worth the price though.

We had reservations for 6pm Thanksgiving Dinner, Thanksgiving dinner included Turkey, Stuffing {2 different kinds with nuts and without} Mashed Potatoes an Veggies Our waitress was very nice, we had drinks, an hot bread before hand' When the waitress arrived with our order she said Good news and Bad News! No more stuffing with nuts! :{, so we took the stuffing with nuts, as I look at my plate I was missing Mashed potatoes I asked where are the mashed potatoes an gravey? Oh we don't have anymore!! Really when were you going to tell us that? I asked do we get any potatoes? Oh ya u can have fries or baked we took baked we were very upset. She must have told the Manager he comes to our table an apologizes say We make everything from scratch an we cant just make mashed potatoes for 3 tables!! Really Mister?? How much does it take to mash those baked potatoes u offered us? Then he said we will give u a free desert, some pumpkin pie, I'm sorry I don't like pumpkin pie. In talking with the waitress I find out they close at 7pm, Why did u take a reservation {made at least a week in advance} for 6pm if you close at 7p. The Turkey itself was dry, we got no gravey, an the end of the barrel stuffing, All in all very disappointed. Im still craveing Turkey, mashed potatoes. an stuffing

I have been here many times, even had a shower here! But this last visit was the final straw. Our waitress was too busy playing with someones kid and just plain ignoring us. When she did come to our table.. she rushed me through ordering... didn't even get to tell her how I wanted my steak cooked because she said "wait one minute" and walked away. Our food came, and my steak was pretty much still mooing. I HATE bloody meat. My dinner was ruined.. Couldn't even bring it to her attention because she let the bus boy take care of us pretty much. I normally NEVER write bad reviews but this just had to be said. I called and spoke with a manager the next day who wanted to send me a complimentary gift card in the mail for my waste of $30...... guess what? It never came.... Jamesons get your shit together. You started off so well for a few years but this last time pissed me off. Oh and he told me "she had a bad day, you don't understand"... Yes i do, we all have terrible days but leave your personal life at home! I believe her name was Natalie.

Client Lunch Redux. Finding myself feeling a little underwhelmed after a totally humdrum lunch at Jameson's. Not that anything went particularly wrong, sometimes you just fail to be overcome by a reliable level of mediocrity. You know, it's that ever-present afflicting case of Suburban Syndrome. I'm pretty sure Olive Garden and Red Lobster are the largest contagious contributors to these persisting symptomatic woes... tasteless décor, indifferent waitstaff, substandard food. Yep, looks like you've got a inflammation of Suburbanosis, Jameson's, and it ain't going away anytime soon. Delicious warm french bread and butter aside, everything else surrounding my lunch here was definitely just a wee bit off. From my Grilled Salmon Salad (Grilled Salmon, Baby Mixed Greens, Cranberries, Goat Cheese, Roasted Walnuts, Balsamic Vinaigrette) that was positively drowning in a greasy, oily, nasty balsamic dressing, to the insanely overcooked N.Y. Strip Steak Sandwich of my dining companion's, I'd say most all things edible thus far were unfortunately coming up short. Feeling a bit dissatisfied by our choices - and still a bit hungry to boot - we agreed a last ditch effort was in order and a shared appetizer was just the thing to cure our ravenous woes. We sent our hopelessly monotone server running for a menu and when he (finally) returned 15 minutes later we were greeted by the reality that Jameson's apps consist solely of wings, potato skins, chicken strips and the dismal sounding honey chipotle crab cakes. Ew. All a bit lowbrow for a 'Charhouse', no? Take a tip from this judicious eating enthusiast: you serve goat cheese with your salads and marinara with your pasta... does bubbly Baked Goat Cheese raise any fabulous fare flags back there, Chef? It should. 2 unexciting stars.

I used to eat at the Jameson's in Mt Prospect with my parents for several years. When this location opened, I started going here. My experience at both locations has been good. I have always thought that the food is very good for the price. The steaks are very good. I can honestly say that I have never had a bad steak at either location. (And I went on my first date with my boyfriend here so that helps too!)

Good solid steak joint without the questionable meats, but nothing out of this world. The Filet kabobs and Bloomingdale salad make excellent entrees. House soups were very good too. Surprisingly a good spot for dessert...try the flourless Belgium chocolate cake with ice cream & caramel drizzle. Cheers!

One of my faves! This restaurant just never disappoints. Whether it's just me and my husband or with friends, everyone is always happy with whatever dish they order. I can't name my favorite dish, because there's a tie between 3 of them. Maybe the Chicken Marsala, which I think is one of the best I've had anywhere. The bread they bring to the table is phenomenal, we have that loaf done in 3 minutes, I swear. I actually wish I didn't like it so darn much. You also get soups and salads with your meals, not too many restaurants do that anymore. It's a nice touch that I appreciate. You really do end up getting a lot of food, and it's all wonderful. I'm a little pained to see very few 5 star reviews, I thought surely Jameson's would have a load of 5 star-ers. I'm more than a little surprised. To each their own, sure. But I can say that I have never had a bad experience here, and for me, the food has always been top-notch and on top of it's very affordable. I think this place is a gem!

The wife and I ate here because my parents adore the place and gush about it and really wanted us to try it. Well, it was a strange night of horrible/great service. We arrived a few minutes ahead our reservation time and they informed us we'd be seated shortly. We told them we would be waiting in the bar. About half an hour after our reservation time, we inquired as to why we hadn't been seated even though there were numerous empty tables. They apologized and comped our drinks. Then came meal time, where they cooked my prime rib to my wife's specifications (medium-well) and cooked her prime rib to mine (medium-rare). This wouldn't have been a big deal except that a) we ordered different sizes, and b) that was the last of the prime rib for the evening so they couldn't just go back and cook new cuts to order. They acknowledged the error before we even said a word about it, and then promptly comped us the rest our meal. So we got about $75 worth of food and drinks for free because they were having an off night. The waitress was awesome and always came around at just the right time, so at least someone in the joint had their act together. So to summarize: the hostess forgot about is, the cooking line got our steaks wrong, the management took prompt and appropriate steps to rectify, and the waitress rocked. Would we be back if we lived in the area? Probably not, because ultimately we just didn't think the food was that spectacular considering the pomp and the price point.

Had dinner there on a Saturday evening. Service was very good. I liked that the dressing was provided in an individual container so that I could put on the amount I wanted. Ordered the charbroiled chicken breast which has an herb lemon sauce. It was great - not too lemony. The other people in our party had steak, halibut and pork chops. each meal was very good. The person having the pork chops specifically commented how good they were. Our only complaint was the amount of food. Two large pork chops and three chicken breasts!! But at least we got three more meals out of it!

Steaks at Jameson's are pretty decent for the price. I had a cajun/blackened chicken sandwich that was perfectly tasty. Served with thick-cut fries and soup or salad, there was definitely too much food on the table. The salads are a bit skimpy, but I'm not sure I'd want much more given the total volume of food served. I did not try the soups, but others were enthusiastic about the lentil option. We shared an appetizer of calamari that was pretty good: a little greasy, and the portion was small (for four), but it tasted good. Servers and runners were attentive and polite, providing surprisingly fast service from drinks to table clearing. After checking in, I was surprised to see such a low rating. This place is easily a three star joint, maybe four. While there are definitely some issues raised by reviewers that need attention, such as ordering accuracy and people skills, I can't help but be amused with some of the injustices covered by other Yelpers: "...two uninspiring, premeasured plastic takeout cups of ketchup" -- Haute dining indeed; bring forth the inspirational condiments at once! One reviewer begins a complaint, "I ordered a filet well done" and later states that it was a "waste of good meat". Yes, ordering a steak well done is a complete waste. It's probably why the menu says "Not responsible for steaks ordered well-done." I'll come back, but I won't be committing a crime against humanity by asking for my steak to be cooked until it dies twice more, nor will I expect ketchup delivered by a troupe of clowns in whimsical serving vessels.

I've been to Jameson's several times and each time I leave feeling full but slighted. The only time the service has ever been decent was when we rented out a room (read: payed lots of dough) and had a full out "party". Otherwise, we have had the same problems every time: long greet times, no silent service, food takes forever, drinks take forever, *whine, whine, whine*...you'd think you'd get good service when the busboys do most of the work, but alas, you do not. The food is pretty good- I really have no complaints here. You also get a lot for the money (although who the hell needs to eat a soup AND salad before a meal?). They have daily specials too...today was Fish and Chips (WIN!) and they were really good. The "chips" were sliced fried potatoes and the fish and coleslaw were delicious. The tartar sauce was too sweet, but the rest made up for it. There is a full bar, although I only care about the beer, and that list is lacking. The whole place does have the "supper club" feel as other reviewers have stated, however, you can totally go in there rocking a hoodie and not get dirty looks either. Steak for everyone!

My family attended for Christmas Eve dinner. We were seated quickly, due to our reservation. Our server spoke broken English. She was very unprofessional, even to the point that she couldn't put a plate down without it making a large clunk against the table. The menu was extremely limited for the holiday and we were not priory made aware of such. The meals come with complimentary soup and salad, but why in the world would they only have on choice of soup. We all received cream of broccoli, it had flavor but was cold. For an appetizer, we ordered fried calamari, it tasted greasy, not well enough for the price. The size of the entrees were ridiculous! My mother order salmon, and for the price, she should have received more that 5 bites worth! I ordered Shrimp Alfredo, that flavor was delicious, but it looked like it had been sitting in a warmer, the pasta and sauce on top was completely dry. Overall, Jameson's Charhouse is completely over priced and doesn't have competent employees. I would recommend may places over this restaurant. I don't think I will be a return customer.

