we ordered for office lunch today after our boss wanted to treat and i offered to pick up the food....it turned out to be very eventful, i ended up on the wrong side of town. 1 and half hours later the restaurant delivered to the office after me dodging my co-workers hungry stares. It was really good stuff, i loved my spicy cashew chicken the sauce was delish, the other dishes were general tasos chicken, schezwan veggies and beef broccoli. Will certainly order again!!

Wonderful Vietnamese soup! Generous portion could feed 2. Chocked with great BBQ hot spiced sliced pork, chicken. Shrimp imitation crab and fresh veggies with a great broth and udon noodles. I look forward to trying more items! I carried out but it looks nice , clean and friendly service.

Grew up near Jade Dragon and after moving away I have not found a better Chinese restaurant. Same owners for over 30 years...that's saying a lot. Comfortable dining area (remodeled after many years) fresh veggies, seafood is fresh and great portions. They have the BEST egg rolls I have ever had. Filled with meat & veggies (not the heavy peanut filling I've had at other restaurants). Lo mein is outstanding and they offer pan fried noodles as well. Pot stickers are delicious, as is the crab ragoon, soups, bbq pork....everything is great here and good quality meat. You can request no msg as well. Great for carryout too... this is authentic Chinese food & they really care about their customers ...this place is truly a gem!

People who don't like this place because they think there are better fast Chinese food places, you're ridiculous. Seriously, growing up eating from Jade Dragon multiple times a week for the full 18 years I lived at home, I took this place for granted. Now that I moved out to Naperville, where somehow there is no good Chinese around me at all that I have found, when I came back to Jade Dragon, I was melting. This place is so good. Their Egg Drop Soup is the best I've ever had. Period. Most have that gross oily feeling to it, not Jade's. Their food in general is super good. I've never had a bad dish. The owners are friendly, the food is good, it's located in a decent spot (especially convenient now that Dominiks closed down), and there is plenty of seating inside to dine in. Also, they give both a fortune cookie AND an almond cookie. Best place ever.

I have been going to Jade Dragon for 30 years before they closed and was so glad when they reopened. They still make the best Chinese food around. Their "Seafood Gorbar" is my favorite. Owners are very friendly and will explain anything on the menu you don't understand.

Tried Kung Pao chicken tonight. It was terrible. The dish had more carrot than chicken and still was made with mystery brown sauce. Yuck! Only recommend on their noodle dish.

Ordered egg rolls to buy sometime to keep looking at the menu for dine in. It's taking a while to make which is fine. But the waiter hasn't came back to see if we are done with the menu and we are. If it's taking a long time for egg rolls how long is my lunch going to take? Ok I just ordered my food at 2:45pm let's see how long it takes. It is 2:55. So that's more exactable.

I really like the Mongolian chicken, I have it every time! The only thing that sucks is that they are closed on Sunday lol

Very good food. Have tried Singapore noodle, General Tso Chicken, and Kung Pao chicken. They were very good and flavorful. Kung Pao was my least favorite though; it was salty and lacked flavor. The The egg rolls are awesome! Will be going back there!

My first visit but OMG! The veggie egg rolls are off the hook, delicious and large. I ordered the large hot and sour soup which was not so hot but really good. To go, they made up a veggie and tofu in garlic black bean sauce. Basically combined two dishes on the menu. I'm stuffed but I just had to try it. So good. Service was fast and friendly. I really hope that future visits are just as awesome.

Average Chinese food. Good, but nothing spectacular. The people are all very friendly and they have quick service. Good spot to grab lunch, even dining in you can be in and out fairly quickly. Plus, you can't beat the price. My lunch special and hot tea totaled a mere $6.77, included tax! And it was quite a bit of food...not your normal take-half-home-dinner portion but still a decent lunch portion, in my opinion. Bonus, in addition to fortune cookies they gave us each an almond cookie. Score!

Jade use to be great. They must of lost their cook. Food is bland and has no taste. We have tried to give them a chance many times thinking it was a quirk. Judging a restaurant for its smoothies says a lot. Lol!

I've only gotten the orange chicken here but ohemgee it is the best! Must try it if you never have. Pineapple banana smoothie is yumm. Only Chinese restaurant I will eat at now. Lunch prices are so cheap too! Excellent complimentary tea as well.

When ever we go by our friends in Bensenville we always order from Jade Dragon! They are hands down one of the best Chinese places we have eaten at! Love their hot and sour soup.

Giving it 4 stars because their strawberry banana smoothie is ridiculously delicious! The cashier makes it right in front of you so you know exactly what they are putting in it, fresh fruits! Yum! Might just get one after work today! I haven't been to Jade Dragon in a few years now, but went back recently and had crab rangoon, beef chow fun, and beef with garlic sauce and onions. Crab rangoon was really crispy and tasty. The filling was generous. Beef chow fun had a delicious flavor to it, however, it was a bit oily. My bf didn't really like the beef with garlic sauce and onions, but he hasn't found a place where he really likes this dish. Overall, definitely enjoy the smoothie and crab rangoon. The service is always friendly and welcoming.