Wow...very rude when we HAD reservations tonight for 7 pm. The hostess was SO rude. We had reservations for 4 people and requested a table not a booth. When we got there.. No greeting and said they would be a few minutes. after 10 minutes she stated to us... Your problem is that no one is leaving...really that was " our problem" We went to Outback and had a lovely meal. If they professional acted even if there was a delay we would of stayed... never again and believe me we will tell MANY

went mid day no line to wait on. I got Steak & rice service was great, food was even better. It is a shame this place doesn't have a better rating. Too many of the bad reviews are from people that had a to wait for a table. I wish I could get a great steak cooked to perfection for $12.00 on Long Island.

Yikess! You guys are pretty harsh on this place. It kind of breaks my heart. I don't think I agree with the negative reviews. I happen to reallyyy like Jameson's Charhouse. I think it's perfect for this area because yes, there are a lot of restaurant options nearby, but an affordable family-owned steakhouse is not one of them. You really can't go wrong with any of the specials, so for newbies, I would recommend those. I usually get the Calamari for an appetizer. It is seriously some of the best Calamari I have ever had. It has decreased in portion-size, however, but still worth getting! I also get the Fillet Mignon (medium rare) and it is phenomenalll. You also get fabulous bread, soup, and salad with every meal! Everything is fresh, delicious, and very satisfying. If you find yourself in this area, I highly recommend going here!

To call the fare here mediocre would be heaping high praise on it. Let's get the good stuff over first. The wait staff worked hard to provide good service. Now the rest in order of appearance. The mixed drinks were watery. The butter for the bread loaf was tasteless. The salad dressings were the same. The onion soup had a faint taste of onion. The BBQ ribs were OK but the sauce was weak. According to my wife, the steak was "good". Many places for the same price or less with much better value.

The wife and I have been here twice. On our recent trip we had dinner. The entree came with soup and salad. We chose french onion soup and it was very good. For the entree I ordered Pan fried walleye and my wife ordered salmon. The walleye was a bit bland for my taste..I tried a little bit of the salmon and it tasted good ( a bit more charred than usual, but can't blame the charhouse for it)

Been here several times and I have always had a good experience. Steaks are perfectly cooked but you have to let you're server know exactly what you want. Ie medium well medium rare, etc.

I wanted to like this place...12 of us celebrated my friends b-day. She chose the venue because of the entertainment, a fair singer-cant' recall his name. The waitress was impatient & rude at times. Calamari, oysters rockefeller (smothered in a cloying sauce), spinach cheese dip appetizer (yummy), cajun tuna (pretty good & huge portion), rib-eye (overcooked), gummy mashed potatoes & very fresh asparagus-also came with soup ( tasteless chicken noodle)salad with house dressing-also bland. The only flavor in the key lime pie was sugar. First round of drinks was impressive-my perfect rum & coke. Subsequent drink orders were mostly ice. We enjoyed the music from 8:30 until 12 when we realized it was time to leave because the bar closed without a last call warning so we took our party up the street to a friends house. Would never go back!

started our new year's celebration with 8 fabulous friends at this location. Was completely arlight with our 7:30p reservations being 20 minutes behind (what can they do; ask people to chew faster?) Once seated, our very nice server introduced himself and took our drink orders. Our server maintained a jovial and pleasant demeanor but unfortunately, everything else went downhill. While there's no requirement which stipulates a drink must be refilled within 2 minutes of being consumed, thought it was a bit much to have to wait 15 or more minutes before obtaining refills (this is for iced-tea and water). Beer was ordered and forgotten about; server had to be reminded 15 minutes later. Butter was placed on the table but it was over 20 minutes before the bread arrived. Salads were presented but every other table seemed to be offered fresh-ground pepper except our table. Once the entree's arrrived, it was discovered that one of our diners requested her steak cooked medium. It came out rare and everything else on her plate was cold. I ordered a filet mignon without realizing until too late there were two sizes and server provided me the larger one without outlining the two different sizes. I requested my steak done medium, it was 95% rare, the broccoli cold and my potatoe undercooked and also cold (I just ate what I could and brought the rest home for the dog). The cream of chicken soup (they only offered one soup that night which was fine) was pretty much void of any rice or chicken. Because there were 10 of us, understandably, the traditional 18% gratuity was added. Again, our server was sweet and nice but the service and food was subpar. One of my friends suggested their lack of service, etc., was because it was New Years' Eve. My response was that I've gone to MANY a New Year's eve dinner and received superb food and service from much larger establishments. Will not go back to Jameson's.

My husband and I have been here a few time and it's great every time. The menu is diverse, so your only choice isn't steak. The service is top notch too. We've never had a bad experience here. This restaurant is definitely a good value. All meals come with soup and salad. The French onion soup is SO good! The mashed potatoes are heaven!! I complimented the manager on them and he gave me a to-go container full of potatoes. It was so funny!

I love Jameson's. It has become our favorite steakhouse in the burbs. The food is great and all I can say is you get soup AND salad with your meal. Bam! 4 stars. I have never had any trouble with reservations or service. Every time I have gone with my husband or with a large group of my family, the service has always been timely and excellent. The ambiance is dark and romantic highlighted by a huge fireplace in the front. The restaurant works well for both the casual and romantic night out. The last time we came, I had my 8 month old son with us, and he didn't seem a bit out of place. The only thing I can say is that they do run out of food sometimes. My last visit, I wanted lamb for my birthday and they were out. The way the waiter made it sound was as if they haven't had it for a while. If that is true, then why is it even on the menu? Aside from that, everything I have ever eaten has been delicious, especially the nice and warm bread loaf they put on your table. The drinks are good, and the dessert I still need to try.

Jameson's is great. My family has been here a few times, and we always enjoy what we order. We like to sit outside in the summer. Great patio! Our baby was throwing bread all over the floor (as kids do), and a manager came over was nice as could be. He didnt seem bothered my the mess we were making, he just came to say hello. That's great service!! I hate feeling like a lepper because our kid threw some bread on the ground. Back to Jamesons....great drinks, fair prices, and I like that entrees come with soup or salad. 5 stars.

Went here to scope it out as a potential rehearsal dinner location. I had a delightful experience: loved my meal, liked the way the place was decorated, and was impressed with the service. My fiance and his mom, who don't ever like anything, weren't impressed at all. Maybe it depends what you order? Apparently Jameson's is a chain but I've never heard of it or been to one before. I liked the warm decor and fireplaces. We were seated immediately, in a booth of our choice. Our waitress was attentive and friendly and brought out key lime cheesecake for my fiance's dad's birthday, gratis. Nice. I have to say, whoever wrote the menu isn't exactly a poet. The dishes all sound basic compared to the descriptive frills most places add. For example, I ordered "Artichoke Chicken." The description? "Three chicken breasts with artichokes in a white wine sauce." I wasn't too excited ordering, but man it was DEE-licious! And my entree was preceded by free bread, the best chicken tortellini soup I've ever had, a salad, and on top of that I got to pick a side dish for my meal. I ordered rice but when my food showed up I received a side of broccoli too. I brought home enough food for a huge dinner the next day. My fiance ordered a pasta dish with shrimp, which I'm sure was called "Shrimp Pasta" or something similar on the menu. He didn't really like it and ended up throwing away his leftovers. Fiance's mom ordered plain fettuccine Alfredo and complained it was plain. (??) Fiance's dad got the swordfish and said it was "good." Everyone loved the key lime cheesecake dessert. Overall, I like this place and would go back in a heartbeat. It's convenient, right by the mall. Service is fast and friendly. Food is modestly priced and super good (according to me). And anywhere with fireplaces automatically gets my vote :)

This is a class place. Great looking interior, great bar area, and the dining room is so cozy. Took my latest femme fatale there for dinner. Mid week dinner. Only issue I ever had with Jameson's is that the only have Prime Rib on weekends. I am sure demand is the reason for that. She knows now so I will have to return on the weekend! I opted for a special Beef Tenderloin Tips served with pasta and a very good sauce. Tips very tender. My lady opted for steak and shrimp. She is a little gal but enjoyed every last morsel. It was accompanied with a great baked potato. She does watch her figure (so do I) and she passed on the cheese encrusted tater. Salads were great. Hers was not too creamy and mine was not too garlicky (so she says). This is not Morton's nor Gibson's but the quality of the meal is very good and is not at Morton's or Gibson's prices. Love the fireplace! The menu is extensive and there were 6-7 daily specials for all tastes.

This is my bosses favorite place to eat. She is regular there, and so it goes..I kinda get a lot of Jameson's. The building is very clean, and there is always plenty of parking. It is a located in the parking lot of Stratford mall, and is a stand alone building. The soups here are always very good, as well as the Asian Salad. I have also had the turkey club, and a burger and both have never been anything I would send back. They serve a nice bread with your meal and have a fully stocked bar. Nothing has every really knocked my socks off here...but nothing has ever done me wrong. The prices are little steep, but I would expect that from the appearance. The service is friendly, and the environment warm and inviting. I will be going again soon.

We went here with my parents to celebrate our second anniversary. It was the 4th of July so lunch wasn't too busy. Our server was attentive and was nice. I ordered the London Broil, which its not your typical London Broil. They give you two medallions, probably three inches wide so prob three to four ounces. Normally london broil are usually sliced. Juicy pieces. All meals came with soup and salad. My wife ordered the chicken kabob. Her chicken was tender and cooked right. Overall it was a good experience and we will return.

This place is great. Seafood, chicken, and of course steak are all delicious. Food is really worth the wait. The service is hit or miss. Drinks are often not refilled in a timely manner, especially when they're busy. We once had the air conditioning above us start leaking on our table, and the server was confused why we wanted to move tables. But most of the time the servers are very good. The bad ones just seem to stick out more.

For the first time in, well, life, I was served a burger that tasted flavorless and dry. Maybe the chef was just having an off day? Regardless, I was turned off to this restaurant and probably won't go back.

Just had dinner here 30 mins ago. What a nightmare. My steak over cooked and chewy. My son had eaten 1/2 of his burger and then found a hair on the plate, ending his appetite. We asked for the check to leave quickly before waitress could disappear on us again and found it was taken care of my the manager. I don't have a problem paying for my meal but when I go out to eat at a steakhouse the food should be good. I have a gift card for Jameson's but I think I will just throw it out as I'm not coming back here again. No wonder the place sat us quickly.

I've been there many times and as usual, it was Great. Soup and salad, veg, and enough food for two meals. One of the few places that doesn't rip you off for a glass of wine either(5.50). Will continue to frequent this establishment.

Our FAVE steakhouse! This is our go-to special occasion place, and we've been there several times. The Bloomingdale location is especially beautiful as it was built less than 5 years ago. Service has always been excellent and friendly, in our experience. Steaks and fish always well made and perfectly done as we requested. A good value, too, considering the menu and very nice atmosphere.

I only tried this place once. I had ordered the pan seared swordfish, it also my first time eating swordfish. The swordfish was okay, I just wasn't used to eating such a thick cut of fish. I was cut off guard by the center, it was like medium done, so it had slight gelatinous texture. I also tried the pasta fettuccine shrimp, it was good. I also tried the rib eye steak it was perfect. Wow, the price you pay you get a lot of food. I also loved the Riesling wine that was recommended to me. I definitely will be going back, there's so much more to try. I'll be posting more when I get a chance to try a new dish.

I love, love, love Jameson's. Always have. Rehearsal dinner was here and I wasn't thrilled about the main course (chicken Marsala, beef Marsala) but the others were great. This was my only experience at this Jameson's though.

Jameson's is located in a hidden spot off Schick Road at Stratford Square Mall. It is one of 3 locations including Arlington Heights and Mt. Prospect. This one is very similar to the other 2 and gets very busy during prime hours on the weekends. The parking can be a pain on occassion but being at Stratford Square Mall, there is parking nearby if the lot fills up. I would NEVER call Jameson's a Steakhouse. It isn't nor does it try to be. It has decent steaks but it's more of a crowd pleaser menu. There is tons on it. I can get a burger, sandwich, salad, pasta or something from the grill (steak, chops, fish, chicken). I enjoy the restaurant for it's good bar and well made drinks as well as being able to please so many people with it's diverse menu. It's a perfect business lunch/dinner spot as well as a family spot. The one time my burger came out over-done, the manager brought me out another one and bought us dessert as well. Always a nice touch. Service isn't bad and pricing is middle of the road. It's definately not an Applebee's in pricing, but you get better quality than the chains. Jameson's has a huge following of loyal fans for a reason. Give it a try but don't expect Morton's Steakhouse service or quality.

My husband likes Jameson's, but every time we come here, we get bad service and sub par food. It starts with "Hi! How many?" (Not "thank you for coming to Jameson's", but "I cannot count" - what a way to start the night...). It was a beautiful evening, and we wanted to dine outside. Nope - could not do that - there were not enough servers! Wow - what a way to push away business. The waitress greeted us quickly and took our drink order. However, I asked for a wedge of lime instead of a little chunk in my cocktail. She told me that the bar is too busy to slice a lime and that she could not ask. Wow, what a way to push business away. The smelts appetizer were good, but again, I asked for no tartar sauce, but a halved lemon - she could not accommodate us there, either. I think this place has a stringent policy regarding citrus fruit! I had the walleye and he, the chopped steak with blue cheese. It was good. The price was comparable to Dover Straits. The place is always too cold and the good seats during winter are near the fireplace, but only for larger parties. I keep saying I do not want to go back - but he keeps taking me there, so now I am having my say. If you have a choice, do not sit in the booth that backs up to the section the busboys use; I sat there before and got a buspan pushed onto my head - that was one experience I will not soon forget! Problem was I was recovering from chemo and had no hair to protect my head - what a shocker with a cold pan. And, I didn't even get an apology! Oh, well...

We went here last night for my boyfriend's birthday, as it was the only place we could get in anywhere around 7pm. We knew it would be crowded, but still hoped to have somewhat of a romantic evening. Things started off okay, except maybe for the somewhat rude and aloof man with the menus herding people around in the entryway. We were seated in a nice booth, facing the crowd. Sadly, about half way through our meal, they changed a table for 4 into a table of 6 in an already overly crowded room, and within minutes our table was almost combined with theirs. I guess they try to just jam everyone in and not worry about the comfort of the guests. They were so close, I could hear them talking better than my boyfriend. On top of that, the wait staff continually pushed themselves between the two tables, knocking and rocking our table. That got old very quickly. If your gluten free like I am (not by choice), then this might not be the place for you. Not one appetizer is gluten free. Not one dessert is gluten free. Entrees come with soup and salad. Not one soup was gluten free. Nothing else was suggested or recommended as a replacement for me. The server had the kitchen leave the seasoning off my steak as she thought it had gluten in it. Many of the entrees also contain gluten. The food was okay. I had a rib eye which had very little flavor, possibly due to the lack of seasoning. The boyfriend had the rack of lamb which he loved. He said his soup was cold. He had carrot cake that he liked. Another point about this place is that if you are any kind of wine drinker, you will not be pleased here. To put it bluntly their wine list sucks! Not one decent wine. Service was pretty good. Our server was a very sweet young girl, seemingly new to the restaurant. She seemed to have no idea what to do with someone who was "gluten free"... All in all, not a bad place but not great either. It is inexpensive compared to other steakhouses. But, like they say, you get what you pay for!

Liked it. Didn't love it. Food was average but good, but nothing was exceedingly great. I've been there a few times...they have a nice atmosphere, the staff is okay, but something is missing...you know, that one thing they do better than anyone else/that has never been done/that which has never been duplicated...maybe they'll find it in the future.

Atmosphere was nice, but service and food were poor, totally not worth the price. My date and I went there for steak and seafood. We had their steak, the texture and preparation was good, but taste was blah, boring. The waitress recommended the halibut, I was very dissatisfied.. The spices were not well balanced, the rice tasted like it came from a box.

I was in town and having lunch with my friend and since she was getting pics done at Stratford, she chose this place for lunch. Otherwise, I would not have chosen this place because chains, in my opinion, suck. When you walk in you're greeted by friendly people. The decor isn't too bad and when you're seated you get a nice loaf of bread with butter to munch on. I ordered the portobello sandwich because it was a Friday during Lent and it came with New England clam chowder. The chowder was s joke. You don't have to be from New England like me to realize bad soup. The soup was very bland, the potatoes seemed over-cooked, and the broth was very watery. My sandwich was ok, the goat cheese seemed to have over-powered the portobello. My biggest peeve were the fries that this sandwich came with. For a place like this with the cloth napkins and over-priced meals...you would expect the fries to be fresh. THEY WERE FROZEN!!!!!! If you like sub-par food where people like to take short cuts like serve you frozen stuff....this place is perfect for you.

Went to this suburban restaurant-chain-clone last Saturday, not by choice, but for a birthday party. It's alright if you like a cookie-cutterl whitebread suburban-esque setting. But, I'll give it that Jameson's is definitely a step above your Chili's/Flinger's/Chotsky's Extreme Fajitas Office Space chow and atmosphere; and the prices aren't too high. They even have a fireplace! Wow! The tilapia with asparagus was decent. The Chicken Tortolini soup was pretty good. The Fetuccini Alfredo was, uh, bountiful. Like most American restaurants that serve enormous portions, you won't leave hungry. With so many great restaurants in Chicago, I doubt I'd go back. Anyways, I am now bored thinking about cookie-cutter suburban restaurants, so...I'll just go watch Jerry Springer and eat some White Castles topped with a couple of Taco Supremes and Pizza Shooters with honey mustard sauce...America seems to like honey mustard...

I met the parents last night and they chose Jameson's Charhouse as either my first or last meal :) The prices seemed steep so I was trying to order something on the lower end since I wasn't sure who was going to be paying and didn't want to order something really expensive and not pay for myself. One of the specials was stuffed scallops with crab meat and spinach. The scallops were a little extra fishy, but still really good. I got the baked potato with them, a salad, and chicken noodle soup. The soup was the best part in my opinion. It was so good. And the noodles are easy for date soup since the noodles are short ones instead of the kind that slap you in the face. We didn't have room for dessert but the menu looked seriously tasty. I'd recommend trying this place out. Eventhough the prices look high, you get several courses which evens it out.

Jameson's ran out of the 7oz. Filet and the Prime Sirloin on Valentine's Day. Steaks were a little dry but really good cream of Broccoli soup. Slow service even at 8:00. Seemed a bit overwhelmed on Valentine's Day.

When this placed first opened up, I could not say enough good things about. the food and service. It was one of the better restaurants in Bloomingdale. Food was consistently good, and it rated higher than their other locations amongst many people. A friend of mine who recently took me to a lovely restaurant in Oak Brook Terrace called Volare. The meal and service was superb. I wanted to reciprocate, and since I know he likes lamb and I have had the Greek lamb chops here several times and they were very good. I thought this would be a good dinning experience. I had not been here for about 8 months and can only say our dinning experience was awful. We got to the restaurant about 4-4:30 pm on Tuesday so they were not busy. The soup tasted like it came out of a can..chicken noodle. The lettuce on our salads was turning brown. The radicchio on mine had not been cleaned properly. There was actually dirt on the bottom of the leaf. We both ordered the rack of lamb chops Greek style. My guests side was suppose to be mixed vegetables. My side was a baked potato and I requested extra sour cream. They both came with a portion of broccoli. Needless to say my guest never got his side of mixed vegetables, instead the waitress gave him rice. Both of our broccoli was already breaking down and turning yellow. I was so disappointed to see that they served it to us anyway. I never got the extra sour cream. The lamp chops were so so. We left hungry and very disappointed with a tab of around $84.00 not including tip. I sent an e-mail to their website and explained the terrible experience we had...and still no response. I understand that with the economy restaurants cut back on portions, but obviously they should not on quality or service. They have not maintained their consistency when they first opened up, and that is the key to a successful restaurant maintaining longevity in the business.