I have had dozens of eggrolls from dozens of places but Jade Dragon has the best. I adore their Mongolian Shrimp it can be hit or miss sometimes the sauce is never consistent but it's always tasty. The service is prompt and friendly. The restaurant itself is small but clean.

Maybe I came on an off day, but I really disliked the food. The wontons came with a strange meat-like paste inside of them and were more crisp than filler. They freaked me out a little. But not as much as the main dish. Beef with garlic sauce was neither beefy, nor saucy. The meat was rubbery. Onions were limp and chewy. The sauce was indistinguishable. The only way I can truly describe this is to compare it to the look, texture and smell of the Fancy Feast wet (I live with two cats. This I know.). My friend's chicken was just slightly less creepy. Service was great. The service, the strong tea and good fortune cookies were the only redeeming qualities. I'll have to come back and hope that this doesn't constitute as their typical, because I love the atmosphere and the staff.

Wow I ordered shrimp fried rice amazingly awsome....:)

Ordered Beef & Broccoli not so great... There was more brocolli than beef & there wasn't much flavor to the dish. Meat was really rubbery too. As usual beef fried rice & egg rolls were delish. My dad didn't care for the Egg Foo Yong which he loves at other places. I'll have to stick to what I know at this restaurant... We were a bit disappointed this time around.

My wife and I had lunch at our favorite local Chinese spot. Always good quality and fresh. Very clean and we've never been disappointed. I love the eggrolls.

The food is average Chinese. You order ala carte which makes this a overly expensive average Chinese dinner. Also the atmosphere is above average. Clean and modern if not a bit dull.

A coworker suggested it otherwise I wouldn't have tried it. I was there for lunch with another coworker. First off, the smell there was weird. It didn't smell like anything remotely food related. The service was subpar. Clearly the regulars, or they apeared to be regulars, were getting far more attention, we were nearly ignored. Waitress seemed annoyed that we weren't sure what we wanted as soon as we arrived. My vegetarian companion ordered the vegetable delight but was served bbq pork fried rice with it. She picked out the pork, I would have sent it back. This was after my companion left the soup because it was clearly meat based. The waitress seemed irritated when my companion stated that she couldn't eat it. The shrimp with peapods literally just had peapods with some shrimp. The white rice was perfect but the tea had steeped far longer than it should have. When we tried to pay to leave we were completely ignored for regulars with carry out orders greeted by name. OK I get it regulars are treated better but if I'm treated like this I won't comeback. I've had much better Chinese food in the area.

Jade Dragon is great. I am surprised the reviews arent better. The hot and sour soup is unbelievable. All of their lunch specials are really great, and come with soup and an eggroll. The service is great and the owners are very friendly. Jade Dragon is yummy!

I love this place. The atmosphere, the friendly staff and of course the great food. every time you sit down a waiter brings a pot of tea which is very and I usually just have tea with my meal. everything I have had has been good.

I love that place. Staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. They have great prices and good selection of food. I usually get the general tao chicken extra spicy with shrimp fried rice. The dinner comes with soup and a egg roll. Diner costs me around $10 and the portions are very generous. I'm not sure if they do deliveries. .

Working in the burbs, I am regular at Jade Dragon...yes, regulars do get more attention here (usually the owner and waitresses sit down and chat with us), if they are busy and you feel you are not getting served fast enough, just speak up...sometimes you have to know what to order as I have had a couple disappointing meals, but overall, I really enjoy JD for the price (3 people are usually around $20), so this is a four star suburban lunch rating...the soups (which are a meal) are especially good, I would highly recommend all their soups, I usually get soup or fried rice and/or crab rangoon...I just finished having lunch and had to yelp about my udon noodle soup with pan fried pork chop (a special, but I told the owner to put it on the menu)...some people may realize this is a Japanese noodle at a Chinese restaurant...it was very tasty, the broth was very good, the noodles were the best soup noodles I ever had...the fried pork chop was different in a soup because the the breading was soggy and fell apart, but the pork was soooo tasty in the soup...if its not on the menu, try to order it anyway...you can also get the soup with seafood or bbq pork.

To this individual, Jade Dragon has the greatest take out Chinese ever. Their Egg Rolls are home made and are simply hands down the best. All there dishes are delicious. George the owner has been doing this along time and I have yet to find a better take out Chinese Restaurant. You can also sit and eat in if you choose, but they moved to a new location that is much smaller than the old, Yet it is well worth it the trip from where ever you live. I compare all the take out Chinese food I eat to Jade Dragon's!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