So, this is my first time going to Jameson's, my sister recommended it for our family Easter dinner, now where to begin. First off we made reservations weeks ago for 14 people at 2pm, at 215 the greeter asked us if 2 tables would be OK, why would that be OK for an Easter dinner, we wanted to sit together, so after another 20 minutes we are finally seated at 2 round tables pushed together, not the best but workable, so we are almost 40 min after our reservation. Now for the food portion of our show. First off we were brought bread and butter, not to bad but the bread was very chewy. Next our waitress announces that the only soup choice we have is for cream of rice and that she will bring it and we could eat it or not, wow nice to have no say in what I get to eat, how do you not have more than one soup, not even the french onion on the menu, and to be told that I had no choice in a less than friendly voice. Sooooo soup comes out after 10 more minutes, not horrible though it was more cream than rice. Another 15 minutes brings out the salad, kind of small and mostly lettuce, except for 1 small tomato. Finally for the best part, I ordered their signature cut 28oz black Angus rib-eye, med rare. When the steak finally comes out it is much less than the aforementioned 28oz. (I grill all the and a 1" thick rib-eye weighs much less than 28oz) it's cooked almost well, just a hint of pink, and it was tough. Told our less than charming waitress about it, said she would bring another. Then a manager comes over and explains to me that they cannot cook a thin (huh 280z) steak on the grill so they will have to broil it. Are you kidding me? A "Charhouse" that can't cook a steak med rare, what is that all about, if I wanted a broiled steak I would go to Chili's. the second steak comes out, it was bigger than the first, unfortunately it was a new york strip, not a rib-eye, whatever, everyone else is almost done eating so I said what the heck and ate it, and it was still tough and had little flavor. Now it's time to pay, i notice that there is an extra coke on the bill and for some reason the total of $111.34 plus $20 tip added up to $311.34 someone can't do simple math. I brought both things to the waitresses attention, she took my cash and the check said she'd fix it. My wife made a comment to the waitress that it's OK it was a long day, to which she responded "what do you know, I have to be here till 10:30" my wife was trying to be nice and she was a total B****. Oh and she never came with my change. I will never go to a Jameson's again, bad food and bad service are a deadly combination.

Each time I've been here I've enjoyed the food and have never been disappointed with the service either. It is one of the few places I've found that actually serves soup AND salad with your meal, not to mention a warm loaf of bread and butter. Tonight we were there and mentioned to our waiter we were celebrating our anniversary. When we finished our meal he came to our table with a small cheesecake for my husband and I, and a chocolate sundae for our son! It was a pleasant (and delicious!) surprise to end our evening. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable, the wait service is friendly, and the food is great. I highly recommend it.

This restaurant is part of the Jameson's chain. If you visited one of the other locations, this is just more of the same. The ambiance is nearly the same as the location in Mt. Prospect. I'll go as far as saying this place is an exact clone. I visited this place with a few friends. We were seated in a nice booth in a very loud area and handed some crappy folded paper menus. We placed our order, and after a half hour wait we were served room temperature soups (on the day we visited, the soup choices were chicken noodle and New England Clam chowder). Our coffee was warm upon delivery, but subsequent refill was ice cold and was another 20 minute wait. We ended up getting burgers, mostly because it was the most affordable choice on the menu. The burgers were ok, but not memorable. For $10 each we could have gone to The Assembly, Village Squire, or many other places and had a significantly better meal. The fries were at best pure crap, and came with two uninspiring, premeasured plastic takeout cups of ketchup. Our server was ok, but not great. Apparently, a our table was ignored because we weren't a big enough tip for her. As previously stated, it took a long time to be served COLD soup, and over 20 minutes to get refills on our cups of coffee, and we were served the ice cold remnants of the pot. There is no excuse for service like this. Overall, we are not impressed, nor are we planning to ever return. When we hear Jameson's we think whiskey not this sorry excuse of a restaurant.

This has become our go-to place for a quick couples night out. I love the supper club feel to it. When you walk in, there's a nice big fireplace. The bar has a warm feel to it and the same bartenders have worked there since it opened. Wine list is good and martinis are good. They are generous with their pours and are known for giving the 3rd drink on the house (maybe cuz we go often?). We often go just for the bar and have an appetizer or light meal at the bar. All meals come with fresh bread, soup and salad. I find the soups boring and the vinaigrette boring but the meals are fantastic. Our favorite is the nut crusted halibut. My hubby typically has a big steak and it's always done perfectly. The calimari is also wonderful. We'll often order an appetizer and split a meal (he eats the soup, i eat the salad and we share the steak). they've never hassled us or charged us extra. On weekends they have a musician that's fun to listen to and you'll often see people dancing.

Met up with some friends who I hadn't seen in years. One of them suggested we meet there. I had come in from out of town and had never been there. We got seated for dinner in the bar area. Bad move! It was really loud and there was this guy who I thought was hosting karaoke and singing, but he just made my ears hurt! He sang the whole time we were there except for when he took a 5 minute break. I was trying to enjoy my food and my tiramisu martini, which was pretty good, and my friends' company, but we were needing to yell across our small table! They had brought bread and butter right away to the table. We ordered the fried calamari which also was brought out quickly. Calamari was super tender and yummy! Our dinners, however, took a really long time. We were busy chitchatting with friends and made the time go by, but our dishes took forever! I think they were still catching the salmon we ordered! Had the Bloomingdale salad with salmon. Good, but nothing extraordinary. Service was also good.

Went there for a (rare) date night with my husband. The server, Stephanie, was too busy flirting with the bartender to bother with things like drink refills or whether our food was okay. The soup took 10 minutes to come out and the salad took another 20 minutes. This was with a half-full restaurant. My fillet was the most boring piece of meat I've ever had, and the mashed potatoes tasted like they came out of a box of flakes. The shrimp were just...there. No flavor, no point. I was insulted they charged what they did. It ruined the rest of the night; we were supposed to catch a movie that we missed thanks to dinner taking more than 1.5 hours. We don't get to go out often, and resent it when a restaurant staff screws up the experience.

I believe our servers name was Kristina, wow was the service bad. We never got our appetizer (spinach & artichoke dip), I received broccoli instead of the asparagus I ordered. I was never offered a 2nd glass of wine or checked on after we got our food. And I had to request butter for my baked potato. I ordered my steak med to med well. It was unseasoned and I felt well done. It was my 2nd time there and it left a bad taste in my mouth.

I have never had an issue with steak here. Satisfied with my meal today. The service is hit or miss, depending on who you get. Today we had someone at the end of his shift who was not very attentive and at 3:00pm, the restaurant wasn't even forty percent full.

I'd say that this restaurant is about average for steakhouses. We've been there a couple times, and each time my food has been a little too salty. I've also had the oysters rockefeller and crab cakes, which were average. Service was OK, but not as attentive as other steak houses I've been to. If you're nearby and feel like steak, you might want to check it out, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go there to eat.

Made a reservation for my 50th birthday. I explained that it was a special occasion and could they put us at a nice table. We were seated at a booth in the corner that was very tight and uncomfortable. Not to mention we were seated next to a very large and loud group. The calamari appetizer was awful. The calamari was huge and rubbery and some hard. Had to ask for water and refills. After ordering the prime sirloin my husband was told they were out of all sirloin. No apology. This is a steakhouse! We started with soup and thought maybe we would get bread or crackers, but sadly no. Although other tables had bread. After asking then our waitress brought us some. The main dish was good enough, but nothing special. At this point we might still have tried again. But then after we received our main course Ursala our waitress left for the evening and told us another waitress would be replacing her. It was much too expensive for the service we received.

Steaks are OK, not the best but not too bad. I would rate this place one notch above an Outback. They try to impress by the decor but the food is not at that level. Very loud and noisy for sure....

This place was the worst- and I mean WORST- place I have ever been to. We had reservations for 10 on Mothers Day. They squished us between 4 other gigantic parties, but that's understandable considering everybody and their mother (rimshot) was looking for a table here. However, from the minute our waitress arrived, we had problems. She was rude...from the get-go. We had viewed the menu online beforehand so we would have an idea of what we wanted. TOO BAD; there was a special menu and you couldn't order from the regular menu. This means jacked up prices for unappealing food. When we asked the waitress about it, she snapped at us. Great. Then, when we asked for salad dressing on the side, she actually said, "It's always on the side; have you ever BEEN here before? It's ALWAYS on the side." Okay, lady, I'm sorry I don't remember the policy at every restaurant I've been to. That's how the how lunch went, with a constant back-and-forth with this rude lady. She didn't like my side of the table because we asked questions, so while everyone else in my party was getting copious refills and attention, I had an empty ginger ale glass for my ENTIRE MEAL. We didn't get to pick which soup we wanted; there was only one, which was unfortunate. Then we waited 45 minutes for our meal, to have it arrive and have problems with that as well. Again, my side of the table got the shaft. My chicken marsala was cold. Not room temp, but COLD. My cousin's pizza (she's 4, by the way) was EVEN COLDER. Ice cold pizza for a little girl? Are you kidding? I refused to eat my chicken, but we sent back the pizza and the waitress was rude about that! "It's cold? VERY cold or just kind of cold? Fine." grabbed it and left, in the middle of my aunt's sentence. OKAY. Then she apologized profusely to my grandfather (the man holding the money) but about 30 minutes later. It's very unfortunate that she got 18% of our check, because believe me, the only tip she deserved was "get a different job." I know it's busy on Mother's Day; I get that. I worked retail at the mall during the holidays, and I understand insanity at your job. But there is no need to be flat-out RUDE to people who are just asking questions like "Can I get that without the sauce." Give me a break. Jamesons honestly was the worst experience I've had. The food was freezing, and even if you choked it down, it was unappealing and gross. The service was even worse. The prices? Unbelievably high for the quality. Do yourself a favor and just walk the other way and go to Red Robin or something. This place is awful and doesn't deserve anyone's business.

My husband and I went there for the first time and were pleasantly surprised. Server greeted us right away and brought over our yummy martinis! Food was very good. We each had the specials, a tiliapia with crabmeat topping (yum!) and 2-4oz filets. Couple of things they need to do...make sure the servers can properly describe steak temps. Our server was very nice and prompt but seemed unsure of what the temps were like. I told her I was looking for a bit of red in mine and it was just pink. Still good though. The other thing I found odd in such a customer service oriented world these days is that my two petite filets came with a choice of two different crusts, I wanted one of each and the server told me that I couldn't do this that the chefs "don't like it". BIG no-no in a restaurant business in this economy. Otherwise, the food was great, service was good, prices were very reasonable and we liked the atmosphere a lot. We would go back again.

After further review...I would pass on this location. We eat at the Jameson's in Arlington Heights regularly because it is consistently good. The Bloomingdale location has been consistently bad. Four attempts with similar results...unnecessary wait times to be seated, disinterested staff, blah "lukewarm" food, ...probably will never see me again.

6-2-08 Horrendous experience! Rude, pushy, inattentive and poorly trained staff. We were celebrating my mothers 75th birthday. Of course, we wanted it to be special. Staff was way too into upselling appetizers and drinks. We told her the first time we didn't want appetizers and she asked two more times times. One no to appetizers should have been ENOUGH. Kept asking if we wanted more drinks, drinks, drinks. It was ridiculous; clearly upselling to raise the tab. Slow, slow service. Could care less unless you kept the cocktails coming to the table. When I asked her to please speed up the evening she argued with me saying some of us ordered things well done and thats why it was taking longer. 2 1/2 hours later, we couldn't wait to get out of there. Further, most restaurants will bring out a little dessert for the guest of honor celebrating a special occasion. Nothing. Waitress never even asked us if we wanted coffee and never brought out as much as a scoop of ice cream to celebrate her night.. Additionally, she had the nerve to write on the receipt that if we wanted to leave an 18% tip it would be $36. If we wanted to leave a 20% tip it would be X dollars more. The nerve. Who does this. She was weird. Food was just okay. Hostess was haggy looking, also inattentive. Bad first impression there as well. My meal tasted like a salt lick. Rice tasted like it was out of a package of Lipton mix. Bagged salad. Absolutelyl horrendous evening. There's more to tell but I just have to quit. Skip this place. Please.

I have been to other restuarants in this chain and have had much better service. My husband likes to go there, as do I, because they do have excellent calamari, but we have repeatedly had a the same experience with the waiters and waitresses....when you are about to order soup and are on the fence about the baked french onion, they say, "Well the french onion is an extra charge no matter what so i will box up your soup (and/or salad) so you still have it." Then when you leave......NOTHING! It is really starting to drive me crazy. Also, don't excpect a good martini, b/c your waitor/waitress makes it -- not the bartender. Who does that?

Jameson's is a great place to get a steak and not break the bank. We went last night - I had New York strip and my wife had London broil. Both were fantastic. My steak was tender and cooked perfectly - the sides were also fairly good. We got out of there for less than $60 which included a couple glasses of wine - I have spent more for far worse food elsewhere. The only issue with Jameson's is the service. It's bad. Our waiter was nowhere to be found when we sat down and we had to wait about 10 -15 mins for a class of water. I don't know if the guy was in over his head - it was crowded - but it was bad for the rest of the meal. Still gets four stars because we didn't let it ruin our dinner - which was awesome. Hope to go again - perhaps on a different night than Saturday when it's less busy.

Tomato barley soup was outstanding. Service by Stacy was A+. I enjoyed my burger. It's not knock your socks off food but it's better than major chain restaurants such as outback.

They know how to take a reservation, they just don't know you to execute holding the reservation. I called the day before and made a reservation for 6:30 PM for a party of six. We arrived a few minutes early and was told table should be ready in 10 minutes. Well, unfortunately, that 10 minutes turned into 50 minutes and not a single apology or acknowledgment of the fact that they were seating their 6:30 reservation at 7:20. I was shocked and completely disgusted by their lack of regard for customers. The server was very nice and did a good job quickly taking our order. The food quality was below average; our steaks were over cooked and seemed to have no seasoning. The wine, soup, and bread were very good. I won't be going back and suggest that when you make a reservation, ask the person taking the reservation how likely you are to be seated at the time of your reservation.

Food is decent but the service here is bad. I feel like they just pluck random people off the sidewalk and don't train to provide proper service at all. For example, today our waitress didn't even greet us - came straight up and asked what we wanted for drinks and didn't come back to our table even once to check on us. We had to wave her down three separate times. Last time another waitress spilled water all over our table and on my lap and didn't even apologize. Really... for the type of restaurant it is they don't do a good job. Lower-end restaurants provide much better service. Food is a 3.5 and service is a 2.

Came in for dinner on a Wednesday night-place was busy but not crazy-we got seated right away. The service is terrible-waited 20 minutes for a drink order- Got the drinks-server seemed flustered. Then he took off-waited another 20 minutes-in the meantime a table of 7 men were seated on the other side of us. Next we get a new server. Nice guy. Ordered our food-got our soups and fried calamari. Waiting waiting waiting-the table of 7 got their meals before we did!! Ours finally came out-you could tell the baked potato was sitting under the heat lamp for a while because the cheese was hardened. We told the guy right away for to go boxes-waiting over an hour for dinner was nuts-got there at 715p and we walking out close to 10p-food was average at best-overpriced-and service needs to step it up! Don't think we will go back-

We came in without a reservation and the place was packed on a Monday night. Our server was pressed. Really pressed. Took forever to get our order and then the crab cakes came out after the entrée. But our server made up for it. Great guy, obviously busy but took the crab cakes off the bill to ease our pain. Dinner was good and I love the open kitchen. For me, I want to see people cook. We will go back again and maybe have a steak. This is a major statement as my steaks are the best :)

food is ok, but I have had much better before. Menu is way too big and having all this food in stock means it can't be that fresh. Some items are over priced.

Let me start by saying that the food their gets 5 stars. I have never once had a bad experience when it comes to food. The steaks are aged and cooked to perfection 9 out of 10 times. They definitely meet my expectaions. My favorite is their giant 28 oz bone in ribeye. Filled with tenderness and juiciness. You definitely get a lot for your money with any of your meals. First they bring you a soup with is very good. I havent had a bad soup there. Then they brin you a salad. Again. Very simple but still very fresh crispy cold veggies. Just how I like my salad. I get thousand island dressing which is good from here, and I then sprinkle some fresh ground pepper that they have at each table. I love their calamari appetizer but unfortunately almost TB never order it because they give you so much food and I get almost full just off of the fresh warm bread they keep bringing u....I love that stuff. Why do I give this place 4 stars out of 5 if im so nuts about their food? Price? No. I expect to pay what I pay there. Its not cheap but not pricey...atmosphere? Nu uh. Place is really nice and spacious. Always clean and well maintained. Beer selection? Nope. Anyone that knows me knows im a craft beer kind of guy but when im here, I cant get anything other than a nice big glass of merlot to go with my steak....my reason for it is because of the mediocre service. Its not horrible but at the same time, I have never once been impressed. The servers all act kind of snobby and if you look around, not one server has a smile on their face. Always serious and act like im doing them a favor by being there. The hostesses at the front that greet u even dont have much of a friendly welcoming attitude. Sure most of those girls at the front are easy on the eyes but ill take an ugly nice girl over a cute snob in the service industry any day. Even management is not so great with personality, also acting like they can take u or leave u being there. As if it makes no difference to them that your there. I once had a HORRIBLE experience with a manager at the Mount Prospect location on an easter sunday. He was rude to about 4 different families while I was there as well....now some people would say, "maybe he was having a bad day"...well ive been in the restaurant business and customer sevice industry my WHOLE life and you cannot have a bad day in this type of work. under any circumstances. Keep urself at home or working in the back if thats the case. Anyway, I dont go to that location anymore even though I live 8 minutes from there. I now drive out to the bloomingdale location which is further but like I said I go for the food. Not the service. While I have not had a bad experience there in Bloomingdale, I have not ever had great service either. Overall, this place is winner in my book. I just wish they would make a few changes in hospitality.

My experience here was strictly for the wedding shower I was at, but that was a fabulous experience in itself. They have a private room in back that is gorgeously decorated and rustic. It was a great temperature, which is really nice for someone who is perpetually cold! We were given a card with three options on it for lunch--salmon, a filet mignon skewer, and a chicken. I chose the chicken, and they were sweet enough to offer chicken fingers and fries to my daughter. My food was good--the chicken had a really good sauce on it, and the roasted red potatoes it came with were really good, too! the waiters and waitresses were top notch, though! They were always coming around seeing if anybody needed anything (refills, condiments, etc.). I was really impressed. I would love to come for dinner and see how the one-on-one service is!

I went to Jameson's with my family last night to celebrate my birthday. I picked it because I have been there before and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Most people in my party of 6 were disappointed with their meals and our service was terribly slow. The waitress was not very friendly and it seemed like she took her time clearing our soup and salad dishes. The restaurant was fairly empty so I can't use the excuse that she was busy. My boyfriend ordered prime rib medium rare and it was so overcooked he said it tasted like pork chops. I received a piece of tiramisu as a birthday treat with one candle in it on a small plate that had just been pulled from the fridge. On our way out, we saw another birthday dish that was full sized and had "happy birthday" written in strawberry syrup on the plate. I left feeling pretty bummed I chose Jameson's for a special occasion because nothing about the experience was special.

Went here last week for a double birthday celebration. I love the fact that it is so huge and homey. I found myself melting into the chair, while engaging in conversation. The waitress was extremely attentive and was right on top of our orders. The meals were timed well, and everything was served and taken away like clockwork. As for the food, it was average. The cream of broccoli was full of a lot more cream than broccoli and my fish was overcooked. On the bright side?? There was so much food! I opted to eat the half of everything because I knew there was no way I was going to even come close to finishing.

Great service, the food was good but the steak wasn't prepared the way I asked. It took over an hour after we placed our order to receive our main course but it's a holiday so it's understandable.

Three of us ate here. I had the filet, and the other two had the ginormous t-bone steaks with parmesan crust and bleu cheese crust, respectively. My filet was delicious and cooked the way I like it. The waiter was a pro. He had an odd personality, but it worked in his favor. He made our party laugh, and when he brought our steak knives out to us after ordering, he called them our weapons. It sounded clever, but then two minutes later I heard him say the same clever things to the table behind us. That was a "pull the mask off" moment for me. But he was still a good waiter with an odd personality. TLDR: Good food, good service.

Sat outside. We were there 30 minutes before getting our drinks. Sat another 45 minutes before our appetizer came. Crab cakes had nearly zero crab and stuffed with way too many veggies. Our actual meal came 55 minutes after the appitizer came. (And we waited there with two YOUNG kids which was seriously not easy) My husband ordered his steak medium rare and it was well done and he couldn't eat it. He said it was like leather. My bass was overly salty and overly cooked also. The manager offered a new steak but we just wanted to go and declined. We were really trying hard not to be that icky complaining couple. They offered dessert and we also refused. Just wanting to go home at that point. The waitress removed the steak from the bill but we tipped extra high just to pay the difference since we didn't ask for that. The lack of care to our table sucked and the food sucked. I give two stars for them trying to make up for it. About 3 hours we were there when we planned on 1 1/2 tops. I'd save your money. AND TIME!

*Rating strictly on customer service, primarily from their administrative staff!* I wrote in to them via their Contact Us portion of their website to inquire about pricing on their small and large party rooms in hopes to hold my mother's retirement party there. That was two days ago and I still have not received a response. I work two jobs and manage a small business and still find a way to get back to customers within 24 hours so I feel like there is no excuse. Today I wrote in again only because my mother REALLY likes this place and would be beyond happy if I surprised her with a party here, but if they can't return a simple email I'm not sure I would trust them with entertaining my guests. I'll update with the outcome!

This once was our favorite steakhouse but it has lost any appeal it had. The service was poor; incorrect sides and drinks brought to the table, overcooked steak and just generally blah food. The salad came as a small dish of mixed greens with 1 small cherry tomato and dressing in a plastic cup on the side. I expect that from Chili's but not a supposed upscale steakhouse. Sorry Jameson's you've gone cheap.

Went here to celebrate an early birthday. It's not very often you find places anymore that serve soup and salad with your entrees. Definitely a supper club vibe to it. The clientele confirms it. The soups were a choice of chicken noodle, French onion and clam chowder. Had a split of French onion and chicken noodle at the table. French onion was very good. Chicken noodle not so much. Salads were basic - garlic dressing was good. Vinagrette was boring. We had chicken marsala, chicken with artichokes and grilled salmon. The grilled salmon was cooked perfectly anf flavorful. The chicken Marsala was better than average with a good sweet sauce. The chicken artichoke dish had a good sauce but the artichokes added nothing to the dish. The double baked potatoes were tasteless and overcooked. Overall a good meal- certainly more expensive than most but better than most too.

So much food. Don't get an appetizer. You get soup, salad, and bread with your meal right away. I got the special which was 6oz. New York strip with 5 fried shrimp and mashed potatoes. I had the cream of potato soup before that, and a salad with ranch. My boyfriend had the filet mignon. No complaints. Service, atmosphere, and food were all great! The malbec wine was a great add with our steaks. We will be back!

Food is ok, probably 3.5 stars, you get soup and salad, so much food that by the time my entree arrives I'm pretty full. Bar is ok, probably 2 stars, staff is not friendly including the servers who work in the bar area and drinks are just ok. Ambiance is 1.5 this reminds me of a restaurant my grandma would have liked and you do see lots of g & g in there. It's an ok restaurant with a good value for the buck.

Recently I've gone to Jameson's in Bloomingdale around three times. All three times there was a wait, and it appears that near dinner time, they get pretty busy. We had to wait about an hour on a Saturday at 6 PM. You can reserve a table on Opentable, so I'd suggest making reservations ahead if you know you will be going there. The menu items come with a soup, salad and side, so it's a pretty good value. First off, your server will bring you warm sourdough bread with a yummy whipped sweet cream butter. Also, appetizers if you order any. We tried the spinach and artichoke dip, which I would skip as it was super spinachy (which isn't a bad thing) and the dip itself was lacking something.. The consistency was a little watery. The calamari on the other hand was great! Soup will follow, whichever of the couple of choices you have - I've tried a few of their soups, and they were all pretty good. The salad will come after, which has always been very fresh and green. I especially like upgrading to the greek salad, in which they will add feta and pitted kalamata olives (which are pretty good quality). I also had the caesar, which I have to say that the dressing was really watered down. I was hoping for a thicker, richer dressing. As far as food, I've only had the filet mignon and the beef kabob. Both were good. For a side, you can have a potato or the daily vegetables (the green beans are a no-go). The dessert selections are also good. I particularly like the flourless chocolate cake (very rich) and the brownie sundae. I also tried the carrot cake that was just OK, and the cheesecake, which is pretty standard. My only gripe about this place is how slow the service is. I haven't had any issues with servers - they were all great, but the length of time you have to wait for your drinks, bread, appetizers, soup, salad, dinner, dessert (for parties obviously).. Everything comes out slowly. Prepare to be there for around 3 hours, as after an hour has passed, you are just getting to your salad. Perhaps thats why there is always a wait? I think they need more staff. But overall, I like Jameson's. I will return.

Went here for a party. The food is mediocre. The service was sub par. I wanted another glass of wine and our waitress was nowhere to be found. I waited a half hour and just drank the water on the table. When that was gone, we were totally out of luck.

Went today for lunch after attending a bridal shower here in the spring and thinking the food was good (just not down that way very often). The sandwiches were decently prices (mostly $10-$13) for huge portions. I got the chicken philly, which was very good, and it came with soup, fries, and coleslaw. The service was really good too. I would have no problem coming back to try something else.

Was here last night for my grandma's 85th birthday. Came with a group of 7. We ordered our food and within a few minutes received our soup, the server picked up our dishes very shortly after we finished... A few minutes later.. Salad! Our main course also arrived in a timely manner. (Granted, none of this was RUSHED). I thought or server was great (considering she was trying working with all 8 of us, PLUS other tables). Her name was Jaime. She was really sweet, and pretty attentive. She tried to be personable, but it was really busy, so I know it's hard to connect with a table when you have a lot of running around to do. I have never been here before, and I had pretty decent expectations for the place. I ordered the 8 oz sirloin with roasted red potatoes and veggies. Ordered it medium. The steak was cooked to perfection. Juicy, tender, flavorful. I'm honestly not sure if I got the red potatoes(I think they were just regular small golden potatoes). The veggies were green beans with cooked carrots -very good. My own personal experience was great! But a few of my family members ordered ribs and they were disappointed, and -to me- they looked like they didn't have much meat on them. BUT it's a steak house... Not a specialty bbq joint.. *Side note: It seems like every time I go out somewhere and am not pleased with my food, everybody else's is perfectly fine. But when I go out and everybody else's food is unsatisfying mine is quite good. ... Anybody else have that happen to them?

We recently went here for my mom's birthday dinner. My dad had made a reservation in person for 10 people, but when we got there they refused to seat us, claiming they had no reservation in our name. Now, it was 4:30 when we went in and we could see the dining room was mostly empty. We eventually got seated after the manager came out, and our waitress was great, but rude staff has become a frequent occurrence the past few times we've dined here.

Since I'm working 2 blocks away, And there's not a lot of dining options in Bloomingdale, been here 3 times in the last week. Decent steaks, fish, and chicken. You get soup and salad with an entree, nice. The Chicken and the chopped steak are the best deals and taste good as well. Otherwise, you're pushing close to $30 for steak or fish. Drinks are priced a little on the high side. Nice bar though. A veggie comes with your meal too, here's where they lose a star, broccoli, is the "only" veggie. You can not even buy anything else. Now, I like broccoli, so I'm predisposed to enjoy their broccoli. It's truly awful here. You'd think if you only did one veggie you'd be the master of it. Not the case here. It's a lifeless mass that tastes like its spent the last 2 hours sitting in hot water. It looks like the stuff you wouldn't buy at the grocery store. Is it the executive chef, the manager, or the corporate weenies (this place is a chain) responsible for this? Place is worth a visit, however, enjoy your potato, get an extra app, and skip the veggie.

The good: portions are generous, most items come with soup and salad, the food overall is pretty good. The couple times we've ordered to-go they pack it up very very well. The bad: the service can be dreadfully slow and unattentive

Another upgrade. After an early New Year's Eve dinner, I have some new thoughts to share. Make a reservation for NYE. We didn't and arrived just before 5pm. The lobby was packed. We sat at the bar and ate dinner there. It wasn't overly comfortable, but that's what last minute decision makers get. There was a split decision on the shrimp dejongh appetizer. I liked it. He didn't. The filet was worth every penny. So tender. It was well seasoned and just right. The one stem of broccoli hardly constitutes a side of veggies and shouldn't even be mentioned on the menu. The salad was meh. Some of the lettuce was wilty with brown edges. I picked through that and nibbled on what was palatable. The mashed potatoes should be served on a separate dish. The steak juices were all over the plate and thus all throughout the mashed potatoes. Maybe it's me, but if my foods are going to be mixed, I want to be the one to do it. Finally the chocolate peanut butter pie was heavenly, but the cost was outrageous! It was not a slice. It was a sliver. So reduce the price or increase the size of the piece. I felt like I got the short end of the stick on that one. Overall, the service was okay. It's still obvious that the regulars get preferential treatment around here. Even at the bar when you can clearly see that you aren't being acknowledged. There are some real highlights, but the lowlights keep me from going here too often.

Clueless Called to buy some friends a bottle of wine who were having dinner there tonight. First, they couldn't find the reservation that had been made just yesterday, second they left me on hold for five minutes, third the manager said they could not take credit card information over the phone for fear of fraud. Jimmie John accepts my card. Unbelievable!!!!

Made reservations through OpenTable for 7 with a need for one wheelchair customer. They placed us at a 4 top table that had the leaves up to convert the table to a round table. It was obviously very tight but the hostess didn't seem to notice and placed is there anyway. We asked for another larger table and the manager was happy to accommodate. Overall the prices were reasonable and the food was fair. Large portions but honestly the food was not fabulous enough to make me want to come back again immediately. I wouldn't avoid it but won't be a favorite. We ordered the prime rib, bone-in rib eyed steak, the macadamia crusted tilapia and chicken with artichoke. Nobody complained about the meat and some complimented their dish. The twice baked potato was a bit dry and nothing special. The rice pilaf tasted like something from Rice A Roni but with real rice. The chicken tortellini soups was soggy so much so that the orange tortellini looked like carrots. Broccoli was cooked to softness, which my in-laws were fine with but I like mine al dente. The restaurant was kind enough to bring a dessert for my in-law's anniversary which made them feel special. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. Overall inexpensive and decent food.

Very nice place that is warm and cozy. Definitely a step above, say, outback, but not quite Gibson's or Wildfire. Our server for the evening was Vince and he was outstanding. He definitely took the 3 star food and made it a five star experience. Now, there is nothing wrong with the food. The quality was dead on with the price. I would recommend this for a nice celebration for something like...an 8th grade graduation? Maybe a confirmation? Possibly a job promotion? Even milestone birthday? Not quite treating yourself to the absolute best but an experience at Jameson't let's you look in the mirror and allows you to say, "I've done something good to be here"! I will definitely go back and hand out a recommendation as needed.

The food is average. Slightly better than a Chili's or Friday's. But it's disappointing to get a salad served with bottled gunk as dressing instead of a homemade vinaigrette as the house dressing. Also, there's a VERY unprofessional floor manager that works here. Skinny guy with long-ish black greasy looking hair. We witnessed and overheard him speaking to the busboys as though they were incompetent morons. If you're going to chastise your workers, don't do it in the dining area 5 feet from a customers. Huge turn off.

Stop by here today to celebrate my 2nd anniversary with my girlfriend. Service was really good everyone is nice. We got a fried calamari for appetizer and it was good other than other since some restaurant put some other fried veggie mix with there calamari. We ordered prime sirloin and filet mignon for entree I Am kinda not satisfied with our food, 1st off the string beans are so over cook, the mash potato are bland taste same as the steak. Hopefully they fix it coz I want to try them again.

Staff is great! They have Staropramen on tap here! That in its own makes this place a keeper! Great food! Great out door area!

I've always liked Jameson's since we first went there when they opened. The service is always good and so is the food; a little on the pricey side in my opinion, but the portions are of decent size. Last time we went, I ordered their salmon special, which came with vegetables and an additional side (I chose the twice baked potato). The salmon was pretty good and was a very large fillet, not necessarily something I couldn't have prepared myself, but still pretty good. It also came with soup (I chose the chicken noodle) that had a delicious broth but was lacking in the chicken department. Overall, a nice place to go from time to time, but it won't knock your socks off.

Jameson's has been a family favorite for years! It's our go to place for steak dinners. On my most recent visit we celebrated my mother's birthday on a Saturday evening. We started with the artichoke dip, a flavorful spread served with chips. Our dinner came with bread and butter, soup and salad. The cream of broccoli soup was perfect and the salad dressing was also very tasty. My mom ordered the ribeye, the only steak she orders from here and every time it's done perfectly. I got the filet peppercorn, a special, which was crusted perfectly. The waitress Diane was memorable and even bought my mom a dessert for her birthday :) Jameson's never fails to be our favorite steakhouse!

Jameson's is my family's go-to steak dinner. Good food at a reasonable price. You can't beat the $22 12 oz. Prime Sirloin. All entrees come with warm bread, soup, salad, a potato side and a veggie. You get a lot of bang for your buck here. I haven't found a steak place in the Western suburbs that I enjoy more for the price. As for the service, it is average to good. We have never had any issues, but this is the type of restaurant where they expect you to take a little bit longer to get through the meal. I prefer it that way as I don't want to rush through each course. The atmosphere is not stuffy and is more approachable for families with kids. This will continue to be our go-to steak place as there is nothing we've found that compares for the value.

Jameson's is a family favorite of my husband's parents, so I'd been hearing about it long before actually going there to eat today. What a lot of decent food for a very reasonable price. For $10, I had a bacon cheeseburger that came with fries, pickles, coleslaw, AND a generous bowl of very tasty tomato barley soup. The bacon was crisp, I really liked the buttery bun, and the burger was a winner all around. Everyone in our large party enjoyed their meal, including two who ended up with large, filling salads. The restaurant itself is nice, with comfy chairs and ambient lighting. We had to ask that the (gas) fireplace be turned down, since those of us seated near it felt quickly roasted. Our server seemed a bit inattentive given that the restaurant was nearly empty when we visited. She took everyone's drink order but mine (presumably because I was feeding my baby and she didn't know I could do two things at once), forgot to sub a baked potato for fries for one kid, forgot a drink refill...nothing terrible, just not impressive. Other reviews have mentioned the abundance of old people who eat here. Well, no wonder. They are experts at sniffing out a good deal, and this seems like it.

I was not impressed at all. This place puts a thick, heavy layering of cheese or dressing on everything. The oysters were gross with a thick coating of cheese o top. The waitress was great and got everything we asked for and even took the oysters off of the bill. The chicken with artichoke was very salty so I did not attempt to finish it. The steak that was ordered had no flavoring. Nelli, the waitress is the only reason this review got the second star. Never again will I go back and I truly believe that the restaurant will not last. It was empty during lunch time.

We both ordered fish entrees; I had the Tilapia Almondine and the wife had pan-seared walleye. Both were cooked perfectly and came with rice and green beans and carrots that were quite tasty. Entrees come with soup AND salad and bread. Jameson's is A-OK and offers a darn good value for the money

Review on a to go order. I planed an order for two NY strip sandwiches. They came with all kinds of stuff. Soup, fries and salad. The food was all very good. I used to come and dine in often but their rude service turned me away. I stick to take out since I enjoy their food very much. Their burgers are also a great value.

We made reservations for Valentine's Day for lunch and showed up 10 minutes prior to our reservation. The hostess seemed unable to find our reservation, yet told us our table would be ready shortly. No problem, we were early. Another hostess came up to us about 10 minutes later and asked if we'd be okay with a "high top" table in the bar. Well, no...we made reservations, we don't want a high-top table in the middle of the bar! We expected something better. She was okay with that and seated us in the bar at a booth. Still, we would have preferred dining, but we at least got a booth. Service was incredibly slow. We got asked what we wanted to drink and were brought drinks but never brought any water. We had to ask for water and for refills on our coffee! One of us ordered an alcoholic beverage and when finished never got asked if he wanted another one. It felt like we never had a waitress. We only saw her to get our drink order, appetizer order and dinner order. We were never asked how anything was. We did not even have enough plate settings. We were told that they didn't expect to be so busy on Valentine's Day...yet...it seemed funny since it was impossible to make reservations anywhere on this date! We overheard the waitress apologizing to other tables regarding the long wait time and offering tables free desserts due to the wait. One of us ordered a rib eye and it was questionably cooked. Overall, a disappointment. The atmosphere was great and the menu sounds great but the service and presentation were disappointing. Probably would not go back.

This resto is great for the hopeless romantics as well as the need-more-romance couples. Why? Well, the chef and mixologist have created tantalizing pairings of foods and beverages that are known to be aphrodisiacs. Everything from oysters and champagne, to figs and truffles, these guys really encourage the fire to ignite in your relationship. Happy hour starts at 6 and goes on well into the night. The cocktails pair with different food items and at the 2 for 1 happy hour special, everyone leaves a bit happier. The ambiance is perfect; dark, attractive and encouraging.

This place has improved recently over past visits and this is where I go when I want filet mignon at a good price. Bread, soup, salad, a beer and filet mignon runs around $35.00 all in which I consider a good price for a good meal.

My parents live within a mile of this place and for awhile it became a go-to for proximity but we have finally cut the cord. The service is never great, the food solidly average. Nothing on the menu that jumps out at you and while the cuts of meat might be nice quality for us consistently ruined with under or over cooking. Do not recommend.

3 Stars is about right for this place. I've come here like once or twice a year when I'm in the mood for a steak and it never really disappoints or impresses me. This place is as average and generic as it gets for a steak house. My last trip I had the: Filet Peppercorn: ($22.00) : Their Saturday special. 2 small 4oz filets coated in peppercorn and topped with a creamy peppercorn sauce. Honestly this dish was good but not that great. It comes with mashed potatoes which were kind of over salted and some broccoli. (See Picture) Soup (Complimentary): I had the chicken tortellini soup. It was actually quite good, the tortellini had a tasty cheese mix inside it. Salad (Complimentary) : standard caesar salad, not bad, not great. Bread (Complimentary): The bread here is above average. I think its some sort of ciabatta and it tastes very fresh and comes to your table warm. Considering the price: I would say it makes sense that every meal comes with soup, salad, and bread. The ambiance to this place is nice and the service is pretty fast and attentive. I would say if you're one of those people afraid to try new foods, this should be your safe house. Steaks, chops, pasta, chicken...etc everything you expect from a standard steakhouse that tastes exactly like you imagine everything would taste. Not bad.

In my opinion, this is a good place for people who just want to get "full" rather than actually enjoy what they eat. 3 stars because it was neither good nor bad. I had the Crispy Onion burger. Just a bland meal in a satisfactory environment. If you don't really care what you eat or where you eat, this place is perfect for you. If you actively seek out new tastes & restaurants, skip this place - it's more or less an Outback. I would never choose to come here again but if I had to go there for whatever reason, I wouldn't complain.

We dine out often, but are no way considered "foodies". We had been to the location in Bloomingdale a few years ago, and were not at all pleased with the experience. So we thought we would try it again last night with some friends...maybe its gotten better...WOW..its gotten worse! Long story short......the group had (3) different entrees...unanimous consensus: our food and how it was prepared was very sub par; steak you could barely chew; service was "bizarre"; and prices for what you got was way out of line. Needless to say, never going back there again. Place was packed....we were wondering why?. On the positive side, we did get seated within 10 minutes of our reservation, they do have a nice fireplace, and the valet parking attendant was very friendly! Best of luck if you dine there......

I was pleasantly surprised with my visit here. The food was above average, and prices are very reasonable for the level and amount of food you get. I would say the quality of food is above that of your Outback, Friday's, Lone Star, Fridays, etc, but not quite the level of your top end steak houses. In my opinion they sit in the perfect place of somewhere that you can go to semi-regularly and not feel like you are breaking the bank. It is a perfect Date-night, Celebration, break from the norm destination. On my visit I got the 28oz bone in Ribeye, and it was delicious, you get both soup and salad with your entree and a choice of potato with a side vegetable. I chose the mashed potatoes and was treated to a generous mound of potato goodness with my meal. My date got a Steak and Shrimp combo which I was told was also delicious. I definitely would recommend the Bone in Ribeye though if you are a steak person, definitely worth the little extra money! I highly recommend this place and cannot wait to return again.

2 Stars and I think I'm being generous. The char house is a nice steak house. This is not an Applebee's or a Chili's. The atmosphere was very nice and the restaurant was very clean. The parking lot was accessible and well lit. The service was okay. My drink was refilled and was never empty. I did feel like we were a little rushed. The server brought our drink within a minute or two and then immediately took our order. Our food was delivered very quickly. It was served at a good temperature. Here's where the evening broke down for me. I ordered the large filet mignon. I ordered the steak medium to medium well. When my food arrived, I cut the steak in the middle to check to see if it was cooked properly. My steak was cooked well done. It was cooked beyond well done. I took two bites off of one side of the steak. I ordered the filet mignon so that I could have the tender cut of meat. My steak was like shoe leather. I went to my baked potato and ate it. It was not cooked through. I will say this, my broccoli was very good. LOL 10 minutes after my meal was served, my server came to the table and asked if I wanted a to go box for my meal. She never asked if there was an issue with the steak although she could plainly see that I'd cut it down the middle and only ate two bites off of one side. Overall, don't waste your money. Drive a few miles and go to the Weber Grill or spend a few more dollars and go to Wildfire.

This place gets five stars from me because the service is great and always has been. I have eaten here more than ten times, honestly probably more like 20 or 30. I have never been happier with a steak house in this price range. I always make a reservation so I never wait to be seated. Quality meat always cooked to order. Most meals come with salad, soup, and bread. Suggestions... Always make a reservation. It does take forever to get a table here because it is always crowded for dinner time.

I cannot believe this place is in business. I always though Outback was a mediocre steakhouse but the lower prices justified it's existence. This place, how does it justify itself? The prices are about what I would pay at Wildfire and the food is barely above school cafeteria grade. Low end cuts of meat, poor wine selection and even lower end décor. The service was decent, I won't complain about that at least. Sorry folks, but for your money you can do A LOT better.

Below average diner food in a real nice decor. Felt like I was eating during a senior citizen convention with all guests born over 65 years ago. Food - The worst Chicken Marsala; it tasted nothing like traditional, such disgusting sauce along with over done veggies.

This place is always busy, and the food is always great - never had a bad meal here. Bartender service varies, so sometimes drinks are great, other times, so-so. The staff is always extremely polite - they'll all jump out of your way if you're walking between tables. The only real complaint I have is that when this place is busy, you have to wait longer periods to have plates cleared, water filled, or see your waiter. And it's those little things that keep this from being a 5-star review. You don't want to come here on a weekend night or holidays unless you don't mind not seeing your waiter for long stretches and staring sadly at your empty glasses.

Pretty decent place to get a steak in the area. I've been here about 3 times now. It seems very much the place for a family dinner. Last time I was in I wasn't hungry enough for a steak so I went with one of the sandwiches, which was also pretty large. I didn't think the service was anything special, you could probably go to Outback and have about the same experience at a lower cost....just sayin'. Side note: Everyone and their mother were taking pictures at the fire place! It was hilarious, I guess fire places are a big deal these days.

Ok, the one thing that irks me about dining out is when a host/hostess puts me on a wait list and tells me that my table will be ready in X minutes, and then it ends up taking X + 15 minutes, someone goes up to them to check in on the time, they tell us we're next, and then we end up waiting another 10 minutes as other people are seated before us. You're busy, I get it, but overestimation will get you a lot happier diners than underestimation and fibbing. With that out of the way, Jameson's is an alright place to get a variety of foods, including steak, chicken, seafood, burgers, and sandwiches. What the other people in our party like best about this place is the fact that you get BOTH soup AND salad with your meal. For me, that means fill up on free soup & salad, take 2 token bites of my meal, and get the rest wrapped up to be eaten in the comfort of my own home-and I'm not complaining. I got the fish & chips special (it was a Friday). It's not fish & fries like most other places, it's actual homemade chips. Because they're such accommodating folks at the ol' charhouse, I was able to switch the chips for boiled potatoes. The fish was just meh, more fried breading than fish, which was pretty darn disappointing. The boiled potatoes were good, but I guess it's sort of hard to screw up throwing some potatoes in a pot and waiting for them to get soft enough to eat. There are most certainly some other area taverns/restaurants that put these fish to shame. I guess that's what I get for ordering fish at a steakhouse though, right? The only time I come to Jameson's is when someone else is footing the bill, because frankly, I can think of at least a handful of other places I'd rather eat.

Ok I gave this shit hole another chance after so many years ago . The service was so bad, I didn't make it past getting water. We let the manager know why we were leaving . And he couldn't have cared less. So onward to the black steer in Elk Grove .

I came here with my boyfriend in hopes of having a nice steak dinner and boy was I wrong. We were greeted by the host who asked us if we'd been here before, and we said no, he then explained the menu etc. Our waitress came by and she seemed to act like she didn't care we were even there. She took our order and brought our food after we waited for about 25 minutes. The food was mediocre to say the least, very bland and over cooked. We ordered our steaks medium rare and got well done. Our waitress disappeared.... we literally sat with our dishes on our table no drink refills for about 20+ minutes. My boyfriend got up and told the host that we had no service for the past 20 minutes. Another 15 minutes go by... some guy came walking up to our table with a strawberry cheese cake of some kind and tossed it on our table (I don't know how it didn't fall over onto the table with how he threw it at us) and said "Here ya go!" and just walked off. We were confused.... about 5 minutes later the host came by and said "You got a free dessert" and gave us the check. My boyfriend and I didn't even eat it (we don't like that type dessert) and we told the host and he just shrugged and walked away. I do not recommend this place.

Made Valentine's Day reservation for 1pm. Arrived around 12:50pm...checked in with host & she seem confused like she couldn't find my reservation - do they even check Open Table?? We waited for 5-10 minutes and got asked if a hightop table in the BAR side was okay...I said, no, I'm sorry, I would like a booth. We got seated at a booth in the BAR side. Host made a comment on how surprised she was that it was so busy as she was walking us to our table......it's Valentine's Day - how are you surprised?! The server we had, Stephanie, was horrible. She could have been more outgoing. I was unimpressed. I ordered a vodka soda - was never asked if I wanted another one, my glass just sat empty the whole time. We had to ask for water, didn't bring it before our drinks. Everyone else was asked if they wanted more coffee or water - what about me?? Food was great - got the crab cakes for appetizer and Ribeye for entree. Chicken Teriyaki was bland. Wasn't even Teriyaki sauce!! Red potatoes were plain, not even seasoned. I just don't understand how a restaurant could be so shocked that they're busy on Valentine's Day. I was disappointed on where we were seated and the service really blew the experience. I would be back but couldn't bare to deal with the poor customer service again! The only good thing about this experience was me being able to spend time with my family!!
